a24eda9914 Bug 9545 - Fix import MARC bibliographic framework text label
This patch improves the labeling of import controls on the
MARC frameworks page by making import options more explicit. Other
changes:

- Form markup fixed to match standard form constructions
- JavaScript corrected to make more embedded English strings
  translatable.
- Form labels made clickable by making "for" attributes match unique
  form field ids.
- Some warning re-worded for readability and translatability.
- Large "loading" icon replaced with more proportional smaller one.

To test, view the MARC frameworks page (admin/biblio_framework.pl) and
test Export and Import functionality. Clicking each should display a
form with options clearly labeled. Import and Export operations should
complete correctly.

67af102586 Bug 7253: fast cataloging not always checking out
When using fast cataloguing to create a biblio and item on the fly, workflow looses datas when a duplicate is detected.
This comes from the use of a mix of circborrowernumber and borrowernumber in forms.

This patch corrects by using always circborrowernumber in fast cataloguing workflow.
Also adds html and uri escape for barecode where necessery.

Test plan :
With duplicate :
- Go to a borrower circulation page
- Enter a non existing barcode
- Enter a due date
- Click on "Check Out"
=> a message says the barcode was not found
- Click on "Fast cataloguing"
=> The biblio edition page appears with fast cataloguing framework
- Fill mandatory fields by using an existing ISBN
- Click on "Save"
=> a yes/no message says "Duplicate record suspected"
(Choosing yes will brake fast caloguing workflow, in this case librarian should create an item and checkout again)
- Click on "No"
=> The item edition page appears with barcode already filled
- Fill mandatory datas
- Click on "Add item"
=> Borrower circulation page appears again, check that item has been checked out with the specified due date

You may test without duplicate

a4d1fd124b Bug 9471 - Use DataTables on serials claims page
Replace the tablesorter plugin with the DataTables plugin on the
serials claims page.

This patch replaces some custom table fitlering code with code which
uses DataTables' built-in table fitlering. A minor correction to markup
has also been made to properly align inputs in the filter form.

To test, run the serials claims report for a vendor with data which will
populate results. Confirm that table sorting works correctly. Confirm
also that filtering by title and branch works.

Works as advertised. I have compared side by side the both pages, with
tablesorter, and with DataTables. The both work. No regression. With
DataTables, no more sorting on Begin clam column, which is great. A new sort
option may be usefull on the Library column (wasn't the with tablesorter
neither).

2cf41d31ff Bug 9462 [Revised] Use DataTables on patron detail page
Replace the tablesorter plugin with the DataTables plugin on the
patron detail page.

To test, open a patron detail page for a patron who has checkouts,
holds, and relatives' checkouts. Confirm that table sorting works
correctly for each of those three tables.

Revision adds some JavaScript designed to handle table-sizing for tables
which are hidden initally in tabs. DataTables has an approved method for
handling these cases:
http://www.datatables.net/examples/api/tabs_and_scrolling.html

This should prevent the table of existing holds from looking squeezed.

33c4c574f3 Bug 9323 [Counter-proposal] Untranslatable string in serials search
The translator seems to have a problem with the _() function inside
HTML. Rather than move only the translatable string to the <script>
block, why not move all of the JavaScript to the <script> tag? This
keeps things a little more organized and lets us follow the guideline to
always use double quotes with _().

Same test plan as Jonathan's patch:

- translate update LANG
- Check in your po file that the string "Are you sure you want to

d68b8357d7 Bug 9283 - Change structure of export checkouts form
This patch changes the structure of the export checkouts form
so that it is a little more linear. This change moves generation of the
export options from JavaScript to the markup, eliminating an instance

715826b799 Bug 9034 [Follow-up] Add sorting and filtering on items table (catalogue/detail.pl)
This follow-up to the original patch offers an alternative method
to handle the width of the table and form fields:

- Reduce the font size of the filter input fields
- Make the filter inputs' width 100% instead of fixed
- Add "'bAutoWidth': false" to the datatables initialization

9912e38404 Bug 9556: fix setting messaging prefs when changing patron category
As a result of accumulated changes to field names returned
by the members/default_messageprefs.pl service, the JavaScript
to change the patron messaging preferences to the category default
when changing a patron's category in the patron editor stopped
working.

To test:

[1] Turn on the EnhancedMessagingPreferences feature.
[2] Set message preference defaults for at least two
    patron categories.
[3] Before applying the patch, create a new patron record
using one of the categories you set prefs for, then
change the category, then change it back again. You
will see that numeric settings like the number of days
for advanced notices will change, but checkboxes won't change.
[4] Apply the patch, then create a new patron record and
try changing the patron category. You will see that all of
the preferences will get updated to the category default
each time you change the category.

