commit 871b91af00871146eb1216ebf5ce673dda2c5925

Hard Due Dates dev part 3: implementing the due dates in circ
CalcDateDue now calls GetLoanLength, rather than each invocation running separately one after another. Therefore, instead of
the 'loanlength' param, CalcDateDue now takes 'itype', and uses the info to get both the issuelength and the hardduedate info (if it exists)
Global Due Date no longer populates in the sticky due date field in Circ, since it can't be determined before the item is scanned. Any specified
due date still overrides the circulation rules, if allowed.
Hard Due Dates in the past will return an error message, but can be manually specified if truly desired.
Also, a small fix to updatedatabase.pl to allow the old data to populate if possible.

commit 76e3e3d86a7a54c6ce4253e7f68278b4dc75a0bb
Author: Ian Walls <ian.walls@bywatersolutions.com>

HardDueDates dev part 1: database changes
Adds two new columns to issuingrules, a hardduedate and a hardduedatecompare. If globalduedate is set, use that as the universal value
for all circ rules. Else, if ceilingduedate is set, use that as the universal value. Adjust the comparison accordingly (-1 before, 0
exact, 1 after). the old system preferences globalDueDate and ceilingDueDate are then removed.

When XSLT is enabled, the subject tracings on the details view (both OPAC and
Intranet) previously only searched on the subfield 'a'. In addition, searches
failed when the tracing included parentheses, and the XSLT display did not
include subfields other than abcdvxyz, even for those 6xx tags that have other
subfields.
This patch adds a syspref: TraceSubjectSubdivisons. When
TraceSubjectSubdivisions is set to "Don't include" (default), the subject
tracings in the XSLT details view will only search on subfield 'a'. When
TraceSubjectSubdivisions is set to "Include", the subject tracings will search
on all subfields, not just subfield 'a'.

This patch adds the syspref TraceCompleteSubfields. When TraceCompleteSubfields
is set to "force," clicking on links in non-authority controlled subject
tracings will only find other records where the entire subfields match. Leaving
it at "don't force" keeps the current behavior of doing a keyword search of the
subject indexes.
This patch implements complete-subfield subject tracings in MARC21 XSLTs (OPAC
and Staff) and all Normal mode interfaces. UNIMARC XSLTs have not been updated.
This patch also adds the syspref UseAuthoritiesForTracings. When set to "Do not"
tracings in the XSLT detail displays will never generate links using authority
numbers, but rather use the heading strings (NB: the tracings currently use only
subfield 'a' for generating links).

This patch adds two sysprefs to allow libraries more fine-grained control over
when fines can and can't be overridden. The two sysprefs are:
* AllFinesNeedOverride - when this syspref is set to "Require" (default) any
fine will require a staffmember to override the fine in order to check out a
book. When set to "Don't require," fines below noissuescharge will not need
any override.
* AllowFineOverride - when this syspref is set to "Allow," staff will be able to
override fines that are above noissuescharge. When set to "Don't allow"
(default), staff will not be able to check out items to patrons with fines
greater than noissuescharge.

Reimplements Paul Poulain's original OPAC Privacy patch, with some minor improvements and changes to wording
If the library enables the OPACPrivacy system preference along with the opacreadinghistory preference, and sets
an AnonymousPatron (must be a valid patron number in the database), the user will see a new tab upon login to
the OPAC, My Privacy. From there, the user can:
- Set their OPAC Privacy to one of three values
0 - Forever. This keeps their reading history unless they explicitly delete it; the bulk anonymiser won't touch it
1 - Default. Keep reading history until either they delete it or the library does
2 - Never. Instantly anonymises reading history upon item return
- Instantly delete their reading history
There is a warning and a popup to confirm. I've removed Paul's extra confirm checkbox, which seemed redundant
A note of which preference the patron has selected is added to the Patorn Details page in the staff client. This is read-only.
This patch also consolidates Privacy system preferences into the Privacy section of the OPAC tab.

