This patch set the language used in slips folloinw this logic:
--> uses patron's preferred language
--> if patron's preferred language is 'default', use the interface language
--> if there is no interface (for overdue_notices for example), use the first language in 'language' system preference
To Test:
1. Install the other language (i used fr-CA here)
1.1.
gulp po:update fr-CA
./misc/translator/translate install fr-CA
1.2. In Administration > Global system preferences, search for language and check the added language
2. Create a manual invoice in a patron's account and pay it
3. From the Transactions tab, click 'Print' next to the payment line
--> On the printed slip, there's the word 'Payment' in English (OK)
4. Switch interface to other language
5. Redo step 3
--> On the printed slip, the word 'Payment' is still in English (not ok)
6. In Administration > Global system preferences, enable TranslateNotices
7. Go to Tools > Notices and slips > ACCOUNT_CREDIT and copy the content of the letter into all the languages
8. Redo step 3 (you should still be in the other language interface)
--> On the printed slip, the word 'Payment' is still in English (not ok)
9. Edit the patron's account and change the preferred language to the other language
10. Redo step 3
--> On the printed slip, the word 'Payment' is in the other language (Paiement) (OK)
11. Apply the patch
12. Reset config
12.1. Edit the patron's account and change back the preferred language to 'default'
12.2. In Administration > Global system preferences, disable TranslateNotices
13. Redo step 3 (you should still be in the other language interface)
--> On the printed slip, the word 'Payment' is in the other language (Paiement)
14. Switch interface to the english language
15. Redo step 3
--> On the printed slip, the word 'Payment' is in English
16. In Administration > Global system preferences, enable TranslateNotices
17. Edit the patron's account and change the preferred language to the other language

Add an unallocated option to CreateQueue and pass through as needed
Avoid deletion of the tmp_holdsqueue, and only check holds
and items that are not currently matched
A future hold with a higher priority will still fail here - because the
item may already be assigned, but on next change to the biblio it would
be corrected
To test:
1) Apply both patches
2) Enable RealTimeHoldsQueue and set HoldsQueueSkipClosed to "open"
3) Add a holiday to the calendar for all libraries for today, visit:
/cgi-bin/koha/tools/holidays.pl
-- Click today's day on the calendar and pick "Holiday repeated every same day of the week"
-- Click "Copy to all libraries". Hit "Save.
4) Place a biblio-level hold on a biblio record and set the pickup location to a library that has available copies, visit:
-- /cgi-bin/koha/reserve/request.pl?biblionumber=76&borrowernumber=51
-- Click the first "Place hold" button to place the biblio-level hold.
5) Verify that that hold got added to the holds queue, visit:
/cgi-bin/koha/circ/view_holdsqueue.pl?branchlimit=&itemtypeslimit=&ccodeslimit=&locationslimit=&run_report=1
6) Place a biblio-level hold on a biblio record where there are no other holds and copies are available at another location, but not the pickup location, visit:
-- /cgi-bin/koha/reserve/request.pl?biblionumber=437&borrowernumber=51
-- On the "pickup at" dropdown, pick something else other than "Centerville", e.g. "Fairfield".
-- Click the first "Place hold" button to place the biblio-level hold.
7) Check the holds queue again, notice that this 2nd hold was not added to the queue:
/cgi-bin/koha/circ/view_holdsqueue.pl?branchlimit=&itemtypeslimit=&ccodeslimit=&locationslimit=&run_report=1
8) Run the updated cronscript:
perl misc/cronjobs/holds/build_holds_queue.pl --force --unallocated
9) Notice nothing changed in the holds queue, visit:
/cgi-bin/koha/circ/view_holdsqueue.pl?branchlimit=&itemtypeslimit=&ccodeslimit=&locationslimit=&run_report=1
10) Remove the holiday we created previously, visit:
/cgi-bin/koha/tools/holidays.pl
-- Click today's day on the calendar and pick "Delete this holiday"
-- Click "Copy to all libraries". Hit "Save.
11) Run the updated cronscript:
perl misc/cronjobs/holds/build_holds_queue.pl --force --unallocated
12) Confirm the second hold is added to the holds queue, visit:
/cgi-bin/koha/circ/view_holdsqueue.pl?branchlimit=&itemtypeslimit=&ccodeslimit=&locationslimit=&run_report=1

