1b0dd7eede Bug 11671 - Restructure patron lists add form for improved usability
Non-standard interface features have the potential to cause confusion.
This patch brings various aspects of the patron lists add page into
conformity with other staff client pages.

- Add "select all/clear all" links for the checkboxes
- Add a "remove selected" to the top of the table (see also Lists)
- Split functionality of add from from delete form
- Hide "Add patrons" button until at least one patron has been selected
- Remove non-standard trash can icon from table's checkbox column
- Exclude checkbox column from table sorting
- Add confirmation to deletion actions
- Improve breadcrumb specificity
- Add title-string sorting to date column to accommodate sorting for all
  date format types

To test, apply the patch and create a patron list.

1. Search for and select patrons for the list. Selecting a patron should
trigger the display of an "Add patrons" button.
2. Click "Add patrons" and confirm that the add process completes
   correctly.
3. Search for and select a patron and also check the box next to an
existing patron. Click "Add patrons" and confirm that no patron is
   removed.
4. Check that the "select all" and "clear all" links work correctly.
5. Select patrons on the list and click the "Remove selected" link. You
should be prompted to confirm your choice.
4.a. Click cancel and confirm that the deletion process aborts.
4.b. Click OK and confirm that the deletion process completes.
6. Repeat step 4 with the "Remove selected patrons" at the bottom of the
   page.
7. Confirm that the page title and breadcrumbs correctly show the list
   name.
8. Switch between us and metric dateformat settings and confirm that
table sorting by date is correct in both cases.

Followed test plan. Patch behaves as expected.

8a9cdcd3bc Bug 10415 - Add course reserves to staff client home page
A link to course reserves is in the global header menu but not on the
home page. All links from the global header should be present on the
home page as well. This patch adds it.

To test, apply the patch and if necessary clear your browser cache. View
the staff client home page. If you have "UseCourseReserves" enabled you
should see a link for the course reserves page which is visually
consistent with the other module links. If you do not have course
reserves enabled you should not see the link.

Unrelated: I positioned the admin link after the tools link because it
bugged me.

3f028c72d4 Bug 10558: (follow-up) styling improvements
This patch makes improvements to the default DataTables CSS and corrects
a couple of errors in the original patch. CSS for the "full numbers"
type pagination, used by this and the quotes editor, has been cleaned up
and made more visually consistent with the brief pagination style.

Also changed:

- removed some hard-coded paths containing "http://staff.kohadev..."
- Added a column header to the column showing record match details. This
provides both information and a clearer target for clicking to resort
- Expanding the default table pager controls for this page and the
  quotes editor (for consistency)
- Correction to quotes.css to fix pager display problem on wide screens

76daec8bff Bug 11618: ensure jQuery timepicker is picked up by the i18n toolchain
We handle internationalization of the jQuery datepicker by adding
language configuration strings to calendar.inc which can be processed by
the translation script. This patch adds a similar configuration file for
the timepicker.

This patch also upgrades the timepicker plugin to the latest version,
minified, and places it outside the prog template directory for global
use. The path in templates has been updated accordingly.

CSS has been added to more completely hide the controls for seconds,
milliseconds, and microseconds.

To test, apply the patch and clear your cache so that the browser
loads the new version of the jQuery plugin. Confirm that date and time
selection still function correctly on the circulation page, the patron
detail page, and the offline circulation page (circ/offline.pl).

Test at least one datepicker instance which does not use the
timepicker.

Run translate update on a po file and confirm that the timepicker
strings are now present.

b464eda7c3 Bug 11486: Show renewal count on 'check out' and 'details' tabs in patron record
This patch adds the renewal count to the 'Check out' and "Details' tabs
of the patron record.

This information already exists in the OPAC view of the patron record.
Since librarians might be serving patrons in person who want to know
this information without looking it up online, it makes sense to show
it in the staff client.

There may also be times where librarians want to see how many renewals
a patron has left, how many they've used already, etc. when making other
decisions.

_TEST PLAN_

Before applying:

1) Go to "Check out" with a patron that has some check outs before today
2) Add some check outs for today
*Ensure that all issues are for items that can be renewed*
3) Note that the Renew column just says '0' followed by a check box
4) Check the 'Detail' tab. It should say the same.

Apply the patch.

5) View the "Details" and "Check out" tabs again
6) Note that the renewal count now appears in the form resembling:
5 of 5 renewals remaining

01c101a6b9 Bug 2310: display tooltips explaining why patron menu items are disabled
With some staff client menus options are displayed as disabled when the
logged in user doesn't have permission to perform that function. This
patch adds Bootstrap tooltips to patron menu items with text explaining
why they are disabled.

To test, log in as a user who lacks permission to modify patrons or set
permissions. Open a patron record in circulation or patrons. Hovering
over renew, delete, and set permissions links (in the patron toolbar
"More" menu) should trigger a tooltip with a brief explanation.

d1bec84142 Bug 11146: Show a go back link on no permission page
When a user does not have permissions for a page or module, the
authentication page is displayed with message

"Error: You do not have permission to access this page.".

Most librarians uses the "previous page" button of their browser to
come back on the page they were before trying to get to the
non-permitted page.

This patch adds a button to help coming back to previous page.
It also changes the "Click to log out" link as a button.

- Login with this user
=> You get to intranet home page

88b46f3422 Bug 10401: Add ability to merge invoices
Given how easy it is to accidentally receive items from one invoice on
multiple invoices, the ability to merge invoices can be quite handy.
This patch adds that ability to Koha's Acquisitions module.

3) Create two invoices from the same vendor for merging, and receive at
   least one order on each.
4) Do a search on the Invoices page that brings up both the invoices you
   created.
5) Check the boxes next to the two invoices.
6) Click "Merge selected invoices."

