These 2 system preferences are missing from the sysprefs.sql file.
Test plan:
Execute the updatedatabase script and confirm that the 2 prefs are now
in the systempreferences table.
Search for "sms" in the system preferences search box, you should see
the 3 prefs.

Some libraries would like to be able to add arbitrary fields to both the
RIS and BibTeX citation formats that a record can be saved as from the
staff intranet and public catalog. In addition, they would like to be
able to override the default record type and use Koha's itemtype as the
record type for those formats as well.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Add the following to the new syspref RisExportAdditionalFields:
TY: 942$c
LC: 010$a
NT: [501$a, 505$g]
4) Find or create a record with an 010$a (lccn) field, a 501$a field,
a 942$c field, and multiple 505$g fields.
5) Locate the record in the catalog, choose "Save" and select RIS
6) Inspect the downloaded file, note the replaced TY field, the LC
field, and multiple NT fields
7) Add the following to the new syspref BibtexExportAdditionalFields:
'@': 942$c
lccn: 010$a
notes: [501$a, 505$g]
9) Using the previously selected record, choose "Save" and select BIBTEX
10) Inspect the downloaded file, note the lccn, the multiple note
fields, and the new record type value

This patch adds a system preference "UseWYSIWYGinSystemPreferences" to the Staff Client tab.
By default, it is off, which means that the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor won't be shown for system
preferences with a type of "htmlarea".
However, when it's on, it will show the editor for "Local Use" preferences with a "htmlarea"
type, and for other system preferences in the "Opac", "Circulation", and "Staff Client" tabs,
which I have re-assigned. (Basically, I grepped for HTML and changed the type for all
the system preferences I found except for "IntranetNav", "OpacCustomSearch", and "OPACSearchForTitleIn",
as a WYSIWYG editor would potentially break the output for these system preferences or
add no value to them...)
_TEST PLAN_
0) Run `perl installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl` after setting your environmental variables
1) Check the Opac tab to make sure that the WYSIWYG is nowhere to be seen
2) Change the "UseWYSIWYGinSystemPreferences" preference in "Staff Client" to "Show"
3) Refresh the Opac tab and notice that many system preferences now have a WYSIWYG editor
4) Try typing some text into these fields
5) Note that it gets marked as "modified"
6) Save the preference, and refresh the page
7) Note that the content has been saved
8) Take a look at how it's rendered on the actual webpage!

New cataloging plugin upload.pl and new system preference 'uploadPath'.
upload.pl provide a way to upload files on the server and store a link
(url) to it in MARC
uploadPath is the absolute path on the server where the files will be
stored. It's possible to have a hierarchy of directories under this path
and the plugin will allow to choose in which directory to store the
file.
Stored value in MARC subfield looks like this:
<OPACBaseURL>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-retrieve-file.pl?id=<SHA-1 of the file>
So both 'uploadPath' and 'OPACBaseURL' sysprefs have to be set for this
plugin to work correctly

Slightly amended/simplified the patch during QA: The changes to
GetMarcUrls are not really needed, and would have needed some
attention. Another link text can be supplied by the plugin too.
This also reduces the need for changes in basket.pl,

2) Run updatedatabase

NOTE: I had to cpan2deb Template::Plugin::Stash to test.
This is not optimal. Additionally:

does not contain Stash. I suspect this was how it was

Mubassir Ahsan asked on the Koha mailing list:
Is there any option to set Saturday as the first day of
the week? Please help me.
CalendarFirstDayOfWeek is currently either Sunday|Monday.
By converting it to 0|1|2|3|4|5|6
(Sunday, Monday, ..., Saturday), we can allow any day of the
week to be the first day of the week in the date picker.
TEST PLAN
---------
1) Backup DB
2) In mysql:
> DELETE FROM systempreferences;
> SOURCE .../installer/data/mysql/sysprefs.sql
> SELECT variable,value FROM systempreferences;
-- It should say 'CalendarFirstDayOfWeek' and '0'
May say '1' if you are using Norwegian.
3) Restore your DB
4) .../installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
-- If your previous value for 'CalendarFirstDayOfWeek' was
'Sunday', it should be '0'. For 'Monday', it should be '1'.
5) Test an installation with 'de-DE' as the language.
-- The default value should be '1'.
6) Test an installation with 'nb-NO' as the language.
-- The default value should be '1'.
7) In the staff client, confirm that any day of the week is
available in the I18N/L10N system preferences for the
CalendarFirstDayOfWeek dropdown.
-- I'm aware they aren't in order, but I'm after
functionality, not finesse.
8) In another tab, go to a staff place that has a datepicker.
For example, Home -> Tools -> Inventory/stocktaking
9) For each possible value in the CalendarFirstDayOfWeek,
go to the other tab, refresh the page after updating the
system preference, and click the datepicker icon.
-- The date picker should then start on the selected
day of the week.
10) Log into OPAC
-- This may require setting: opacuserlogin to 'Allow'.
11) Click the personal details tab on the left.
12) There is a date picker for the date of birth.
-- The date picker should then start on the selected
day of the week.
13) Run koha QA test tools.
NOTE: not an atomic update, since this is an old patch.