This new feature allows to manage facets for Elasticsearch from the
administration page.
Prior to this the facet fields were hardcoded in the codebase.
Librarians can then add/remove facet fields and modify their label.
Test plan:
1. Create a new search field and set it a label different than its name.
2. Save
3. Go the bibliographic mapping tab
4. Add 1+ mapping for this search field (Searchable and facetable must be "Yes")
5. Add, reorder, remove new facets
6. Save and reindex your records
7. Search and notice the new facet list
QA: There are several wrong things in this area (ES + facets code,
everything, pm, pl, tt AND on this administration page). I have done my
best to clean the code as much as I could and keep the code cleaner
after than before. But there are still a lot to do.
There are still inconsistencies on this page (like we need to save to
see the changes applied to the other tables), but this is clearly out of
the scope of this bug report.
Another enhancement would be to move the facet list to a different DB
table, that could bring more flexibility:
* display or not (could be opac/staff/both/none)
* define the size per field (number of facet to display)
* order: move search_field.facet_order to this new table.
But, again, it's a lot more work.
More work is done in this area, please see related bug reports.

This patch adds the ability to skip forward issues when receiving and generating the next issue
from both the serial receive page and serial collection page.
To test:
1. Apply patch.
2. Set up a subscription for a bib record.
3. Go to Serials -> Search your subscription -> Serial receive
4. Note that below last expected issue there will be checkbox to toggle a field to
specify how many issues to skip when recieving and generating the next.
5. On serials-collection page there is also a button 'Skip issues and generate next'.
When pressed will open a modal promting how many issues to skip.
6. Generate issues with different values and make sure the correct issue is generated.

We need to:
[1] Remove obsolete framework parameters if any (yes there are).
[2] Check scalar context calls if any (most probably not).
Ad 1:
How to find them? Git grep and look at each hit. You will need the -C
parameter to add a few context lines around the call even.
Found one in C4/Biblio.pm and six in Suggestions.t with ''.
Found one in C4/Items on a second line. Similar one in Koha/EDI.
Note: sub receipt_items in EDI has no unit tests yet.
Also did a few git searches like:
git grep GetMarcFromKohaField | grep -v -P "GetMarcFromKohaField.*;"| grep -P "GetMarcFromKohaField\s*\("
Note: Seeing still three lines; they are all fine. Last line comes from
testing to trigger the warn.
Ad 2:
Have been looking at each git grep line and did not spot any
scalar context call. Before this report, we had an example in
POD and the Biblio test only.
Try to find them by performing smarter git searches?
Did look again at results for:
git grep GetMarcFromKohaField | grep -v -P "\)\s*=\s*&?(C4::Biblio::)?GetMarcFromKohaField" | grep -v -P "use "
The tests from this grep are included in the last test plan line.

Warns also about use of obsoleted framework parameter. This

we will update calls in scalar context.

This patch adds the ability to use multi select in report dropdowns.
It uses syntax similar to using a list and when using the :all option
WHERE i.homebranch in <<Select libraries|brnaches:in>>
Test plan:
1. Create an SQL report with with new syntax for multi select
SELECT
i.homebranch,
count(*)
FROM items i
WHERE i.homebranch in <<Select libraries|branches:in>>
GROUP BY i.homebranch
2. Save the report
3. Note that you get the error
The authorized value category (branches:in) you selected does not exist.
4. Apply the patch and repeat steps 1 and 2
5. Note the report saves successfully
6. Run the report
7. Note the select dropdown is now a multiselect
8. Run the report with multiple selections
10. Click show SQL and note that multi select parameters get inserted into the query like:
WHERE i.homebranch in ('CPL', 'FFL', 'FPL')
11. Test other types of queries with multiple multi selects and lists etc

In testing, the messaging preferences are set in the form when EnhancedMessagingPreferences is enabled.
Switching categories silently updates the preferences unless you have made changes, in which case the
user is warned and can confirm if they want to reset or not. The code only applies to patron creatoin, and
does not seem to be taken into account during OPAC self-registration.
It seems the silent defaulting when saving can be removed in favor of the current updates/warns in the actual
form.
To test:
1 - Set some messaging preferences for at least two categories
2 - Enter a new patron
3 - Confirm switching categories correctly defaults the messaging preferences
4 - Edit the preferences and switch to another category with defaults
5 - Confirm the warning appears, and preferences are set if confirmed and ignored if not
6 - Set to a category with defaults, uncheck all, and save

