With this syspref enabled scanning a patron barcode into the item
barcode field during circulation will redirect you to the patron's
circulation page.
This allows circulation with only a barcode scanner.
Testing:
- Enable the AutoSwitchPatron syspref
- Navigate to a patron's check out screen
- Enter a patron barcode into the "Enter item barcode" field

We do not actually need 2 groups, the previous feature worked for both
OPAC and STAFF interface.
The only difference was the "show_in_pulldown" feature.
Here we are going to REMOVE this feature for ergonomic reasons. We will
already have 3 features and it will surcharge the interface to add
another one. Moreover the feature will have to be applied at the OPAC
(and so will add lot of JS checks to keep data consistent: only useful
if ft_search_groups_opac is set).
Moreover it is quite easy to remove entry from the dropdown list in
JavaScript.
If people was really using this feature, we will re-add it, just let us
know.

This patchset adds a new feature that will allow libraries inside a
single Koha installation to restrict access to information of patrons
that
The group of libraries feature is introduced by bug 15707, see this bug for more
information.
Let's imagine that 2 groups G1 and G2 are defined and that they include 2 libraries
each G1a, G1b and G2c, G2d: logged in users attached to G1a will only see patron's
information from G1a and G1b.
To add more flexibility, a new user permission named 'view_borrower_infos_from_any_libraries'
will drive this behavior. If set, the patron will be able to see patron's information
of any libraries.
If the restriction is set, the logged in user will not be able to search, show, edit,
delete patron's information of patrons attached to groups of libraries outside his
own group.
In situations we need to refer to a patron, for holds and checkouts for instance,
and his information cannot be viewed, a text "A patron from library G1A" will be
displayed.
Considered unecessary or outside the scope of this bug report:
* The report module is not affected by this feature for obvious reasons
* The firstname and surname of guarantors, basket (acq) managers, patrons linked
to orders are still displayed.
* Log viewer: Can only be staff
* patron list: you cannot add patrons from another group of librairies, but can
see/delete from list (too much rewrite, or we can test for patron one by one?).
* "Patron card creator" tool is not impacted by this feature.
* Upload patron images is not impacted by this patch, should it be?
* Tools:
- Upload patrons
- Clean borrowers tool (This can can done easily updating Koha::Patrons->search
with Koha::Patrons->search_limited in search_upcoming_membership_expires and
search_patrons_to_anonymise but we will need to move GetBorrowersToExpunge to
Koha::Patrons first)
We can discuss these different points but will be other bug reports not to add
more complexity to this first patchset.
Test plan:
You will find a test plan in the following commit messages.
Start by creating different group of libraries and patrons with and without the
new permission. Open different browser sessions to ease the tests.
Note that all patches have to be applied to test the different test plans.
Technical notes:
For QAers (and others) a techical note will be added to the commit messages of this
patchset. I would recommend you to read them one by one to understand the different
steps of this development.
+ Special attention should be payed to the REST api changes
+ Should we restrict the logged in user to libraries from his group when
he wants to set his library (Home › Circulation › Set library)?

