By correcting the indentation, it became more apparent the two
markup errors (stray </li> and </div> tags) that were generated
by pasting the page source of

A librarian with no course reserves permissions cannot view course
reserves from the staff intranet, yet can from the OPAC. This doesn't
make much sense. Librarians should not require any course reserves
permissions to view courses and reserves from the staff intranet.
Test Plan:
1) Log into staff intranet as a librarian with no course reserves
permissions
2) Note you cannot view course reserves
3) Apply this patch
4) Note you can now view course reserves
5) Verify you cannot modify courses or course reserves

Bug 11866 [Follow-up] Staff side course reserves too restrictive
This follow-up patch adds a check for the "UseCourseReserves" system
preference to the display of the Course reserves menu item in the
header.
To test, view the "More" menu with the "UseCourseReserves" system
preference on and off. The menu item should appear and disappear
accordingly.

It should be possible for staff client users to search and view
authority records even if they don't have permission to edit them.
To test, apply the patch and view the staff client as a user with and
without "editauthorities" permission.
With "editauthorities" permission, authority search results should show
both an edit and delete link. Viewing the details of an authority
record, one should see a toolbar with edit/delete/new options.
The detail view has been altered to use the term "record" in place of
"biblio" ("Used in X record(s)).
Without "editauthorities" permission, authority search results should
show no edit or delete link. Viewing the details of an authority, the
only option shown in the toolbar should be "Save."
On the staff client home page and in the header's "More" menu the link
to the authorities module should now appear with and without permission
to edit authorities.
This patch also corrects the permissions in the authority export script
to allow saving of authority records by users who do not have permission
to edit.

This patch removes JavaScript "onlick" attributes from header.inc and
moves the functionality to staff-global.js. This is in keeping with the
idea of progressive enhancement.
To test, be sure to clear your browser cache after applying the patch.
- Test the help link.
- Test the logout link with the intranetbookbag preference on and off.
- Open a patron's account and click "search to hold." Log out, and log
in again. Koha should not remember the patron you chose before
logging out (as seen from a search results page).

Adds a course reserves system for academic libraries.
The course reserves system allows libraries to create courses
and put items on reserves for those courses.
Each item with at least one reserve can have some of its attributes
modified while it is on reserve for at least one active course.
These attributes include item type, collection code, shelving location,
and holding library. If there are no active courses with this item
on reserve, it's attributes will revert to the original attributes
it had before going on reserve.
Test Plan:
1) Create new authorised value categories DEPARTMENT and TERM
2) Create a new course, add instructors to that course.
3) Reserve items for that course, verify item attributes have changed.
4) Disable course, verify item attributes have reverted.
5) Enable course again, verify item attributes again.
6) Delete course, verify item attributes again.
7) Create two new courses, add the same item(s) to both courses.
8) Disable one course, verify item attributes have not reverted.
9) Disable both courses, verify item attributes have reverted.
10) Enable one course, verify item attributes are again set to the
new values.
11) Edit reserve item attributes, verify.
12) Disable all courses, edit reserve item attributes, verify
the item itself still has its original attributes, verify
the reserve item attributes have been updated.
13) Verify the ability to remove instructors from a course.
14) Verify new permissions, top level coursereserves, with
subpermissions add_reserves and delete_reserves.

With the addition of the Plugins feature a link was added to the global
navigation in the "More" submenu. I think this is unnecessary. The
global navigation should be limited to primary Koha functons.
This patch removes the link. To test, apply the patch and confirm that
there is no longer a link to Plugins in the header navigation under
"More."

Adds support for custom plugins. At the moment the Plugins
feature supports two types of plugins, reports and tools.
Plugins are installed by uploading KPZ ( Koha Plugin Zip )
packages. A KPZ file is just a zip file containing the
perl files, template files, and any other files neccessary
to make the plugin work.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Create the directory /var/lib/koha/plugins
4) Add the lines
<pluginsdir>/var/lib/koha/plugins</pluginsdir>
<enable_plugins>1</enable_plugins>"
to your koha-conf.xml file
5) Add the line
Alias /plugin/ "/var/lib/koha/plugins/"
to your koha-httpd.conf file
6) Restart your webserver
7) Access the plugins system from the "More" pulldown
8) Upload the example plugin file provided here
9) Try it out!

YUI JS is deprecated as far as Koha is concerned, and jQueryUI menus
don't seem to be as robust as they should be. This makes Twitter
Bootstrap very attrative for its menus features as well as other
aspects.
This patch revises the staff client header menu to include features from
Bootstrap, including replacement of the YUI-driven "More..." menu with a
Bootstrap version, and a new user menu taken from Corey Fuimaono's
similar patch.
To test, be sure to clear your cache after applying the patch. Load any
page in the staff client and confirm that the menu at the top of the
screen looks correct and works as normal, including functionality of the
"more" menu. Confirm that the username/logged-in branch triggers a menu
with "set library" and "log out" options. Confirm that Cart operations
trigger the correct confirmation popup.
Revision moves the Bootstrap assets out of the prog template into
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/lib.

page and in the header menu with checks for edit_catalogue
OR edit_items permission.

permissions. The "cataloging" link on the main page and
in the header menu should only appear to a user with
edit_catalogue permission, edit_items permission, or both.

For some reason the latest version of Firefox doesn't like
the javascript which empties the cart on logout. As Ian points
out, there is code which tries to redirect to "about:blank"
and close the window (since the main context of the function
is the Cart's popup window.
This patch adds a parameter to the delBasket function so
that we can pass a "popup" context to the function and
choose whether or not we want to ask JS to close the window.

This patch does a couple of things.
1. Changes permission over all to set branch printer (change branch/Set Library) from "circulation" privileges to "view catalogue" permissions. Reasoning: anyone who has privileges to view catalogue could reasonably be expected to perhaps need to change the set branch, but you might have people who don't have circulate permissions who need to change the branch, centralized cataloguing, for example. Those people would never circ and wouldn't need circ privileges, but *would* need to be able to change the set branch.
2. Changes the template flags to see the "Set Library" link with independent branches set from "manage users" to "manage users or edit catalogue." Reasoning: even with indy branches on, there might be reasons for catalogers to be able to change the set branch (that reason was the impetus for this patch in the first place).
To test:
Create a user with only "View Catalogue" Permissions (no circulate permissions), that user should be able to change set library with Independent branches OFF.
With independent branches on, give a user edit catalogue permissions. That user should be able to change set library.
I want to add that this patch was specifically written in response to chris_n's bug report. It may not be practical for these changes to be in mainline, but I haven't thought of any reasons why it would be explicitly bad. That doesn't mean there aren't some, though.