ILL classes file structure is, for the most part, around 7 years old and doesn't follow a strict logic. It's so confusing that some test files exist redundantly.
This housekeeping should help future work in regards to ISO18626 to add Koha as a supplying agency instead of just requesting agency, as is now.
It should also help future housekeeping of moving backend related logic out of the Illrequest.pm into Illbackend.pm (now ILL/Request.pm and ILL/Backend.pm as of this patchset).
It should also help in structuring the addition of a master generic form (see bug 35570)
This patchset will require existing backends to be updated to match the new class names and structure, if they invoke them.
Test plan, k-t-d, run tests:
prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/ill_*
prove t/db_dependent/Koha/ILL/*
Test plan, k-t-d, manual:
1) Install FreeForm, enable ILL module, run:
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ammopt/koha-ill-dev/master/start-ill-dev.sh)
2) You'll have to switch the FreeForm repo to the one compatible with this work, like:
cd /kohadevbox/koha/Koha/Illbackends/FreeForm
git checkout reorganize_ILL
3) Do some generic ILL testing:
3.1) Create a request
3.2) Add a comment to a request
3.3) Edit a request
3.4) Edit a request's item metadata
3.5) Confirm a request
3.6) List requests
3.7) Filter requests list using left side filters
4) Install a metadata enrichment plugin:
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-api-pubmed
4.1) Create an ILL batch and insert a pubmedid like 123
4.2) Add the request and finish batch
5) Verify all of the above works as expected

A plugin hook for GetPreparedLetter would be very useful. It could be used to add universal headers and/or footers to messages, attach news, and modify notices in other ways in whole or in part. It could even be used for call webhooks when certain types of notices are sent.
For example, the MessageBee ( https://uniquelibrary.com/messagebee/ ) plugin for Koha generates YAML based notice content, which is then further processed by the before_send_messages hook. This process is unreliable due to the possible changes in data between the creation of the yaml and the reading of that yaml and transforming it into JSON with much more data. For example, the yaml may contain an issue_id, but that checkout may have been returned in the meantime. A hook like this would allow the MessageBee plugin to skip the yaml step and create the json data directly which is then sent to MessageBee for transmission to the patron.
Test Plan:

2) prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Plugins/Transform_prepared_letter_hook.t

If an SMS::Send driver ( such as Twilio ) requires additional parameters, those
parameters have to be placed in a yaml file named after the SMS::Send driver,
and the path to that file specified in the Koha conf file.
It would be good if we had the option to specify those parameters in a YAML
system preference instead. This would be less complicated and avoid requiring
an administrator to update that data from the backend.
Test Plan:
1) Set up an SMS::Send driver that requires additional options;
a Twilio account meets these requirements and can be created for
free. Set this up using the traditional file based system.
2) Verify you can send SMS messages
3) Move the contents of that file into the new system preference
SMSSendAdditionalOptions
4) Verify you can still send SMS messages
5) Delete the file
6) Verify yet again you can still send SMS messages!

If ConsiderLibraryHoursWhenIssuing is set to shorten the loan period to
the closing time, if the loan period initially pushes the due date to
the following day, the day still gets added when calculating the due
date. We simply need to hardcode the due time here as the due day is the
same as the issue day.
We only need to calculate a due date if ConsiderLibraryHoursWhenIssuing
is set to extend the loan period to the next opening day, as we'll need
to consider holidays/closed days.

Since days for branch hours are stored as 0-6 in the database, when it's
a Saturday (6) incrementing the date leads to an error when issuing an
hourly loan because no opening hours are found for the non-existent day
(7).
This patch fixes this by calculating the tomorrow day and setting it to
0 if it's greater than 6.
This patch also corrects the mappings for days, where local_day_of_week
caluclates the date with Sunday first, which put it out of sync with the
database opening hours days.