This patch allows Koha OAI repository to support deleted records.
The OAI-PMH:DeletedRecord syspref is introduced and can be set to:
- persistent (in case Koha's deletedbiblio table will never be emptied
or truncated)
- transient (in case Koha's deletedbiblio table might be emptied or
truncated at some point)
Test plan:
- After applying the patch, test that:
- Deleted records appear in ListRecords and ListIdentifiers requests.
- Filter parameters (from, until, set and resumptionToken) still work
and are applied to ListRecords and ListIdentifiers requests.
- Identify request shows if the repository is considered persistent
or transient, according to the OAI-PMH:DeletedRecord syspref.
- Deleted records that used to belong to a set are still displayed in
those sets and marked as deleted.
- GetRecord requests work on deleted records, which are marked as deleted.
Requests examples:
/cgi-bin/koha/oai.pl?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=oai_dc

This patch removes HomeOrHoldingBranchReturn syspref and makes circ/returns.pl respect branch
circulation rules from C4::Circulation::GetBranchItemRule. Also transfer slip notice should reflect this.
Default should always be to return item to home branch.

First, it is strongly recommended to set the OPACBaseURL. But
this patch allows the inclusion of the protocol and not just
a site.
Next, C4/Auth now puts OPACBaseURL into the template parameters
regardless of OPAC or Staff clients. t/db_dependent/Auth.t was
tweaked to add a check for confirming that get_template_and_user
adds OPACBaseURL to both OPAC and Staff templates.
In the staff client, once the OPACBaseURL is set, you get a nice
OPAC View link when viewing a biblio's detail. It should reflect
the protocol used now.
Hard coded 'http://' strings were removed from the
sample_notices.sql files. This is what required also updating
the letters table in the updatedatabase.pl script.
The explanation text in the sysprefs.sql needed updating too to
reflect the inclusion of the protocol. And this was the other
update done in the updatedatabase.pl script. The opac.pref file
was similarly changed as well.
catalogue/detail.pl had no need to pass a custom OpacUrl value,
since C4/Auth passes the required OPACBaseURL, so it and the
corresponding template were modified.
Both the MARC21 and NORMARC intranet details files had 'http://'
hard coded in them. This was removed.
Both the bootstrap and prog theme opac-detail template had a
protocol parameter that was used. The logic for the parameter
was not removed, because it is used extensively in one template.
Perhaps it should be used to simplify the other. However, the
calculated current_url parameter had references to the protocol
removed, because of the changes to OPACBaseURL.
opac/opac-shareshelf.pl had a hard coded 'http://' which was
removed.
t/db_dependent/Auth_with_cas.t had 'http://' added to the value
set for OPACBaseURL.
In virtualshelves/sendshelf.pl explicit code which sent the
OPACBaseURL preference was removed, since C4/Auth sends it all
the time now.
C4::Context::set_preference was tweaked to ensure that
OPACBaseURL would always start with http.
t/db_dependent/Context.t was tweaked to specifically test this.
The Shibboleth authentication needs OPACBaseURL set, and that
it be https protocol. The _get_uri routine was tweaked to always
pass back https:// as the protocol on the OPACBaseURL.
t/Auth_with_shibboleth.t was tweaked to specifically test the
changes.

The pref AddPatronLists does not work as expected if 'generic' is
selected.
Indeed a patron should be linked to a valid patron category (see the
constraint borrowers_ibfk_1 in the DB structure).
Test plan:
0/ Confirm that the AddPatronLists does not work as expected if you choose
the generic patron types.
1/ Delete all you patron categories and check that the interface invites

This proposed followup adds a 'Coce' syspref so it is consistent with
the rest of the enhanced content providers sysprefs (also, there's no
point making the user delete its configuration if disabling his Coce
integration for testing purposes, for example).
It also changes the CoceProviders syspref so it is a 'multiple' type
syspref. It puts some sensible descriptions to the options too.
Feel free to discuss this followup, it is just an idea!

