Full test plan is posted on bug. Test plan for system preference:
1. Apply patch, clear cookies.
2. Go to "Cataloging."
3. Add new record, verify that basic editor is used.
4. Navigate to existing record, click on "Edit record", verify that
basic editor is used.
5. Inside basic editor, verify that no button appears to switch to the
advanced editor.
6. Enable the "EnableAdvancedCatalogingEditor" syspref.
7. Repeat above steps, should still go to basic editor, but button
should appear to switch to the advanced editor; click it.
8. Now, adding new records and editing existing records should go to
the advanced editor.

This is a follow-up for bug 13379.
items_search_fields.authorised_values_category is now a varchar(32) but
the updatedatabase.pl did not modify it (changed only on
kohastructure.sql)
Test plan:
SHOW CREATE TABLE items_search_fields
before and after this patch.
items_search_fields.authorised_values_category should be a varchar(32)

With MariaDB, I get the following error:
ERROR 1832 (HY000): Cannot change column 'av_id': used in a foreign key
constraint 'authorised_values_branches_ibfk_1'
The solution would be to remove the constraints, modify the columns and
finally reintroduce the foreign keys.

Bug 10020 has removed these columns, the should be removed from the
patron sample file.
Test plan:
Insert the files updated by this patch into a fresh DB, you shouldn't
get any error.

Before applying the patch, I was able to notice the error when loading the

Right now, Koha only charges fines at the end of a given charge period.
For example, let us assume a circulation rule has a charge period of one
week ( 7 days ) and a fine of $5. This means that an item can be overdue
for 6 days without accruing a fine. Koha should allow circulation rules
to be configured to place the charge at the start of the end of the
charge period so the library can decide when the fine should accrue.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) prove t/db_dependent/Circulation_Issuingrule.t
4) prove t/db_dependent/Circulation.t
5) prove t/db_dependent/Fines.t
6) Ensure you can still create/edit circulation rules
Edit: I removed the DBIx changes after a couple minutes fighting with them.
Will regenerate as usual in a RM followup / Tomas

- "Item" and not "Document" is the word used throughout Koha.
- Moved the updates to an atomic update
- changed searchcategory from varchar(20) to (80)
- cleanup
This allows to group certain item types in a category, to be displayed (and searched) as such in OPAC's advanced search. For example, you can group Reserve 2h and Reserve 12h into a Reserve category. The 2 and 12h types won't appear anymore.
This also allows to simply prevent an item type from displaying as a search option.
TEST PLAN
------------------
0) Back up database, so you can reset and retest easily. ;)
1) Apply the patch
2) Run Koha QA tool.
3) prove -v t/db_dependent/Koha.t
-- all tests should pass.
4) run ./installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl to add the
two columns to itemtypes
-- Does a meaningful message get printed?
Are the columns added?
"DESCRIBE itemtypes;" should list hideinopac and searchcategory.
5) You need to add a category to group your item types:
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Authorized values,
select DOCTYPECAT in the 'Show category:' dropdown
i) If you do not have a DOCTYPECAT category, create one.
b) Click button "New authorized value for DOCTYPECAT"
c) Enter
Authorized value: HARDWARE
Description : Hardware
Description (OPAC): Hardware
6) Group your items under that new category
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Item types, choose (at least)
two item types and for each:
- Click action/Edit on the right column
- Third row (below Description) is the Search category list box, select Hardware
- click Save changes at the bottom
7) Select at least one item to be hidden in the OPAC search
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Item types (again), choose a different item type:
- Click action/Edit
- Click the checkbox "Hide in OPAC" below the list of icons.
8) Go test your modifications
a) Go to OPAC/Adv search.
b) Validate that all items modified above (hidden or grouped) do not appear in Item type list
c) Validate that new item type Hardware does appear instead.
d) Select item Hardware, start Search.
) Validate returned items are the of the two types that were grouped into the Hardware category in step 4.