This feature adds the ability to set opening and closing hours for your
library and for these hours to be considered when calculating due dates
for hourly loans. If the due date for an hourly loan falls after the
library closes, the library can choose for the due date to be shortened
to meet the close time, or extended to meet the open time the next day.
This feature adds a new table 'branch_hours' for storing the open and
close times per day for each library, and a new system preference
'ConsiderLibraryHoursInCirculation' to choose which behaviour should be
followed when calculating due dates.
To test:
1. Apply patches and update database. Upgrade schema if not applying
patch with schema changes. Restart services.
2. Go to Administration -> Libraries. Edit a library and scroll to the
bottom to find the 'opening hours' section. Test adding and removing
open and close times on various days. Confirm saving works as expected.
3. Add a new library and test adding open and close times works as
expected.
4. Edit your default library and save open and close times for each day.
5. Go to Administration -> Circulation and fine rules. Edit a rule, set
the unit to 'hours' and set the loan period to a number that would cause
a checkout to be due after the close time you just set, i.e. if you set
your close time to be 5pm and your system time is currently 1pm, set the
loan period to be 5 (5 hours) so the calculated due date would be 6pm.
6. Go to Administration -> system preferences. Search for
ConsiderLibraryHoursInCirculation. It should be under 'Checkout policy' in
the Circulation system preferences. Confirm the pre-selected option is
'ignore'. Keep this tab open.
6. In a new tab, get the barcode for an item that has an itemtype
matching the circulation rule you just set.
7. Go to the checkouts for a patron that has a categorycode matching the
circulation rule you just set.
8. Check out your item. Confirm that the checkout is due at the end of
the loan period, not taking closing hours into consideration. Return the
item.
9. Back in your other tab, set ConsiderLibraryHoursInCirculation to
'close', so the due date should be shortened to meet the close time.
10. Check out your item. Confirm the checkout is due when the library
closes. Return the item.
11. Back in your other tab, set ConsiderLibraryHoursInCirculation to
'open', so the due date should be extended to meet the opening time.
12. Check out your item. Confirm the checkout is due the next day when
the library opens.
13. Confirm tests pass t/db_dependent/Circulation/CalcDateDue.t

If an SMS::Send driver succeeds, it returns a value that evaluates to true. Every driver I've inspected uses croak when it encounters a failure state.
When an SMS message fails to send, code hard codes the failure code to NO_NOTES (No notes from SMS driver).
We should store the real error in `failure_code` and display that if the failure code doesn't match a known failure code.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Set SMSSendDriver to any value
3) Generate a pending sms message
4) Run the following query:
update message_queue set status = 'failed', failure_code = "This is a test";
5) View the patron's messages, note the delivery note contains the
contents of the failure code
6) Run the following query:
update message_queue set status = 'failed', failure_code = "SMS_SEND_DRIVER_MISSING";
7) Reload the patron's messages, not the delivery note is now "The SMS
driver could not be loaded".

Before this patch we get all holds on a record and see if we can fill them with available items.
This means we check to fill holds that the item in questoion may not be able to fill, especially
in the case where no holds are allowed on the item type, this is wrong
To test:
1 - Find or create a biblio with two items of different item types
2 - Make sure one item type allows holds, and the other has:
"Default holds policy by item type"
Set to "No holds allowed"
3 - Set system preference "AllowRenewalIfOtherItemsAvailable" to "Don't allow"
4 - Check out the unholdable item to a patron
5 - Set a hold for a different patron on the next available item
6 - Confirm the checked out item can be renewed (don't renew, just view the checkouts page)
7 - Checkout the other item to a third patron

Items are no longer embedded in the MARCXML and because of this the MARC data
does not need to be saved once more after changing record items data.
The "defer_marc_save" is no longer needed since bulkmarcimport.pl was the only
place this option was utilized in order to resave MARC data after possibly changing
items data. There is also a bug bulkmarcimport.pl where the record data is re-saved
without stripping items if duplicate items are found and the dedup barcodes
option is enabled that is resolved by this change.
This change enables MARC Overlay rules to be enabled for bulkmarkcimport.pl as using
the defer_marc option would previously effectively bypass any defined rules.
To test
1) Apply patch 29440 (which this depends on), but no not yet apply this
patch
2) Remove comments around "bulkmarcimport: _("bulkmarcimport.pl"),"
in koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/admin/marc-overlay-rules.tt
line 463
3) Enable MARC overlay rules and add a rule (with source => "*" or
'bulkmarcimport') to protect some field.
4) Import a biblio using the bulkmarcimport script. Overlay rules will
only be applied on updates so a match condition matching the
record in Koha when bulkmarcimport.pl is run the next time for the same
record needs to be supplied (for example -match "control-number,001")
5) Edit the imported biblio and change the value of the protected field
6) Run bulkmarcimport with the same parameters as in 4) and verify the
the field that should have been protected has been overwritten
7) Revert changes for line 463 in marc-overlay-rules.tt (or will result in
conflict applying the patch), apply the patch and repeat steps 4-5,
verify that the field now was protected from being overwritten.