Modified overdue_notices.pl to support output of html for printing.
The -html option will e-mail notices to those with e-mail, and output
html to print for borrowers without e-mail.
When system preference PrintNoticesMaxLines is set to a positive
integer, it will limit the number of items on the notice to that
number, and append a message to the end telling the borrower to
check his or her account for the full listing of items. This only
affects print notices, not emailed ones.
Mandatory SQL:
INSERT INTO `systempreferences`
( `variable` , `value` , `options` , `explanation` , `type` ) i
VALUES ( 'PrintNoticesMaxLines', '0', '', i
'If greater than 0, sets the maximum number of lines an overdue notice will print. If the number of items is greater than this number, the notice will end with a warning asking the borrower to check their online account for a full list of overdue items.',
'Integer' );

Bug 3730 - Wrong ISO 639-2 Language Code for Portuguese in database
http://bugs.koha.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=3730
For 3.0.x head of the Git branch, the ISO 639-2 Language Code for
Portuguese in Koha database is wrong.
Specifically, in the table "language_rfc4646_to_iso639", when the
field "rfc4646_subtag" has the value "pt", the field "iso639_2_code"
should have the value of "por" and NOT the current one of "pol"
("pol" refers to "Polish" as correctly also appears for the code "pl",
in the row above the "pt" one).
In my test setups, this showed some serious sequences for people
that choose the Portuguese language in the Web Installer, namely:
- very weird look of Staff client with missing Header and Footer,
that renders the Staff client unusable
- Portuguese translation apparently not getting updated for the OPAC
(for people that do an Upgrade from a previous version)
This patch is for the 3.0.x branch (I tested it with that branch).
For the master branch, I don't have a database setup to create and
test a similar patch but Chris Cormack nicely volunteered to do that.
Thanks Chris!

Some small, single-branch corporate and special libraries use unattended self-checkout stations, and would like to automate the staff login, so that just going to the sco/sco-main.pl URL would bring the self-check up ready for patron use. This patch create three sysprefs, AutoSelfCheckAllowed, and AutoSelfCheckID/AutoSelfCheckPass. If the site wants to allow automated login, staff would then need to create the selfcheck user record and enter that login ID and password into the sysprefs. The kohaclone/opac/sco/sco-main.pl script has been modified to check these sysprefs and pass values (if present and allowed) into the self-check URL. The URL then bypasses the staff login page and comes up ready for checkout, waiting for the first patron barcode.

In the current OPAC, there is no easy way to search a particular library.
By default, a user searches all libraries, or with SearcMyLibraryFirst turn on,
the user's home library. In dev_week, a library pulldown menu existed in the search masthead.
This commit adds the option to bring that pulldown menu back
by turning on the system preference OpacAddMastheadLibraryPulldown
This feature is designed to manage collections of items that move
from library to library periodically. Koha can already track who *has*
and item, and who *owns* and item, but not who *should have* an item.
That is the issue this feature addresses.
It allows a persion to create a collection, and add any number of items
to that collection. The collection can then be transferred from library
to library. If an item shows up at a library that does not currently
'hold' that collection, Koha will ask you to transfer it to the library
that does currently 'hold it. In that way, one can even transfer
collections where some of the items are currently checked out. As soon
as they make it back to a library, they will get transferred to the
current library holding that collection.
The feature consists of 4 main pages.
'Home' Page: The landing page, lists collections and provides access to
the rest of the tools.
Access is via the Tools page.
Edit Collections: Add/Delete new rotating collections
Add/Remove Items: Add/Remove items from a given collection
Transfer Collection: Set the current 'holder' of a given collection.
Librarian access is controlled by 'CAN_user_tools_rotating_collections'
Added a syspref to decide what should be displayed by default (holdings
or serial collections)

subscription)

This system is indended to replace the old opacnotes
and borrowernotes fields in the borrowers table.
This system allows an unlimited number of Libraran and OPAC notes to be
attached to a borrower. Each note has a message, a message type,
the data it was created, and which library created it.
Each message can only be deleted by the library that created it unless the syspref
AllowAllMessageDeletion has been set.
This system may be used simultaneously with the old notes system and does not affect it in any way.
A new database table (messages) was added for this feature.
The System also allows for pre-defined notes for Borrower records
To use these, just create authorised values with the category BOR_NOTES
where the Authorized Value is the short description shown in the pulldown,
and the description is the text that should be in the note.

