batches, it is now possible to 'clean' a batch by
removing all bib and item records staged in the batch. This
has the effect of helping to reduce database space used
by old import batches as well as removing staged records
from the cataloging reservoir search. Note that 'cleaning'
a batch affects only the copies of the records that were staged;
if the batch was committed, cleaning the batch does not
affect any bibs and items that were committed into the catalog.
Also note that once you clean a committed batch of records, it is
impossible to undo the previous commit operation.

This enhances the web installer so that messages from updatedatabase.pl will
be displayed to the user running a database update. Messages printed to STDOUT
will be displayed as the update report, while messages printed to STDERR will
be displayed as update errors.
This patch introduces a new module dependency, IPC::Cmd.
IPC::Cmd lets one run an external program such as updatedatabase.pl and easily
capture STDERR and STDOUT for further munging. IPC::Cmd is core in Perl 5.10
and stable in Perl 5.8.

Addendum to bug 3466. opac-shelves.tmpl contained the same xhtml error as shelves.tmpl, if the user is viewing the public list a orphaned table row (<tr>) is present.

This is a small tool for quickly printing spine labels using dedicated label printers.
It is located in the Tools page as Quick Spine Label Creator.
The system preference SpineLabelFormat defines which fields will be displayed.
The pref SpineLabelAutoPrint will make the print dialog pop up automatically.
The CSS file spinelabel.css controls all presentation for the labels.

If a user views suggestions of another user, syspref (OPACViewOthersSuggestions), a selection check box for deletion appeared next to all of the suggested titles whether the logged-in user owned them or not. - fixed

Reimplemented using jquery, added OSS plugin to both interfaces. This is
another case where having a /common directory used by both OPAC and STAFF
would increase runtime efficiency and cut development time.
Removed unused variables.
I changed the OPAC .term color to match the staff interface, rather than being a
second shade of blue. The highlight/unhighlight link is currently a bit bolder
than its neighbors, but my styling choices are provisional. I expect the final
tweaking of CSS to come from another more capable designer, like Owen.
Note this patch may rely on previously submitted "Search.pm minor cleanup" patch.

The issue descriptor was not being escaped before being passed on to the
routing slip, causing truncation. It's truly impossible to know for sure
what will be there, so uri_escape-ing seemed the best way to ensure that
it gets handed forward and makes it all the way to the printable slip.

Changed the logic in the html form to have the login prompt only appear if a user is not logged in. Separated the hidemylist functionality from the "show tags from other users" option. Created a link for "hide my tags" or "show my tags" depending on context.
The user can now choose how many tags of other users to show, and can also choose whether to show their own tags or not.

Only one select can be selected in this case. If preselection of search type is
desired, I recommend a clean implementation w/ jquery instead of adding a conditional
for each select. Please note, that is the only good way to get multiple preselections,
since the same .inc file will be used in each case. So a single variable like
<TMPL_IF NAME="index_bc_selected">
cannot be used, since it would set for ALL (3) advanced search dropdowns.

The only reason the TMPL_VAR works where it does is because it is part
of the TMPL_LOOP. It doesn't mean anything outside the loops, since
*everything* would be selected with the same variable, indiscriminantly.

Adds the author and added author fields to the email that is sent from the shopping cart. This makes the data sent via email consistent with the data that is viewed in the basket.
There is still a problem with author authority records other than 100 tags appearing correctly in the shopping cart.

Adding a new item should pre-select the library you are logged in at, where possible.
Use GetBranchesLoop. This solves indy branches filtering, and sort order problems.
Set default off of ->{selected}, to establish pre-selected branch.
Fix flags check in onlymine sub, so superlibrarian + other flags still gets everything.
Removed defined(@array) check, since perl -wc warns it is deprecated.

Code cannot rely on issueinformation being populated.
Note there is room for better efficiency to have AddReturn also provide the
itemnumber (where existing) so that GetItemnumberFromBarcode is not called
at both levels. Unfortunately there is discrepancy between this idea (for
efficiency) and the stated purpose of the $iteminformation object returned,
since $iteminformation is specifically the info from the issues table and
MUST be empty when the item was not in fact issued.

Delivered range was 10 years ago to yesterday; changed default
to be two days ago to today. Also removed notes field from report
output; 5xx fields can be quite large and including them in the
display resulted in a very lengthy printout for staff.

Empty nodes must be generated in the XML for MARC21slim2OPACResults - typeOf008 and MARC21slim2OPACResults - materialTypeCode when the fields in the Marc record do not exist. This patch fixes the "Type: " label. More testing needs to be done to see if any other labels appear in the Opac if the data is not defined in the MARC record.

