This patch updates jQueryUI assets in the staff interface with an
upgraded and trimmed version which includes only support for jQueryUI
autocomplete.
Global staff interface CSS has been modified to remove unused
jQueryUI-related styles and to accommodate the updated assets.
The patch also removes some unused jQueryUI image assets from the OPAC
templates.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff interface CSS. Test the
"Check out" form in the header to confirm that it still looks correct
and works correctly.

Under certain conditions, the jQuery term highlighter
can break and in the process make the "Highlight" /
"Unhighlight" button disappear altogether. This affects
catalog searches in both the OPAC and the Staff Client,
with UNIMARC-based instances affected the most as the
"Highlight" / "Unhighlight" button disappears if you
perform a specific OPAC search (see Test plan below).
This patch fixes that by upgrading the highlighter
plugin to its latest version for both the OPAC and
the Staff interface. Then, the changes from commit
2e4b574074 (Bug 5844) are applied to the plugin code.
Also, Koha uses "term" instead of "highlight" as the
class name for the <span> highlighting elements, so
the plugin code is modified for that aspect, too.
Finally, the plugin file is renamed to reflect the
version change (v3 -> v5) and all references to the
old filename in the Template files are updated.
Test plan:
0) In a UNIMARC instance, catalogue two books using
the titles given below (Title subfield = 200$a):
Book 1: Συλλογής των εν επιτομή τοῖς πάλαι γεωγραφηθέντων
Book 2: Επιτομή της ιστορίας των Βαλκανικών Πολέμων (1912-1913)
1) OpacHighlightedWords and StaffHighlightedWords
should both be set to "Highlight".
2) Search the OPAC for "επιτομή των" (without the
quotes). In the results page, notice that:
a) You get an Uncaught DOMException error in the
web browswer's JavaScript Console (press F12):
"Failed to execute 'splitText' on 'Text': The
offset 3 is larger than the Text node's length."
b) the "Highlight" / "Unhighlight" button vanishes
c) some search terms matches are not highlighted
(for example "των" in the 2nd Book)
3) Repeat the same search in the Staff interface.
In the results page, notice that:
a) You get an Uncaught DOMException error in the
web browswer's JavaScript Console (press F12):
"Failed to execute 'splitText' on 'Text': The
offset 3 is larger than the Text node's length."
b) Even though some terms are highlighted, the
button still says "Highlight"
c) some search terms matches are not highlighted
(for example "των" in the 2nd Book)
4) Apply this patch.
5) Repeat the searches (you may have to press CTRL-F5
to reload the JavaScript code). This time the
"Highlight" / "Unhighlight" button is displayed
in the OPAC, and all your search terms should be
highlighted in yellow. Toggling the highlight
should cause no problems, and there shouldn't be
any errors logged in your browser's Console.

The tool has not been updated and is no longer working with modern

It should either be rewritten/adjusted or removed. Given that we didn't

suggesting to remove it and redirect users to the koct FF plugin that

The bibliographic record's details page in the Staff interface
includes a 'Holdings' table at the bottom with information for
each item attached to the record. When activating the filters
in this table, there is no input field for the barcode column
but just bold text.
This broke in v22.11.00, the related commit being 018a981b9b
from Bug 29282 where two new hidden columns were added to that
table.
We can fix this by taking advantage of the existing code in
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/columns_settings.inc
(introduced by commit dfb7af91af from Bug 23307) which allows
us to create and hook our own custom columnsInit() function in
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/catalogue/detail.tt
to redraw the DataTable filters upon page load if a column is
marked as 'is_hidden: 1' in admin/columns_settings.yml, or if
a column is added/removed via the "⚙ Columns" button (both
are handled by the DataTables column-visibility.dt event).
Redrawing the filters via the above method also fixes the
issue described in Bug 32448.
Test plan:
1) Confirm the erratic DataTable behaviour outlined above
2) Apply this patch and reload all JS assets (hit CTRL-F5)
3) Confirm that you now see the correct input text field
for the 'Barcode' column
4) Confirm that you can search for barcodes or in any other
column successfully
5) Try toggling the visibility of the columns and making as
many search variations as possible -- it should all now
work without any glitches!
For extra credit ;-) you can also test the 'Other holdings'
table by setting the SeparateHoldings SysPref to 'Separate'.

