This patch adds a .perlcriticrc (copied from qa-test-tools) and fixes
almost all perlcrictic violations according to this .perlcriticrc
The remaining violations are silenced out by appending a '## no critic'
to the offending lines. They can still be seen by using the --force
option of perlcritic
This patch also modify t/00-testcritic.t to check all Perl files using
the new .perlcriticrc.
I'm not sure if this test script is still useful as it is now equivalent
to `perlcritic --quiet .` and it looks like it is much slower
(approximatively 5 times slower on my machine)
Test plan:
1. Run `perlcritic --quiet .` from the root directory. It should output
nothing
2. Run `perlcritic --quiet --force .`. It should output 7 errors (6
StringyEval, 1 BarewordFileHandles)
3. Run `TEST_QA=1 prove t/00-testcritic.t`
4. Read the patch. Check that all changes make sense and do not
introduce undesired behaviour

This patch is the main patch of this patchset, you will find the
description and the test plan.
The idea of this new enhancement is to add the ability to define the
default sort order and the default number of rows displayed on the
acquisition basket page.
The existing "columns settings" feature was replaced by a
"tables settings" feature. To prepare the ground, there were some
works that were needed:
* rename variables and files
* Modify the structure of the yml files
* Create a new DB table to store the tables settings
Test plan:
0)
a. Execute the update DB entry to create the new table
b. Restart all (to get a new version of the yml file, that is cached by
memcached)
c. Create several orders for a given basket
1) Go to the basket view page
=> The default values are the same than without this patchset, the
number of entries to display is set to "20" and the table is sorted by
basket number (first column)
2) Go to the "Columns settings" page
3) Unfold the "Acquisition" tab
=> Notice the 2 dropdown lists at the bottom of the basket table
4) Select different values for "Default display length" and "Default
sort order"
5) Refresh the basket view page
=> Notice that the default settings are now effective on the table
QA note: We can decide to replace the different occurrences of "Columns settings"
by "Tables settings" if needed.

We are preparing the ground with this patch. As the "Columns settings"
page will now add the ability to modify settings for the whole table, it
makes sense to rename the file and the variables.
Note that the controller script (admin/columns_settings.pl) and the yml
(admin/columns_settings.yml) files have not been moved to not break
shortcuts and abits people could have. But if QA decides, it could be
easy to do.

Test plan:

* set_waiting

Moving the useDaysMode system preference to a circulation rule will add
much more flexibility in the calculation of the due date.
The initial request was to make hourly loan returned on closed when
(when checked out on the same close day).
To do so we do not want to take into account the calendar.
However the calendar need to be taken into account for other loan item types.
Other scenarios are possible, for instance depending on the branch.
This patchset will add a new "Days mode" column (next to "Loan period")
to the circulation rules page, with the different values of the
"useDaysMode" system preference + a "default" value, to default to the
system preference value.
Test plan:
- Define a long loan item type (like 10 days) that will use the calendar
(or default to the pref value, if the pref is not set to "ignore the
calendar")
- and a hourly loan (like 2 hours) that will ignore the calendar
- Create items with those item types
- Mark today as a closed day
- Check the items out
=> The hourly loan is due the same day
=> The other loan is due on an open day
QA note:
There is the need to force the "days_mode" option when Koha::Calendar is
initiated for the due date calculation. To make sure devs will not
forget it, the methods that need have it defined will throw an
exception.

This is a companion/alternative to bug 25184, in that it allows an
explicit workflow for placing returned books into temporary storage for
a few days for decontamination purposes.
The idea here is to create a specific notforloan value for "In
Decontamination" or something along along those lines. This notforloan
value would never be trappable. At the end of decon,
UpdateNotForLoanStatusOnCheckin could be used to remove the
notforloan status and allow checkins to be trapped to fill holds.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Restart all the things!
3) Give an item a negative notforloan value
4) Place a hold on the item
5) Check the item in
6) Note the item is trapped for hold
7) Set SkipHoldTrapOnNotForLoanValue to the same notforloan value
you used in step 3

Automatic authority creation assumes that if we don't match we need a new authority.
Using the Default linker, however, we don't match if there exists more than one match.
This leads to repeatedly generating authorities once there is a duplicate in the system
We shoudl instead only create a new authority if there are no results

Bug 23934 removed the limitation that prevented item level holds from
getting local holds priority. The problem is the code has never checked

it can be either MarkIssueReturned or LostItem, depending on the
different cases we want to handle.
This patch picked MarkIssueReturned, but maybe the similar code in
AddReturn needs to be removed then.
== Test plan ==

2. Set AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions to 'Do'
3. Set up an overdues restriction in the notice triggers
4. Check out an item and let the overdues process restrict the account
5. Navigate to the moredetail.pl page (items tab) for the overdue item
6. Mark the item lost
7. Return to the account in question - notice the item has been returned, but the restriction remains
8. Clean state: remove restriction + remove item lost status

4. Check in one of the items from the record and print the slip
5. Note that the reserve ID on the slip is 2 and the expiration date is blank
6. Repeated check ins do not change this
7. Check in a second item from the record
8. Note that the reserve ID for this hold is also 2, but this time the expiration date is filled in
9. Check in the first item again - the reserve ID stays as 2, but this time the expiration date is filled in
10. Apply patch
11. cancel the holds to come back to a clean state
(and maybe ensure items aren't in transit)
12. redo the test and see the following differences
13. 1st checkin:

In an OO package, the logger initialization should happen in the

happening on loading it. This is a wrong behaviour and certainly breaks
in environments where initialization cannot happen (package building,

used in a single sub on this package, I opted for initializing on that

This patch makes use of the 'variables' parameter in XSLTParse4Display
method in the different places that it is used in the OPAC. It does by
passing this parameter with
anonymous_session => 1|0
The value will depend on the output from get_template_and_user (i.e. if
there's a returned borrowernumber).
A special case takes place in search results, as the call to
XSLTParse4Display happens in C4::Search::searchResults. So a new
parameter 'xslt_variables' is added to it.