Allows temporary locations corresponding to 'in processing' and 'shelving'
so that newly-created items, and newly-returned items do not show
immediately as a available. Three new system preferences govern the usage
of these features.
NewItemsDefaultLocation. If system pref NewItemsDefaultLocation is set to a location code,
all newly catalogued items will be set to the location set in this preference.
Location code must be a valid LOC authorized value type.
InProcessingToShelvingCart. if the system pref InProcessingToShelvingCart is turned on,
any items run through returns.pl with a location code for 'PROC', will be modified to
have a new location code of 'CART'.
ReturnToShelvingCart. If the syspref ReturnToShelvingCart is turned on,
all items returned other than confirmed holds will have a new location code of 'CART'.
Any item issued is automatically taken of the shelving cart.
Adds a cron script shelf_to_cart.pl which should be run hourly.
Updates all items with a location of CART to the item's permanent location.
The original location code is stored in the new items column 'permanent_location'.

The AWSPrivateKey syspref is describe more fully
in a previous commit, but to summarize, it should
contain the Amazon Web Services Secret Access Key
required by Amazon to sign requests to their
Product Advertising API.
Signed-off-by: Galen Charlton <gmcharlt@gmail.com>
After 2009-08-15, Amazon Web Services will expect that
all requests to the Product Advertising API, which is what
Koha uses for retrieving reviews and other enhanced content
from Amazon, include signatures. This patch and
subsequenct patches implement this functionality.
What this means in practice (assuming the user has elected
to use any enhanced content from Amazon) is that
[1] The user must get a Amazon Secret Access Key. This can
be done by logging in to the user's AWS account
at (e.g.) http://aws.amazon.com/, going to the 'Access Identifiers'
page, and from there retrieving and/or creating a new Secret
Access Key.
[2] The contents of the Secret Access Key should then be
entered into the new AWSPrivateKey system preference.
Once that is done, grabbing reviews and table of contents from Amazon
should work as normal. If the user doesn't do this before 2009-08-15,
reviews and TOCs will no longer be supplied from Amazon, although there
should be no crashes - the content will simply not show up.
Note that the requirement to sign requests does *NOT* appear to apply
to simply displaying book covers from Amazon.

This patch removes the system preference from new installations.
No db revision is supplied to remove the system pref from existing installations.
It is recommended for administrators to use the scripts provided in the misc/ directory
to ensure that their system preferences are in sync with those used in code.
Admins should remove this preference from existing installations manually.

This patch resolves a number of problems related to Enhanced Content:
1. Previously, there was no syspref for controlling whether or not to display
Amazon.com cover images apart from other content. This had the side effect
of preventing use of amazon.com content alongside use of another provider's
images. This patch introduces AmazonCoverImages and OPACAmazonCoverImages,
and changes the name of AmazonContent to AmazonEnabled.
So, for instance, you can now enable OPACAmazonSimilarItems yet utilize
SyndeticsCoverImages for displaying those similar items.
NOTE TO DOCUMENTATION TEAM: please update references to AmazonContent
and OPACAmazonContent to comply with the above.
2. Fixes some semantically incorrect uses of AmazonContent (now OPACAmazonEnabled)
on the OPAC side.
3. Resolves once and for all, the normalization of ISBN,UPC,EAN and OCLC numbers
for all enhanced content elements; These elements can be normalized using the
new functions in C4::Koha; I've replaced use of the various previously used
variables $xisbn,$norm_isbn,$clean_isbn, etc with $isbn, and the template
variable normalized_isbn.
We finally have a single, consistant place to retrieve normalize values for
these fields given a particular record.
4. Adds Syndetics attribution statements to display of all Syndetics content
'enhanced content provide by Syndetics' or 'Enhanced Description from Syndetics'
5. Adds an option to view the large cover image on the detail page on the OPAC
when using SyndeticsCoverImages; this option is controlled by a new system
preference: SyndeticsCoverImageSize which has two values: MC (medium) LC (large)
6. Adds UPC and OCLC numbers for Syndetics enhanced content queries especially
helpful for finding enhanced content for DVD and Music materials
7. Adds capability to display Syndetics images to opac-user for checkouts and overdues
8. Updates to systempreferences.sql, and updatedatabase.pl database revision 015

Two new subpermissions of circulate were added:

- override_renewals
Also, the following schema alterations were made
- permissions.code : varchar(30) => varchar(64)
- user_permissions.code : varchar(30) => varchar(64)
(The reason for this was because "circulate_remaining_permissions"
was greater than 30 characters long and wouldn't fit.)

