Upgrade jQuery in the OPAC.
To test: Try any JavaScript-dependent interaction
you can think of in the OPAC and watch for errors.
Revision updates the one syntax I've found so far in testing
which requires an update. Where we used to do this to
uncheck a checkbox:
$(foo).attr("checked","");
We should now use:
$(foo).removeAttr("checked");
As far as I can tell the old way will not generate an error
but neither will it work.

This patch add the javascript library, a CSS (and image files from
datatables.net) and another javascript file which provides some extra
features.
It also add a Perl module C4::Utils::Datatables which provides helpful
functions for server-side processing

Columns on the summary table are shown or hidden based on a
variety of different settings, leading to convoluted if/else
template constructions if we want to define header sorting
in the <script> block. Using the jQuery Metadata plugin
allows us to specify sorting options as classes on the
table header. This adds a dependency but simplifies the
template markup significantly.
I recommend continuing to specify header sort options in the
<script> block in cases where it is relatively simple to do
so and saving inclusion of the additional jQuery plugin for
pages which really need it.
Other changes: Moved common sorter configuration detalis to
default declaration; Moved the date due column so that it
could be set as the default sort without taking into account
multiple disappearing columns (default sort cannot be set
in the markup for a <th>).

Disabling that part of the calendar JavaScript which hides
<select> form fields when the calendar is displayed. This is at
the expense of IE6.

The OPAC Cart tooltip ("Your cart is empty," "1 item(s) added to your
Cart") currently uses a jQuery plugin to generate a drop shadow.
This works cross-browser, but has a high failure rate with regard
to hiding the shadow consistently, resulting in an orphan shadow
after the tooltip has been hidden. I propose to instead use the
new CSS3 property "box-shadow" (-moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-
shadow for FireFox and Safari/Chrome). Currently Internet Explorer
does not support this property. I think this is an
acceptable tradeoff for more stable functionality.

This adds to the interface and code the ability to set the reserve date when
requesting a hold.
Resubmit. Sorry, I formatted it from the wrong branch.

Reimplemented using jquery, added OSS plugin to both interfaces. This is
another case where having a /common directory used by both OPAC and STAFF
would increase runtime efficiency and cut development time.
Removed unused variables.
I changed the OPAC .term color to match the staff interface, rather than being a
second shade of blue. The highlight/unhighlight link is currently a bit bolder
than its neighbors, but my styling choices are provisional. I expect the final
tweaking of CSS to come from another more capable designer, like Owen.
Note this patch may rely on previously submitted "Search.pm minor cleanup" patch.