Also, a race condition existed that resulted in pending transactions
only getting deleted from the local database in certain circumstances
(fast connections under Chrome, mostly). This patch fixes that so that
successfully-uploaded transactions are always deleted.

This patch also addresses Jonathan's suggestion:
3/ add a message on check in (currently the input becomes empty but the
   user is not informed).

... and Magnus's suggestion about moving the Synchronize link to the
right on the homepage.

Also, this addresses the further issues Jonathan noted:

- The tab of checkouts always shows "*0* Checkouts"
- If I am not well-educated, I click on the "Check out" link on the
offline home page, I enter a barcode, click on "Check out" and I get a
js error (without user message): "TypeError: curpatron is undefined"
(with chromium I get: Numeric transaction modes are deprecated in
  IDBDatabase.transaction. Use "readonly" or "readwrite").
- There is a "border-right" css rule on the h5.patron-title. It is
display when there is no patron selected) [really minor!].
- tables are displayed even if there is no data
- The "Clear screen" link (X) points to an old script:
  circ/offline-circulation.pl
- There is a warning when clicking on the "Synchronize" link when the
user is offline, but not for the "Pending offline circulation actions"
  link.
- Still exists:
> The "Checked in item." message text never disappear (even if I go on the
> offline home page (circ/offline.pl#offline-home)).

Finally, this patch adds a link to the Pending offline operations page
on the synchronize page for easier navigation.

44d0ad451f Bug 10240: Offline circulation using HTML5 and IndexedDB
This patch adds an HTML5-based offline mode to Koha's existing
circulation module, allowing librarians to check out items using a
basically familiar interface. The feature will be implemented using
the Application Cache and IndexedDB features of the HTML5 specification,
both of which are fully supported on Firefox 10+ and Chrome 23+, with
limited support going back to Firefox 4 and Chrome 11. The basic
workflow enabled by this patch is as follows:

Part 1: While connected to the Internet
1. Enable offline functionality by turning on the
   "AllowOfflineCirculation" system preference.
2. Sync the offline circulation database on the computer that will be
used for offline circulation by following the "Offline circulation
interface" link on the Circulation home page, choosing "Synchronize (must be online)",
and clicking the "Download records" button. This process may take a while.
3. Bookmark /cgi-bin/koha/circ/offline.pl (the page you are currently
on) for easy access when offline.

Part 2: While disconnected from the Internet
4. Navigate to /cgi-bin/koha/circ/offline.pl using the bookmark you
   created while online.
5. Start checking books in by scanning the barcode of an item that has
been returned into the box in the "Check in" tab.
6. Scan the barcodes of any additional items that have been returned.
7. Start checking out books to a patron by scanning the patron's barcode
in the box in the "Check out" tab.
8. Set a due date (the "Remember for session" box will be checked by
default, since circulation rules are not computed during offline
transactions and therefore a due date must be specified by the
   librarian).
9. Scan an item barcode (if you did not set a due date, it will prompt
you) to check the item out to the patron.
10. If a patron has a fine you can see the total amount (current to when
the offline module was synced), and record a payment. Unlike when in
online mode, there will be no breakdown of what item(s) fines are
for, and you will only be able to record the payment amount and not
associate it with a particular item.

Part 3: While connected to the Internet
11. Click the "Synchronize" link and choose "Upload transactions" to
upload the transactions recorded during the offline circulation
    session.
12. Navigate to /cgi-bin/koha/offline_circ/list.pl (there will be a
link from the Offline circulation page) and review the
transactions, as described in the documentation for the Firefox
    Offline circulation plugin:
    http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Offline_circulation_firefox_plugin

ab362b93a7 Bug 7813: Ability to delete local cover images
This patch adds the ability to delete local cover images from the
detail page. It adds an 'X' button to trigger the deletion. It occurs
using a new SVC script called cover_images that accepts the following
parameters:

 - action
 - biblionumber (used for checking imagenumber validity)
 - imagenumber (repeatable)

It then deletes all valid images passed and returns a JSON object
containing the imagenumbers and the deletion status (1/0). The operation
is triggered using jQuery.ajax, and with the response the corresponding
images get deleted.

Note: currently one image is deleted at a time, but the code is there to
be used.

To test:
- Open the detail page fr a biblionumber containing one or more cover
images, go to its images tab.
- Apply the patch, reload the page, go to the images tab.
- Thumbnails should look better than before ;-)
- An 'X' button should show below each cover.
- Clicking the 'X' button should trigger an alert message asking for
  confirmation.
 a) Cancel: nothing happens, reload the page and check nothing got
    deleted.
 b) Accept: the deleted image should be gone, reload the page to check
it doesn't exist anymore and is not a browser/DOM manipulation trick.
- Signoff

Note: check having more cover images than those that fit the width and
see it wraps fine.

P.S. I chose not to implement every possible action on the svc script, but
another bug could be filled for more improvements.

47bd795b82 Bug 10325 - Allow system preferences to be overridable from koha-httpd.conf
For Koha installations with multiple OPAC URLs, It would be nice to be
able to override systeprefs from the http conf file. Case in point,
a library wants to have two separate opacs, one the is only viewable
from within the library that allows patrons to place holds, and a second
public one that does not. In this case, overriding the system preference
RequestOnOpac would accomplish this simply, and with no ill affects.

This feature would of course be should only be used to override
cosmetic effects on the system, and should not be used for system
preferences such as CircControl, but would be great for preferences
such as OpacStarRatings, opacuserjs, OpacHighlightedWords and many
others!

Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Disable the system pref OpacHighlightedWords
3) Do a seach in the OPAC, not the term is not highlighted
4) Edit your koha-http.conf file, add the line
     SetEnv OVERRIDE_SYSPREF_OpacHighlightedWords "1"
to your koha-http.conf file's OPAC section.
   Also add the line
     SetEnv OVERRIDE_SYSPREF_NAMES "OpacHighlightedWords"
   to the Intranet section
5) Restart your web server, or just reload it's config
6) Do a seach, now your search term should be highlighted!
7) From the intranet preference editor, view the pref,
You should see a warning the this preference has been overridden.

in 2011, the staff client has been without any sort of search browsing.
Until now. This patch is an all-singing, all-dancing, all-compatible
implementation of search browsing that will work across multiple
browser tabs and on any browser since IE7 (though the staff client
layout is broken on IE7).

To test:
1) Perform a search that will bring up multiple results.
2) View one of the results.
3) Use the Previous and Next links to browse along the search results.
4) Use the "Return to results" button to check that you end up at the
correct page of results, even if you page through more than 20
   records.

538ab5631e Bug 2774 - Path to theme is hard-coded in many places
This patch corrects more places in Koha where the path to the "prog"
theme is hard-coded in templates, CSS, and scripts.

Staff client home page:

Paths to the Koha logo background image and the module image sprite have
been corrected. Inactive and hover states of the module links
(circulation, patrons, etc) should look correct.

addbiblio.pl:

An <img> tag is replaced with a text link and an
additional CSS class. CSS uses an image-replacement technique to display
the image as before.

To test, open a blank or existing bibliographic record for editing.
Confirm that the "tag editor" icon displays correctly in two cases: 1)
tags linked to plugin editors and 2) tags linked to authorities. Both
should look correct and work correctly.

System preferences:

The system preferences editor appends a "loading" image to system
preference submit buttons when they are clicked. This patch changes
ajax.js to insert a <span> styled with a background-image instead.

To test, open system preferences and modify any preference. Submit the
change and confirm that the "loading" image appears correctly.

Background jobs:

Any place in Koha where a background job is used displays a progress
bar. This patch corrects the path in CSS to the progress bar image. To
test, perform an action which triggers the display of a progress bar.
For instance, batch modification of items. Confirm that the progress bar
image displays correctly.

blue.css:

I don't know if this is still used by anyone, but a couple of image
paths in this CSS file have been corrected.

640124829a Bug 9757: Make staff client list contents view more like search results
This patch revises the staff client list contents view to better match
staff client search results, showing more information and offering more
ways to interact with the contents than before.

- List contents output has been modified so that the staff client can
use XSLT-formatted data just as the OPAC can. As in the OPAC it
  depends on XSLTResultsDisplay being enabled.
- A "toolbar" has been added which is similar to that in search results,
offering the option to add items to a Cart, add them to a different
list, place multiple holds, remove items from the list, or merge
  records.
- This toolbar has been made to float on scroll like the one on the
  MARC edit page.
- Library and shelving location have been added to the display of call
numbers. Call numbers are linked to a search as they are in search
  results.
- Edit links are included just as they are in search results.
- Automatic focus on the add by barcode form has been removed so that
the page doesn't jump to the bottom unnecessarily.
- basket.js's "addMultiple" function has been modified so that it
receives an array of checkboxes rather than looking for checkboxes in
a specific form. This helps abstract its functionality for use on both
search results and lists. results.tt is modified accordingly.
- The page layout has been widened to make room for the increased amount
  of information on the page.
- A new "merge" icon has been added to the default Bootstrap sprite.

To test:

- View both public and private lists in the staff client.
- View lists with and without contents.
- Test the functionality of options in the toolbar: Add to cart, add to
lists, place multiple holds, remove items, merge items.
- Test with users with and without cataloging privileges to confirm that
catalog-related controls are correctly shown or hidden.
- Test with XSLTResultsDisplay set both to "default" and empty.
- Since the staff client and OPAC use some of the same code, test that
lists in the OPAC have not broken.
- Since JavaScript was modified which affects both lists and search
results, confirm that adding items to the Cart and Lists from search
results hasn't been broken by this patch.

Revision corrects conditional display of hold link, hiding it in cases
where there are no items or the record's itemtype is not for loan.

Also corrected is the behavior of the Cart/List "save" button in order
to prevent it from submitting the "remove items" action which is the
default for the form.

1da312ce43 Bug 10010 - Use jQueryUI Accordion to display constraints in MARC subfield editor
The jQueryUI Accordion widget, included by default in Koha, is
well-suited to handle the kind of show/hide actions which are used in
the MARC subfield editor. This patch replaces the custom-writted JS with
jQueryUI JS and markup.

be869ab279 Bug 8215 - Course Reserves
Adds a course reserves system for academic libraries.

The course reserves system allows libraries to create courses
and put items on reserves for those courses.

Each item with at least one reserve can have some of its attributes
modified while it is on reserve for at least one active course.
These attributes include item type, collection code, shelving location,
and holding library. If there are no active courses with this item
on reserve, it's attributes will revert to the original attributes
it had before going on reserve.

Test Plan:
  1) Create new authorised value categories DEPARTMENT and TERM
  2) Create a new course, add instructors to that course.
  3) Reserve items for that course, verify item attributes have changed.
  4) Disable course, verify item attributes have reverted.
  5) Enable course again, verify item attributes again.
  6) Delete course, verify item attributes again.
  7) Create two new courses, add the same item(s) to both courses.
  8) Disable one course, verify item attributes have not reverted.
  9) Disable both courses, verify item attributes have reverted.
 10) Enable one course, verify item attributes are again set to the
     new values.
 11) Edit reserve item attributes, verify.
 12) Disable all courses, edit reserve item attributes, verify
the item itself still has its original attributes, verify
the reserve item attributes have been updated.
 13) Verify the ability to remove instructors from a course.
 14) Verify new permissions, top level coursereserves, with
     subpermissions add_reserves and delete_reserves.

fac9d5447a Bug 10108 - can't print more than one page of overdues
Printing a report like overdues in Firefox results in a printout which
cuts off in the middle. I traced the cause to something in the YUI grid
system, although I'm not sure what specific definition is the cause.