This patch updates the jQuery Validation plugin in both the OPAC and
staff interface. This upgrade brings the plugin to the current latest
version (1.19.4) which includes compatibility fixes for the latest
version of jQuery.
To test, apply the patch and test various forms in the OPAC and staff
interface to confirm that validation is still working correctly.
In the OPAC:
- Patron self-registration: Required fields, password match
and complexity. Test also the "Forgot password" and "Change password"
interfaces.
In the staff interface, for example:
- Patrons -> Patron password change: Required fields, password match and
complexity.
- Administration -> Patron categories -> New category:
- Required fields
- One or the other enrollment period inputs
- Digits required in password expiration, age required, upper age
limit
- Numbers required in enrollment and hold fee.
- Administration -> Budgets -> New budget:
- Required fields
- End date must be after start date
- Administration -> Cities & towns: Required fields

This patch updates templates to include the new version of jQueryUI. It
removes some references to the now unused datepicker widget as well as
the jQuery timepicker addon.
Some minor JavaScript and style updates to fix issues resulting from the
upgrade.
To test, apply the patch and update the CSS in the staff interface AND
in the OPAC
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
IN THE OPAC:
- The OPAC only uses the tabs jQueryUI widget.
- View pages where tabs are used: Bibliographic details, user summary,
advanced search.
IN THE STAFF INTERFACE:
- The staff interface uses four jQueryUI widgets: accordion,
autocomplete, sortable, and tabs
- Test the accordion widget on two pages: Administration -> Table
settings and Patrons -> Patrons requesting modifications.
- Test autocomplete (requires PatronAutoComplete to be enabled) on
various pages. For example:
- From the "Check out" tab in the header search box.
- From the "Search patrons" tab in the header search box, e.g. from
the main Patrons page.
- Place hold -> Search patrons.
- Tools -> Patron lists -> Add patrons to list -> Patron search.
- Test sortable:
- Administration -> System preferences -> Language.
- With more than one language installed you should be able to
drag to re-order the enabled languages. Confirm that your change
is saved successfully.
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic framework -> MARC structure ->
Edit subfields on a tag with multiple subfields. You should be able
to drag to re-order the tabs at the top of the subfield constraints
edit page. Confirm that your changes are saved successfully.
- Cataloging -> New record. Test that you can re-order subfields
under a tag with multiple subfields and that your changes are
saved.
- Tabs: View various pages with tabs: Check out, bibliographic details,
basic MARC editor. They're everywhere.
Also confirm that the removal of the leftover datepicker doesn't affect
pages which use the calendar include: Test various pages which use
Flatpickr, e.g. check out, renew, reports, etc.

This patch upgrades the jstree plugin in the OPAC and the staff
interface. The old version had compatibility issues with the latest
jQuery.
Also changed: When viewing an authority record in the OPAC's MARC view,
clicking one of the hierarchy links should now open the MARC view again
rather than reverting to the normal view.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff interface and OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
To test you must have the AuthDisplayHierarchy system preference
enabled, and you must have some authorities data which can be displayed
as a hierarchy. From the test plan for Bug 8523:
"Create authority records with a hierarchy of see also fields (in
MARC21/NORMARC, you'll be using 5xx fields for this, with a subfield
$w = 'g' for broader terms and subfield $w = 'h' for narrower terms)"
- Perform an authority search in the OPAC which will return one of your
modified authority records.
- View the record.
- There should be an expanded tree menu at the top of the authority
information.
- Clicking the arrows in the tree should correctly expand
and collapse the nodes.
- Clicking the authority record link in the node should load that
record.
- Test also from the OPAC's MARC view of the authority record.
- Confirm that clicking an authority record link in the MARC view
opens the corresponding record in MARC view again.
- Perform the same tests in the staff interface.

