This enhancement adds the ability to search on all isbn variations when
searching on the isbn index.
Test plan:
0/ Don't apply the patch
1/ Create or choose a notice with an isbn with dashes.
2/ Try to search the notice using the isbn index by it isbn without
dashes.
=> It does not work.
3/ Apply the patch, enable the new pref SearchWithISBNVariations and
disable UseQueryParser.
4/ repeat 2 and note that the record is now returned.
Note that this only works if UseQueryParser is disabled.
It looks like QueryParser does not manage more than 1 operator.

The "Display only used tags/subfields" output breaks DataTables and the
output is unusable.
Test plan:
1/ Go on admin/marctagstructure.pl after you have selected a framework
2/ Check the checkbox
3/ The table should be correctly displayed.
Before this patch, the table have 2 lines per tag, now all data are

The pref AddPatronLists does not work as expected if 'generic' is
selected.
Indeed a patron should be linked to a valid patron category (see the
constraint borrowers_ibfk_1 in the DB structure).
Test plan:
0/ Confirm that the AddPatronLists does not work as expected if you choose
the generic patron types.
1/ Delete all you patron categories and check that the interface invites
you to create one.
2/ Confirm that you are able to create a patron and to link it to a patron
category you have created.
I could not verify step 1/, because at least one Patron category
can not be deleted (Staff, since I'm logged in as a Staff patron
and you can not delete categories that are in use).

This proposed followup adds a 'Coce' syspref so it is consistent with
the rest of the enhanced content providers sysprefs (also, there's no
point making the user delete its configuration if disabling his Coce
integration for testing purposes, for example).
It also changes the CoceProviders syspref so it is a 'multiple' type
syspref. It puts some sensible descriptions to the options too.
Feel free to discuss this followup, it is just an idea!

- OK for the 'Coce' syspref: it's sensible to distinct configuration
from enabling/disbaling the service.
- OK also for the multichoices systempreference. If a new service
popup, it won't be difficult to amend the .pref file.
Add to Koha support for displaying Book cover requested to Coce, a
remote image URL cache:
https://github.com/fredericd/coce
With this enhancement, cover images are not fetched directly from
Amazon, Google, and so on. Their URL are requested via a web service to
Coce which manages a cache of URLs.
Three cover image providers are now available: Google Books (gb), Amazon
(aws), and Open Library (ol). Two system preferences enable this service:
- CoceHost - URL of Coce server
- CoceProviders - Ordered list of requested providers. For example
gb,aws,ol, will return the first available URL from those providers.
Several advantages to this architecture:
- If a book cover is not available from a provider, but is available
from another one, Koha will be able to display a book cover, which
isn't the case now
- Since URLs are cached, it isn't necessary for each book cover to
request, again and again, the provider, and several of them if
necessary.
- Amazon book covers are retrieved with Amazon Product Advertising
API, which means that more covers are retrieved (ISBN13).
Test plan:
- Apply this patch, and test with 'Bootstrap' themes
- You can verify that nothing has changed on OPAC result and detail
page, since new syspref haven't been filled
- Install Code: https://github.com/fredericd/coce
Or ask me directly for the URL of a Coce server
- In sysprefs, tab Enhanced content, modify:
CoceHost -- enter the URL of your Coce server
CoceProviders -- fill with: gb,aws,ol
- Do a search. On result page, and detail page, you will see cover
images originating from the 3 providers: fly over the image to see its
URL. Try to compare with a Koha with just GoogleJacket or Amazon cover
to confirm that you have more images. Verify that it's quick, and even
quicker for cached images URLs.
- Check that Browse Shelf functionnality works properly.
- The ID sent to Coce is EAN or ISBN. Try with various type of biblios. DVD
have often EAN, but no ISBN.
- You can try with those sysprefs:
CoceProviders: aws,gb
CoceHost: http://coce.tamil.fr:8080
and this EAN (or ISBN): 3333297517744
=> OPACAmazonCoverImages enabled doesn't display a cover because, it's a DVD
=> Coce find and display the DVD cover.

