Bug 25276: Correct hover style of list share button in the OPAC
This patch adds missing "btn" classes to the OPAC share button so that
its style is consistent with similar controls.

The patch also makes some general changes to the OPAC CSS to make sure
link color and hover color are applied with enough specificity. This
corrects the hover color of the share button but should not change any
other existing style.

To test you should have the OpacAllowSharingPrivateLists preference
enabled.
 - Rebuild the OPAC CSS
   (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
 - Log in to the OPAC as a user with one or more private lists.
 - Go to Lists -> Your lists.
 - In the list of lists there should be a "Share" link for each list.
Hovering your mouse pointer over the link should change the style in
the same way the "Edit" link does.

Bug 23173: Provide core infrastructure
This patch adds the required infrastructure to enable ILL availability
plugins to intercept the request creation process and, using the
supplied metadata, search for and display possible relevant items from
whichever availability plugins are installed.

Currently three availability plugins exist:

z39.50 - Searches any number of the Koha instance's configured Z targets
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-ill-avail-z3950

EDS - Searches the EBSCO Discovery Service
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-ill-avail-eds

Unpaywall - Searches the Unpaywall API for possible open access versions
of the requested item
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/koha-plugin-ill-avail-unpaywall

The Unpaywall plugin is intended to serve as a "reference" plugin as the
API it deals with is extremely simple

Bug 24996: Unwanted CSS change unhides OPAC results sorting button
This patch adds back a CSS selector which was incorrectly removed by Bug
23915. The "Go" button associated with the OPAC search results resort
operation should be hidden if JavaScript is enabled.

To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client)

 - Perform a search in the OPAC
 - On the search results page, there should be no "Go" button next to
the re-sort/results per page selection fields.

Bug 14567: Add a browse interface to the OPAC
This is an interface for quick and efficient browsing through records.

It presents a page at /cgi-bin/koha/opac-browse.pl that allows you to
enter the prefix of an author, title, or subject and it'll give you a
list of the options that match that. You can then scroll through these
and select the one you're after. Selecting it provides a list of records
that match that particular search.

To Test:
 1 - Apply patches
2 - Update database (updatedatabase on kohadevbox)
 3 - Compile the CSS
   https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client
   yarn build --view=opac on kohadevbox
4 - Enable the new syspref OpacBrowseSearch
5 - Have ES running and some records in it
     SearchEngine syspref set to Elasticsearch
6 - Browse to opac home, click 'Browse search' link
for your site)
7 - Test searching for author, title, and subject
8 - Verify that results are returned in expected order
 9 - Experiment with fuzziness
     https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.6/common-options.html#fuzziness
Options are: exact (0 edits), fuzzy (1 edit), very fuzzy (2 edits)
10 - Click any result and verify specific titles are correct
11 - Click through title to record and verify it is the correct record
12 - Test that disabling pref removes the link on the opac home

Bug 7611: Change negative notforloan as well
This makes the changes apply to both positive and negative notforloan values

The extra line generated before is removed

Some spans are added and cleaned up and labels moved to CSS to allow for easier altering where needed

Itemtypes marked notforloan remain as reference, the label can be changed via css

To test:
1 - Have a record with items in various statuses, ideally
   - 3 available, with 2 in one branch, 1 in another
   - 3 with itemtype not for loan, 2 in one branch, 1 in another
   - 3 in a positive not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
   - 3 in a negative not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
   - 1 in a different positive loan status, but with the same opac description as the negative above
2 - Search the opac to include this record, take a screenshot
 3 - Apply patch
4 - Restart all and refresh
5 - Compare to screen shot
 6 - Differences include:
   - Positive statuses are now on separate line with opac description showing
   - Unavailable (not for loan items) now include callnumber and branch in display
   - Positive and negative notforloan with same description are combined where branches match
   - Inspect the elements, note new spans around 'Items available for
loan/reference'
 7 - Add to OPACUserCSS:
  .ItemSummary .ItemBranch{
    display:none;
  }
  .unavailable .ItemSummary .CallNumber,.unavailable .ItemSummary .LabelCallNumber{
    display:none;
  }
8 - Note the branches are hidden, and callnumbe rhidden for unavailable
items

Bug 23915: Replace OPAC list sort menu with Bootstrap menu button
This patch adds JavaScript to the list contents page which converts the
resort form's <select> menu into a Bootstrap dropdown menu. This allows
for a more compact and consistent display.