The intranetuserjs syspref allows a Koha administrator
to insert arbitrary JavaScript into the staff page header.
Now that this syspref is functional again, this patch
changes the installation scripts so that the default
value is blank - any JavaScript we ship with Koha should
be in the templates, not in a syspref.
Documentation changes: none per se. However, I do want to
point out that the intranetuserjs syspref is a bit of a
dangerous one - enter a value with incorrect syntax, and
you could make it difficult to access the staff interface -
and should probably be marked as an advanced option.

From the bug report:
The serialsadditems syspref was ostensibly removed in DB rev 071
(http://git.koha.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=Koha;a=commit;h=5c41ae54e68866f9661e853376537059f4d83f70)
in favor of a new serialsadditems column in the subscription table.
However, this removal was incomplete. It is still created for new installations by:
installer/data/mysql/en/mandatory/sysprefs.sql
installer/data/mysql/fr-FR/1-Obligatoire/unimarc_standard_systemprefs.sql
and is used in
serials/serials-recieve.pl
serials/serials-edit.pl
admin/systempreferences.pl
Since the system preference was not removed from the sample data scripts, it
is necessary to add another DB rev to remove it - a user may have made a
fresh install of Koha after DB rev 071.

Corrected two errors found in the authority types used
in the MARC21 frameworks:
* one subfield that used "Meeting Name" instead of "MEETI_NAME"
* various subfields that used "CORP0_NAME" instead of "CORPO_NAME"
The biggest visible consequence of this change is that corporate
name headings (110, 610, 710, 810, etc.) will now link correctly
to their authority records.
In addition, brought the fr-FR MARC21 framework scripts up-to-date
with respect to the changes made to the English versions.

For documentation, please indicate that as part of profiling,
staff can refer to the AdvancedSearchTypes system preference to
choose where to draw the advanced search 'Types' from. Currently
this is implemented as a choice, between itemtypes and ccodes,
but it's been designed to work with any authorised value so long
as an index exists for searching by that authorised value.
By default, and if this syspref doesn't exist, it will pull from
itemtypes as before.

Changed default mandatory and optional MARC21 frameworks
to ensure that all the subfields of 037, 100, 110, 111, 130,
240, 243, 400, 410, 411, 440, 584, and 760 are all either
ignored (tab = -1) or assigned to the same editing tab.
Most of these changes involve the subfield $9 in authority-controlled
fields, which for the affected 1xx, 2xx, and 4xx fields was assigned
to tab 6, not 1, 2, or 4. Because of this, any such field with a
$9 was effectively split, leading to record corruption.
This is part of the fix for bug 2017.

Added two tables and system preference to support
a new patron alternate ID and attributes feature.
A patron attribute (or extended patron attribute) is an
additional piece of information associated with a patron
record. Each attribute has a type that specifies
whether the attribute is repeatable, can serve as
a unique identifier, can take a password, and
whether it can be used to search for patron records
in the staff interface.
The list of attribute types is controlled by the
superlibrarian. Once an attribute type is defined,
values for that attribute can be added to the patron record
via the staff interface or the batch patron import.
Two uses of extended attributes are:
- defining additional unique identifiers, such as
a campus student ID number, a library staff
HR number, and so on. These IDs can be used
for searching or matching and overlaying records
during a batch import.
- additional statistical categories. For example,
a library could define an attribute type for
tracking the academic major of a student patron.
Any number of attributes of this sort could be
defined.
The extended attributes feature is completely optional. If
the new syspref, ExtendPatronAttributes, is OFF, the patron
attributes tables will be ignored; it will not be possible
to display, edit, search for, or match on extended
attributes.
The tables are:
[1] borrower_attribute_types - store attribute types
defined by the administrator.
- code
- description
- repeatable (whether a patron record can have
more than value of a given attribute type)
- unique_id (whether values of this type
must be unique within the database)
- opac_display (whether values of this type
can display in the patron details page in the OPAC)
- staff_searchable (whether values of this type
can be used to retrieve patron records in circulation)
- password_allowed (if set, staff patron editor will
allow a password to be associated with a value; this
is mostly a hook for functionality to be implemented
in the future.
- authorised_value_category (code of an authorised_value
category. If one is specified, the staff patron
editor will use a dropdown for setting values of this type)
[2] borrower_attributes - the actual attributes.
- code (attribute type code, FK)
- borrowernumber (link to patron, FK)
- attribute (the value)
- password (password associated with value)