This patch adds a "screen" parameter to the @import which loads the YUI
grid CSS file. This will disable YUI grid layouts in print views. The
main disadvantage to this, as far as I can tell, is that it will
"linearize" some layouts. For instance: the patron detail page
(moremember.pl) which on screen is divided into two columns. I think
this disadvantage is outweighed by the ability to make complete prints.

To test, apply the patch and clear your cache. Try printing various
reports from Firefox. Printouts should look correct and be complete.

28518a033b Bug 9766 - Remove YUI menu on budget planning page in favor of different column-hiding system
The budget planning table previously used a YUI menu as part of a
system for hiding and showing table columns. Instead of trying
to convert that sytem to Bootstrap I have used code from the
batch modification/deletion pages which uses a list of checkboxes
to show and hide table columns. This has the advantage of giving
the user visual feedback of what columns are hidden and of offering the
user an interface which is familiar from other pages.

This patch also moves CSS from a batch-operations-specific
CSS file into the main CSS file. Batch modification templates have been
modified accordingly.

To test, view the budget planning page and choose different
"plan by" options (by month, by library, by item type). Test
the show/hide action on each individual column and using the
"show all" and "hide all" checkboxes.

ec9fc2fce4 Bug 9887 [Revised] Use DataTables on circulation page
The circulation page, when the UseTablesortForCirc preference is
enabled, uses the old tablesorter plugin. It should use DataTables
instead.

This patch removes references to the tablesorter plugin and makes these
changes to enable use of DataTables:

- Pass two new unformatted date variables to the template from
circulation.pl so that sorting can be performed on this data.
- Add DataTables configurations for the table of checkouts and the
  table of relatives' checkouts.
- Add a new plugin to the main DataTables configuration script to allow
sorting on data embedded in a <span>'s 'title' attribute.
- Add <span>s to each table with a title attribute containing the
unformatted date data which DataTables needs to perform correct
sorting. This eliminates the need for a special sorting algorithm to
accomodate various date and datetime formatting options.
- Set a template variable for checking whether circ exports are enabled.
This reduces repetition. DataTables configuration changes based on how
  many columns are present.

To test, load the circulation page for patrons who match various
conditions:

- Having only checkouts from today
- Having checkouts from today and previous days
- Having checkouts only from previous days
- Having relatives who have checkouts (from today, from previous days,
  from both)

Test these situations with UseTablesortForCirc enabled and disabled.
Test these situations with circ exports enabled or disabled (with
ExportRemoveFields filled or empty, for instance).

Sorting should work correctly on all columns with the dateformat
preference set to any option.

All other circulation functions should work normally.

Revision adds missing include for table footer when there are previous
checkouts and removes &nbsp; from empty table header cells which were
messing up auto-detection of numeric data. The global CSS for table
borders has been tightened up to improve handling of alternating row
colors in DataTables-sorted tables.

b5497a5f46 Bug 9571 - Fix width for textareas in Edit Item screen
This patch adds a style for textareas on the Edit Item screen of addbiblio.pl so that they are roughly the same length as the other input elements around it on the page.

To test:

Before applying patch...

1) Create a new item for any biblio with a URL (subfield u) of over 100 characters (you can use www.lettercount.com to count the number of characters in your URL).
2) In any browser (I've already looked at IE, Firefox, and Chrome on Windows), edit the item (either by clicking "Edit Items" from the Normal view of the bib record then clicking "Edit" next to the applicable item, or clicking on the "Items" view in the bib record and clicking "Edit item" next to the relevant item).

c061790f97 Bug 9783 - can hit submit twice when adding patrons
Currently, clicking twice or more on the Save button will generate
duplicate patrons when adding patrons in the Patron module. Of course,
there is handling that detects this, so you can choose to either edit
the original record (i.e. throw away the duplicate) or create a
duplicate record.

However, it shouldn't get to that point by clicking on the Save button.
That handling seems to be there to handle cases where you go through the
whole process of trying to add a new patron only to find out that they
already exist in the system (or at least their username/password do).

--

This patch uses the "preventDoubleFormSubmit" function (which is also
used in holds and fines to prevent double form submits). It was also
necessary to edit members.js, since "check_form_borrowers" was forcing
form submits despite the "preventDoubleFormSubmit" function. I've
changed it from forcing a document.form.submit to return true, which the
browser will still submit the form if it's a unique borrower, but the
"preventDoubleFormSubmit" function will still prevent multiple submits.

I've also added a "waiting" class to staff-global.js which changes the
cursor to "wait" (i.e. loading circle graphic). I've included an
"AddClass" call in "preventDoubleFormSubmit", so that the cursor graphic
will change to show users that the page is loading so that they don't
click Save again. Of course, even if they do click save again, there
will only be one submit. However, this way - as Chris Cormack mentioned
- the user knows that "something" is happening and that the form isn't
broken.

-------
Test Plan

Before applying patch...