To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

View a list in the OPAC. The toolbar of list controls ("New list,"
"Download list," etc.) should have a similary-styled "Sort" button. Each
sorting option should work correctly.

Bug 23955: Replace famfamfam icon in OPAC holds template
This patch modifies the OPAC holds template so that when an item isn't
available for an item-level hold a Font Awesome icon is displayed
instead of a famfamfam image.

To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

 - Make sure you have items which can be placed on hold at the item
   level.
 - Locate a title with more than one item, at least one of which isn't
available to be placed on hold (item is marked withdrawn, for
   instance).
 - Start the process of placing a hold on the item.
 - On the "Confirm holds" scren, click "Show more options" and select "A
   specific item."
 - In the table of items, any item which isn't available to be put on
hold should be inidicated with a red X. The title attribute of the
icon should show "Cannot be put on hold."

Bug 23903: Replace OPAC icons with Font Awesome
This patch replaces CSS-based background image icons with Font Awesome
icons. This will eliminate the use of sprite.png altogether.

To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

Because JavaScript events are often triggered by class, the changes made
in this patch require testing of JavaScript-driven behavior as well as
visual confirmation of the changes.

Enable OPAC features to expose them for testing: Login, Holds, Article
requests, Tags, Cart, Search term highlighting.

 - Perform a search in the OPAC
   - In the header at the top of the search results, check the
     'Unhighlight/Highlight' link.
   - Select some search results and verify that the multi-item controls
are enabled: Add to cart/Lists; Place hold; Tag. Check that these
     controls work correctly.
   - Verify that the following links look correct and work correctly:
'Place hold,' 'Request article,' 'Log in to add tags,' 'Add to
     cart.'
   - Log in to the OPAC and return to the search results page. Check the
'Add tag' and 'Save to lists' links.

 - View the lists page
   - Test the 'Edit' and 'Delete' controls.
   - View the contents of a list. Test the following:
      - Controls at the top of the table of results ('New list,'
'Download list,' 'Send list,' 'Print list,' 'Edit list,' and
        'Delete list').
      - Multi-selection operations: 'Place hold,' 'Tag,' and 'Remove
        from list.'
      - Controls for each item on the list: 'Place hold,' 'Add tag,'
'Save to another list,' 'Remove from this list,' and 'Add to
        cart.'

   - View the bibliographic detail page for any search result
     - In the right-hand sidebar menu, verify that these controls look
correct and work correctly: 'Place hold,' 'Print,' 'Request
article,' 'Save to your lists,' 'Add to your cart,'
'Unhighlight,' 'Send to device,' 'Save record,' and 'More
      searches.'
     - Test the shelf browser by clicking 'Browse shelf' under the call
number for any of the holdings.
       - Test the 'Next' and 'Previous' controls.
     - Check the tabs for switching between 'Normal,' 'MARC,' and 'ISBD'
views and verify that they look correct on each of those pages.

 - Add some items to the Cart and open the Cart
   - Test the cart controls at the top: 'More details/Brief display,'
'Send,' 'Download,' 'Empty and close,' 'Hide window,' 'Print.'
   - Test the multiple-selection controls: 'Remove,' 'Add to list,'
     'Place hold,' and 'Tag.'

 - Log in to the OPAC as a user who has items checked out which can be
renewed. On the 'Your summary' page, on the 'Checked out' tab, test
the 'Renew selected' and 'Renew all' links.

Bug 22445: (follow-up) Use CSS to set a max-width for images - OPAC
This patch adds some CSS and markup to OPAC templates so that custom
cover images have a maximum width of 140px (to match the width of
generated local cover image thumbnails). This prevents oversized images
from displaying inconsistently compared to images from other services.