- OK for the 'Coce' syspref: it's sensible to distinct configuration
from enabling/disbaling the service.
- OK also for the multichoices systempreference. If a new service
popup, it won't be difficult to amend the .pref file.
Add to Koha support for displaying Book cover requested to Coce, a
remote image URL cache:
https://github.com/fredericd/coce
With this enhancement, cover images are not fetched directly from
Amazon, Google, and so on. Their URL are requested via a web service to
Coce which manages a cache of URLs.
Three cover image providers are now available: Google Books (gb), Amazon
(aws), and Open Library (ol). Two system preferences enable this service:
- CoceHost - URL of Coce server
- CoceProviders - Ordered list of requested providers. For example
gb,aws,ol, will return the first available URL from those providers.
Several advantages to this architecture:
- If a book cover is not available from a provider, but is available
from another one, Koha will be able to display a book cover, which
isn't the case now
- Since URLs are cached, it isn't necessary for each book cover to
request, again and again, the provider, and several of them if
necessary.
- Amazon book covers are retrieved with Amazon Product Advertising
API, which means that more covers are retrieved (ISBN13).
Test plan:
- Apply this patch, and test with 'Bootstrap' themes
- You can verify that nothing has changed on OPAC result and detail
page, since new syspref haven't been filled
- Install Code: https://github.com/fredericd/coce
Or ask me directly for the URL of a Coce server
- In sysprefs, tab Enhanced content, modify:
CoceHost -- enter the URL of your Coce server
CoceProviders -- fill with: gb,aws,ol
- Do a search. On result page, and detail page, you will see cover
images originating from the 3 providers: fly over the image to see its
URL. Try to compare with a Koha with just GoogleJacket or Amazon cover
to confirm that you have more images. Verify that it's quick, and even
quicker for cached images URLs.
- Check that Browse Shelf functionnality works properly.
- The ID sent to Coce is EAN or ISBN. Try with various type of biblios. DVD
have often EAN, but no ISBN.
- You can try with those sysprefs:
CoceProviders: aws,gb
CoceHost: http://coce.tamil.fr:8080
and this EAN (or ISBN): 3333297517744
=> OPACAmazonCoverImages enabled doesn't display a cover because, it's a DVD
=> Coce find and display the DVD cover.

This patch makes it possible to sync patron data between Koha and the
Norwegian national patron database, in both directions.
In order to use this, the following information is necessary:
- a username/password from the Norwegian national database of libraries
("Base Bibliotek"), available to all Norwegian libraries
- a special key in order to decrypt and encrypt PIN-codes/passwords,
which is only available to Norwegian library system vendors
- a norwegian library vendor username/password
See http://www.lanekortet.no/ for more information (in Norwegian).
While this is of course an implementation of a specific synchronization scheme
for borrower data, attempts have been made to prepare the ground for other sync
schemes that might be implemented later. Especially the structure of the new
borrower_sync table might be reviewed with an eye to how it might fit other
schemes.
To test:
Since the password and cryptographic key needed to use this functionality
is only available to Norwegian library system vendors, only regression testing
can be done on the submitted code. Suggested things to check:
- Apply the patch and make sure the database update is done. This should add
the new "borrower_sync" table and five new systmpreferences under the
"Patrons" > "Norwegian patron database" category:
- NorwegianPatronDBEnable
- NorwegianPatronDBEndpoint
- NorwegianPatronDBUsername
- NorwegianPatronDBPassword
- NorwegianPatronDBSearchNLAfterLocalHit
- Check that patrons can be created, edited and deleted as usual, when
NorwegianPatronDBEnable is set to "Disable"
- Check that the new tests in t/NorwegianPatronDB.pm run ok, e.g. on a
gitified setup:
$ sudo koha-shell -c "PERL5LIB=/path/to/kohaclone prove -v t/NorwegianPatronDB.t" instancename
- Check that all the other tests still run ok
- Check that the POD in the new files itroduced by this patch looks ok:
- Koha/NorwegianPatronDB.pm
- members/nl-search.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-from-koha.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-to-koha.pl
- t/NorwegianPatronDB.t

The current holds behavior in Koha allows a situation like this:
- Patron A has an item currently checked out.
- Patron B places a hold on the next available copy of that title.
- Then Patron A will not be able to renew his item, even if there are
other available copies of that title that could potentially fill Patron
B's hold.
Since this seems unfair to Patron A, we should allow renewal of items
even if there are unfilled holds, but those holds could all be filled
with currently available items.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Create a record with two items
3) Check out the item to a patron
4) Place a hold on the record
5) Note you cannot renew the item for the patron
6) Enable the new system preference AllowRenewalIfOtherItemsAvailable
7) Note you can now renew the item, as all the holds can be satisfied
by available items.
8) Place a second hold on the record
9) Note you can no longer renew the item, as all the holds *cannot*
be filled by currently available items

This bug adds a new preference, "SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEdition,"
but the use of the term "Edition" in this context is incorrect. I think
it would be more clear to change the preference name to
"SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEditing." This patch makes this change.
I realize this isn't a big issue since the preference has a good
description, but I thought that if we were going to make this as clear
as possible now would be the time to do it.