1) Fill out the form for a new patron in the Patron module
2) Click "Save" several times
3) Once the page loads, you'll be shown a prompt that says that this
borrower already exists. You will have the option to view the
original record, edit the original record, or create a new patron
   anyway
4) Click on edit the existing record, and delete the patron

Apply the patch

5) Repeat steps 1 and 2
6) Notice that your cursor has changed into a little "loading" circle
graphic when you hover over the "body" of the page, as well as any
links or any inputs/buttons of the type "submit" within that form
7) Notice that no matter how many times you press the button, the form
is not re-submitted. Eventually you will be taken to the new patron's
record (no mention of duplication will occur)

Ta da! Multiple form submits are prevented and the loading graphic
signals to users that the form was submitted and that Koha is processing
their data

--

I understand that some people might want to change which elements are
given the "waiting" class. I'm happy to renegotiate this as necessary.

c28f7d7de5 Bug 6209 [Revised] Standardize on one plugin for client-side form validation
This patch adds the jQuery "Validation" plugin
(http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/Validation) and includes it by
default in the staff client along with an include file containing
translatable strings for all of the plugin's possible messages.

The staff client's main JavaScript file has been modified to perform
automatic validation of any form with the class "validated."

For a simple example I have modified the library entry form
to mark required fields as required (something which had not
been done before). Each required field has been given a class,
"required" and the HTML5 attribute "required." The former adds
the hook for the plugin, the latter adds browser-based validation
in recent browsers (and which will be superceded by the plugin
if JavaScript is enabled).

This will check for inputs classed "required" without any
additional configuration. More complex forms (with specific
data types, for instance) will require more inline JavaScript
configuration.

$("#FormID").validate({ /* configuration details */ });

Also added to the library entry form are checks on the email and URL
fields via classes ("email" and "url", respectively). This demonstrates
validation of content without forcing the field to be required.

To test, go to Administration -> Libraries and Groups and choose
"New library." Submit the form without entering a library code
or name. You should be prevented from submitting the form and be
shown an error message by each field. Perform the same check with an
existing entry.

To test browser-based validation, disable JavaScript and follow
the same procedure.

Revision rebases the patch against current master and adds missing

8b7c8cdecb Bug 9690 - Replace YUI buttons on the catalog search results page with Bootstrap
"Save," "Place hold," and "Z39.50 search" buttons on the catalog search
results page are generated by YUI.

This patch removes YUI styling from the "Save" button and uses Bootstrap
to apply styling to the "Place hold" and "Z39.50 search" button.
The "search to hold" split button menu is converted to Bootstrap as well.

The "Save" button's appearance is inconsistent with the Bootstrap ones,
but right now we don't have a good method for overriding the default
submit button CSS with Bootstrap button styling. I hope this can be
dealt with in a more global way in a subsequent patch.

To test, search the catalog in the staff client. Confirm that the

This patch converts the buttons on the MARC editor page to Bootstrap,
replacing YUI button and menu code with Bootstrap markup.

- Test using a user who does not have "edit items" permission. There
should be no menu attached to the "save" button.
- Test using fast cataloging through circulation. A single save button
  should appear, redirecting to items.

In all cases validation should proceed before saving. Leave a required

0cdef9334d Bug 9615 - Combine staff home page images into single sprite
In order to reduce the number of concurrent downloads on the staff
client home page the images representing the various modules (circ,
patrons, etc) could be combined into one sprite.

This patch creates a new sprite containing all images and corrects the
CSS for the default and hover states of each link to match the previous
version. The separate images have been removed. Also added is a
GIMP-compatible Photoshop file from which the sprite is generated.

To test, apply the patch, clear your browser cache, and view the staff
client home page. Each module icon should look correct in its default
and hover states.

2244905303 Bug 9420 [Revised] Work on Bootstrap for Koha: Circ toolbar
This patch converts the toolbar include file used by Circ and
Patron pages to Bootstrap, replacing YUI button and menu code
with Bootstrap markup.

To test, view any page in circ/ or members/ which uses
members-toolbar.inc (circulation.pl, moremember.pl, etc).
Buttons and menus should look correct and work correctly.

This version adds icons to the toolbar from the icon sprite included
with Bootstrap and revises the sprite to include two new ones, for
"copy" and "place hold" (for use in later patch). This customized
version is left in intranet-tmpl/img in order to keep
koha-tmpl/lib/bootstrap free of customized files.

Also added in this patch, a CSS tweak to override a style in the default
Bootstrap CSS for a class "close" which is already in use by Koha. To
replicate the Boostrap "close" class use "closebtn"

ecf42ffbd0 Bug 9420 [Revised] Work on Bootstrap for Koha
YUI JS is deprecated as far as Koha is concerned, and jQueryUI menus
don't seem to be as robust as they should be. This makes Twitter
Bootstrap very attrative for its menus features as well as other
aspects.

This patch revises the staff client header menu to include features from
Bootstrap, including replacement of the YUI-driven "More..." menu with a
Bootstrap version, and a new user menu taken from Corey Fuimaono's
similar patch.

To test, be sure to clear your cache after applying the patch. Load any
page in the staff client and confirm that the menu at the top of the
screen looks correct and works as normal, including functionality of the
"more" menu. Confirm that the username/logged-in branch triggers a menu
with "set library" and "log out" options. Confirm that Cart operations
trigger the correct confirmation popup.

Revision moves the Bootstrap assets out of the prog template into
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/lib.

71b338044b Bug 9385 - patron add labels right aligned in chrome
The <legend> element has been given right alignment which seems to only
be respected by WebKit-based browsers. Users of Chrome and Safari see a
right-aligned legend while others see a left-aligned one. Given that the
legend is often applied to fieldsets spanning much of the screen it
seems wiser to have them left-aligned.