To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC CSS. Post an oversized
image which corresponds to a record in your OPAC which can be added to a
user's checkouts and to a list.

View the following pages to confirm that the image displays well:

 - OPAC search results
 - Bibliographic detail page
 - Shelf browser
 - List contents
 - Recent comments
 - "Your summary"

Bug 18084: Language selector hidden in user menu on mobile interfaces
This patch updates templates and CSS so that the language-selection menu
in the header will not be hidden if the browser width is too narrow.

This patch also makes some more general improvements to the responsive
adaptability of the header elements.

To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS

Test the changes by viewing pages in the OPAC and adjusting your browser
width, paying attention to how elements in the top menu adapt to

Bug 23566: Continue on device - with QR codes
This patch adds the option to show a QR code on the OPAC bibliographic
detail page. The URL of the page is encoded in the image so that
scanning it will take the user to that page on their device. The feature
is controlled by a new system preference, OPACDetailQRCode, which is
disabled by default.

The QR Code is generated by a JavaScript library, "kjua"
(https://github.com/lrsjng/kjua), which has been added to the "About"
page in the staff client.

To test, apply the patch and run the database update. Rebuild the OPAC
CSS (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

 - In the staff client, go to Administration -> System preferences.
 - Locate the OPACDetailQRCode system preferences under OPAC ->
   Features. It should be disabled.
   - Enable the preference and switch to the OPAC.
 - Locate a title in the catalog and view the detail page.
   - In the sidebar menu there should be a "Send to device" link.
   - Clicking the link should display a QR Code.
   - Scan the code using a QR Code-capable device.
   - The URL should be correct.
 - Disable the system preference and confirm that the "Send to device"
link no longer appears on the OPAC detail page.

Bug 23492: OPAC search facet header should not be a link at larger browser widths
This patch adds some JavaScript-driven "breakpoints" to the OPAC so that
on the search results page the "Refine your search" heading has
different behaviors depending on whether facets are being displayed as a
sidebar.

To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC SCSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

Go to the OPAC and resize your browser to be greater than ~ 800px wide.

 - Perform a catalog search which will return several results.
 - In the left-hand sidebar of the search results page, the "Refine your
search" heading should not be styled like a link. Hovering over it
with the mouse should not change the cursor to the pointing-hand.
 - Narrow your browser window until the sidebar collapses.
   - The "Refine your search" heading should now be styled as a link,
with a right-arrow icon before it.
   - Clicking it should expand the facets. The icon should change to a
     down-arrow.
 - Widen your browser window and test again.

 - Perform the same tests when starting with a narrow browser window.

Bug 23099: OPAC Search result sorting "go" button flashes on page load
There are a few places in the OPAC where we hide the submit button on a
sorting form because the form auto-submits when the selection changes.
These should be hidden using CSS instead of JS to prevent the temporary
appearance of the submit button while the page loads.

Bug 22950: Markup error in OPAC recent comment template
This patch makes minor corrections to the template for the OPAC's
recent comments view. These corrections fix errors returned by the HTML
validator.

The patch moves some inline CSS into a class in the global OPAC CSS.
Some minor reindentation has also been done, so use diff with the '-w'
flag.

To reproduce the problem you should have the 'reviewson' system
preference turned on, and your system should have one or more
approved comments. View the "Recent comments" page in the OPAC. Run the
page through the W3C validation service: https://validator.w3.org.
Either by pasting in the URL for the search results (if web accessible)
or by viewing source, copying, and pasting into "Validate by Direct
Input."

This patch addresses one specific error:

 - "CSS: font-color: Property font-color doesn't exist."

To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

Try again to reproduce the validation errors. Those errors should no
longer be present. There should be no visible change to the page.

ffb432df78 Bug 8995: Show OpenURL links in OPAC search results
This patch use GetCOinS sub to provide an OpenURL link in OPAC search
results. It uses 4 new system preferences:
  - OpenURLinOPACResults: enable or disable this feature
  - OpenURLResolverURL: url of the openURL resolver
  - OpenURLText: text of the link
  - OpenURLImageLocation: image of the link

Link is displayed as an image if OpenURLImageLocation is defined, and as
text otherwise.
It works both with and without XSLT enabled.