This feature will allow libraries to specify that, when an item is returned,
a local hold may be given priority for fulfillment even though it is
of lower priority in the list of unfilled holds.
This feature has three settings:
* LocalHoldsPriority, which enables the feature
* LocalHoldsPriorityPatronControl, which selects for either tha patron's
home library, or the patron's pickup library for the hold
* LocalHoldsPriorityItemControl, which selects for either the item's

This patch implements the In-House Use feature for Koha.
It adds:
- 2 new sysprefs:
'In-House Use' to enable/disable this feature
'In-House Use Forced' to enable/disable the feature for *all* users.
- 2 new columns issues.inhouse_use and old_issues.inhouse_use
- Datatable on the circulation history pages (readingrec) at the OPAC
and the intranet.
A new checkbox in the Circulation tab. If checked, the issue become a
in-house use (in the statistics and issues tables).
When you check it, the due date changes to the today date.
The syspref "In-House Use Force" allows to force the in-house use to
permit the checkout even if the borrower is debarred or others problems.
In the issue table, a new string (in red) marks the issue as "in-house use".
The circulation history contains 3 tabs : "all", "checkout" and
"in-house use" (OPAC and intranet).
The cronjob script:
If AutomaticItemReturn if off, a library would like not to do a transit
operation manually. This script (to launch each night) do returns
for a specific branches.
Test plan:
1/ Execute the updatedatabase entry
2/ Enable the 'In-House Use' pref.
3/ Checkout a biblio for a patron and check the 'in-house use' checkbox.
4/ Check that the due date is the today date (with 23:59) and is not modifiable.
5/ Click on the check out button and check that the new check out
appears in the table bellow with the "(In-house use)" string.
6/ Go on the circulation history pages (readingrec and opac-readingrec)

7/ Check in.
8/ Check readingrec pages.
9/ Choose a debarred patron and check that you cannot checkout a biblio

With the OPAC prog template going away, the only remaining use of the

- removes the preference from sysprefs.sql
- deletes the preference via updatedatabase.pl
- removes the preference from the staff client preferences file
- removes unused references to the YUI assets from the help file

This patch removes hardcoded 'prog' from themelanguage on C4/Templates.pm
It adds a new syspref OPACFallback to hold the prefferred fallback
theme for new themes with minimal changes.
This does not brake CCSR if new syspref value is 'prog',
using 'bootstrap' works somehow, but with strange results.
To test:
1) Apply the patch
2) Run updatedatbase.pl
3) CCSR, prog & bootstrap must work as usual
4) Need to test theme/language fallback
a) translate for your preferred language (xx-YY)
b) enable language on opac
c) go to opac, select that language
d) login on opac, go to personal details
e) remove koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/xx-YY/modules/opac-memberentry.tt
d) reload page, must load in English
f) click other member options, must load on translated language
(can use other pages, ccsr, prog or bootstrap)
5) Do a similar test but for a staff page, enable lang, switch to it,
rm koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/xx-YY/modules/admin/admin-home.tt,
any page must be translated except for admin home.

Some libraries would like the ability choose to display the home branch
on search results while having circulation rules based on the holding
branch. This is currently impossible because both the display of the
branch in search results, and the selection of the home or holding
branch for circulation rules are controlled by the same system
preference: HomeOrHoldingBranch. This preference is described as being
used only for circulation rules, and makes no mention of its use for
display control. The display control should be split off into a separate
preference.

When a patron has many checked out items, circulation.pl can take a very
long time to load ( on the order of minutes in some cases ). This is
primarily due to the processing of the previous checkouts list. If we
convert to this table to a datatable that fetches its data via ajax, we
can make circulation.pl far more responsive. The same should be done
with relative's checkouts as well.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Observe that the checkouts and relatives' checkouts tables
are now loaded asynchronously
3) Observe and verify the renew and return actions are now
ajax based and function in a manner equivilent to how they
used to.