First big commit in a project to add more granular
staff user permissions to Koha.
* Created two new database tables
permissions:
stores a list of defined permissions; each
permission is to be interpreted as a child
of a top-level permission defined in the
existing user flags. For example, Tools (bit 13)
now has a separate sub-permission for each
individual tool.
The columns are
module_bit = FK referencing userflags.bit
code = code, e.g., import_patrons
description = e.g., "Import patron data"
user_permissions:
stores a list of the specific permissions that
a staff user actually has. For example, if
staff user 123 has only the 'import_patrons' subpermission
of 'Tools' (module_bit = 13), that would be represented
by having (123, 13, 'import_patrons' in user_permissions.
user_permissions and borrowers.flags are now interpreted
as follows (assuming the CheckSpecificUserPermissions syspref
is ON):
* If the appropriate bit (e.g., bit 13 for Tools) is set
in borrowers.flags, the staff user can access all
Tools functions. There should be no rows in user_permissions
for that staff user and userflag bit combination.
* If the bit is not set in borrowers.flags, but one or
more rows are present in user_permissions for that
staff user and bit combination, the staff user can
access the specified sub-functions.
* If the bit is not set in borrower.flags and there are
no rows in user_permissions for that staff user and
bit combination, the user cannot access any of the functions.
Note that this means that if a staff user can access all
functions for a module (because the bit is set in borrowers.flags),
the user will automatically be able access any new subfunctions
added to permissions by a database update.
The columns are:
borrowernumber = FK referencing borrowers.borrowernumber
module_bit, code = FK referencing permissions
* Added a new system preference, CheckSpecificUserPermissions
If this system preference is ON, staff users can be assigned
specific permissions which will be respected during
authorization checks. If this system preference is OFF, the
current userflags semantics will continue to apply.
* Defined sub-permissions for Tools. The list of specific
tools permissions is now:
edit_news Write news for the OPAC and staff interfaces
label_creator Create printable labels and barcodes from catalog and patron data
edit_calendar Define days when the library is closed
moderate_comments Moderate patron comments
edit_notices Define notices
edit_notice_status_triggers Set notice/status triggers for overdue items
view_system_logs Browse the system logs
inventory Perform inventory (stocktaking) of your catalogue
stage_marc_import Stage MARC records into the reservoir
manage_staged_marc Manage staged MARC records, including completing and reversing imports
export_catalog Export bibliographic and holdings data
import_patrons Import patron data
delete_anonymize_patrons Delete old borrowers and anonymize circulation history (deletes borrower reading history)

As announced this past February, Amazon.com will no longer be
accepting web services requests to Amazon E-Commerce Service
(Amazon ECS) version 3.0 beginning on March 31, 2008.
This patch upgrades to Amazon.com's Associates Web Service 4.0
for the following components:
1. Amazon.com Locale support for: Canada, Germany, France, Japan,
UK, and US (see the new syspref called AmazonLocale)
2. Jacket Covers
3. Editorial Reviews
4. Customer Reviews
5. Amazon.com Similar Items
The following changes MUST be made to continue using Amazon.com
content:
1. Delete the system preference: AmazonDevKey (AmazonDevKeys used
with AmazonECS 3.0 are no longer valid)
2. Add the system preferences: AmazonLocale, AWSAccessKeyID
NOTE: steps 1, 2 are done by the web installer
3. Verify your AWSAccessKeyID:
You may already have an Access Key ID. You can access your Access
Key ID by going to http://aws.amazon.com, pointing to Your Web
Services Account, then clicking View Access Key Identifiers.
Depending on when you signed up for ECS 3.0, you may need to
re-register for an AWS account, which includes an Access Key ID.
4. Enter your AWSAccessKeyID in the Koha syspref called
AWSAccessKeyID
For complete details on the changes in Amazon.com Associates Web
Service 4.0, and the migration process, please see: http://tinyurl.com/ysorqy

* added $tabsysprefs{PatronsPerPage}="Patrons";
* Moved OPAC Features to OPAC in sysprefs
* removed experimental OPACXISBNAmazonSimilarItems and XISBNAmazonSimilarItems features