This patch is the main patch.
The "common" template is improved to allow different type of picking:
"add" or "select".
The first one appends a patron to a list, the second one selects the
patron and close the result search window.
The members/guarantor_search.pl has completly changed but is quite the
same file as acqui/add_user_search.pl. Both should exist: they don't
belong to the same module (acqui vs members), the picking type is
different (add vs select) and the columns are not the same.
The changes in the common template are very powerful, it's now possible
to list the column we want! This will be very useful for further
reusability.
Before this patch, all patrons mathing the pattern were return. Now only
the first 20 are (depends on the DataTables selected value).
For QA: This patch introduces a new template plugin "To", for now it
permits to convert a perl structure to json. In the idea, it could
permit to convert foo to bar too.
Test plan:
1/ Verify there is no regression in the guarantor search. When the
selection has been done, all data from the guarantor should fill the
form in the "main address" section.
Note that the request is done when the search input in not empty and the
user stop to write for 1 sec.
2/ Verify there is no regression on the 2 other pages where this patron
search is used: link a patron to an order and to a basket (in the
acquisition module).

Bug 12979 refactored the way to display prices.
The price format configuration was duplicated everywhere it was used.
All calls looks good except the one in admin/aqbudgetperiods.pl
In this one, the prices are formatted for an edition field (input).
This means the input is incorrectly filled even if the user does not
update the field.
At the end, maybe should we manage formatted prices everywhere, even in
inputs, but it's not in the scope of this bug.
Technically, a new subroutine format_for_editing is added to the
Koha::Number::Price module.
It should be called everywhere a price is displayed in an input field.
At the moment, it only does a sprintf("%.2f"), but it is a first step to
let the number of decimals to display configurable.
To test:
1/ Verify the issue described is fixed (editing a budget with a total
amount > 1000 (With CurrencyFormat is US or FR).
2/ Verify you can edit a fund with a total amount > 1000

When creating an order, the fund value is mandatory but the DB structure
does not show this constraint.
The aqorders.budget_id field should be linked to aqbudgets.budget_id.
The updatedatabase.pl (entry 3.01.00.077) commented this constraint,
certainly for a retro compatibility reason.
Actually I found some cases (in production) where aqorders.budget_id is
set to "0". To add this constraint, we should add a temporary fund to
linked orphan orders.
Test plan:
0/ Verify it is not possible to create an order not linked to a fund via
the Koha interface.
1/ Using your SQL CLI (or equivalent), create or update 1+ orders and set
"0" in the budget_id field.
2/ Execute the updatedabase script.
3/ Verify that your order is linked to a new fund (which is linked to a
new budget).

Patch to follow that adds 3 new system preferences to control the
parameters for the longoverdue script.
New prefs are DefaultLongOverdueChargeValue, DefaultLongOverdueLostValue
and DefaultLongOverdueDays.
These preferences are used when you call the longoverdue.pl script without
their parameters.

Removes note about Display856uAsImage not working on
the OPAC result page.
To test:
- catalog a record with 856$u = URL to an image, $q = img
- turn on the system preference Display856uAsImage
- check that the pref description makes sense and is correct
- the warning about the pref not working on result pages
has been removed
- make sure your record has been reindexed by Zebra
- verifiy the image indeed displays on the result page
in the bootstrap catalog.
Note: The height=100 doesn't work in the Boostrap catalog,