0839645894 Bug 9439 - Enforce superlibrarian mutual exclusivity of other permissions
Basically, when you check the checkbox for the superlibrarian permission
in the patron record, it will disable and uncheck all the other
permission checkboxes. When you uncheck the checkbox for the
superlibrarian permission, it will renable those boxes. There is also
some JS code there to ensure that the other boxes are disabled when
returning to the change permission screen (i.e. the patch is not just a
click handler).

In the event that the checkboxes for superlibrarian and other
permissions are already checked, the user will be shown a pop-up window
explaining that the superlibrarian permission is mutually exclusive to
the others (since it already includes the others) and that the
permissions for that patron will then be reset to just include the
superlibrarian permission.

4284cbf206 Bug 9526 - Patron statistics table is not pretty, needs circ toolbar
This patch adds the circ/members toolbar, corrects page title and

statistics you should see human-friendly labels for the columns

1b2132fb76 Bug 9382 - updating permission labels
first, replicate:
go to More -> permissions on any user. Notice that it says various things "privileges, flags, permissions" they are interchangeable and inconsistent.
also note that some of the permissions are nonsensical and/or not descriptive enough, or not using canonical terminology (borrowers instead of patrons, for example)

To test:
interface consistency changes

-> means "turns into"

- page title - privileges -> permissions
- breadcrumbs - privileges -> permissions
- headings - privileges -> permissions
- "set flags" button -> save

Permissions that have changed description:

- Catalogue changes to "Required for staff login" in bold (this was the original impetus for this boatload of changes)
- reports
- editauthorities
- management
- serials
- updatecharges
- circulate
- parameters
- borrowers
- tools
- staffaccess
- edit_patrons (only on updatedb, not on new db)

- Read through and make sure there are no typos, and that the descriptions seem to jive with what privileges the permission gives the user. Suggestions are, in fact, welcome.

- If you are feeling ambitious, go ahead and create a new, clean database and check the wording there as well - it should match what has been done in the db update.

3f2b5d270c Bug 9497 - Make it easier to add new encodings for Z39.50 servers and add ISO 8859-1
This patch does three things:
- Makes admin/z3950servers.pl create one variable for encoding,
not one variable for each encoding
- Makes the template create encoding options from a list
- Adds ISO 8859-1 to the list of available encodings
See the bug for a lengthier description

7be86cd481 Bug 9376: Problem with dateexpiry display in moremember.tt
There is a problem that brokens the interface of moremmeber when
displaying the date expiry when renewing a patron.
In the first comment I said that the line that causes the error
should be:

<span class="reregitryinfo">[% dateexpiry %]</span>

but the correct way should be:

<strong class="reregitryinfo">[% dateexpiry %]</strong>

This way the date expiry after renew a patron appears in bold.

Test plan:

- before applying the patch try to renew a patron and check
  that almost everything went bold
- apply the patch
- renew a patron and only the expiration date is bolder.
- Note that the bug doesn't manifest in master because
the patch for bug 6261 causes the invalid HTML to never
be reached; it *does* affect 3.10.x and earlier.

This patch moves untranslatable strings from ajax.js into the template
where they can be picked up by the translation script.

To test that preference-related error messages continue to work,
open the system preferences editor in two tabs. Log out in one tab and
try to save a system preference in the other. You should see correct
error messages.

To test that error strings are now translatable, run "perl translate update

8fd75227fc Bug 6261 [Revised] Consolidate patron toolbar include files
The staff client has two almost identical include files which
can be consolidated: circ-toolbar.inc and members-toolbar.inc.
This patch marges the slight differences between them and
eliminates circ-toolbar.inc, that being the one which was used
on fewer pages.

In order to accommodate the different "destination" variable
for operations which redirect back either to circ or patrons,
circulation.pl defines "destination" in the template.

Revision corrects a redirect error in setstatus.pl which
predates this patch but which never showed up until now.

To test, perform various operations from the toolbar on at least
two pages: circulation.pl and moremember.pl.

Operations: Edit, add child, duplicate, change password, print (all
options), search to hold, renew, set permissions, delete, update child
to adult, and export checked-in barcodes. In most cases simply
confirming that the link takes you to the right place is enough.

8857d4d728 Bug 9289 - Adjacent checkbox behavior broken on circulation.pl
This patch fixes the behavior of adjacent checkboxes in the list of
checkouts on circulation.pl. Checkboxes in both the "renew" and "check
in" columns should not be able to be checked at the same time.

A line was commented out (by me) which was necessary to this working
correctly. I'm guessing it was done in debugging and left by mistake.