It's entirely possible that some libraries are relying on the current
before for part of their workflow. Do to this possibility, it seems like
a good idea to control this behavior via a system preference.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch set
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set TrapHoldsOnOrder to "don't trap"
4) Set an item's notforloan value to -1
5) Place a hold on that item
6) Check in the item
7) Note the item is not trapped for hold
9) Set TrapHoldsOnOrder to "trap"
10) Check in the item
11) Koha should now ask if you'd like to trap the item for the hold!

Negative notforloan statuses should allow holds to be placed but not captured.
Due to coronavirus, we have libraries setting all returned materials to a negative notforloan value of Quarantine for several days.
They're using UpdateNotForLoanStatusOnCheckin to set that status automatically. However, those items are still capturing for holds,
even though those items cannot be checked out until the notforloan status is removed.
In cases like an On Order item where we do want the hold to fill at checkin,
UpdateNotForLoanStatusOnCheckin should be used to clear that notforloan status so the hold can fill.
In master, if I set an item to a not for loan but holdable status ( < 0 ) I can place the hold,
capture the hold and set it to waiting, but *not* check it out to the patron!
This does not make sense. I should not be able to trap an item for checkout unless it can be checked out.
Test Plan:
1) Set an item's notforloan value to -1
2) Place a hold on that item
3) Check in the item
4) Trap the item for that hold
5) Attempt to check the item out to the patron, you will be unable to
because it is notforloan
6) Apply this patch
7) Restart all the things!
8) Repeat steps 1-3
9) The screen should no longer ask if the item should be trapped
to fill the hold!

So far we only record the number of claims and the date of the last
claim, in the aqorders table.
To keep track of the different claim dates, this patchset is going to
make the following DB changes:
* Create a new table 'aqorders_claims' (id, ordernumber, claimed_on)
* Remove the two columns from the aqorders table: claims_count and
claimed_date
This will allow to display the different claim dates where needed: on
the late orders page, and the basket page.
To avoid additional fetches of Koha::Acquisition::Orders, GetLateOrders
has been moved to Koha::Acquisition::Orders->filter_by_late
That way we are going to add consistency, robustness, and cover the
feature with new tests.
Test plan:
0/ Create a bunch of new orders. Make sure they are from different
vendor (with different delivery time).
1/ Go to the late orders page and claim some orders
2/ Reclaim some of those orders
3/ Confirm that you can see the different claim dates for a given orders
(the history of the late orders claims is kept and displayed)
4/ Bonus point: Regression tests:
a. Modify the closedate of the basket in the database. That
will allow you to make sure the patch set did not introduce regressions.
It would be good to test the different filters on the late orders page:
* delay
* Estimated delivery date from/to
* Vendor
b. Confirm that the subtotal and the total values from the late orders
page is correct.
c. Test the update database entry: do not apply these patches, claims
some orders against master. Apply the patch, execute the update DB entry
then confirm that the number of claims is correct (note that the dates
will not as it is not possible to guess them).
QA note: the branchcode parameter has been removed from filter_by_late.
At first glance it seems that it was not used.

This patch builds on Bug 22318 to move the OpacMainUserBlock system
preference into the Koha news system, making it possible to have
language- and library-specific content.
To test you should have some content in the OpacMainUserBlock system
preference. Apply the patch and run the database update process.
- Go to the OPAC and confirm that the content which was previously in
the OpacMainUserBlock system preference now displays correctly where
it was before.
- In the staff client, go to Tools -> News and verify that the content
from OpacMainUserBlock is now stored in news items. There should be
one entry for each of the enabled translations in your system, for
instance 'opacmainuserblock_en', 'opacmainuserblock_fr-FR',
'opacmainuserblock_cs-CZ'
- Go to Administration -> System preferences and confirm that the
OpacMainUserBlock preference has been removed.

Even if a library allows returns of lost items, the SIP server returns the error message "Item lost, return not allowed" if the checkin was not ok for any reason other than it being withdrawn ( and withdrawn items not being returnable ).
The most clear example of this is that when a lost item is not checked out to a patron and is returned. SIP returns that message even though lost items *can* be returned. The actual problem being that the item was not checked out.
Test Plan:
1) Ensure you can return lost items
2) Mark an item as lost
3) Check it in via SIP