Squashed the last four follow-ups into one patch. Instead of adding
two routines to Koha::MarcSubfieldStructures, and instead of moving
them to Koha::Util::Dbrev, we finally ended up with converting the
code to raw SQL queries (thx Jonathan). No need to 'pollute' the git
history with all this moving around.
As Jonathan pointed out, there is a risk in using DBIx calls (with Koha
objects) while running database revisions. See also bug 17292 and
bug 19789.
I tested the resulting db revision by adding a few fields to the Default
framework and adding deviating kohafields in other frameworks. And confirm
that it works as expected.
Please read the remainder of this commit message in the light of the above:
===
The dbrev will use two new routines in MarcSubfieldStructures:
[1] get_kohafield_exceptions is used to report deviating kohafields in
the additional frameworks,
[2] sync_kohafield is used to reset kohafield in the other frameworks to
the mapping in Default.
Test plan:
Unit test and database revision:
[1] Run t/db_dependent/Koha/MarcSubfieldStructures.t
[2] Verify that your Default 100a is mapped to biblio.author. Go to another
framework and clear the mapping via mysql command line:
UPDATE marc_subfield_structure SET kohafield=NULL WHERE frameworkcode=[your_framework] AND tagfield='100' AND tagsubfield='a';
[3] Run the db revision. It should report that 100a was adjusted.
[4] Check in admin/marc_subfield_structure that your 100a is mapped to
biblio.author again in that framework.
Additional interface testing (ensuring that the changes on this report do
not interfere with multiple mappings):
[5] Make two mappings for copyrightdate: 260c and 264a. And make two
mappings for biblioitems.pages: 300a and say 300g. Toggle with some
field values in those fields in the cataloging editor and verify the
contents of biblio.copyrightdate and biblioitems.pages. The former
should contain one year (due to additional logic) and the latter should
contain A | B if both fields are filled.
Remove the mapping for 300g.
[6] Set AcqCreateItem to ordering or placing. Verify that you can still
add or receive an order as usual.
[7] Add a mapping for itemcallnumber to 952f (this should remove the one
for coded_location_qualifier). This is very unusual but serves well in
testing multiple mappings for items.
Add or receive an order (fill 952f and 952o) with same and/or different
values. Verify the contents of items.callnumber. (Check with regular
item editor; see note.)
Do a similar edit in the regular item editor.
Note: You should expect to see A | B in both 952f and 925o if both
fields are filled with a different value.
Set items.coded_location_qualifier back to 952f in koha2marclinks.
Note: When AcqCreateItem==ordering, you will not see A|B in the callno
field when adding an item on neworderempty.pl. But when you submit
the main form, addorder.pl is called. At that time an item is created
and you will see that A|B is in both fields (952f and 952o).

Bug 19096: (QA follow-up) Move two routines out of Koha::MSS
As requested by RM, this patch moves sync_kohafield and
get_kohafield_exceptions from Koha/MarcSubfieldStructures.pm.
At this moment they are only used in a database revision; it is not clear
if they may be of use later on.
In order to keep them in a module and not remove the unit tests, this
patch adds a Koha::Util module Dbrev.pm. It is now required in the atomic
update, but could be added in a use statement in updatedatabase.pl.

Bug 19096: Use raw SQL queries instead for the update DB entry
I strongly thing we must not use C4 or Koha subroutine in the update DB
process, only sql queries.
Especially not DBIC Schema files as they will change.
For instance the update DB 17.12.00.00X is using a specific Koha::Schema::RS::MSS
representing the current schema, but in X months/years, this schema will change
and the ->search we used may failed.

Since bug 17196, biblioitems.timestamp is not always updated after a
change in the MARC record.
We need to know the last modification time of the MARC record for some
features (like OAI-PMH parameters 'from' and 'until' for instance)
This patch only adds the missing column in biblio_metadata and
deletedbiblio_metadata
Test plan:
1. Run updatedatabase.pl
2. Verify that both tables have the new column, its value should be the
greatest timestamp value from the corresponding biblio and
biblioitems table entries
You can verify with the following SQL query:
SELECT b.biblionumber, b.timestamp as biblio_ts,
bi.timestamp as biblioitems_ts, m.timestamp as biblio_metadata_ts
FROM biblio_metadata m
LEFT JOIN biblioitems bi ON (bi.biblionumber = m.biblionumber)

6/ Check the item out again
7/ Edit the item and mark it as lost (*)
8/ Check the item in

(*) There are 2 ways to mark an item lost:
- From the item list view (/catalogue/moredetail.pl?biblionumber=42)
If you set the lost status from this form, the issue will be returned
Maybe this should be optional (?)
- From the edit items form (/cataloguing/additem.pl?biblionumber=42)
It is the form you must use to not mark the issue returned.

This patchset prevents users to enter too leak password, controlled by
a new syspref RequireStrongPassword. If set the staff and patrons will have
to enter a strong password.
The strongness cannot be modified, it has been arbitrarily set (by the
author of this enhancement) to at least 1 lowercase, 1 uppercase and 1
digit. This can be inforce by increasing the value of the existing
minPasswordLength pref.
I decided to turn this feature on, it cannot hurt! For existing installs
it will have to be turned on manually.
Writing these patches I found a lot of inconsistencies all around the
password checks and decided to refactor everything to make things
consistent and more robust.
Now the password validity is check at only one place (subroutine
covered by tests).
Test plan:
We have several places where a password can be change/created:
a. Editing a patron (members/memberentry.pl)
b. Changing the password of a patron (members/member-password.pl)
c. Changing your own password at the opac (opac/opac-passwd.pl).
OpacPasswordChange needs to be set
d. Reseting your own password at the opac
(opac/opac-password-recovery.pl). OpacResetPassword needs to be set,
see "Forgot your password?" link when you are not logged in
e. Self registration feature, PatronSelfRegistration needs to be set.
You will also need to add 'password' to PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField.
Note that '****' is considered by Koha internally that the password is
not changed (existing behavior).
To fully test this patch you will need to test the different
combinations of RequireStrongPassword and minPasswordLength.