This patch adds a new system preference 'OPACAcquisitionDetail'.
If it is enabled, information about items on order will be displayed on
the OPAC detail page.
Test plan:
- switch on the OPACAcquisitionDetails pref.
- set the AcqCreateItems pref to 'receiving'.
- create some orders on 1 or more items.
- go to the opac detail page and verify the "Holdings" tab contains the
line "X item are on order." (at the bottom of the table containing the
item list).
- receive the items.
- verify the number of items has decreased.
- set the AcqCreateItems pref to 'ordering'.
- create some orders on 1 or more items.
- go to the opac detail page and verify the item list contains the items
with the "on order" status.
- receive the items.
- verify the received items no longer have the the "on order" status.

Some libraries would like to streamline the cataloging process my
automatically updating notforloan values on checkin. For example, an
item is set to notforloan of -1 ( ordered ). The item, is received,
processed, and checked in for the first time before being shelved.
The checkin automatically changes the nfl value from -1 to 0. The
same workflow could be used for damaged items as well.

1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set the new system preference UpdateNotForLoanStatusOnCheckin
to the following:
-1: 0
0: 1
4) Create an item, set its notforloan value to -1

Currently, in opac-detail.pl, there exists a column named 'Location'.
This column lists the name of the holding branch, and the item's
location description. This can cause confusion to borrowers, as
they may assume that the holding branch is the *owning* branch
(homebranch) of an item.
This could cause a situation where a borrower waits for an
item to be returned to his or her library, only to find that
the library never owned that item, and it was transferred back
to its homebranch. It could also lead a borrower to falsely
assume that his or her home library does not own a copy of a
particular item because the borrower does not see an his or her
home library listed for any of the items on the record.
In addition, even when the holding branch is different
than the home branch, the item's shelving location is displayed,
even though that branch may not use that location.
This commit makes the item details table equivalent to the intranet
details page by adding a "Home Library" column, which displays the
item's home library, as well as the shelving location.
If singleBranchMode is enabled, this column disappears and the
"Location" column displays the shelving location only.
This commit adds two new system preferences:
OpacLocationBranchToDisplay, which defines whether
to display the holding library, the home library,
or both for the opac details page.
OpacLocationBranchToDisplayShelving, which defines
where the shelving location should be displayed,
under the home library, the holding library, or both.

The value of the pref should be '1' (for yes) or '0' (for no).
The options could be kept as 'yes' and 'no': since the ImplicitTyping is

is unset later.

Currently, the Koha system preference OPACItemHolds allows a library
system to choose to allow patrons to place bib and item level holds from
the OPAC, or to allow patrons only to place bib level holds only from
the OPAC.
This patch set adds a third option, "force", which *requires* that
patrons place item level holds from the opac, with no option of making a
bib level hold.
This patch modifies the system preference OPACItemHolds to be of the
type "Choice", with the choices being "no", "yes", "force". The patch
does not alter the currently set value of OPACItemHolds for database
updates, only adding the additional option.
Test Plan:
1) Set OPACItemHolds to "no". Check that OPAC holds behave as it is now
(no "Place On" column, no "Select a specific copy" table, making a
reserve is successful)
2) Set OPACItemHolds to "yes". Check that OPAC holds behave as it is now
( "Place On" column is there, "Select a specific copy" table shows when
"A specific copy" is selected, making a reserve is successful)
3) Set OPACItemHolds to "force". Check that OPAC holds behave as follows:
- no "Place On" column is present
- "Select a specific copy" table is opened
- making a reserve is successful

Records hidden with OpacSuppression are filtered from the search
results, but the opac-detail page is still visible if you know the
biblio number. This patch hides the detail page for suppressed biblios
by redirecting (controlled by the syspref OpacSuppressionRedirect)
either to opac-blocked (default), explaining that the record is blocked
(including optional explanatory text from the syspref
OpacSuppressionMessage) or to Koha's 404 page, giving no hint that a
biblio with that number exists in the system.

Sometimes libraries need to backdate returns further back in time than
Koha's dropbox mode will allow. The returns backdating will check in an
item as if it had been returned on the specified date, and will reduce
any fine accordingly.
This feature is activated by a new system preference, SpecifyReturnDate.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Check out an item, and backdate the due date by 1 month or so
* This issue needs to generate a fine
3) Run fines.pl to generate the fine
4) Browse to returns.pl
5) Specify a return date of the day after the specified due date
6) Check the borrowers issue history, you should see the backdated
return date, rather than today's date
7) Check the fine, it should be reduced to a fine for a single day
overdue, rather than the previous larger fine.

The current "Library" facet is somewhat ambiguous for Koha installations
with multiple libraries. It refers to the holdingbranch, but does not
explicitly state this. It would be beneficial to allow the administrator
to choose to show facets for the holding library, home library, or both.
In addition, the facets should be more explicitly labeled. This patch
adds this flexibility.
Test plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Check that the facets label "Libraries" now reads "Holding libraries"
3) Update the system preference DisplayLibraryFacets to "home library"
4) Check that the facet now reads "Home libraries"

displayed.