Changes made to GetCOinSBiblio:

For 'journal':
- Title should be in rft.jtitle instead of rft.title
- rft.date, rft.aulast, rft.aufirst, rft.au, rft.pub and rft.pages have
no meaning for a subscription, so they are simply removed from URL

This patch refactors GetCOinSBiblio, so the construction of URL is done
only at the end. This way we do not have ugly
  $var .= "&amp;$value"
in the function body.

Also use URI::Escape instead of custom regexps.

This development consider the value of syspref OPACURLOpenInNewWindow
when building the link.

Test plan:
1/ Enable syspref OPACShowOpenURL and put your OpenURL resolver URL in
OpenURLResolverURL syspref (if you don't have one, just fill it with
some fake URL, you'll have to check if OpenURL links are correct)
2/ If you want, set the other sysprefs OpenURLImageLocation and
OpenURLText
3/ Fill syspref OPACOpenURLItemTypes with some (not all) of your
item types.
4/ Empty sysprefs OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay and OPACXSLTResultsDisplay
5/ Go to OPAC and launch a search.
6/ Check you have in the results (near the title) the OpenURL link (only
for itemtypes that are in OPACOpenURLItemTypes).
Toggle OPACURLOpenInNewWindow syspref and check that the behaviour of
the link is correct.
7/ Go to the detail page of one of those and check you have the OpenURL
link too. (Above tags)
Toggle OPACURLOpenInNewWindow syspref and check that the behaviour of
the link is correct.
8/ Set sysprefs OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay and OPACXSLTResultsDisplay to
"default" and repeat steps 5 to 7

In record detail page, item location is displayed with CSS using class "shelvingloc".

2df87a94f5 Bug 20427: Convert OPAC LESS to SCSS
This patch converts the OPAC LESS files to SCSS. In the process of
converting opac.less (and other .less files) to .scss, I have improved
the completeness of the nesting, reordered properties, and in general
done cleanup based on rules in .scss-lint.yml. All of these changes
should have no impact on the style of the OPAC.

This patch modifies the commands used to compile CSS so that OPAC and
staff assets can be processed separately:

'yarn build' <-- Builds the staff client assets by default
'yarn build --view opac' <-- Builds OPAC assets

To test, apply the patch and compile the CSS by running the command
above (or apply the follow-up patch with compiled CSS).

Do a thorough review of the OPAC, taking care to cover as many pages as
possible and checking responsive behavior at the same time. There should
be no visual differences in the OPAC before and after applying the
patch.

96fda97c09 Bug 7547: printing a sorted cart
This patch adds a DataTables-generated print button to the OPAC cart. To
make that process easier, the DataTables plugin has been upgraded to the
latest version (1.10.18) with the Buttons plugin included.

Changes to the OPAC LESS file style the DataTables button to look like
the static version.

Other templates in the OPAC which use the DataTables plugin have been
modified to use up-to-date option names.

To test, apply the patch and add several titles to the cart.

 - Open the cart
 - Re-sort the cart using something other than the default sort
 - Click the 'Print' button.
   - A print view should open in a separate window, sorted correctly,
and automatically show the print dialog.
 - Click the cart's 'More details' button and click the print button.
   - This should trigger the print dialog directly.

 - Test DataTables sorting on other modified pages:
    - Bibliographic detail page (holdings table)
    - Course reserves (table of courses)
      - Course details (table of titles)
    - Full subscription history
      - Detail page for a subscription -> More details -> Full history
    - Most popular
    - Purchase suggestions
    - Self checkouts
    - Tag cloud
    - Your fines
    - Your interlibrary loan requests
    - Your reading history
    - Your search history
    - Your search IDREF for ppn (I don't know how to test this)

The DataTables plugin is removed from "Your routing lists" and Self
check-in because it is unused.

e55b38928a Bug 17486: Remove Mozilla Persona
Persona never really took off, and although many browsers currently
support it, very few services actually implement it.