This patch removes "text-align:right" from the CSS so that <legend> will
inherit the default left alignment. To test, view any page with a legend
element, for instance the patron add form. In Firefox, Chrome, Safari,
IE, etc. the legend ("Patron identity," "Main address," etc.) should be
left-aligned in the fieldset.

a24eda9914 Bug 9545 - Fix import MARC bibliographic framework text label
This patch improves the labeling of import controls on the
MARC frameworks page by making import options more explicit. Other
changes:

- Form markup fixed to match standard form constructions
- JavaScript corrected to make more embedded English strings
  translatable.
- Form labels made clickable by making "for" attributes match unique
  form field ids.
- Some warning re-worded for readability and translatability.
- Large "loading" icon replaced with more proportional smaller one.

700f9980bb Bug 5790 - Prevent deletion of records with holds
Test Plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Create a record
3) Create an item for the record
3) Place a hold on the bib
4) Attempt to 'Delete all items', you should recieve
an error message stating to delete all holds before
   deleting all items.

Also, it is possible to get into a situation where a record has
holds but no items. In this situation, it is not possible to
view/delete the holds without adding an item back to the record.
In this case, attempting to delete the bib causes a warning, but
does not prevent deletion.

7535f2bfa3 Revert "Bug 7167: New version for updatedatabase"
This reverts commit c9cb55ef47.

c9cb55ef47 Bug 7167: New version for updatedatabase
This patch use DataTable, see BUG|BZ 6836
      - css/datatables.css
      - lib/jquery/plugins/jquery.dataTables.min.js
      - js/datatables.js

http://bugs.koha-community.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7167

Bug 7167 follow-up

Major changes:
* creating database tables for update on the fly, the 1st time the update script is called
* version is checked on mainpage.pl (and here only). If syspref Version differ from kohaversion.pl, the old updatedatabase is launched. If there are updates missing from new mechanism, the updatedatabase page is reached
* kohaversion check on each page is now useless in Auth.pm, removed dead code
* Updated installer: at the end of the process, retrieve all updates and automatically mark them "OK", as they're included in installer

Minor changes:
* adding copyright
* adding poddoc
* updating a warning, for better clarity
* switching from $$var to $var->
* small TT glitch fixed in updatedatabase.tt
* about.pl now returns the Version systempreference PLUS all the patches that have been applied

Bug 7167 follow-up perlcritic & numbers display & partial apply depending on DEBUG

* add use strict to updatedatabase, that is now perlcritic compliant
* partial apply of DB revs is now managed by DEBUG env variable = if DEBUG=0, the user can just apply every DBrev. If DEBUG=1, we're in a dev env, the user know has the option to apply DBrevs one by one
Display:
* in updatedatabase, small spelling changes
* in about.pl, remove 0 just after . (3.06.01 is displayed as 3.6.1)
* improve the display of applied numbers on about.pl
 - before this patch, if you have N, N+1, N+2, N+3 and N+10 DB rev applied, about was displaying : , N+1 / N+2 / N+3 / N+10
 - after this patch you have N......N+3 / N+10
* add ORDER BY into list_versions_already_knows to have number retrieved in the same order whatever the order they are applied

Bug 7167: Remove check_coherency

As suggested by Katrin, we've removed the call to check_coherency. It intended to provide readable comments when some SQL was wrong. Removing this sub result in the SQL error being displayed. That's OK because the sysadmin or the developer can google the error, understand it, then fix it.

We first split on delimiter and then extract comments. You can now put
\n for delimiter comments.
ex:

-- another comment

Bug 7167: Add .pl and .sql examples

Those files are in version directory, so will never be executed by the updater
If you want to provide an update, do it in a 3.09/ directory (if your update is expected for 3.10 version)

Note that the updater use a md5sum checker. So, if the same update is in 2 different places, it will be detected. That will be handy for changes made on both stable and master: a library running stable will get the update when updating. When upgrading to the next major release, Koha will detect the patch has already been applied, and no error will be thrown. With the previous mechanism, a DBRev ported to stable was re-executed when upgrading to master, resulting in a nasty (but usually harmless) error message

Bug 7167: Improve display + factorize get_queries

Despite it's size, this patch is dealing with display questions only:
 * The text "comments" and "queries" was hardcoded in ajax-updatedb-getinfo.pl script. It has been replaced by a JSON call, returning 2 separate values, "comments:" and "queries:" is now in the template, making it translatable
 * Some minor tweak in the display (like putting things in bold, displaying OK in green, warnings in yellow and KO in red)
 * Reordering the column headers for more readability:
    * Status column is merged with availability, column is after status
    * Status/availability terms more clear: "Not applied" instead of "unknown", "Applied and OK", "Applied and failed", "Applied and forced" are the 3 other statuses
    * Removed one click to display comments on DBREv not yet applied: before the patch, one had to click "Show details", then "Get comments", now, "Get comments" is enough

Bug 7167 reindentation & removing dead code

* The if (! defined $ENV{PERL5LIB}... block was wrongly intented
* The 3 lines running update.pl are useless: the update (new mechanism) is run from admin/updatedatabase.pl script. This part of install.pl is run only when you have "old style" DB revisions.

Summary:
 * old mechanism = it's run as previously, by reaching the installer/install.pl?step=3 page, that applies all revisions
 * new mechanism = when you log-in or reach mainpage.pl, you reach admin/updatedatabase.pl, where you can see what will be run, and run it

Tiny side effect = the check for old mechanism is now done *after* authentification (thus it's not done on each page call). It means that the user will have to enter login/password twice :
 * first to log-in to Koha
 * second to run installer/updatedatabase.pl?step=3
As the old mechanism is deprecated, we can expect this will happend only a few time in the history of a setup, it's not a big deal.

df7e36e8fb Bug 8893 - show more information on printout
My proposed solution eliminates the special print view
page altogether and has the Print button trigger the
browser's print function. I've tweaked the print stylesheet
to improve the output.

