This patch updates serials templates so that fieldsets with the
"action" class are placed outside the form's main fieldset.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff interface CSS. Go to
serials and check the following pages to confirm that changes to
form structure look correct:
- Navigate directly to /cgi-bin/koha/serials/serials-search.pl
- Check the form on this page.
- Perform a subscription search. On the search results page, check
the sidebar form.
- Click "Manage numbering patterns" in the left-hand sidebar menu.

This patch updates three serials templates to replace tab markup with
the use of WRAPPERs.
To test requires more data than will be found in the sample data. You
need at least one subscription with issues spanning more than one year.
I suggest creating a new subscription which starts in December, then
receive one issue from December and one in January.
Apply the patch and go to Serials.
- Perform a subscription search.
- On the search results page there should be two tabs: "Open" and
"Closed." These tabs should work correctly.
- Open the detail view of one of your subscriptions.
- You should see at least four tabs: "Information," "Planning,"
"Issues," and "Summary."
- In some cases an "Acquisition details" tab will also appear. To test
this you must go to Acquisitions and add an order to a basket by
choosing "From a subscription" option.
- Click "Serial collection" in the left-hand sidebar.
- There should be tabs for each year of subscription issues in your
collection.

The idea rely on the KohaDates TT plugin for the date formatting. We
should not have any output_pref calls in pl or pm (there are some
exceptions, for ILSDI for instance).
Also flatpickr will deal with the places where dates are inputed. We
will pass the raw SQL value (what we call 'iso' in Koha::DateUtils), and
the controller will receive the same value, no need to additional
conversion.
Note that DBIC has the capability to auto-deflate DateTime objects,
which makes things way easier. We can either pass the value we receive
from the controller, or pass a DT object to our methods.

CheckMandatorySubfields use the class "input_marceditor" but in file
serials-edit.tt this class is not set for select input in Supplemental
issue form. In consequence if a select field is set as mandatory, it is
detected as missing even if it is filed and so you can't submit the form
and receive the new supplemantal issue.
Test plan:
1- Create (or find) a subscription for a biblio record and select the
option "Create an item record when receiving this serial"
2- Be sure to have at least one mandatory subfield that is filed with a
select input in the framework used by the biblio record. (ex: 952$a,
952$b or 952$c).
3- From the subscription-detail page click on "Receive"
4- In the lower part--Supplemental issue--fill the suppelemant details,
change the status to "Arrived" and fill the item form that appears.
5- Click on "Save"
6- Check that an error box appear with the message " Form not submitted
because of the following problem(s) 1 mandatory fields empty
(highlighted)" (the number can be different according to the number of
concerned subfields)
7- Apply the patch
8- Repeat step 3 to 5

This patch modifies the subscription entry form so that the values of
two system preferences are displayed as a hint to the user:
The "Number of issues to display to staff" field will show the value
of the StaffSerialIssueDisplayCount preference, and the "Number of

OPACSerialIssueDisplayCount. If the user has permission the system
preference names will link to the system preferences page.
To test, apply the patch and log into the staff interface as a user with
permission to edit system preferences.

- The "Number of issues to display to the public" field should have a

This patch modifies the subscription entry form so that it will perform
a check on the staffdisplaycount and opacdisplaycount fields before
proceding to the second step. It verifies that the values are numeric.
The changes are made in the style of the existing form validation, which
should be rewritten to either use the validation plugin or to peform
checks in a way that all checks are run before warning the user.
However, this smaller change will work in the meantime.

- Fill out the form with at least the required fields, but put something
other than a number if the "Number of issues to display to staff" and
"Number of issues to display to the public" with non-numeric characters.
- When you click the "Next" button you should get an error message,
"Number of issues to display to staff must be a number."
- Correct the issues to display to staff field and submit again.

to the public must be a number."

There are 2 prefs that control the default view of biblio detail pages:
IntranetBiblioDefaultView for staff and BiblioDefaultView for OPAC.
There are as well viewISBD, viewLabeledMARC and viewMARC to allow/don't
allow access to those page for staff members.
This code need to be in a single place to avoid discrepancy.
Test plan:
Play with BiblioDefaultView and IntranetBiblioDefaultView and confirm
that the links of biblio point to the correct view.

Enlarging the pop-ups will hide the scrollbars (at least the horizontal
one).
Test plan:
Search for patrons (when a new pop-up is opened) and confirm that the
pop-up is bigger than without this patch.