This patch removes the jquery.checkboxes plugin from the staff client.
It also removes some leftover instances of the "checkboxed" class which
was used in some cases to enable the checkbox plugin on selected
elements.
To test, apply the patch and check that the jquery.checkboxes plugin no
longer exists in /intranet-tmpl/lib/jquery/plugins.
To test changes to the templates, confirm that "Check all" and "Check
none" links still work on these pages:
- The tags review page. See the test plan for Bug 26120.
- The inventory page. See the test plan for Bug 26150.
- The list contents page. See the test plan for Bug 26204.
The other modified templates contained the "checkboxed" class but it
served no purpose:
- Serials -> Serials collection
- Labels -> Edit label batch
- Patron cards -> Edit card batch
If you search the Koha codebase for instances of "checkboxed" the only
results should be from the OPAC (if Bug 26805 hasn't been applied) and
in Z39.50 templates where the class is still used by JavaScript.

When you click Unhighlight on the search results of a search in the staff client

two matching records.
2) Notice that the Ma in Material type: Book is highlighted.
3) Click Unhighlight, and notice that it has become terial type: Book

This patch upgrades DataTables and makes some style changes to the
default DataTables toolbar style. DataTables assets are now combined and
minified using their download customizer, bundling together these
elements:
- JSZip 2.5.0
- pdfmake 0.1.36
- DataTables 1.10.18
- Buttons 1.5.6
- Column visibility 1.5.6
- HTML5 export 1.5.6
- Print view 1.5.6
- FixedHeader 3.1.4
DataTables assets have been moved from lib/jquery/plugins to
lib/datatables. The global header and footer include files are updated
correspondingly.
This patch removes the custom "four_button" pagination configuration and
updates pages which used it to use the built-in "full" type instead.
This is done for the sake of consistency and upgradability. This change
touches a lot of files.
Table-specific CSS has been moved from staff-global.scss to a new
include, _tables.scss. A second common include, _mixins.scss has some
variable definitions used in both files.
Many images have been made obsolete by this change and have been
removed.
To test, apply the patch and regenerate the staff client CSS. View
various pages in the staff client with tables:
- Not formatted by DataTables:
- Reports -> Most circulated items
- Catalog -> Search results
- Formatted by DataTables without column configuration
- Acquisitions -> Vendor search
- Lists
- Formatted by DataTables with column configuration

This patch updates the patron permissions interface in order to
emphasize permission descriptions (which can be translated) over
permission code (which cannot).
The tree structure (and jQuery plugin) is removed, and permissions are
displayed in a table-like way. Sub-permissions are shown or hidden with
a link.
A free-text filter is added to the top for narrowing the list by
keyword.
Save and cancel buttons are now in a floating toolbar.
To test, apply the patch, regenerate the staff client CSS, and clear
your browser cache if necessary.
- Open the "Set permissions" page for any patron.
- Confirm that the filter works correctly to show only lines which
match your entry
- Note that the superlibrarian line stays visible all the time. This
is to make it clearer that sub-permissions cannot be selected if
superlibrarian is checked.
- Check the superlibrarain "hint" text for clarity.
- Test the show/hide controls.
- Test that checking a "parent" permission displays the
sub-permissions.
- Test that the toolbar with Save and Cancel floats when scrolling.
- Test that changing and saving permissions works correctly.

On comment bug 11088 comment 2, Owen explained the problem with the
fixFloat toolbar. Since we have a hidden div, the plugin does not manage
to place the toolbar correctly.
In order to make it work, this patch adds some changes to the plugin to
add the ability to define our own offset.
When the div is extended (+, filteraction_on), the offset should be
updated to move the toolbar. Same when the div is folded (-,
filteraction_off)

I have updated it just in case it fixed the issue.
I don't think there are big changes between our current version and this
one, so keep it up-to-date

This patch updates the staff client version of jQuery to 2.2.3. In order
to maintain compatibility with existing scripts, the jQuery migrate
plugin has also been added.
Included is the development version of the jQuery migrate plugin.
Developers could modify doc-head-close.inc to use this version if they
wanted to take advantage of its upgrade warning log.
To test, apply the patch and test JavaScript interactions everywhere in
the staff client.

