Currently, if $ENV{DEBUG} is set (for example to 1), the debug level
will be printed on the Add/Edit Patron pages (memberentrygen.tt) in the
form of: "Debug is on (level 1)".
While many if not most folks might not set $ENV{DEBUG} on a production
system, there is no reason to have this information printing on the
member template(s).
No where else in Koha is there a template that prints $ENV{DEBUG}
information, with the exception of calendar.inc, although that doesn't
activate until at least debug level 2 or 5, so it might be worth holding
on to. It is certainly more complicated than simply printing the debug
level. I don't do development on the calendars, so I'm not going to
address that one.

As a result of accumulated changes to field names returned
by the members/default_messageprefs.pl service, the JavaScript
to change the patron messaging preferences to the category default
when changing a patron's category in the patron editor stopped
working.
To test:
[1] Turn on the EnhancedMessagingPreferences feature.
[2] Set message preference defaults for at least two
patron categories.
[3] Before applying the patch, create a new patron record
using one of the categories you set prefs for, then
change the category, then change it back again. You
will see that numeric settings like the number of days
for advanced notices will change, but checkboxes won't change.
[4] Apply the patch, then create a new patron record and
try changing the patron category. You will see that all of
the preferences will get updated to the category default
each time you change the category.

A typo in my patch for Bug 9265 (HTML5 switch) left an extra quotation
mark in a <script> tag on the patron entry form, causing JavaScript
code to be output as text instead of interpreted. This patch corrects
it.

the patron entry form. You should see no JavaScript on screen around
the 'Patron messaging preferences' fieldset.

This patch replaces the XHTML DOCTYPE with an HTML5 one. The HTML5
validator seems to be significantly different than the XHTML one,
so I'm seeing lots of new errors. This patch includes corrections

This patch revises the interface for displaying and editing
patron attributes so that it is consistent with other
similar interfaces.
Display of patron attributes should match the display of other
kinds of patron data, and codes should be omitted in favor of

forms and should also omit codes in favor of descriptions.

All instances of the old DynArch calendar have been replaced with
jQueryUI versions and the old library files have been removed.
calendar.inc has been modified to include jQueryUI localization
strings and global configuration options. Just add a "datepicker"
class to an input field to trigger a datepicker prompt.
If you would like two fields in one from to limit each other (one
is date from, one is date to), add these classes to each:
"datepickerfrom" and "datepickerto." This will prevent an invalid
entry, e.g. a date in the latter which falls before the former.
jQueryUI is now upgraded to the latest verision, 1.8.21.
Edit: Now with proper translatability, date formatting, first day
of the week handling, and RTL support.

This patch adds JavaScript to automatically hide the "Restricted
unil" form field on the patron entry form if "Restricted: No" is
selected. If "Restricted: Yes" is chosen the "Until:" field
is shown and focus is given to it.
The patch also adds a note, "(optional)" after the "Until:" field
to make it clearer that a date is not required.
To test, open a patron record and try moving the selection
between "Restricted: No" and "Restricted: Yes." Confirm that
the "Until:" field is shown and hidden as expected. Confirm
that the restricted flag is correctly set or unset upon save,

This fixes a bug caused by bug 6190 (removal of unwanted fields)
This adds the following IDs to the legends in the patron entry form:
main_address_lgd contact_lgd alt_address_lgd alt_contact_lgd
library_management_lgd library_setup_lgd opac_staff_login_lgd
patron_messaging_prefs_lgd
With these in place, then jquery like:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#main_address_lgd').text('Postal Address');
$('#alt_address_lgd').text('Residential Address');
});
in intranetuserjs can be used to rename things to taste.

This patch changes the password field to a password type input on
member-password.pl and adds a confirmation field to both member-password.pl
and memberentry.pl requiring that the password be re-entered to
confirm.
Client-side and server-side validation for the two password fields has been added
to both pages. Multiple error messages can now be displayed together on
member-password.pl.
If the user wishes for Koha to suggest a random password on member-password.pl
they can click a link which will remove the password-type input fields, replace
them with text-type fields, and automatically fill them with the random
password suggestion.

Some code coming from BibLibre has been lost in the process of inclusion in
3.4. The result is that fine in days does not work at all (you can setup rules,
but it does nothing)
Step to reproduce:
- Koha > Admin > circ rules > set 1 day fine every day of overdue for default
rule
- Issue a book return date last week
- check-in the book => no debarment is set
The following patch will fix all of those problems by :
* updating borrowers.debarred to a date field (instead of tinyint). It contains
the limit of the debarment
* changing API of DebarMember and UpdateBorrowerDebarred to pass a date
* display debarrdate where applicable. Note that a debarrdate of 31/12/9999 is
considered as unlimited and not displayed
* added a debarrcomment, usefull to explain why a patron is debarred (this is
independant from debarrdate changes and can be used when placing an unlimited
debarment too)
[2011-05-12] F. Demians. It works as described. And I can confirm this
functionality is impatiently awaited by French libraries since one year. Thanks
BibLibre for the good work and for contributing this code.

Thanks Katrin.
Bug 6328: make comment a textbox / fix debar by notice trigger
Debarring by notice triggers was broken, because the new function
expects a date as second parameter.

he still could not check-out.

to get a debardate if applicable
Note : this bug was appearing only is you had issuing rules defined for itemtype/categorycode/branch.
Seemed to work if you had only default rules. That's probably why it hadn't been spotted before

The labels for emails on the patron forms say 'primary' and
'secondary.' This patch does the same thing for the phones.
phone is now 'Primary phone', mobile is now 'Secondary phone',

does not matter and the phone that the patron wants to be called
at the most is the 'primary.'