This patch removes the definition of translatable strings out of
templates and into the corresponding JavaScript file, using the new JS
i81n function.
To test:
- Apply the patch and go to Serials -> New subscription
- Click "Next" without filling out any fields. You should get two
confirmations, "If you wish to claim late or missing issues you must
link this subscription to a vendor. Click OK to ignore or Cancel to
return and enter a vendor" and "You must choose or create a
bibliographic record."
- Manually enter a vendor number which doesn't exist and click "Next."
Error: "The vendor does not exist."
- Manually enter a record number which doesn't exist and click "Next."
Error: "Bibliographic record does not exist!"
- Select a valid vendor and bibliographic record and proceed to the next
page.
- Click "Test prediction pattern" without filling in any fields. Error:
"Cannot test prediction pattern for the following reason(s): Frequency
is not defined. - First publication date is not defined"
- Click "Save subscription" without filling in any information. Error:
"You must choose a first publication date."
- Fill in a date and click "Save subscription." Error: "You must choose
a subscription length or an end date."
- Enter a frequency and subscription start date and click "Save
subscription." Error: "Please click on 'Test prediction pattern'
before saving subscription."
- Click "Show advanced pattern" and then "Save subscription." Error:
"You have modified the advanced prediction pattern. Please save your
work or cancel modifications."
Testing numbering patterns:
- There are several strings related to setting and editing numbering
patterns but I don't think they can be tested live while Bug 28012 is
unfixed.
Testing Mana integration:
- To test Mana integration you must have Mana enabled, and a
bibliographic record in your catalog which has an ISSN
matching a record in Mana. You can go to "Search on Mana"
from the Serials sidebar menu to locate a working record.
- Add a subscription using the bibliographic record which will match a
record in Mana. When you click "Next" you should see a message at the
top of the page saying, "Searching for subscription in Mana Knowledge
Base"
- After a moment this message should be replaced with "Subscription
found on Mana Knowledge Base: Show Mana results"
- Clicking the "Show Mana results" should trigger a modal window with
the heading "Results from Mana Knowledge Base."
- Test the subscription add process using a bibliographic record which
doesn't match anything in Mana. The message at the top of the page
should read, "No subscription found on Mana Knowledge Base"
TESTING TRANSLATABILITY
- Update a translation, e.g. fr-FR:
> cd misc/translator
> perl translate update fr-FR
- Open the corresponding .po file for JavaScript strings, e.g.
misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages-js.po
- Locate strings pulled from
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/js/subscription-add.js for translation,
e.g.:
msgid "Next issue publication date is not defined"
msgstr ""
- Edit the "msgstr" string however you want (it's just for testing).
- Install the updated translation:
> perl translate install fr-FR
- Switch to your newly translated language in the staff client
and repeat the test plan above. The translated strings should
appear.

On bug 29844 we decided to remove wantarray from Koha::Objects->search.
Reviewing the difference occurrences I found some unnecessary uses of ->as_list,
where iterators should be used instead.
This patch only removes the obvious places, not the tricky ones.

ID and a non-existent vendor ID. The non-existent vendor ID should
trigger a validation alert.

Since one of the patches of BZ 27526 (Bug 27526: Fix mandatory and
important checks), CheckMandatorySubfields use the class
"input_marceditor" but in file serials-edit.tt this class is not set for
all field (it is present on text input but not on select input) 5
9- Check that no error appear and that your item has been created.
In consequence if a select field is set as mandatory, it is detected as
missing even if it is filed and so you can't submit the form and receive
the new serial.
Test plan:
0- Be sure to be in a version of koha where the patch that introduces
the bug is present (it is present in master since Jul 8 2021 (it is
present in 21.06.00.046) and will be pushed in 21.11.00)
1- Create (or find) a subscription for a biblio record and select the
option "Create an item record when receiving this serial"
2- Be sure to have at least one mandatory subfield that is filed with a
select input in the framework used by the biblio record. (ex: 995$b,
995$c or 995$e in unimarc; 952$a, 952$b or 952$c in marc21)
3- From the subscription-detail page click on "Receive"
4- Change the status to "Arrived" and fill the item form that appears.
5- Click on "Save"
6- Check that an error box appear with the message " Form not submitted
because of the following problem(s) 1 mandatory fields empty
(highlighted)" (the number can be different according to the number of
concerned subfields)
7- Apply the patch
8- Repeat step 3 to 5
9- Check that no error appear and that your item has been created