When deleting quotes, the table is not regenerated and a JS error is
raised.
That is because we are not using an up-to-date plugin
Test plan:
Delete a quote and confirm you do not get a JS error

We need to upgrade the plugin to 1.10.10 and use the column visibility
module for Buttons.

* Extends login screen to pass along #hash
* Adds JSONP support to C4::Service
* Extends humanmsg to allow per-message classes
* Adds proper charset to results of svc/bib
Test plan:
1. C4/Auth.pm and .../intranet/.../auth.tt: verify that login/usage
works as expected, despite the change to pass on the fragment (...#blah)
from the URL.
2. C4/Service.pm and humanmsg.js: verify that editing system
preferences (the main user of these modules) works correctly despite
updates.
3. svc/bib: verify that records can be correctly downloaded with the
change of character set. This can be done in a Firebug/Chrome Devtools
console by running `$.get('/cgi-bin/koha/svc/bib/1')` and inspecting the
results (possibly replacing 1 with a different valid biblionumber).

The new Upload.pm, unit test and file-upload.js obsolete a number of
files, including an older jQuery plugin.
The test files progressbar.pl and progressbarsubmit.pl are outdated and
do not serve any purpose in this form. (Actually, we could argue if they
should be here or just be part of a debugging phase.)
Test plan:
[1] Git grep on file-progress, file-upload.inc, UploadedFile,
ajaxfileupload, ajaxFileUpload
UploadedFile: Only a reference to DBIx file is found
ajaxfileupload: Only release notes
[2] Upload a file with tools/upload and stage-marc-import.

Test plan:
- search the pref 'advsearch'
- without this patch, you get a 404 error for the image
- with this patch, you don't get the error but a wonderful image on the
right of the "multiple" pref

I tested many many pages with DataTables, taking special care to find
pages with different DataTables configurations. I found no errors in the
OPAC or staff client.
Tested thoroughly in Firefox (latest) on Windows 7.
Tested less thoroughly in Chrome (latest) on Windows 7.
Tested briefly in Internet Explorer 7 in Vista and Internet Explorer 8
and found no bugs which were related to the DataTables upgrade.

This patch moves the treeview plugin in the staff client from the
language-specific lib/jquery/plugins directory to the one outside the
theme directory.
To test, apply the patch and view the "Set permissions" page for a
patron. The list of permissions should display in an expandable list as
usual.

from 'prog' language specific directory to the global lib/plugins directory.

When a patron has many checked out items, circulation.pl can take a very
long time to load ( on the order of minutes in some cases ). This is
primarily due to the processing of the previous checkouts list. If we
convert to this table to a datatable that fetches its data via ajax, we
can make circulation.pl far more responsive. The same should be done
with relative's checkouts as well.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Observe that the checkouts and relatives' checkouts tables
are now loaded asynchronously
3) Observe and verify the renew and return actions are now
ajax based and function in a manner equivilent to how they
used to.
This bug had quite a few followups, so I squashed all of them into one
change so that code is easier to follow. Original commit messages are below:

This patch adds a try/catch to the Javascript for adding the iframe
element. The try will work for IE8 and older versions, while newer
versions and other browsers will be covered by the check.
Test Plan:
1) Try uploading a local cover image in IE9
2) Notice that your page is reloaded with no result (except the
pop-up of a Javascript error, if you have error reporting on in
your browser).
3) Apply the patch
4) Trying uploading a local cover image again
5) Notice that it uploads correctly
6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 for IE8, IE7, and/or other modern browsers.

from upstream.