This has lead to it's founders, Mozilla, to end the project. In their
own words:

=============================================================================
Persona is no longer actively developed by Mozilla. Mozilla has
committed to operational and security support of the persona.org
services until November 30th, 2016.

On November 30th, 2016, Mozilla will shut down the persona.org services.
Persona.org and related domains will be taken offline.

If you run a website that relies on Persona, you need to implement an
alternative login solution for your users before this date.

For more information, see this guide to migrating your site away from
Persona:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Identity/Persona_Shutdown_Guidelines_for_Reliers

=============================================================================

Given the above, and that the Persona authentication methods as a whole
are no longer being actively maintained by anyone anywhere to ensure
ongoing security, we should deprecate the option from koha.

Test plan:
Apply this patch and make sure you do not find any references of Persona

9042ce4ea5 Bug 10632 [Follow-up] Enable datatables for courses and course details in the OPAC
This follow-up adds some style improvements and corrects some errors in
the previous patch:

- The path to datatables.css has been corrected
- Unused CSS has been removed from datatables.css (particularly related
to pagination controls, which are currently unused in the OPAC).
- Style has been added to datatables.css to make the table search form
  look better.
- The configuration of the course details table has been enhanced to
include a title sort which ignores articles and date sorting according
to the "title-string" method for date format agnostic sorting.
- Unrelated: A message <div> has been modified to have the correct style
  for the Bootstrap theme.

To test you should have multiple courses and at least one course with
multiple reserves. Clear your browser cache if necessary and view the
list of courses in the OPAC. All table sorting should work correctly, as
should the table search form.

View the details of a course which has multiple reserves. All sorting
should work correctly, including title sort excluding articles. Sorting
by date due should work correctly for any dateformat system preference
setting.

View the details of a course which has no reserves. You should see a "No
reserves" message box with a style consistent with similar messages in
the Bootstrap OPAC.

View other sorted tables in the OPAC to confirm that the CSS changes
have not negatively affected their appearance: opac-user.pl for
instance, or opac-detail.pl.

2e72eb8880 Bug 10860: In-House Use
This patch implements the In-House Use feature for Koha.

It adds:
- 2 new sysprefs:
'In-House Use' to enable/disable this feature
'In-House Use Forced' to enable/disable the feature for *all* users.
- 2 new columns issues.inhouse_use and old_issues.inhouse_use
- Datatable on the circulation history pages (readingrec) at the OPAC
  and the intranet.

A new checkbox in the Circulation tab. If checked, the issue become a
in-house use (in the statistics and issues tables).
When you check it, the due date changes to the today date.

The syspref "In-House Use Force" allows to force the in-house use to
permit the checkout even if the borrower is debarred or others problems.

In the issue table, a new string (in red) marks the issue as "in-house use".

The circulation history contains 3 tabs : "all", "checkout" and
"in-house use" (OPAC and intranet).

The cronjob script:
If AutomaticItemReturn if off, a library would like not to do a transit
operation manually. This script (to launch each night) do returns
for a specific branches.

Test plan:
1/ Execute the updatedatabase entry
2/ Enable the 'In-House Use' pref.
3/ Checkout a biblio for a patron and check the 'in-house use' checkbox.
4/ Check that the due date is the today date (with 23:59) and is not modifiable.
5/ Click on the check out button and check that the new check out
appears in the table bellow with the "(In-house use)" string.
6/ Go on the circulation history pages (readingrec and opac-readingrec)

7/ Check in.
8/ Check readingrec pages.

5466a5f4ce Bug 12677: Use Bootstrap "label" style for inline OPAC renewal messages
This patch revises the styling of the renewal success message to use a
default Bootstrap style more suited to inline messages. I think this is
preferable to using the alert style because the alert is designed to be
a block-level element.

http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/components.html#labels-badges

Because Koha's CSS already uses a "label" class for something else I
duplicate the Bootstrap "label" class in opac.css as "blabel." The
Bootstrap color definitions are included.