This is the same fix as on bug 14662, which fixed the behaviour in
cataloguing, but for the item form in acquisitions.
The code assumes that if a subfield is marked as mandatory, there
should be no empty entry in the pull downs.
This assumption is not correct, as it leads to the first entry of the
pull down being preselected if there is no default set. As the field
can never be 'unset', there will never be a 'required' warning.
Furthermore, it might be counterproductive to use mandatory fields,
as it might be easily forgotten to change the preselected value and
those mistakes will be hard to find.
Correct behaviour would be to preselect the empty value when there is
no default. This means on saving the item an error message is triggered
and the cataloger is forced to set the value.
To test:
- This is best tested with an ACQ framework, but default can be used
when no ACQ framework was created.
- In your MARC bibliographic framework:
- In 952 make itemtype, classification source and some other pull downs
like location or collection mandatory and set them to visibel if needed
- Create a new basket with 'items created while ordering'
- Add a new order, an existing record with 942$c set will work best
- Add items for your order line
- Verify that the first value of each pull down is preselected,
there is no way to trigger the 'required' error
- Apply patch
- Add a new order line
- Verify that classification source is preselected according to the
DefaultClassificationSource system preference (try unsetting it later)
- Verify all mandatory fields can be set to empty
- Verify that you can't save before correctly setting them
- Change your frameworks and set a default for itemtype (Ex: BK) and
another mandatory and non-mandatory field of your choice
- Add a new order line and item and verify the defaults are selected

This patch fix the missing xml prolog in translated
files, XML or TT.
Is fixed teaching C4::TTParse not to ignore <?..?> constructs,
then teaching xgettext.pl to ignore those strings. Net result is
that they are copied in the translated file.
To test:
1) Update & install your preferred language,
(cd misc/translator/; perl translate update xx-YY; perl translate install xx-YY )
2) Compare the first lines (head -2) of:
koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/en/xslt/compact.xsl
koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/en/modules/opac-opensearch.tt
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/xslt/plainMARC.xsl

koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/xx-YY/modules/opac-opensearch.tt
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/xx-YY/xslt/plainMARC.xsl
Check the missing prolog
3) Install this patch, repeat 1 and 2, now the prolog is present
on translated files.

<custom_patron_field field="DE" template="[% patron.dateexpiry %]" />
</login>

Adding an item to course reserves and trying to edit any values in a second step does not work. Values are not saved and the table shows all values as "Unchanged".
This patch set adds two new sets of columns to the course_items table.
The first set determines if the specified column should be swapped or
not. The was previously 'implied' by the column being set to undef which
has been the root problem with that way of knowing if a column should
swap or not.
The second set of new columns are for storing the item field values
while the item is on course reserve. Previously, the column values
were swapped between the items table and the course_items table,
which leaves ambiguity as to what each value is. Now, the original
columns *always* store the value when the item is on course reserve,
and the new storage columns store the original item value while the
item is on reserve, and are NULL when an item is *not* on reserve.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Add and edit course items, not the new checkboxes for enabling fields
3) Everything should function as before

this patch is going to add missing foreign key on the following columns:
* serial.biblionumber

Issue description:
- call to ModZebra was unconditional inside 'store' method for Koha::Item,
so it was after each item added, or deleted.
- ModZebra called with param biblionumber, so it is the same parameter
across calls for each items with same biblionumber, especially when we
adding/removing in a batch.
- with ElasticSearch enabled this makes even more significant load
and it is also progressively grows when more items already in DB
Solution:
- to add extra parameter 'skip_modzebra_update' and propagate it down to
'store' method call to prevent call of ModZebra,
- but to call ModZebra once after the whole batch loop in the upper layer
Test plan / how to replicate:
- make sure that you have in the admin settings "SearchEngine" set to
"Elasticsearch" and your ES is configured and working
( /cgi-bin/koha/admin/preferences.pl?op=search&searchfield=SearchEngine )
- select one of biblioitems without items
( /cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/additem.pl?biblionumber=XXX )
- press button "add multiple copies of this item",
- enter 200 items, start measuring time and submit the page/form...
On my test machine when adding 200 items 3 times in a row (so 600 in
total, but to show that time grows with every next batch gradually):
WHEN ElasticSearch DISABLED (only Zebra queue):
- 9s, 12s, 13s
WHEN ElasticSearch ENABLED:
- 1.3m, 3.2m, 4.8m
WITH PATCH WHEN ElasticSearch ENABLED:
- 10s, 13s, 15s
Same slowness (because also same call to ModZebra) happens when you try
to delete all items ("op=delallitems"). And same fix.

This patch ensures call numbers are properly split for layout types
other than 'BAR'.
Test plan:
1. Go to Label Creator and choose/create a Label Layout with "Choose
layout type: Biblio"
2. make sure you have at least "itemcallnumber" in Bibliographic data to
print/Data fields
3. check "Split call numbers" box and save the layout (ie testlayout)
4. create a label batch, using items that have a call number (ie
DC611.B848 H84 1997). LCC is used here, but you may try with Dewey as
well.
5. export selected batch using any template and the layout you created
in previous step to a PDF
6. Call numbers are splitted (as expected) in the resulting PDF file
7. edit the layout you created in the previous step (ie testlayout) and
change the "Choose layout type:" to either Biblio/Barcode (BIBBAR) or
Barcode/Biblio (BARBIB)
8. export the same batch using the same template and layout as before
9. Call numbers are NOT splitted at all
After patch is applied, call numbers splitting functions are applied
even in Biblio/Barcode (BIBBAR) or Barcode/Biblio (BARBIB) layout types.

In C4/Utils/DataTables/Members.pm, the SELECT statement that fetches
patron data from the database does not include borrowers.othernames
in the field list. As a consequence, when the output is in the form
of a DataTable, the Template Toolkit files that refer to .othernames
(such as the patron-title.inc include) won't display the information
from the 'Other name' input field if that field has been filled in.
This patch fixes that.
Test plan:
0) Have a few patrons with some data in the 'Other name' field.
1) Perform a generic search in Home > Patrons to ensure you will get
a DataTable with results.
2) Observe that the 'Name' column does not include 'Other name' info.
3) Apply the patch, and restart Plack if necessary.
4) Repeat your search: this time you should see the information from
the 'Other name' field, it will be next to the patron's First name
and within parentheses.