To test, load a patron for checkout who has items checked out. You
should not be able to check boxes in both the "renew" and "check in"
columns in the same row, whether you click the checkbox itself or the
containing table cell.

7535f2bfa3 Revert "Bug 7167: New version for updatedatabase"
This reverts commit c9cb55ef47.

c9cb55ef47 Bug 7167: New version for updatedatabase
This patch use DataTable, see BUG|BZ 6836
      - css/datatables.css
      - lib/jquery/plugins/jquery.dataTables.min.js
      - js/datatables.js

http://bugs.koha-community.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7167

Bug 7167 follow-up

Major changes:
* creating database tables for update on the fly, the 1st time the update script is called
* version is checked on mainpage.pl (and here only). If syspref Version differ from kohaversion.pl, the old updatedatabase is launched. If there are updates missing from new mechanism, the updatedatabase page is reached
* kohaversion check on each page is now useless in Auth.pm, removed dead code
* Updated installer: at the end of the process, retrieve all updates and automatically mark them "OK", as they're included in installer

Minor changes:
* adding copyright
* adding poddoc
* updating a warning, for better clarity
* switching from $$var to $var->
* small TT glitch fixed in updatedatabase.tt
* about.pl now returns the Version systempreference PLUS all the patches that have been applied

Bug 7167 follow-up perlcritic & numbers display & partial apply depending on DEBUG

* add use strict to updatedatabase, that is now perlcritic compliant
* partial apply of DB revs is now managed by DEBUG env variable = if DEBUG=0, the user can just apply every DBrev. If DEBUG=1, we're in a dev env, the user know has the option to apply DBrevs one by one
Display:
* in updatedatabase, small spelling changes
* in about.pl, remove 0 just after . (3.06.01 is displayed as 3.6.1)
* improve the display of applied numbers on about.pl
 - before this patch, if you have N, N+1, N+2, N+3 and N+10 DB rev applied, about was displaying : , N+1 / N+2 / N+3 / N+10
 - after this patch you have N......N+3 / N+10
* add ORDER BY into list_versions_already_knows to have number retrieved in the same order whatever the order they are applied

Bug 7167: Remove check_coherency

As suggested by Katrin, we've removed the call to check_coherency. It intended to provide readable comments when some SQL was wrong. Removing this sub result in the SQL error being displayed. That's OK because the sysadmin or the developer can google the error, understand it, then fix it.

Bug 7167: Changing in .sql parsing

We first split on delimiter and then extract comments. You can now put
\n for delimiter comments.
ex:

DELIMITER ;
-- this is a comment
SELECT * FROM  my_table;
-- another comment

Before this patch, we had to write:
DELIMITER ;
-- this is a comment;
SELECT * FROM  my_table;

Bug 7167: Add .pl and .sql examples

Those files are in version directory, so will never be executed by the updater
If you want to provide an update, do it in a 3.09/ directory (if your update is expected for 3.10 version)

Note that the updater use a md5sum checker. So, if the same update is in 2 different places, it will be detected. That will be handy for changes made on both stable and master: a library running stable will get the update when updating. When upgrading to the next major release, Koha will detect the patch has already been applied, and no error will be thrown. With the previous mechanism, a DBRev ported to stable was re-executed when upgrading to master, resulting in a nasty (but usually harmless) error message

Bug 7167: Improve display + factorize get_queries

Despite it's size, this patch is dealing with display questions only:
 * The text "comments" and "queries" was hardcoded in ajax-updatedb-getinfo.pl script. It has been replaced by a JSON call, returning 2 separate values, "comments:" and "queries:" is now in the template, making it translatable
 * Some minor tweak in the display (like putting things in bold, displaying OK in green, warnings in yellow and KO in red)
 * Reordering the column headers for more readability:
    * Status column is merged with availability, column is after status
    * Status/availability terms more clear: "Not applied" instead of "unknown", "Applied and OK", "Applied and failed", "Applied and forced" are the 3 other statuses
    * Removed one click to display comments on DBREv not yet applied: before the patch, one had to click "Show details", then "Get comments", now, "Get comments" is enough

Bug 7167: FIX typos & moving a script to a proper place

* renamed availables to available
* renamed already_knows to already_applied

* fixed a tiny typo in about.tt

* moving update.pl to misc/bin because it's a CLI script

> handle that correctly:
> Argument "\x{74}\x{65}..." isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at

Bug 7167 reindentation & removing dead code

* The if (! defined $ENV{PERL5LIB}... block was wrongly intented
* The 3 lines running update.pl are useless: the update (new mechanism) is run from admin/updatedatabase.pl script. This part of install.pl is run only when you have "old style" DB revisions.