Working on bug 31791, I found myself wondering if our current recursive
code in C4::Auth::haspermission() would allow checking AND on
subpermissions.
As it is not documented in the POD or tested, I decided to write some
unit tests for it.
It turned out it was well supported, so I decided to submit the tests,
and a small tweak in the POD to reflect that.
To test:
1. Apply this patch
2. Run:
$ ktd --shell
k$ prove t/db_dependent/Auth/haspermission.t
=> SUCCESS: Tests pass! The code supports AND on subpermissions!
3. Sign off :-D

Test plan:
Add an item to your database that has no barcode.
Run t/db_dependent/Circulation.t
It will fail without this patch, pass with this patch.

This patch changes CanBookBeRenewed so that automatic renewal
errors pop up before other renewal errors. This means that a book
will be considered "auto_too_soon" before things like "too_many" or
"restricted". (Otherwise, you'll get an email saying you can't renew
a book the day after using your last auto renewal, even though the
earliest renewal isn't available until later.)
Test plan:
0. Apply patch
1. prove t/db_dependent/Circulation.t
2. prove t/db_dependent/Holds.t
3. prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Account/Line.t
4. prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Account.t
Additional tests:
5. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?op=search&searchfield=RestrictionBlockRenewing
6. Change to "block"
7. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?tab=&op=search&searchfield=AutoRenewalNotices
8. Change to "according to patron messaging preferences"
9. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/admin/smart-rules.pl
10. Set "Automatic renewal" to "Yes" and "No renewal before" to 4
11. Go to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/circ/circulation.pl?borrowernumber=51
12. Checkout 39999000001310 with a due date 4 days in the future
13. Add a manual restriction
14. Run `perl ./misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl`
15. Note that it says something like the following:
Issue id: 1237 for borrower: 51 and item: 73 would not be renewed. (auto_too_soon)
Instead of something like the following:
Issue id: 1237 for borrower: 51 and item: 73 would not be renewed. (restriction)

We deal with that in the middleware, we don't want 403.pl to early exit.
If we notice that we actually need it (for other scripts), we could
eventually add a new flag to get_template_and_user to skip the CSRF check,
or build the template without using get_template_and_user for errors/*
scripts.

The easiest here is to not empty 'op' but instead redirect to an error
page.
Minor changes: to keep the patch simple it removed the 'dev only' error and
display the error for non-dev installs. It should not be a problem
anyway and will prevent errors to be hidden in the log.
We could make KOHA_ERROR an arrayref, but later (we don't need it now
anyway).
Note that the OPAC still not benefit from a friendly specific error for
invalid token.

GET svc/authentication will return a CSRF token in a response header
POST svc/authentication requires a CSRF token which can be sourced
from the response header of GET svc/authentication or some other
place like the meta element on a HTML page
Note: misc/migration_tools/koha-svc.pl is a simple script which
can be used to practically evaluate svc/authentication and svc/bib

Suggestion to move the CSRF check to CGI->new so that we will check it
for every request, and it will cover svc scripts as well (they are not
using get_template_and_user).
The token will be retrieve from the param list *or the csrf_token
header* (do we want to name it x-koha-csrf-token instead?).
This will be done for *every* request that are not GET: CSRF token is now
required everywhere CGI is used (side-effects possible?).

I *think* this change fixes a bug when starting the installer with an
expired session. I am no longer able to reproduce the problem however.
Just skip if it does not make sense.

If the cookie contain an expired sessionID we need to create another
one to correctly generate the CSRF token.

Hum this didn't make sense. We are not checking credentials after
checkauth.
This patch is suggesting to rename "userid" and "password" parameters
from login forms to "login_userid" and "login_password" to not interfere
with other parameters with the same name.
This looks quite correct, however I am seeing
"The form submission failed (Wrong CSRF token)."
in the log after a successful login. Which feels wrong, what's
happening?