To make this work I moved the _get_sub_length function from
subscription-add.pl to C4/Serials.pm so that the subscription-renew.pl
script could also call it to store the sublength for the appropriate
field of the subscriptions database table.
Test plan:
1. Create a subscription and notice that there is a dropdown box for sub
length containing the values: issues, weeks, months
2. Renew the subscription and notice that there are 3 input text boxes:
'number of num', 'number of weeks' and 'number of months'
3. Input a 'Number of weeks' value of 2
4. Query the subscription database table and notice that the value of 2
has been stored in the weeklength field for the subscription record you
just renewed
5. Apply the patch
6. Renew the subscription and notice that there is now a sublength
dropdown box containing issues, weeks and months
7. Set the month value to 3
8. Query the database and notice that 3 was stored in the monthlength
field for the subscription record
9. Create a new subscription and select the sub length values of issues
and 3
10. Query the database and notice that the numberlength field for the
subscription you just created is set to 3 showing that the sublength
dropbox is still working for creating a new subscription

At the moment noItemTypeImages pref controls staff and OPAC
display. With this patch, there will be a separate OpacNoItemTypes
preference that allows to control display of each separately.
To test:
- Apply patch and run database update
In Administration:
- Search for 'noItemTypes' preferences
- Verify the settings of both prefs match
- Toggle prefs, verify everything works ok
- Go to the item types configuration page
- Try different settings for both prefs:
- Both set to No: Only a message with a link to the prefs should show
- Both set to Yes or either set to Yes: image configuration options
should show
In the OPAC:
- Check the following pages with item-level_itypes = record
- advanced search
- detail page
- place hold page
- Check the following pages with item-level_itypes = item
- result list
- a list (opac-shelves)
- checkouts and overdues tabs in patron account

In some tests we want to know if we are in a testing environment.
When run the usual way, our trick works, the perl interpreter matches 'prove':
$ENV{_} eq 'prove'
In other situations, we have the KOHA_NO_TABLE_LOCKS environment variables, for the SendCirculationAlert race conditions (see bug 15854 and bug 18364).
For unknown reasons, Jenkins runs the tests with /usr/bin/perl.
This patch suggests to rename KOHA_NO_TABLE_LOCKS and use KOHA_TESTING
instead, when prove is not used (or not correctly detected as it it the
case for Jenkins)

The svc/members/search script is called in different places.
In some places (Set owner for a fund, add users to a fund, or set a
manager to a suggestion), we need patrons to be filtered depending on
the permissions they have.
For instance you can only set a fund's owner with a patron that has
acquisition.order_manage.
Currently we have fetching X (default 20) patrons, then filter them
depending on their permission.
Says you have 3 patrons that have the correct permissions but are not in
the 20 first patrons, if you do not define a search term, the search
result will be empty.
This is not ideal and we should filter when requesting the DB.
Test plan:
- Have more than 20 patrons, remove them their permissions
- Create 3 more:
1 superlibrarian
1 with the full acq permission
1 with acquisition.order_manage
- Create a fund and set a owner
- Search for patrons, without specifying a search term (to get them all)
=> Without this patch the new patrons you created are not displayed
=> With this patch they are!
Same test plan apply to set a manager to a suggestion (freshly pushed,
see bug 23590), with suggestions and suggestions.suggestions_manage
Note: The code has been written that way to rely on
C4::Auth::haspermission, but the SQL query is quite trivial and the gain
is important.

In order to get the default value defined at DBMS level, we use
Koha::Reports (to inherit from Koha::Object->store) from the 2 add/edit
methods of C4::Reports::Guided.
A second step would be to remove completely those CRUD subroutines and
use directly Koha::Reports instead.

When "reserve/request.pl -> C4/Reserves.pm::IsAvailableForItemLevelRequest" called many times with hundred of items and "on shelf holds" parameter set to "If all unavailable" for these items + patron, it goes slow.
It happens because in subloop it is checking if all items available so it is O(n^2) and it re-checks each time the same info for each item with repeating DB/data requests.
Fix:
The inner loop 1:1 picked out into separate subroutine and called outside of the loop, saving data in 'items_any_available' variable once, this variable passed to IsAvailableForItemLevelRequest to be used inside as the precalculated result.
This made algorithm O(n) instead of O(n^2) so there is noticeable speed increase.
How to reproduce:
1) on freshly installed kohadevbox create/import one book,
remember that biblionumber for later use it in down below,
2) add 100 items for that book for some library,
3) find some patron, that patron's card number we will
use as a borrower down below to open holds page,
4) check for the rule or set up a single circulation rule
in admin "/cgi-bin/koha/admin/smart-rules.pl",
that rule should match above book items/library/patron,
check that rule to have a non-zero number of holds (total, daily, count) allowed,
and, IMPORTANT: set up "On shelf holds allowed" to "If all unavailable",
("item level holds" doesn't matter).
5) open "Home > Catalog > THAT_BOOK > Place a hold on THAT_BOOK" page
("holds" tab), and enter patron code in the search field,
or you can create a direct link by yourself, for example, in my case it was:
/cgi-bin/koha/reserve/request.pl?biblionumber=4&findborrower=23529000686353
6) it should be pretty long page generation time on old code, densely increasing for every hundred items added. In the case of this solution, it's fast, and time increases a little only, linear.
I tested on my computer in VirtualBox for page generation times,
did 3-5 runs for same case to check if results are stable, and got such values:
(old code):
100 items: 50 seconds
200 items: 3.2 minutes
300 items: 7.3 minutes
(version with fix):
100 items: 4.4 seconds
200 items: 7.5 seconds
300 items: 10.4 seconds