This adds a new basket attribute (create_items) that can optionally be
set to override AcqCreateItem.
The following have been modified to reflect this (with the value of
create_items that causes them to behave differently in parentheses):
* Cancelling receipt of an order (receiving)
* Creating an order by hand or from MARC (ordering)
* Receiving an order (receiving)
* Showing orders with uncertain price (ordering)
* Showing orders (receiving)
* Showing acquisition details in the OPAC (ordering)
Test plan:
1) Create baskets with "Create items when:" set to ordering,
receiving, cataloging and unset.
2) Test each of the above for each of these baskets, verifying that
the basket-specific attribute overrides AcqCreateItem if set and
falls back to the syspref otherwise.
NOTE: A check of AcqCreateItem in opac-detail.tt was removed because it
was redundant; the code path in question cannot be triggered unless
create_items/AcqCreateItems is set to the correct value anyway.

This patch adds a language selector menu to the top menu of staff client
similar to the OPAC.
Display of language selectors at top, bottom or both can be configured
with system preference StaffLangSelectorModer. It defaults to bottom.
To test:
- Apply patch
- Udate database
- Restart plack and memchached
- Go to staff client, verify that language selector displays at
the bottom of the page (as before)
- Go to system preferences, verify that there is a new preference
StaffLanguageSelectorMode (name similar to the sypref ror OPAC), and
that it is set to 'footer'
- Change mode for top, both and footer and verify, go to staff client
and verify for each that the language selector displays as appropriate

10988 added the ability to log into the OPAC authenticating with
Google Open ID Connect. This extends it, by allowing an
unregistered patron to have an account automatically created
with default category code and branch.
This is accomplished by adding 3 system preferences.
- GoogleOpenIDConnectAutoRegister
whether it will attempt to auto-register the patron.
- GoogleOpenIDConnectDefaultCategory
This category code will be used to create Google OpenID Connect patrons.
- GoogleOpenIDConnectDefaultBranch'
This branch code will be used to create Google OpenID Connect patrons.

In order to make the permissions easier, we will replace the columns
allow_add, allow_delete_own and allow_delete_other by two new columns
allow_change_from_owner and allow_change_from_others.
The distinction between adding or deleting an entry is no longer made.
If you have change permission, you can do both. Also deleting an entry
does no longer depend on who added the entry.
Formerly, the owner could always add entries. It is now possible to
make a list readonly.
We will not use the combination of owner=no and other=yes. This will
leave us three possibilities:
[1] owner=no, other=no: The list is read-only. No one can change
contents of the list. Naturally, the owner can edit permissions.
[2] owner=yes, other=no: Only the owner can change contents.
[3] owner=yes, other=yes: Anyone seeing the list can change contents.
This especially applies to shared lists and public lists.
The two database columns will be presented in the interface as one
permission field offering the three abovementioned options.

[1] Run the db rev.

This patch allows the user to use a CSV export profile to create the fields to export the basket as CSV in a basket page.
Test plan:
1) Apply the patch
2) Go to Tools › CSV export profiles and create a profile of type "SQL for basket export in acquisition"
example:
biblionumber=biblio.biblionumber|auteur=biblio.author|titre=biblio.title|date=biblioitems.copyrightdate|editeur=biblioitems.publishercode|isbn=biblioitems.isbn|quantite=aqorders.quantity|prix=aqorders.rrp|panier=aqorders.basketno
3) In acquisition module, create a new basket and add an order to the basket
4) On basket detail page, there should be the split button labelled "Export to CSV"
5) Try to use the button and export CSV with your CSV profile you defined in step 2
6) Validate the CSV file.
7) Repeat 4-6 with a closed basket.
a) close the basket
b) View the basket
c) validate that there is an export button
d) test it with an export
8) prove t/db_dependent/Acquisition/GetBasketAsCSV.t t/db_dependent/Koha/CsvProfiles.t

This whole patch set adds the ability to translate notices in different
languages.
That way, if a library has patrons from different countries, they will
not have to send the notices in only one language but they will be able to
translate them.
Test plan:
- Switch on TranslateNotices
- Translate the interface in different languages
- Edit patron's details
=> You should see a new "prefered language" entry
That language will be used to send notices to this patron
- Edit several notice templates
=> You should see different tabs, 1 tab per language translated at the
opac (which sounds to make sense)
- Now the notice generated for this patron should be the one translated
in the language picked for him
To confirm that, try to generate several notices for this patron.
If the notice is not translated, the default one should be used.

the new pref is not strictly needed at upgrade time (pref still zero).