This patch makes it possible to sync patron data between Koha and the
Norwegian national patron database, in both directions.
In order to use this, the following information is necessary:
- a username/password from the Norwegian national database of libraries
("Base Bibliotek"), available to all Norwegian libraries
- a special key in order to decrypt and encrypt PIN-codes/passwords,
which is only available to Norwegian library system vendors
- a norwegian library vendor username/password
See http://www.lanekortet.no/ for more information (in Norwegian).
While this is of course an implementation of a specific synchronization scheme
for borrower data, attempts have been made to prepare the ground for other sync
schemes that might be implemented later. Especially the structure of the new
borrower_sync table might be reviewed with an eye to how it might fit other
schemes.
To test:
Since the password and cryptographic key needed to use this functionality
is only available to Norwegian library system vendors, only regression testing
can be done on the submitted code. Suggested things to check:
- Apply the patch and make sure the database update is done. This should add
the new "borrower_sync" table and five new systmpreferences under the
"Patrons" > "Norwegian patron database" category:
- NorwegianPatronDBEnable
- NorwegianPatronDBEndpoint
- NorwegianPatronDBUsername
- NorwegianPatronDBPassword
- NorwegianPatronDBSearchNLAfterLocalHit
- Check that patrons can be created, edited and deleted as usual, when
NorwegianPatronDBEnable is set to "Disable"
- Check that the new tests in t/NorwegianPatronDB.pm run ok, e.g. on a
gitified setup:
$ sudo koha-shell -c "PERL5LIB=/path/to/kohaclone prove -v t/NorwegianPatronDB.t" instancename
- Check that all the other tests still run ok
- Check that the POD in the new files itroduced by this patch looks ok:
- Koha/NorwegianPatronDB.pm
- members/nl-search.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-from-koha.pl
- misc/cronjobs/nl-sync-to-koha.pl
- t/NorwegianPatronDB.t

The current holds behavior in Koha allows a situation like this:
- Patron A has an item currently checked out.
- Patron B places a hold on the next available copy of that title.
- Then Patron A will not be able to renew his item, even if there are
other available copies of that title that could potentially fill Patron
B's hold.
Since this seems unfair to Patron A, we should allow renewal of items
even if there are unfilled holds, but those holds could all be filled
with currently available items.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Create a record with two items
3) Check out the item to a patron
4) Place a hold on the record
5) Note you cannot renew the item for the patron
6) Enable the new system preference AllowRenewalIfOtherItemsAvailable
7) Note you can now renew the item, as all the holds can be satisfied
by available items.
8) Place a second hold on the record
9) Note you can no longer renew the item, as all the holds *cannot*
be filled by currently available items

This bug adds a new preference, "SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEdition,"
but the use of the term "Edition" in this context is incorrect. I think
it would be more clear to change the preference name to
"SubfieldsToAllowForRestrictedEditing." This patch makes this change.
I realize this isn't a big issue since the preference has a good
description, but I thought that if we were going to make this as clear
as possible now would be the time to do it.

When enabling or disabling a OPAC language choice clicking the label

because both <label>s have the same id.

Item search is available at catalogue/itemsearch.pl (link is in
catalogue/search.pl)
It only uses SQL (not Zebra)
* Use DataTables and server-side processing to be able to filter on
individual columns after the first search is done.
* Allow to export results in CSV
* With Javascript disabled, search form still works (and CSV export too)
There is the possibility to define "Custom search fields" in a new admin
page admin/items_search_fields.pl (link is in admin/admin-home.pl)
A custom item search field is defined by:
* a name: its unique identifier
* a label: the text displayed to the user
* a MARC field/subfield: the field/subfield to query (it uses
ExtractValue)
* an authorised values list (optional): if defined the list is displayed
in the search form
New Perl dependency: Template::Plugin::JSON::Escape
Test plan:
1/ Apply the patch and run updatedatabase.pl
2/ Go to advanced search (staff interface), then click on "Go to item
search"
3/ Play with the search form! :)
In the 3rd fieldset you can add as many fields as you want and combine them with
boolean operators (AND, OR). You can use SQL jokers characters (%, _)
You can output to screen (in a DataTables table) or to a CSV file.
4/ In the DataTables table, play with filters and try sorting columns.
5/ Disable Javascript (with Firefox: extensions NoScript or YesScript,
or in about:config 'javascript.enabled' = false
6/ Reload the search page and do some searches on screen output. (there
is no sorting or filtering features, but there is still pagination)
7/ Try again CSV output.
8/ You can re-enable Javascript.
9/ Go to Administration > Items search fields
10/ Add a new field. Example for title (in UNIMARC):
Name: title
Label: Title
MARC field: 200
MARC subfield: a
Authorised values category: None
(add another field with an authorised values category to see the
difference).
11/ As you are there try to update and delete some fields.
12/ Go back to items search form. You can see in the 3rd fieldset that
your fields have appeared in the selects.
13/ Try searching on them.
14/ I think you're done :)