This is just refactoring. extracting logically independent code
to separate sub + tests update. No logic change yet.
Searching for "any_available" item among all biblionumber items was done
inside of "elsif on_shelf_holds == 2", and it is logically very independent
piece of code (this "@items" loop), it needs just biblionumber and patron
as parameters so it can be extracted into separate subroutine, and
later also called/reused from somewhere else.
This ability to call from another place also made for future patch
to remove O(n^2) problem with nested loops.

authoritative, we do no longer have the frameworkcode in this routine.
Formally, we should check the corresponding framework.
Note 2: Does this impact the reverse operation in TransformMarcToKoha?
No, the check on repeatable subfields is done in the interface and not
in TransformMarcToKoha. This routine simply translates two instances of the
same subfield, say A and B, into the value 'A | B' for a kohafield. Not
allowing two instances of a non-repeatable subfield is not in the scope of
this report.
Test plan:
[1] Mark an item field as repeatable in the Default framework.
Edit an item. Insert A|B in this field and another not-repeatable
field. Save and reopen. Verify that the repeatable field is duplicated
and the other one contains the pipe character in the text box.
[2] Look for a repeatable subfield in MARC like e.g. 260$c.
Go to the cataloguing editor and add A|B in this field.

This patchset moves all code to calculate the correct renewal branch into Koha::Item.pm
When interface is opac we follow the syspref, otherwise we use the current userenv, or pass through
a defined branch
To test:
1 - Check out an item to a patron
2 - Set allowed renewals in the circ rules to 100 (just so you can keep testing)
3 - Renew the item in staff interface, confirm it is recorded correctly in statistics table (as signed in branch)
4 - Renew via the opac, testing with each setting of OpacRenewalbranch

The GetBorrowerAttributes subroutine return the attributes for a given
patron.
Using get_extended_attributes we can acchieve it easily. The problematic
here is to restore the method's name (value vs attribute,
value_description vs description of the authorised value, as well as
display_checkout that should not be a method of Attribute, but
Attribute::Type instead)
value_description was used when the attribute types were attached to an
authorised value category. To avoid the necessary test in template and
controller there is now a $attribute->description method that will
display either the attribute's value OR the value of the authorised
value when needed. We should certainly use this one from few other
places.
Notes:
* This patch rename Koha::Patron->attributes with Koha::Patron->get_extended_attributes.
It will be renamed with Koha::Patron->extended_attributes in ones of the next
patches when it will become a setter as well.
* GetBorrowerAttributes did not care about the library limits, we still
do not
* The opac_only flag was not used outside of test, we drop it off.
* To maintain the existing behavior we add a default order-by clause to
the search method [code, attribute]
* From C4::Letters::_parseletter we always display the staff description
of the AV, There is now a FIXME to warn about it
* FIXMEs are not regressions, existing behaviors must be kept
* TODO add a new check to bug 21010 to search for inconsistencies in
patron's attributes attached to non-existent authorised values
* One test has been updated in Modifications.t, order_by is now
by default set to ['code', 'attribute']

This patch fixes an issue when editing items.
* The issue
Cannot blank a subfield when editing an item.
If you have an item with itemcallnumber=42, then edit it, blank it and
save. The itemcallnumber is still 42
* Why? (line numbers from https://gitlab.com/joubu/Koha/-/tree/bug_23463)
additem (and other item's edition forms) receives a list of tags,
subfields and values, generates a MARC::Record::XML then calls
ModItemFromMarc:
717 my $itemtosave=MARC::Record::new_from_xml($xml, 'UTF-8');
727 my $newitem = ModItemFromMarc($itemtosave, $biblionumber,
$itemnumber);
And ModItemFromMarc:
282 my $item = TransformMarcToKoha( $localitemmarc,
$frameworkcode, 'items' );
283 $item->{cn_source} = delete $item->{'items.cn_source'}; #
Because of C4::Biblio::_disambiguate
284 $item_object->set($item);
ModItemFromMarc never knows that the field has been blank.
Prior to bug 23463 we had a map of default values, and ModItemFromMarc
was doing:
426 my $item = TransformMarcToKoha( $localitemmarc,
$frameworkcode, 'items' );
427 my $default_values = _build_default_values_for_mod_marc();
428 foreach my $item_field ( keys %$default_values ) {
429 $item->{$item_field} = $default_values->{$item_field}
430 unless exists $item->{$item_field};
431 }
I do not want to reinsert that list of default values.
Here I wrote a generic method in Koha::Object to set the value passed in parameter,
or "blank" if not passed.
It's nulled if can be set to null in DB, or the default value is retrieved from
the schema info.

Currently when fixing priorities of existing holds, priorities aren't
fixed when checking out a middle priority hold because the hold has been
fulfilled and deleted. This patch adds a check for, if the hold can't be
found, an old hold with the required reserve_id.
To test:
1. Place at least four holds on a biblio for different borrowers
2. Check out an item to the 3rd priority borrower
3. Check the existing holds table for the biblio. The priorities might be
out of order, or try clicking the dropdowns and there might be an empty
dropdown option, or open the browser developer tools and notice the option
values in the select are missing value=3.
4. Apply patch and restart memcached
5. Check out an item to the 2nd priority borrower
6. Check the existing holds table for the biblio. Confirm the priorities
have been fixed and are now consecutive with no gaps.