This patch makes koha automatically set expiration date when reserves become
waitting. Also it adds a new syspref "ExcludeHolidaysFromMaxPickUpDelay" that allows to
take holidays into account while calculating expiration date.
Test plan:
- Install this patch and run updatedatabase.pl script,
- allow ExpireReservesMaxPickUpDelay in system preferences,
- set ReservesMaxPickUpDelay to 5.
- Place an hold on a checked out item and check in this item:
The hold's expiration date should be today + 5.
- Allow ExcludeHolidaysFromMaxPickUpDelay in system preferences,
- add holiday during this pickup delay period,
- Create a new hold and make it comes waitting:
The hold's expiration date should be today + 5 + number of closed
day(s).
Also:
- Check that ExpireReservesOnHolidays syspref works again
without ExcludeHolidaysFromMaxPickUpDelay.
- Check that cancel fees apply again if wanted.

- If items are included in the records, their timestamps are taken into
account everywhere so that whichever is the most recent (timestamp of
biblioitem or any of its items) is considered the record's timestamp.
- Fixed OAI.xslt to show correct record range.
- Incorporated extended tests from Bug 17493 and their tweaks from Bug 15108.

This patch adds a new circulation rule (no_auto_renewal_after_hard_limit) to block/allow
auto renewals after a given date.
The idea is to stop renewals at a given date. That way the library will have
time to send overdues and get the books back before the students do on holiday.
Test plan:
0/ Execute the update DB entry
1/ Define a rule with no_auto_renewal_after_hard_limit set to tomorrow
2/ Modify the issues.issuedate, to simulate a checkout in the past:
UPDATE issues
SET issuedate = "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss"
WHERE itemnumber = YOUR_ITEMNUMBER;
with issuedate = 2 days before for instance
3/ Execute the automatic renewals cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl)
Confirm that the issue has been renewed
4/ Modify the no_auto_renewal_after_hard_limit and set it to yesterday
5/ Execute the automatic renewals cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl)
Confirm that the issue has not been renewed

This patch adds a "Note" input field to checked out items in the "your summary"
section. The field allows patrons to write notes about the item checked out,
such as "this DVD is scratched", "the binding was torn", etc. The note will be
emailed to the library and displayed on item check in.
Patch adds two fields to the "issues" table - "note" and "notedate".
Patch adds syspref "AllowIssueNotes" - default off.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Update database
3) Rebuild schema
4) Turn on 'AllowIssueNote' syspref
5) Check out three different items to a borrower (may be easiest to check
out to yourself)
6) Log in as that borrower (or yourself) on the OPAC side and go to your
summary
7) Confirm text field shows under Note column for all checkouts. Set a
note for each issue, confirm all save.
8) Check the message_queue in mysql for the entries for ALL THREE issue
notes.
9) Disable javascript in your browser
10) Refresh your summary page. Confirm that you can no longer edit the
notes in the text field. Click the 'Create/edit note' button and confirm
you are redirected to a new page.
11) Confirm that the correct title and author show for the note button
you clicked.
12) Set the note and click Submit -> confirm you are redirected
back to summary page and note is saved
13) Confirm there is a new entry in message_queue
14) Enable javascript and go back to the your checkouts page in the
staff client for the borrower you issued the items to
15) Check in TWO items
16) Confirm that the issue notes show under the "Date due" column for
the two items you checked in, and are accurate to the item (i.e. the
right issue note under the right item)
17) Go to circ/returns.pl and check in the final item using the barcode.
Confirm the issue note shows and the date is formatted correctly.

The new preference is: Upload_PurgeTemporaryFiles_Days.
It controls if the cron job will delete temporary uploaded files and if so,
how many days should have passed before doing so.
Since the default value is empty, it will not start deleting these uploads
until you change the pref. No behavior change. But the dbrev will print a
message if you already have temporary uploads.