To test, follow the test plan already provided:

1) Apply this patch
2) From the OPAC, renew some items
3) Note the "Renewed!" message in the "Renew" column of the checkouts
   table

Patch works as expected.

c5602bf813 Bug 12428 - "OPAC info" is not displayed in the OPAC
The changes made by Bug 7720 ("Ambiguity in OPAC Details location")
broke the display of OPAC branch information tooltips by making changes
to the markup which the tooltip plugin needs to function.

This patch corrects the markup to enable tooltips to work again. This
patch also makes changes to Items.pm so that branch information tooltips
can be shown for both home and holding branches (which are optionally
displayed now via the changes by Bug 7720). Before this patch the
tooltip would always display the information for the holding branch
regardless of the OpacLocationBranchToDisplay setting.

This patch also changes the footer include, adding an alias for the
jQueryUI tooltip function to prevent conflict with Bootstrap's function
of the same name.

To test, you must have at least two libraries configured with "OPAC
info" for display in the OPAC.

Modify the holdings of a title so that there is at least one item which
has different holding and home branches matching your library configured
above.

View the detail page for that record under various values of the
OpacLocationBranchToDisplay system preference:

- "holding library" : The table of holdings should show a column for
only the holding library. Hovering your cursor over the library name
should display the branch information you configured for that library
  in a tooltip .

- "home and holding library" : The table of holdings should show columns
for both home and holding library. Hovering your cursor over each
should show the corresponding library information tooltips.

- "home library" : The table of holdings should show a column for
only the home library. Hovering your cursor over the library name
should display the branch information you configured for that library
  in a tooltip.

17cf2657ef Bug 11694: Improve handling of individual hold suspension in Bootstrap OPAC
This patch changes the way the controls to suspend and resume holds are
displayed on the OPAC for a logged-in user when using the Bootstrap
theme. Instead of showing all the suspend options in the table cell a
link will trigger a modal with the controls. This makes the table more
compact and readable.

The patch adds a span and class to the dateformat include so that the
dateformat hint can be hidden if JavaScript is enabled (and thus the
datepicker will use the correct format automatically).

A new class has been added to the CSS, ".js-show" to be used for
elements which should be hidden if JavaScript is disabled and made
visible by JavaScript if it is enabled.

To test you must have RequestOnOpac, SuspendHoldsOpac, and the bootstrap
theme enabled.

Apply the patch and test with AutoResumeSuspendedHolds enabled:

1. Log in to the OPAC and place a hold.
2. View the list of your holds in the OPAC.
3. Click the "Suspend" link for your new hold. A modal window should
appear allowing you to specify a suspend-until date.
4. Specify a suspend-until date. Test the "clear" link and confirm that
   it clears the date.
5. Specify a suspend-until date and submit.
6. Confirm that the hold has been suspended with the specified
   resumption date.
7. Click the "Resume" link on the suspended hold to resume.
8. Click the "Suspend" link again and submit without specifying a date.
9. Confirm that the hold has been suspended indefinitely.

Follow the same steps above with JavaScript disabled. The "suspend
until" options will appear inside the table as before and everything
should work correctly.

Test with AutoResumeSuspendedHolds disabled. No modal dialog should
appear when the "Suspend" link is clicked. The hold should simply be
suspended indefinitely.

Test again with JavaScript disabled. There should be no change in
functionality.

77c19db26f Bug 11142 - Update Bootstrap theme's place hold form to match the new version in prog
The update to the prog theme's place hold page (Bug 10836) happened
after the Bootstrap theme's place hold form had already been converted,
so it lags behind. This patch applies the changes made to prog to Bootstrap.

To test, switch to the Bootstrap theme and follow the test plan from Bug
10836:

Place single and multiple holds under various conditions:

- Items which are not available to be place on hold
- With OpacHoldNotes on and off
- With OPACItemHolds on and off
- With OPACAllowHoldDateInFuture on and off
- With IndependentBranches on and off
- With JavaScript disabled

Test setting hold notes, holding specific copies, and setting hold start
dates. When setting a hold start date and hold expiration date, the two
datepickers should work together to prevent invalid date combinations
(dates after today, expiration dates which precede the start date).