Since bug 13897 we are using YAML file to store the installer data.
We are generating/executing 1 query per row, which is much more slower than before.
We should generate 1 query per table to get back to the previous execution time.

mysql -h db -u koha_kohadev -ppassword -e"CREATE DATABASE koha_kohadev";

installer/data/mysql/en/marcflavour/marc21/mandatory/authorities_normal_marc21.yml
installer/data/mysql/en/marcflavour/marc21/mandatory/marc21_framework_DEFAULT.yml
They are the number of seconds took to insert them
3/ checkout master
git checkout -B master origin/master # Will reset your master branch!
4/ Execute the previous commands but without the 'sql' parameter passed
to the benchmark script
mysql -h db -u koha_kohadev -ppassword -e"DROP DATABASE koha_kohadev";
mysql -h db -u koha_kohadev -ppassword -e"CREATE DATABASE koha_kohadev";

does not explicitly specify 'UTF-8' as the optional encoding to use.
This patch fixes that.
Test plan (in a MARC21 instance):
0) Stage for import the test record attached to this bug report (make
sure that 'Check for embedded item record data?' is set to 'Yes'),
then go to Home > Tools > Manage staged MARC records and click on
the filename you've just staged.
1) In the 'Citation' column, click on the hyperlink to launch the MARC
preview -- notice how it fails to produce any output apart from the
modal heading.
2) Apply the patch, and restart Plack if necessary.
3) Re-launch the MARC preview: this time the output should include the
whole record, including the embedded item data in field 952.
4) Run the unit tests to ensure nothing was broken inadvertently:

Bug 14407 introduced a new system preference to allow limiting the
online self checkout system to an IP or IP Range. The function that
handles this is called in_ipset, which is the name of a linux tool. To
stop confusion, this patch renames the function to 'in_iprange', and the
variable 'ipset' within it to 'iprange'.
To test, follow the test plans outlined in Bug 14407 and confirm that
everything works as expected.

There is some quite old and unused code in Koha related
to printer configuration and network printing. These code
hasn't been functional in a long time and should be removed.
This patch:
- Removes printcirculationslips system preference
- Removes table printers
- Removes branchprinter column from branches
Check that:
- Go to administration
- Open any age there, but change the last bit to: printers.pl
- Apply patch, run the database update
- Verify the hidden page no longer exists
- Verify that logging in and out still works correctly
- Verify that checkout and returns work correctly

This patch adds 3 features:
1) Display description of YAML files at install time
for frameworks, and fixes it's encoding.
2) Enable use of multiline values, field required
3) Process SQL statements declared in YAML files
With this features we can process files with the
following generic YAML strucure:
---
description:
- "File description"
tables:
- table_name:
translatable: [ title, content ]
multiline: [ content ]
rows:
- title: "Example title"
content:
- "Content:"
- ""
- "This is the content."
id: 1
value: ~
sql_statements:
- "UPDATE table_name SET value ='empty' WHERE value IS NULL"
...
* file description is now inside the YAML, can have multiple
lines.
This attribute is expected in all YAML files.
* translatable attribute in table declare fields that can be
translated
* multiline attribute in table declare fields that can have
multiple lines of content, they are joined using '\r\n'
before insert into database.
This is useful to express fields like 'news' content, and
to simplify it's translation.
'\r\n' is used for correct display in Windows clients.
* sql_statements allows to add multiple SQL sentences, not
insertions normally, that are executed in order.
This features are not needed for the example file of this patch,
but will be used in new bugs.
To test:
1) Use the same test plan of first patch.

This patch modifies C4/Installer.pm to add support
for loading YAML files into database.
As an example of the functionality, optional
auth_val.sql file is replaced by auth_val.yml
The rationale behind this feature is to enable the
translation of the data that is loaded into the
database. That will be addressed in another bug.
But taking into account that goal, translatable
values are declared in the YAML files, to ease
identification by translate script.
Also file description is moved into the yaml
file.
To test:
0) Do a clean install with all optional data,
then dump authorised_values table, reserve.
1) Apply the patch
2) Do a clean install in English (marc21/unimarc)
3) On optional data check for description of auth_val
"Some basic default authorised values for ..."
4) Select all optional data
5) Finish installation
6) Dump again authorised_values table and compare with that
of point '0'.
No differences should be found.

Bug 23051: (follow-up) Refactor renewal code
As per Nick's first point in comment #20, the code that tests for
renewability and renews items has been refactored into it's own
function.
Bug 23051: (follow-up) Provide feedback
For renewals that fail when a fine is being paid off, this patch causes
any errors to be passed back to the template for display.