Fixed useless redirect statements that weren't even printed.

Removed sth->finish. Use get instead of post on "cancel" button (no data to post).
Reduce duplicative variables (e.g. scriptname and script_name).
Many other problems are still in the scripts, including use of META-REFRESH instead of
redirect, and the whole idea of redirecting back to the same page for no valid reason.
We should be able to formulate the right response on THIS pass, not ask the browser to start over.

This is available only on the masthead search box in the OPAC.
User has to enter a word in english and press space or return to transliterate the word. The destination language can be selected from a drop down list. User can temporarily turn on/off the feature by using "ctrl +g".
A system preference - GoogleIndicTransliteration can be used to turn on this feature.

selectbranchprinter now posts to itself to set the branch. That also means that
other pages can set the branch by linking to selectbranchprinter like:
/cgi-bin/koha/circ/selectbranchprinter.pl?branch=MAIN
We use HTTP_REFERER to allow the user to continue back to wherever they linked from,
defaulting to circulation.pl (the former POST target).
Note that all "branchprinter" functions are basically useless as the data is not
properly handled in the session storage. Chris C. expects this to be addressed
with later patches for HLT. There appear to be no 3.0 users of this intended
functionality yet.
Includes squashed patch to fix tmpl and to automatically redirect if there are no
POST params to be recycled.

Use GetBranchesLoop and warnings. Remove unused code. Moved the Get's to after auth.
I begin to show how this script will use referer to redirect back to the sending
page upon successful change of branch or printer (see hidden div and recycle_loop).
Indicator for singleBranchMode added.
Also added another helper function for GetBranchesLoop, namely mybranch. This
encapsulates the logic for finding an intelligent default selection, which is
almost always desirable.
This does not resolve bug 2426, but is work in that direction.

80% of the javascript was junk.
Bad check failed on non-existant field borrowers.select_city.
Enabled warnings. Reduced "StringSearch" to 3 lines, removed unused args and vars.
Fixed row highlighting and removed "toggle" code. Etc.

Found this bug when playing with AutomaticItemReturn. The "Forgive overdue charges" and "Dropbox mode" would lose their value the item was transfered (if automatic transfer was off), caught a hold, or caught a hold at another location.
This patch does not completely do away with the problem. If an item is checked-in in simple mode, then one of the forms mentioned above opens, then the user checks one of the selection boxes, the value is not retained. Javasript would have to be added to transfer the value to the confirmation form when the checkbox is clicked.
This patch also cleans up a few minor XHTML errors.

This effectively ends the patron session and logs them out so the next patron can begin.
The purpose is for patrons to avoid having to use a keyboard at all, if libraries
print and have this special barcode available for patrons at the SCO station.

Holiday exceptions only make since for repeatable holidays. Javascript showHoliday function was looking for a 'showTitle' id that no longer existed in the showHolidau form. Added a hidden input field because of the possibility of re-adding the title text input field at a later time.
Added code to determine whether a holiday as an exception or not, so that the "Delete this program" radio button changes to "Delete this exception" because that is the program's true functionality if the holiday is an exception.

Added javascript and if/else logic to the addbiblio.tmpl and a corresponding anchor tag in CSS.
If advancedMARCeditor is on, the user now clicks on the tag number to expand the marc fields.
If advancedMARCeditor is off, no functionality has changed. The user clicks on the marc tag's title to expand the marc fields.

Essentially, this patch provides the option to overwrite only matching
Extended Attributes, instead of all of them, treating the ext. fields more
like normal fields.
Several functions added to Members::Attributes with corresponding tests.

This patch adds a select box to the new holiday form that allows the user to copy the holiday to all branches. If a holiday for a particular location already exists for a location, that holiday and location is not changed.

Added code to detect if the syspref for item-level_itypes is being used. The report now correctly returns data based on the syspref. There are some pre-existing XML errors with the FORM view of catalogue_stats.pl. I'll send a subsequent patch to deal with these.

Removed unused variables. Replaced EXPR.
Inserted hidden span to correct tablesorter behavior on title field. Without this patch
because of the link href in the cell, the sort would end up being effectively on
biblionumber, not title.

This patch modify the database to have a grace period which can be set. And is used to create automatically new waited issues with a
cronjob(which is in this patch), and set old issues to "late" status.