9d7d3085ec Bug 11060: (Bootstrap theme) fix incorrect rendering for right to left languages
The right-to-left CSS copied over from the prog theme does is not
relevant to the redesigned templates. This patch updates the OPAC's
right-to-left CSS and adds a couple of other right-to-left CSS files to
override the default Bootstrap and jQueryUI CSS.

To my eye this looks correct, but I don't speak Arabic.

To test you must have a set of right-to-left templates, like
ar-Arab, installed for the Bootstrap theme. At this time it is necessary
to download the po file to your misc/translator/po directory. Again
using ar-Arab as an example:

http://translate.koha-community.org/ar/314/ar-Arab-opac-bootstrap.po

Install the translation.

Open the OPAC, switch to that right-to-left language, and reload to

working.

eb92d94be1 Bug 10309 - New OPAC theme based on Bootstrap
The goal of this theme is to provide a fully-responsive OPAC which
offers a high level of functionality across multiple devices with varied
viewport sizes. Its style is based on the CCSR theme, with elements of
the Bootstrap framework providing default styling of buttons, menus,
modals, etc.

The Bootstrap grid is used everywhere, but Bootstrap's default
responsive breakpoints have been expanded to allow for better
flexibility for our needs.

All non-translation-depended files are in the root directory of this new
theme:

css, images, itemtypeimg, js, less, and lib. Languages.pm has been
modified to ignore the new directories when parsing the theme language
directories.

This theme introduces the use of LESS (http://lesscss.org/) to build
CSS. Three LESS files can be found in the "less" directory: mixins.less,
opac.less, and responsive.less. These three files are compiled into one
CSS file for production: opac.css. "Base" theme styles are found in
opac.less. A few "mixins" (http://lesscss.org/#-mixins) are found in
mixins.less. Any CSS which is conditional on specific media queries is
found in responsive.less.

At the template level some general sturctural changes have been made.
For the most part JavaScript is now at the end of each template as is
recommended for performance reasons. JavaScript formerly in
doc-head-close.inc is now in opac-bottom.inc.

In order to be able to maintain this structure and accommodate
page-specific scripts at the same time the use of BLOCK and PROCESS are
added. By default opac-bottom.inc will PROCESS a "jsinclude" block:

[% PROCESS jsinclude %]

Each page template in the theme must contain this block, even if it is
empty:

[% BLOCK jsinclude %][% END %]

Pages which require that page-specific JavaScript be inserted can add it
to the jsinclude block and it will appear correctly at the bottom of the
rendered page.

The same is true for page-specific CSS. Each page contains a cssinclude
block:

[% BLOCK cssinclude %][% END %]

...which is processed in doc-head-close.inc:

[% PROCESS cssinclude %]

Using these methods helps us maintain a strict separation of CSS links
and blocks (at the top of each page) and JavaScript (at the bottom). A
few exceptions are made for some JavaScript which must be processed
sooner: respond.js (https://github.com/scottjehl/Respond, conditionally
applied to Internet Explorer versions < 9 to allow for layout
responsiveness), the _() function required for JS translatability, and
Modernizr (http://modernizr.com/, a script which detects browser
features and allows us to conditionally load JavaScript based on
available features--or lack thereof).

Another new JavaScript dependency in this theme is enquire.js
(http://wicky.nillia.ms/enquire.js/), which lets us trigger JavaScript
events based on viewport size.

I have made an effort to re-indent the templates in a sane way,
eliminating trailing spaces and tabs. However, I have not wrapped lines
at a specific line length. In order to improve template legibility I
have also tried to insert comments indicating the origin of closing tags
like <div> or template directives like [% END %]:

</div> <!-- / .container-fluid -->

[% END # / IF ( OpacBrowseResults && busc ) %]

TESTING

Proper testing of this theme is no easy task: Every template has been
touched. Each page should work reasonable well at a variety of screen
dimensions. Pages should be tested under many conditions which are
controlled by toggling OPAC system preferences on and off. A variety of
devices, platforms, and browsers should be tested.