Bug 23051: (follow-up) Fix/improve feedback
This follow up patch addresses the following parts of Nick's feedback in
comment #35:
- it would be nice to get feedback on what was successfully renewed as well
- In general I think I would prefer to see 'ok' and 'not_ok' returned as
a single 'renewal_results' array
- There is no listing of errors if I use the 'pay' button on an
individual fine
Bug 23051: (follow-up) Refactor methods
This follow up patch addresses the following parts of Nick's feedback in
comment #35:
- I don't really like that the functions are internal functions and then
exported
- I think the pref description should highlight that if 'RenewalPeriodBase'
is set to due date, there may be doubled charges
Bug 23051: (follow-up) Add SIP summary
This follow up patch addresses the following parts of Nick's feedback in
comment #35:
- Ideally SIP would get feedback in a screen message
Bug 23051: (follow-up) Renewing in OPAC
This follow up patch addresses the following parts of Nick's feedback in
comment #35:
- I am also not sure about the code path if a patron paid fines on the
opac (via paypal etc.) but renewals are not allowed on the opac.
We've introduced the syspref RenewAccruingItemInOpac (default is off)
which, when enabled, will cause items attached to fines that are paid

When the RenewAccruingItemWhenPaid syspref is enabled and all the fines
on an item that is accruing fines are paid, we automatically renew that
item to prevent it from starting to accrue fines again.
This patch adds an additional argument to C4::Circulation::AddRenewal
which allows us to skip the calculation of fines upon renewal, which we
don't want to do if the fines on that item have just been paid. Existing
calls to AddRenewal have not been amended because there seems to be a
convention of only passing undef when adding arguments that require
their positioning to be maintained. Since the new argument is the last
one, this is not the case with any existing call.

When wrapping long lines of text, the line is divided by removing each
word from the end of the line and putting it in a new one until the line
is the right width. When the word to be removed appears multiple time
in the line, it is not the last occurrence that is removed.
This patch changes the regular expression used to remove the part of
the text that is wrapped to a new line, making sure it removes it at
the end of the text.
Test plan:
1. Go to Tools > Patron card creator
2. Have a card template and a card batch
-> If needs be, you can create them by using
New > Card template or New > Card batch
3. Create a layout and use one text field containing a long text with
at least one word which is repeated a minimum of 2 times
(preferably towrdds the end of the text, since it has to be picked
as one of the words to appear in the new line). You can use this:
one two three one two three one two three one two three
one two three one two three one two three one two three ...
4. Go to Manage > Card batches and export a batch
5. Choose the layout set up in 3.
6. Click the Export button and open the resulting pdf file
7. Notice all the repeated word have been grouped
-> For this example : all of the ones appear first, followed by
all the twos and only then the threes.
8. Apply patch
9. Repeat step 4 through 7
=> this time the order of the words has not changed!

Adds the "Attributes" field to z3950 servers.
The feature here is not quite de same.
In the old patches, the attributes were applied to individual query parts if the part already contains "@attr" and the additionnal attribute is not already in the query part.
Here, the content of the new field is prepended to all PQF queries sent to the server.
This new way of doing is simpler and works for the sponsor.

II) Run updatedatabase.pl

Both when searching for and creating new authorities we need to remove
punctuation that exists in the bibliographic record but does not belong in
the authority record.
For example, a series with a volume contains a semicolon in the bib record,
however, this should not be passed to the authority as the volume is not
included in the authority record.
To test:
1 - Set AutoCreateAuthorities to 'generate'
2 - Set BiblioAddsAuthorities to 'true'
3 - Set CatalogModuleRelink to 'Do'
4 - Find or create a record with:
a 100 field with a subfield e preceded by a comma: 100 $aBoring, M. Eugene M ,$e author
an 830 field with a volume preceded by a semicolon: 650$aLord of the rings ;$v 3.
5 - Save the records and check the links
6 - Note punctuation is passed through
7 - Save again, auth records are created again
8 - Apply patch
9 - Save again, new auth records are created again
10 - Check the records, punctuation has been removed
11 - Save again, no more records created.

This makes the changes apply to both positive and negative notforloan values
The extra line generated before is removed
Some spans are added and cleaned up and labels moved to CSS to allow for easier altering where needed
Itemtypes marked notforloan remain as reference, the label can be changed via css
To test:
1 - Have a record with items in various statuses, ideally
- 3 available, with 2 in one branch, 1 in another
- 3 with itemtype not for loan, 2 in one branch, 1 in another
- 3 in a positive not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
- 3 in a negative not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
- 1 in a different positive loan status, but with the same opac description as the negative above
2 - Search the opac to include this record, take a screenshot
3 - Apply patch
4 - Restart all and refresh
5 - Compare to screen shot
6 - Differences include:
- Positive statuses are now on separate line with opac description showing
- Unavailable (not for loan items) now include callnumber and branch in display
- Positive and negative notforloan with same description are combined where branches match
- Inspect the elements, note new spans around 'Items available for
loan/reference'
7 - Add to OPACUserCSS:
.ItemSummary .ItemBranch{
display:none;

We certainly faced 3 similar bugs due to this syntax: bug 23006, bug
22941 and bug 17526.
To prevent other issues related to this syntax this patch suggests to
replace them all in one go.
Test plan:
Confirm that the 2 syntaxes are similar
Eyeball the patch and confirm that there is no typo!

Currently, an OAI-PMH set mapping will only match if the value it
is looking for occurs in the first instance of a repeated field.
To test:
- Apply the first patch with two new tests
- Run something like this:
sudo koha-shell -c "prove -v t/db_dependent/OAI/Sets.t" kohadev
- Verify that the last test fails
- Apply this secind patch
- Rerun the test file above
- Verify that all tests now pass

This patch updates the wording in the 'lost and found' process to more
closely reflect what the process is achieving by replacing 'RETURNED'
with 'FOUND'
Test plan:
1) Grep codebase for _FixAccountForLostAndReturned and note there are no
longer any instanced of it.
2) Run t/db_dependent/Circulation.t and note it passes
3) Test returning/renewing an item that has been marked as lost and note
the updated values in the accountlines now use LOST_FOUND as
credit_type_code and 'FOUND' as the status for the 'LOST' fee
(debit_type_code 'LOST')