Normally I don't think print buttons in the interface
are necessary, since a user could be expected to be able
to print the page using browser controls. But I think it's
best not to remove the button when people are used to seeing
it.

The behavior people will find now is different when clicking
the button from different catalogue pages. A user on the MARC
detail page, instead of getting the generic print view will
get a print of the page they're on. Overall I think this
is more in line with what a user would expect.

d2cd2e09aa Bug 8726: ExplodedTerms suggestion plugin (functionality)
When working with hierarchical subject headings, it is sometimes helpful
to do a search for all records with a specific subject, plus
broader/narrower/related subjects. This patch adds a suggestion plugin for
these "exploded" subject searches to Koha. Note that this patch depends on
both bug 8211 AND bug 8209.

To test (NOTE: this test plan covers both 8211 and 8726):
1) Make sure you have a bunch of hierarchical subjects. I created
geographical subjects for "Arizona," "United States," and "Phoenix,"
and linked them together using 551s, and made sure I had a half
dozen records linking to each (but not all to all three).
2) Do a search for su-br:Arizona (or choose "Subject and broader terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona" and the
records with the subject "United States"
3) Do a search for su-na:Arizona (or choose "Subject and narrower terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona" and the
   records with the subject "Phoenix"
4) Do a search for su-rl:Arizona (or choose "Subject and related terms"
on the advanced search screen with "more options" displayed), and
check that you get the records with the subject "Arizona," the
records with the subject "United States," and the records with the
   subject "Phoenix"
5) Ensure that other searches still work (keyword, subject, ccl,
   whatever)
6) Use "Did you mean?" page in admin section to enable ExplodedTerms
   plugin
7) Do a keyword search on the OPAC, confirm that searching for exploded
   terms is suggested.
8) Do a subject search on the OPAC, confirm that searching for exploded
   terms is suggested.
9) Do a non-keyword, non-subject search on the OPAC, confirm that
searching for exploded terms is NOT suggested.
10) Disable ExplodedTerms plugin and enable AuthorityFile plugin.
11) Do search on OPAC, confirm suggestions are made from authority file.
12) Sign off

83370c519c Bug 8523: Display auth hierarchies w/all marcflavours
This commit adds support for displaying authority hierarchies for all
flavours of MARC, not just UNIMARC. Display now uses the jQuery
jstree plugin, selected with the help of Owen Leonard, resulting in a
much faster experience for users.

Be aware that the jstree file uses tabs rather than 4-space indentation,
which I left as-is so as to make it easier to integrate upstream
releases in the future.

To test:
1) Enable the AuthDisplayHierarchy syspref
2) Create authority records with a hierarchy of see also fields
(in MARC21/NORMARC, you'll be using 5xx fields for this, with a
subfield $w=g for broader terms and subfield $w=h for narrower
   terms)
3) View the authorities in the OPAC, noting the hierarchical view at
   the top of the page.

This initial patch does not create bidirection linkages from
unidirectional links in MARC21 authorities. This means that when moving
up the authority hierarchy, lower levels will disappear. This is
intentional, as the first patch is intended merely to ensure that
AuthDisplayHierarchy functions the same for all marcflavours. A future
patch will add a cron job to generate the bidirectional linkages, once
we are sure that the hierarchy functionality for UNIMARC and
MARC21/NORMARC coexists peaceably.

Resolved conflicts in updatedatabase.pl, sysprefs.sql and in one of
the CSS files.

Test plan:

1) Run t/AuthoritiesMarc.t
New tests complete without any errors.

2) Make sure updatedatabase works correctly.
Update works nicely, new system preference is also added to syspref.sql

3) Make sure new terms are translatable.
Created new po files for de-DE and checked for new terms.
All translations appear correctly.

4) Make sure everything works with AuthDisplayHieararchy OFF
- Add authority
- Edit authority
- Delete authority

5) Test feature with AuthDisplayHieararchy ON
- Add authority
- Edit authority
- Delete authority

6) Add a couple of hierarchically linked authorities
Note: links have to be created in both directions

Example:
151 $aGermany
  551 $a Baden-Württemberg $w h

151 $aBaden-Württemberg
  551 $a Konstanz $w h
  551 $a Germany $w g

151 $aKonstanz
  551 $a Baden-Württemberg $w g
  551 $a Fürstenberg $w h
  551 $a Paradies $w h

151 $a Fürstenberg
  551 $a Konstanz $w g

151 $a Paradies
  551 $a Konstanz $w g

Tree shows up nicely above the authority record
- in staff
- in OPAC
  - on the normal view tab
  - on the MARC view tab

7) Checking the logs for warnings
- no Javascript errors or warnings
- no warnings or errors in log files

4a8e71ea93 Bug 6617: Improve MARC21 enhanced contents display (intranet)
The display of "Enhanced" 505 (contents) fields in the MARC21
XSLT is very poor, resulting in large, unreadable blocks of text,
and -- for some series -- so much unnecessary duplication in the
Notes tab that important information is entirely obscured. This
patch reformats "enhanced" contents fields (MARC21 505 fields with
$t and $r) so as to be more readable by breaking up entries on
separate lines and making titles bold (to make them stand out more).

This patch does not address duplication of information in the Notes
tab, per discussion on the #koha IRC channel.

it is very unfriendly.

2b74492d7d Bug 8181 [REVISED] Replace DynArch calendar widget with jQueryUI version
All instances of the old DynArch calendar have been replaced with
jQueryUI versions and the old library files have been removed.

calendar.inc has been modified to include jQueryUI localization
strings and global configuration options. Just add a "datepicker"
class to an input field to trigger a datepicker prompt.