The display and editing of messaging preferences
for a patron have been moved as follows:
* the prefs for a patron are now displayed on the
patron details tab, not the messaging tab.
* the prefs are now modified by editing the patron
record, not on the messaging tab.
The messaging tab now contains only the list of
messages that have been or will be sent to the patron.
When creating a new patron record, changing the patron
category via the category dropdown now also changes
the default messaging preferences for that patron. If
you start editing a new patron, change one of the messaging
preferences, then change the patron category, the form will
ask you if you want to keep the preferences or get
the defaults belonging to the new patron category.
Note that when you edit an existing patron record, changing
the patron category will *not* cause the messaging preferences
to be automatically changed.
Programmer's note: this commit introduces a new web service,
members/default_messagingprefs.pl, that uses Jesse Weaver's
C4::Service module.

Add the ability to set the default circulation messages preferences
for a patron category. When the EnhancedMessagingPreferences
syspref is ON, the administrator will be able to define
default patron messaging preferences for a patron category. When
a new patron record is created (either manually or via a patron
import), the new patron's preferences will be copied from the default
for that patron's category.

Because of the way that HTML::Template::Pro evaluates
expressions, any variable referred to in a TMPL_IF EXPR
must be be present when the template is parsed, otherwise
you get Apache error log warnings like this:
non-initialized variable new_subfield
For a simple flag check, TMPL_IF NAME="new_subfield" is sufficient.

Improves Koha's unAPI support as follows:
* The implementation no longer depends on there being
an accessible Zebra or SRW server. Instead, responses
are created by running the bib MARCXML through local
stylesheets.
* unAPI now works for all bibs, not just ones that have
an ISBN. The ID format is changed from koha:isbn:ISBN
to koha:biblionumber:BIBNUM.
* unAPI now correctly advertises the formats it supports.
* This implementation now passes validation testing at
http://validator.unapi.info/ .
* MODS3 support now works correctly. As a consequence, this
patch fixes bug 2432 (Zotero support when using the XSLT
OPAC stylesheets).
TODO: as additonal XSLT stylesheets are created to convert
UNIMARC bibs to additional formats, the stylesheet map
in opac/unapi should be updated.

Eliminated bug with date handling outputting an English string.
Row striping added. Highlight for "my branch" row added.
GetBranchesLoop used instead of recreating data structure, so we get the
benefit of branches being sorted (by display name).

Removed opac/opac-dictionary.pl and catalogue/dictionary.pl,
which were not in use and not linked to from any active
template files. According to Henri, the functionality that
these scripts implemented hasn't been working since 2.2.
Also removed C4::Search::findseealso(), which was used
only by the two scripts.

If a user adds or edits a holiday, the calendar will now return to the month in which the user was working. Also after an add or an edit, if the user selects another location, the calendar remains in the same month for which the add or edit took place. The user sees a 'calendardate' parameter in the URL in the format that is chosen as the system preference. If an invalid date is entered in the url, the current date is used.

Fixed XHTML error that was introduced in the first patch. Added zebra striping to the tables. Removed an erroneous line with a date experiment that had no affect on the dates.

This patch adds displays for holidays. A table for each type of holiday. It could be improved by adding a link for a holiday listed in one of the tables to the edit panel. The date formats could also be changed.

Changed the plugin so that the form for editing the MARC21
leader now sets postion 9 (character coding) to 'a' (UCS/Unicode)
and no longer gives the cataloger the option to change it. Koha
uses UTF-8 exclusively for MARC records, and a number of bugs
can be triggered by storing MARC21 bib and authority record
whose Leader/09 is anything other than 'a'. Since internal
routines are increasingly ensuring that the MARC21 Leader/09 is
set to 'a', it doesn't make sense to give catalogers the idea
that it's possible (or a good idea) to set the Leader/09 to any
other value.

Note that as a result of this patch, not only will the
page use valid XHTML, but the intranet stylesheets are
now used, IMO improving the display of the form.
This patch also fixes the descriptions of the Leader/09
and Leader/17.

With those stylesheets result and detail pages
render better UNIMARC biblio record than normal
views. But works still have to be done in order
to reach UNIMARC-ISBD compliant display.

Multiple series now display along with other detailed bibliographic information. Series title is displayed along with volume information. The template no longer displays information from biblioitems like volume and volumedesc in favor of information pulled directly from the MARC record.

If the syspref RequestOnOpac is turned off, the link to place a hold does not
show in the detail page. However, the link is still present in the results
list as well as in the basket and in lists. Modified templates to check
for the syspref and to obey it.
NOTE: This does not turn off the display of the Holds tab in the OPAC
user account. I think there are situations where library staff may be
allowed to place holds but users are not allowed to do so through the
OPAC. Leaving the Holds tab visible shows users what they have on hold,
but does not allow them to place holds. It does allow users to cancel
holds. If there is a need to hide this tab, that would probably be
best accomplished by a separate syspref.