Summary:
 * old mechanism = it's run as previously, by reaching the installer/install.pl?step=3 page, that applies all revisions
 * new mechanism = when you log-in or reach mainpage.pl, you reach admin/updatedatabase.pl, where you can see what will be run, and run it

Tiny side effect = the check for old mechanism is now done *after* authentification (thus it's not done on each page call). It means that the user will have to enter login/password twice :
 * first to log-in to Koha
 * second to run installer/updatedatabase.pl?step=3
As the old mechanism is deprecated, we can expect this will happend only a few time in the history of a setup, it's not a big deal.

533c9bc657 Bug 9140 - Untranslatable strings in item circulation history

be displayed for those which do not.

92782d3832 Bug 7067 - OPAC Borrower Self Registration
This development will add the ability for a new patron to register
himself or herself. The self-registration will attempt to match this
newly inputted data to any existing patrons and if any possible matches
are found, ask if the patron is sure he or she doesn't already have an
account at the library. A system preference may be set to prevent patron
self-registration if the system detects the possibility that the person
may already have an account.

Once the patron has registered, passing a captcha (or similar
bot-stopper), the patron will then be optionally verified a second time
via email. At this point, the patron will be able to print a temporary
library card (optional by system preference), and will be provided any
details necessary to access electronic resources (this body of text
would be a template in the slips and notices system). At the library's
choice, this new patron would either be set to a temporary patron status
(patron type set via system preference), or a fully-fledged patron
(allow patron type to be determined by age and/or other attributes).
Assuming the library uses temporary patron types for OPAC registrations,
this patron will next enter a queue and would need to physically enter
the library to verify himself and become a fully-fledged patron (most
likely by bringing in physical proof of address, etc.). The librarian
would look up the patron record and modify the patron type. If a
temporary patron has not been verified within a certain time frame
(defined by a system preference), the patron record will be deleted
from the system via a cron job.

For registered patrons, the system will allow each person to also
update his or her personal data via the OPAC. When a patron updates his
or her information, the changes will be entered into a queue to be
verified by a librarian (preventing a patron from inputting obviously
bogus data). The staff client home page will display the number of
patron records with changes awaiting approval. A librarian would then be
able to click through a list of modification requests, and approve or
deny each (with approval and denial alerts being sent to the patron via
the standard messaging system).

NEW CRON JOB
* delete_expired_opac_registrations.pl
  - Deletes patrons that have not been upgraded from the temporary
    status within the specified delay
* delete_unverified_opac_registrations.pl
  - Deletes the unverified patrons based on the length of time specified
    in the PatronSelfRegistrationExpireTemporaryAccountsDelay

The patron will register from self_registration.pl, linked off opac-main.pl if enabled. The registration page will be translatable to other languages in the same way that existing templates are.

Test Plan:
1) Enable PatronSelfRegistration
2) Set PatronSelfRegistrationExpireTemporaryAccountsDelay to a number
   of days
3) Create a self-registered borrower category
4) Set PatronSelfRegistrationUseTemporaryStatus
5) Set PatronSelfRegistrationVerifyByEmail to "Don't require"
6) Go to OPAC, log out if logged in.
7) You should see the "Register here" link below the login box
8) Attempt to register yourself
9) Verify you can log in with your temporary password.
10) Set PatronSelfRegistrationVerifyByEmail to "Require"
11) Attempt another self-registration
12) Check the messages table, you should see a new message with a
    verification link.
13) Copy and paste the link into a web browser to verify the registration
14) Log in with the given credentials to verify the account was created.

Test Plan - Part 2 - Borrower Modifications

1) Log in to OPAC, go to "my personal details" tab.
2) Make some modifications to your details.
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for two more borrowers.
4) Log in to Koha intranet with a user that can modify borrowers.
5) At the bottom of mainpage.pl, you should see:
  Patrons requesting modifications: 3
6) Click the link
7) Approve one change, deny a different one, and ignore the third, then
   submit.
8) Check the records, you should see the changes take affect on the
approved one, and no changes to the other two. You should also see
"Patrons requesting modifications: 1" at the bottom of mainpage.pl
   now.

7af1288b63 Bug 9167: Standardize the sort field copyrightdate for lists
How to reproduce the issue:
Create a list at the OPAC and select the sort field 'year'. Go to the
list management page at the intranet: the sort field "copyrightdate" is
not selected by default.

How to test this patch:
Check the issue is not still present with this patch.
Create several lists at the OPAC with different sort field.
Check results are consistent on both interfaces.
Check the selected sort field is selected on the edit page.
Check there is no regression.