If you would like two fields in one from to limit each other (one
is date from, one is date to), add these classes to each:
"datepickerfrom" and "datepickerto." This will prevent an invalid
entry, e.g. a date in the latter which falls before the former.

jQueryUI is now upgraded to the latest verision, 1.8.21.

Edit: Now with proper translatability, date formatting, first day

3aaaf2f2e4 Bug 7943: Authority search results are untranslatable
The HTML for authority search results was previously generated in
C4::AuthoritiesMarc::BuildSummary, which meant that it couldn't be
translated. This patch moves the HTML generation into the templates
by introducing a new authorities-search-results.inc include file for
both the OPAC and the Intranet which contains a Template::Toolkit BLOCK
for rendering the authority results. Fixes the authority autocomplete
by removing the untranslatable strings, and returning only data from
the database.

To test:
1. Apply patch.
2. Test authority searching in the authority module in the staff client
3. Test authority searching in the authority control plugin in the
cataloguing module (and the plugin for UNIMARC field 210$c, if you
   can figure out how)
4. Test authority searching in the OPAC

Signed-off-by: Katrin Fischer <Katrin.Fischer.83@web.de>
Tested with MARC21 data.

1) Applies cleanly on current HEAD.

2) Authority search in staff

Patch works wonderfully, only some small notes found while testing that have
not been changed by this patch:

ENH note: Search terms show up nowhere. So if I want to change the sorting, I have to
repeat typing in my search term. Even if the form does not keep the term, it
should be visible somewhere on the screen what I searched for.

ENH note: The pagination on top and at the bottom of the result list are formatted
differently. Maybe some missing CSS?

ENH note: Also the authority type is not shown at all in the result list.

3) Cataloguing and authority plugins

The autocomplete function works nicely.

ENH note: There is only one small enhancement
I could imagine. If I start my search from 100 it will limit the search to
'persons' but the autocomplete will also suggest other authorities. It would
be a bit cleaner, if the autocomplete could limit by the appropriate authority
type too. Very nice feature.

Plugins overall work nicely. Created links include the authority numbers and work
correctly.

4) Authority search in OPAC

Works nicely. Display is consistent, but translatability greatly improved.

ENH note: In staff we use 'Details' in OPAC we use 'View full heading' - I wonder
if maybe 'details' would be better understandable for users?

Note: Code reveals a system preference 'AuthDisplayHierarchy' that is
not available in the system preference editor. I talked to Jared and he
will work on this feature later on. For now it's no regression, as the
preference has never been visible.

68b30468c3 Bug 8143 [REVISED] Upgrade jQuery tabs to current jQueryUI version
Current jQuery-driven tabs are done using a very old
version of the tabs plugin. This patch upgrades jQueryUI
to the latest version and adds the tabs widget dependency
to the jqueryui js file and updates the syntax for existing
tabs:

- $("#foo > ul").tabs(); changes to $("#foo").tabs();
- Remove full URL from tab links (use #anchor only).

Pages with "static" tabs (tabs which are built in the
markup rather than generated by the plugin) have been
modified to use their own style. Examples: pay.tt in
the staff client and opac-readingrecord.tt in the OPAC.

ef0cf7b9a6 Bug 7747 - Replace YUI autocomplete with jQueryUI
In order to facilitate a more painless process for converting
to jQueryUI I will submit separate patches for various "widgets,"
starting with Autocomplete.

This patch replaces all instances of YUI autocomplete with
a jQueryUI version. The patch includes an up-to-date version
of jQuery and jQueryUI libraries.

The patch also moves some markup in instances where it should
have been removed in favor of a different include.

To test, find the various autocomplete instances and confirm
that they are working:

 - Circulation search header autocomplete
 - Overdues patron attribute authorized value filter (must
have patron attributes enabled, and a patron attribute
   defined which uses authorized values.
 - Authorities search plugin. Edit a MARC record and use
an authorities plugin link to do a search for authority
   records.

Incomplete: There is a YUI autocomplete instance in a UNIMARC
plugin (unimarc_field_210c_bis.tt) which I couldn't figure out
how to test, even on a sandbox set up with UNIMARC. I could use
help with a follow-up.

eb7e930eea Bug 7977: Quote-of-the-day (QOTD) Feature for OPAC
This feature will add the option of displaying a select quote
for the day on the OPAC homepage. It will include the addition
of a QOTD editor in the tools section of the staff interface
which will allow the addition, editing, and deletion of quotes.
A single system preference will enable/disable the display of
the QOTD on the OPAC homepage. A new granular permission will
also be added to conrol user access to the QOTD editor tool.

Possible extentions to this would be code to allow alternate
quote selection algorithms to be added to vary how the currently
displayed quote is selected from the table of quotes.

This patch is a squash of the following work:

--Adding quotes table to kohastructure.sql and updatedatabase.pl

Note: This patch is intended for a MySQL based installation only.
That means that it includes backticks because that is what is required
at this point in history to install Koha correctly on a MySQL based
installation.

Feel free to port this over to the Pg stuff in the data/Pg directory.

--Adding system preference to control display of QOTD on OPAC main page
--Adding sample quote data

These quotes are taken from various US presidents. I'm not sure these
are applicable to the rest of the world, so I'm leaving it to translators
and others to add sample quote data for other languages.

db32e098d4 Bug 8048 - better spacing on categories for attributes
- Convert <h4> to <caption> and adding comfortable padding.
 - Add quotes to attribute for validity
 - Add padding to patron messaging note too since it has
   the same problem.

To test you must have at least one value added to the PA_CLASS
authorised value category. At least one patron attribute must
be categorized using that value.

On the patron edit screen that patron attribute category should
display with comfortable padding.