This patch adds a new system preference, AllowMultipleIssuesOnABiblio.
If this system preference is OFF, an alert is raised if a patron
tries to check out an item even when they already have a different
item checked out from that bib.
The librarian can force the checkout anyway.
It doesn't alert the librarian if the biblio is a subscription
Test plan:
1. Create a biblio with at least 2 items
2. Checkout the first item for a borrower
3. Set syspref AllowMultipleIssuesOnABiblio to OFF.
4. Try to checkout the second item with the same borrower. A message
should appear telling you that this borrower already borrowed an item
from this biblio.
If you have the permission 'force_checkout' You should also see two
buttons to confirm (or not) the checkout
5. Click on 'No'. The checkout is not done
6. Repeat step 4 and click 'Yes', the checkout is done.
7. Return the second item.
8. Set syspref AllowMultipleIssuesOnABiblio to ON
9. Try to checkout the second item with the same borrower. This time
the checkout is done without warnings.

In Advanced Search, the list of available language is long and will only
get longer. For a library offering books in 2-3 languages, that is
offering too many options to the user (most of the small libraries we
deal with only offer documents in two languages).
Code changes:
Languages.pm: Extract getAllLanguages to make a more customizable
getLanguages (have getAllLanguage call it, so rest of codebase is
oblivious to the change). Build array returned based on system pref if
corresponding argument is set.
search.pl and opac-search.pl: call getLanguages instead of

3) back in OPAC, refresh screen, acknowledge only Italian and English

4) in Intranet, click Search then click "More options" to make the

5) Regression Test: Back to the preference, empty the field then save.

This patch removes some dead code concerning the handling of patrons
that are members of other, institutional patrons. This code did not
work; removing it clears the field if somebody wants to do a better
implementation of such relationships between patrons.
This patch:
[1] Removes the memberofinstitution system preference.
[2] Removes the following routines:
C4::Members::get_institutions()
C4::Members::add_member_orgs() (and removing this routine
removes a reference to a borrowers_to_borrowers table that
does not exist).
There should be no changes whatsoever to system functionality with this
patch (with the trivial exception of the absence of the
memberofinstitution system preference).
Test plan:
[1] Look at the code and use grep, git grep, etc. verify this patch
does not remove something in use.
[2] Verify that there are no regressions upon adding or editing
a patron record.
[3] Verify that the memberofinstitution system preference has been

Currently, the number of items to display is hardcoded (50).
But the perl script loads all items before to check if the number of
items is oversized.

*total* number of items for a biblio is greater, no item is displayed
and a link allows to display all items.
Test plan:
1/ search a biblio with many items

the pref value

RM note: I must point out that there ZERO functionality associated
with the order that system preferences occur in that SQL script; they are
sorted solely in an attempt to reduce the likelihood of merge conflicts
during the development process. Consequently, I dislike language that
suggests it is an "error" if sysprefs.sql happens to not be perfectly
sorted; it is at most an inconvenience.
This patch rephrases the description or examples of 5 sysprefs:
1/ MARCAuthorityControlField008: "MARC" -> "MARC21"
2/ itemcallnumber: "Examples" -> "Examples (for MARC21 records)"
3/ DefaultLanguageField008: "Range 35-37" -> "Range 35-37 of MARC21 records"
4/ MARCOrgCode: "new MARC records" -> "new MARC21 records"
5/ UNIMARCAuthorityField100 description: "Do NOT include the date
(position 00-05)." -> "position 08-35. Do NOT include the date
(position 00-07)."
It also adds description in SQL systempreferences table for
UNIMARCAuthorityField100, MARCAuthorityControlField008 and MARCOrgCode.
Test plan:

This patch adds a more extensible and flexible debarments system to Koha. The fields
borrowers.debarred and borrowers.debarredcomment are retained for compatibility and
speed.
This system supports having debarments for multiple reasons. There are currently
three types of debarments:
OVERDUES - Generated by overdue_notices.pl if the notice should debar a patron
SUSPENSION - A punative debarment generated on checkin via an issuing rule
MANUAL - A debarment created manually by a librarian
OVERDUE debarments are cleared automatically when all overdue items have been returned,
if the new system preference AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions is enabled. It is disabled
by default to retain current default functionality.
Whenever a borrowers debarments are modified, the system updates the borrowers debarment
fields with the highest expiration from all the borrowers debarments, and concatenates
the comments from the debarments together.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Verify the borrower_debarments table has been created and
populated with the pre-existing debarments
4) Run t/db_dependent/Borrower_Debarments.t
5) Manually debar a patron, with an expiration date
6) Verify the patron cannot be issued to
7) Add another manual debarment with a different expiration date