This patch adds a checkbox on Label creator
to use or not an oblique variant of main font
for title
Also fix font selection for title in case an
oblique variant is used.
To test:
Before patch
1) Go to Tools > Label creator
2) Create a new layout, default values but select
any 'Oblique' variant for main font and
'Biblio/Barcode' for layout type
3) Go to Manage batches, create a batch, add items,
export PDF, download
4) Check logs, you must find a line with
'ERROR in koha-conf.xml -- missing <font type="COO">'
for example if main font Courier-Oblique
5) Open PDF, title could be right but not using selected font
After patch
6) Apply the patch
7) Run updatedatabase.pl
8) Repeat 1-2, note new checkbox 'Oblique title',
default checked
9) Repeat export, no new warnings on log
10) Create a new layout or edit an existent one,
uncheck 'Oblique title', save, export again
Check PDF has non slanted title
Followed test plan, works as expected. (See comment #11).

The introduced syspref was defined before we added new guidelines
for them. This patch puts them in sync with current standards. It also
splits them into:
- A big on/off switch (BatchCheckouts)
- Patron category filter (BatchCheckoutsValidCategories)
The latter is expected to go away if we move this into a boolean column
on the 'categories' table, which seems a better approach. I'm filling a
new bug for this last comment.

fields from the 3 tables: borrowers, deletedborrowers and
borrower_modifications IF no data exist.
Test plan:
0/ Apply this patch and update the Koha::Schema

1/ Make sure the ethnicity has at least 1 entry
2/ Launch the updatedb entry and confirm you get a warning message and
the DB structure is not updated.
3/ truncate the ethnicity table and fill ethnicity (or ethnotes) for at least 1
row of the borrowers table.
4/ Launch the updatedb entry and confirm you get a warning message and
the DB structure is not updated.
5/ Make sure the ethnicity table is empty as well as the ethniciy and
the ethnotes fields of borrowers, deletedborrowers and

A closer look at this plugin revealed the same things as earlier:
[1] Since the click redirects to leader, the launcher is not used.
In this case no template file existed.
[2] Leader_video does not use Focus while leader does.
This patch removes 'all' traces of leader_video.
It includes a tiny db revision for those brave people using it. The only
behavior change for them is the focus change.
Test plan:
[1] Run the db revision.

A closer look at this plugin revealed the following:
[1] The leader_book builder redirects to leader.pl; the launcher code with
leader_book.tt is dead.
[2] A diff of the two templates showed that most changes are minimal and
irrelevant. Some updates to leader have not been incorporated into
the unused leader_book.
[3] Leader_book does not use Focus while leader does.
This patch removes all traces of leader_book :)
It includes a tiny db revision for those brave people using it. The only
behavior change for them is the focus change.

Currently, once a user is discharged, lifting the discharge debarment does
not allow the user to ask for a discharge again.
This patch adds the ability for a user to be discharged several times and to
keep an history of the discharges.
Test plan:
- As a user, ask for a discharge.
- As a librarian, allow the discharge.
- Check that the requested and validated dates appear on the discharge panel of the borrower in the admin interface.
- Lift the discharge debarment of the user.
- Check that you can repeat these steps and that the new discharges are added in the discharge panel of the borrower in the admin interface.
Please note that you will need to run misc/devel/update_dbix_class_files.pl after the SQL update.

There is a security issue in the self checkout module.
The user used to check items out must have the circulate =>
circulate_remaining_permissions permissions.
So even if a user does not have a login/password or a barcode he cans
access to the circulation module of the intranet.
Imagine if the sco patron used is a superlibrarian...
This patch set will change the behavior and adds a new permission to
access to the sco module (circulate => self_checkout).
This permission should be the only one defined for this patron.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Hopefully, this only works if both interfaces use the
same domains (but different ports).
Test plan:
0/ Does not apply this patch set
1/ Create a patron with the circulate => circulate_remaining_permissions
and some others. Note his userid/pwd (later 'sco/sco').
Turn on WebBasedSelfCheck and AutoSelfCheckAllowed
Fill the AutoSelfCheckID and AutoSelfCheckPass wich 'sco' and 'sco'
2/ Log you out from the OPAC and the intranet
3/ Go on the sco page
4/ Note that your are automatically logged in
5/ Go on the circulation module on the intranet side
6/ Oops
7/ Apply this patch
8/ Execute the updatedatabase
9/ Note that the sco user only has the new permission circulate =>
self_checkout, others have been removed
10/ Try to reproduce the issue, it should not access anything on the
intranet side
11/ Confirm that there is no regression in the sco module