This patchset adds support for extracting 'max_ver' from the cpanfile so
we can use version ranges properly and report errors if we have modules
installed that do not fit within that version range.
Test plan:
1) Manually modify the module version of a required module in the cpanfile
to have a max version greater than the version you have installed.
2) Run through the install proceedure and note the new warning that a
module needs upgrade for the module in question.
3) The module should also be reported in the about page

cpanfile is a format for describing CPAN dependencies for Perl
applications.
It is more concise - thus easier to read and maintain - than
C4::Installer::PerlDependencies, and allows to describe requirements
more accurately (using version ranges or features for instance)
Additionally it can be read by tools such as cpanm or carton for an
easy way to install dependencies on non-Debian-based systems.
For more information on cpanfile, see
http://search.cpan.org/~miyagawa/Module-CPANfile-1.1002/lib/cpanfile.pod
This patch replace C4::Installer::PerlDependencies by an equivalent
cpanfile and update all scripts/modules that were using PerlDependencies
It also removes dead code from C4::Installer::PerlModules (some
subroutines were not used at all, except in unit tests)
Added dependencies:
- Module::CPANfile
- CPAN::Meta (dependency of Module::CPANfile, but we need a more recent
version than the one Module::CPANfile requires)
Test plan:
1. Go to About page, tab Perl modules and keep this browser tab open
2. Apply patch
3. Install Module::CPANfile and CPAN::Meta
a. On Debian-based systems:
# will install libcpan-meta-perl as a dependency
sudo apt install libmodule-cpanfile-perl
b. Others:
# will install CPAN::Meta as a dependency
sudo cpanm Module::CPANfile
4. In a new browser tab, go to About page, tab Perl modules and compare
the table with the one in the previous browser tab
They should be identical, except for newly added dependencies
(Module::CPANfile and CPAN::Meta)
5. Do a 'standard' install
a. perl Makefile.PL (select 'standard')
b. make
c. sudo make install
d. Configure your database, web server, ... and go through the web
install process
6. Verify that the cpanfile got copied into PERL_MODULE_DIR (which
should be /usr/share/koha/lib)
7. Go to the about page of this fresh install and compare it with your
dev install
8. Verify that debian/list-deps still works
This takes a lot of time and it may not be necessary to wait until
the end. If you see some Debian package names that correspond to
modules in cpanfile, it means it still works
(you need apt-file for this script to work)
9. Verify that koha_perl_deps.pl still works
10. prove t/Installer_pm.t t/Installer_PerlModules.t

There is something wrong between the logic in Koha::Cache->new and our
dependencies.
We are having Cache::Memcached required, but
Cache::Memcached::Fast::Safe is optional.
However, in Koha::Cache->new we are initializing the Memcached cache
only if Cache::Memcached::Fast::Safe is installed.
We could fix the logic in Koha::Cache, but it seems better to make
Cache::Memcached::Fast::Safe mandatory (especially after bug 13193).
Note that after bug 13193, you are loosing the Memcached cache, as
Cache::Memcached::Fast::Safe will not get installed by default.

This fix permits to add an "Important" option to the marc structure pages.
Testing:
1) Apply the patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Regenerate CSS
4) Define 100 as an "important" field ( Administration » MARC bibliographic framework » MARC structure ( Default Frameword) » Edit )
5) Define 100$a as an "important" subfield (Administration » MARC bibliographic framework » MARC structure (Default Frameword) » Subfield » Onglet a)
6) Edit a record to clear the field 100 (subfields are all blank)
7) Save the record.
8) Validate the following message:
A few important fields are not filled:
* tag 100 subfield a Nom de personne in tab
* Field 100 is important, at least one of its subfields should be filled.
Are you sure you want to save?

The number of parameters of AddReserve makes it hard to read and
maintain.
This patch replace it with a hashref, which will make the calls more
readable.
Moreover the bibitems has been removed as it was not used by the
subroutine.
Test plan:
- Make sure the tests pass
- Read the diff and search for typos
- Place a hold on few items
Note for QA: reservation_date and expiration_date do not match the DB column's names,
should we?

It adds Javascript equivalent of Koha::I18N's exported subroutines, and
they are used the same way.
String extraction is done only on *.js files and require gettext 0.19
(available in Debian jessie, and also in wheezy-backports)
It adds Javascript library Gettext.js for handling translation and a
Perl script po2json to transform PO file into JSON.
Gettext.js and po2json both come from Locale::Simple.
There are several tools named po2json. It's simpler to integrate this
one into Koha than to check if the good one is installed on the system.
Locale::Simple is not needed.
To avoid polluting the global namespace too much, this patch also
introduce a global JS object named Koha and add some stuff in Koha.i18n
Test plan:
1. Add a translatable string in a JS file. For example, add this:
alert(__nx("There is one item", "There are {count} items", 3,
{count: 3}));
to staff-global.js
2. cd misc/translator && ./translate update fr-FR
3. Open misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages-js.po, verify that your
string is present, and translate it
4. cd misc/translator && ./translate install fr-FR
5. (Optional) Verify that
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/fr-FR/js/locale_data.js exists and
contains your translation
6. Open your browser on the staff main page, change language and verify
that the message is translated
7. Repeat 1-6 on OPAC side

Test plan:
Check the tab order of the item block on additem.pl (item editor),
Acquisition (neworderempty or addiso2709), serials-edit.pl.
You could also check services/itemrecorddisplay.pl and pass a
biblionumber; this script is used in additem.js for cataloguing and
acquisition.