10) Verify the borrower is now debarred indefinitely
11) Delete the indefinite debarment
12) Verify the debarment message lists an expiration date dagain
13) Enable the new system preference AutoRemoveOverduesRestrictions
14) Set an overdue notice to debar after 1 day of being overdue

This patch adds an HTML5-based offline mode to Koha's existing
circulation module, allowing librarians to check out items using a
basically familiar interface. The feature will be implemented using
the Application Cache and IndexedDB features of the HTML5 specification,
both of which are fully supported on Firefox 10+ and Chrome 23+, with
limited support going back to Firefox 4 and Chrome 11. The basic
workflow enabled by this patch is as follows:
Part 1: While connected to the Internet
1. Enable offline functionality by turning on the
"AllowOfflineCirculation" system preference.
2. Sync the offline circulation database on the computer that will be
used for offline circulation by following the "Offline circulation
interface" link on the Circulation home page, choosing "Synchronize (must be online)",
and clicking the "Download records" button. This process may take a while.
3. Bookmark /cgi-bin/koha/circ/offline.pl (the page you are currently
on) for easy access when offline.
Part 2: While disconnected from the Internet
4. Navigate to /cgi-bin/koha/circ/offline.pl using the bookmark you
created while online.
5. Start checking books in by scanning the barcode of an item that has
been returned into the box in the "Check in" tab.
6. Scan the barcodes of any additional items that have been returned.
7. Start checking out books to a patron by scanning the patron's barcode
in the box in the "Check out" tab.
8. Set a due date (the "Remember for session" box will be checked by
default, since circulation rules are not computed during offline
transactions and therefore a due date must be specified by the
librarian).
9. Scan an item barcode (if you did not set a due date, it will prompt
you) to check the item out to the patron.
10. If a patron has a fine you can see the total amount (current to when
the offline module was synced), and record a payment. Unlike when in
online mode, there will be no breakdown of what item(s) fines are
for, and you will only be able to record the payment amount and not
associate it with a particular item.
Part 3: While connected to the Internet
11. Click the "Synchronize" link and choose "Upload transactions" to
upload the transactions recorded during the offline circulation
session.
12. Navigate to /cgi-bin/koha/offline_circ/list.pl (there will be a
link from the Offline circulation page) and review the
transactions, as described in the documentation for the Firefox
Offline circulation plugin:
http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Offline_circulation_firefox_plugin

This patch adds functionality to forgive overdue fine when an item is
set to lost status. Fines are forgiven only when the syspref
WhenLostForgiveFine is set to yes. Item can be set to lost status from:
- catalogue/moredetail.pl
- cataloguing/additem.pl
- tools/batchMod.pl
- misc/cronjobs/longoverdue.pl
Changed subroutine C4::Circulation::LostItem to forgive fines on the
item depending on the value of syspref WhenLostForgiveFine. This
routine is currently used to return an item and charge a replacement
cost.
Also added a new syspref in C4::Circulation::LostItem -
WhenLostChargeReplacementFee. The replacement fee will now be charged
only if this syspref is set to yes. The default value of the
WhenLostChargeReplacementFee is yes, meaning that current behavior
will not change during upgrade.

This trivial patch set the default to 'yes' for this system preference.
To test,
On a clean install
- Navigate Home > Administration > Global System preferences > Logs
- AuthoritiesLog is set to "Don't log"
Apply the patch, install koha on a new DB.
- Navigate Home > Administration > Global System preferences > Logs
- AuthoritiesLog should be set to "Log"

By sorting the sql syspref file, the frequency of merge conflicts
when dealing with it should be reduced.
Test plan:
- create a new DB with a new table named systempreferences (with the
same structure as the one you know).
- insert the current sysprefs.sql file into this table.
- note the number of rows in the systempreferences table.
- Create a dump of the system preferences, e.g.,
mysql> \T sysprefs-1
mysql> SELECT * FROM systempreferences ORDER BY variable;
mysql> exit
- apply this patch.
- delete all rows of the systempreferences table.
- insert the new sysprefs.sql file.
- verify the number of rows is the same as the previous.
- Create a new dump of the system preferences, e.g.,
mysql> \T sysprefs-2
mysql> SELECT * FROM systempreferences ORDER BY variable;
mysql> exit
- Verify that the two dumps (sysprefs-1 and sysprefs-2) are
identical.