What this patch does:
- change the way to send the selected sort field to the templates
- remove the select tests on the new list page (useless)
- the copyrightdate sortfield is named "copyrightdate" everywhere
- update your database : set virtualshelves.sortfield = 'copyrightdate'
  if virtualshelves.sortfield = 'year'

acbfe26c9e Bug 7919 : Display of values depending on the connexion library
In a librairies network, we would like to declare specific values just
for one (or more) library.
Here we implement the ability to associate categories, patron attributes
types and/or authorised_values with librairies (branches).

This patch adds 3 new association tables:
- categories_branches ( association table between categories and branches )
- authorised_values_branches ( association table between
  authorised_values and branches )
- borrower_attribute_types_branches (association table between
  borrower_attribute_types and branches )

Plan test:
  - Create (or modify) categories, patron attributes and
authorised_values and link it with one (or more) library.
  - Set one of these librairies
  - Go to one of the multiple pages where this specific value must be displayed
and check that it does appear.
  - Set a library not concerned.
  - Check on the same pages this value is doest not appear.

A page list:
cataloguing/addbiblio.pl
cataloguing/additems.pl
members/members-home.pl
members/memberentry.pl
acqui/neworderempty.pl
tools/modborrowers.pl
and others :)

aa864a8720 Bug 9130 - Remove old javascript from Parcel
When receiving orders, the old javascript would show the following above
the tables for pending orders and received orders:

"Only the first 5 items are displayed. Click here to show all 'X'
items."

With the implementation of the Jquery Datatables plugin, this text and
the 4 JS functions associated with it are now pointless (since users
should be using the datatable toolbar) and problematic.

The problem is that the Jquery toolbar says "Showing 1 to 10 of X",
while in fact it is actually only showing 5 items, because that other JS
takes place after the Jquery.

While not a crippling bug, it's certainly irritating and misleading.

df7e36e8fb Bug 8893 - show more information on printout
My proposed solution eliminates the special print view
page altogether and has the Print button trigger the
browser's print function. I've tweaked the print stylesheet
to improve the output.

Normally I don't think print buttons in the interface
are necessary, since a user could be expected to be able
to print the page using browser controls. But I think it's
best not to remove the button when people are used to seeing
it.

The behavior people will find now is different when clicking
the button from different catalogue pages. A user on the MARC
detail page, instead of getting the generic print view will
get a print of the page they're on. Overall I think this
is more in line with what a user would expect.

82d1fe4086 Bug 8559 - conflicting item statuses - Force cancel or revert
If a librarian checks out a waiting hold to a different patron
it gives the item conflicting statuses. The item will show as both
checked out to the different patron, and waiting for the original
patron.

This patch fixes this by not allowing this situation to occurr. If
a librarian attempts to issue an item that is waiting for a different
patron, the system will force the librarian to choose to
a) not issue the item
b) issue the item, and cancel the waiting hold
c) issue the item, and revert the waiting hold

In this scenario, reverting the waiting hold means to push it back
on the reserves queue as a hold with a priority of 1, which will push
the priorities of any existing holds back by 1 as well. It will become
an item level hold for the given item, as we cannot know if the hold
was item-level or bib-level given the data we have about the hold.

d57194e24d Bug 7358: reaffect a closed basket to a closed basketgroup
The list of basketgroups when looking at a closed basket show all the
basketgroups.
It should not be possible to affect a basket to a closed basketgroup,
since this basketgroup should have been sent to a supplier.

3a7488f874 Bug 9073 - Download option from the cart should match the menu button in lists
This patch moves the staff client Cart download choices into a toolbar
menu button instead of requiring that the user make the choice via a form
in the pop-up window.

To test, add items to Cart in the staff client. Open the cart and
choose a download option from the Download menu. Your download
should complete correctly without the page changing or reloading.

Unrelated edit: Eliminating duplicate document.ready() block by
consolidating a couple of lines of JavaScript.

4e97465463 Bug 5521 - item edit form appears if no items found
This patch changes the template so that if no items are
found the page doesn't show "The following barcodes were found"
and doesn't show the item edit form.

To test, submit a batch which contains no valid barcodes.
Compare to a batch which contains some or all valid barcodes.

c5e91b8060 Bug 8163: Click to populate XSLT preferences with "default" or empty values
This patch adds markup and JavaScript to the system preferences
interface so that the user can click "default" or "empty" to populate
an XSLT-related pref with those vaules.

To test, open system preferences for the OPAC or staff client. In
the description for an XSLT-related preference click the "default"
link to populate the field with "default." Click the "leave empty"
link to empty the field.

Revised according to Julian Maurice's suggestion for a more
generic, flexible way to implement it.