When issuing a book, some libraries want to issue by title or other details.
This patch adds a systempreference and code that allows it.
To test:
1) scan a patron card or enter a surname to start checking out;
2) enter title or other keywords;
3) the circulation screen should display a warning allowing to choose between copies.

Adds a new system preference AllowTooManyOverride to control whether
a librarian can override the 'Too many checked out' message which is
currently always overridable.
Test Plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Attempt to check out 1 more item to a patron than the max issues
4) You should be allowed to override by default ( current behavior )
5) Set AllowTooManyOverride to "Don't allow"
6) Repeat step 3
7) You should be blocked from being able to issue the item

The new system preference is activated by default, which mean there
will be no change in behaviour on update.
The system preference is correctly added to the database and .pref
files.
Test plan and QA script passes.

Some vendors ship materials from the same invoice in multiple packages.
In those cases, it would be good to notify the librarian when they enter
a duplicate invoice number, so that they can continue receiving on the
previously-created invoice, rather than creating an invoice with a
duplicate number.
To test:
1) Apply patch and run database update.
2) Make sure that you have created at least one invoice on
acqui/parcels.pl and take note of the invoice number.
3) Try to create an invoice with the same invoice number.
4) Note that without changing your configuration this works exactly
the same as before.
5) Turn on the AcqWarnOnDuplicateInvoice system preference.
6) Try to create a new invoice with the same number as the one you
noted earlier.
7) Make sure you get a warning about a duplicate invoice.
8) Choose to receive on the existing invoice.
9) Confirm that you are receiving on said existing invoice.
10) Start the receiving process over, and this time choose "Create new
invoice anyway."
11) Confirm that you are now receiving on a new invoice.

Passes all tests and QA script.
I have followed the test plan, but also checked some more things:
- Checking the duplicate check works when you have the entered
invoice number in your database multiple times already.
- Checking that no duplicate message is shown if you enter the
invoice number and it's already been used for an invoice from
another vendor.
Looks all good. I think the only thing we could argue about here
is if this could be activated by default for new installations.

On by default.
To Test
1/ Create an overdue item, that should get fines
2/ Return the item
3/ Check the borrowers record to see if the fine has been added/updated
Apply patch
1/ Make sure preference is set to do
Repeat steps 1-3 above
2/ Switch the preference to don't
Repeat stes 1-2
3/ Check the fine hasn't been added/updated

All tests and QA script pass, works as described.
I would categorize this a bug fix for libraries that don't want
the new changed behaviour that was introduced by recalculating
fines on return.

Database revision for report 9722, adding new pref OpacShowHoldNotes.
This development is part of a larger one (see umbrella report 9721).
Test plan:
Run [your server]/cgi-bin/koha/installer/install.pl?step=3&op=updatestructure
Optionally, run a new install to test sysprefs.sql.
Or:
Edit sysprefs.sql, leave at least the last few lines including the new one.
And run from command line: mysql -p [yourdatabase] < [your-clone]/installer/data/mysql/sysprefs.sql

Adds a course reserves system for academic libraries.
The course reserves system allows libraries to create courses
and put items on reserves for those courses.
Each item with at least one reserve can have some of its attributes
modified while it is on reserve for at least one active course.
These attributes include item type, collection code, shelving location,
and holding library. If there are no active courses with this item
on reserve, it's attributes will revert to the original attributes
it had before going on reserve.
Test Plan:
1) Create new authorised value categories DEPARTMENT and TERM
2) Create a new course, add instructors to that course.
3) Reserve items for that course, verify item attributes have changed.
4) Disable course, verify item attributes have reverted.
5) Enable course again, verify item attributes again.
6) Delete course, verify item attributes again.
7) Create two new courses, add the same item(s) to both courses.
8) Disable one course, verify item attributes have not reverted.
9) Disable both courses, verify item attributes have reverted.
10) Enable one course, verify item attributes are again set to the
new values.
11) Edit reserve item attributes, verify.
12) Disable all courses, edit reserve item attributes, verify
the item itself still has its original attributes, verify
the reserve item attributes have been updated.
13) Verify the ability to remove instructors from a course.
14) Verify new permissions, top level coursereserves, with
subpermissions add_reserves and delete_reserves.

Currently, new installs are created with XSLT display set to "off",
but XSLT seems to be the preferred way to display records, so
having the default be "on" instead seems to make sense. This patch
will of course only affect new installs.
To test:
- Apply the patch
- Run through the webinstaller on an empty database
- Log in to the staff client and search for "xslt" in system
preferences
- Verify that XSLTDetailsDisplay, XSLTResultsDisplay,
OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay and OPACXSLTResultsDisplay are all set to
"default"