This feature will allow libraries to specify that, when an item is returned,
a local hold may be given priority for fulfillment even though it is
of lower priority in the list of unfilled holds.
This feature has three settings:
* LocalHoldsPriority, which enables the feature
* LocalHoldsPriorityPatronControl, which selects for either tha patron's
home library, or the patron's pickup library for the hold
* LocalHoldsPriorityItemControl, which selects for either the item's
holding library, or home library.
So, this feature can "give priority for filling holds to
patrons whose (home library|pickup library) matches the item's
(home library|holding library)"

This patch implements the In-House Use feature for Koha.
It adds:
- 2 new sysprefs:
'In-House Use' to enable/disable this feature
'In-House Use Forced' to enable/disable the feature for *all* users.
- 2 new columns issues.inhouse_use and old_issues.inhouse_use
- Datatable on the circulation history pages (readingrec) at the OPAC
and the intranet.
A new checkbox in the Circulation tab. If checked, the issue become a
in-house use (in the statistics and issues tables).
When you check it, the due date changes to the today date.
The syspref "In-House Use Force" allows to force the in-house use to
permit the checkout even if the borrower is debarred or others problems.
In the issue table, a new string (in red) marks the issue as "in-house use".
The circulation history contains 3 tabs : "all", "checkout" and
"in-house use" (OPAC and intranet).
The cronjob script:
If AutomaticItemReturn if off, a library would like not to do a transit
operation manually. This script (to launch each night) do returns
for a specific branches.
Test plan:
1/ Execute the updatedatabase entry
2/ Enable the 'In-House Use' pref.
3/ Checkout a biblio for a patron and check the 'in-house use' checkbox.
4/ Check that the due date is the today date (with 23:59) and is not modifiable.
5/ Click on the check out button and check that the new check out
appears in the table bellow with the "(In-house use)" string.
6/ Go on the circulation history pages (readingrec and opac-readingrec)
and try the 3 tabs. In the last one, your last checkout should appear.
7/ Check in.
8/ Check readingrec pages.
9/ Choose a debarred patron and check that you cannot checkout a biblio
for him.
10/ Switch on the 'In-House Use Forced' pref

The method C4::Budgets::GetBudgetHierarchy() retreives from database budgets in an array containing a tree of budgets (parent -> children -> children, ...).
The code generating this tree with the SQL results needs optimization because when a lot of budgets exists, it can run during several minutes.
This patch rewites the code using a recurive method.
Test plan :
- Create a active budget "MyBudget" with 1000
- Click "Add found" on this budget
- Create a found "Parent" with 1000, set you has owner
- Click "Add child found" on found "Parent"
- Create a found "Child" with 100, set you has owner
- Click "Add child found" on found "Child"
- Create a found "Grand-child" with 10, set you has owner
|
- Create a new acquisition basket
- Add a new order with "Child budget"
- Select "Child" found and set all costs to 2
- Save order
- Add a new order with "Grand-Child budget"
- Select "Child" found and set all costs to 2
- Save order
- Close basket
- Perform the receive of the two orders
|
- Go to founds of "MyBudget"
=> You see a table with 3 founds
- in "Fund filters", select no library and uncheck "Show my funds only" and click on "Go"
=> You see a table with "Parent" found
- Click on small arrow left of the fund code of "Parent"
=> You see a new line with "Child" found
- Click on small arrow left of the fund code of "Child"
=> You see a new line with "Grand-Child" found
|
=> You see in "Grand-Child" row "Base-level spent" = 2 and "Total sublevels spent" = 2
=> You see in "Child" row "Base-level spent" = 2 and "Total sublevels spent" = 4
This confirms the founds are used in a hierarchie.

3/ Verify that the funds page displayes the prices as before.
4/ Verify that the planning page displayes the prices as before. (Note
that 1 price is now formatted: 'Fund remaining').
5/ Create an order from a staged file. This stage file should contain a
formatted price.

This patch introduces a syspref (FacetMaxCount) that controls how many
facets to show for each category (e.g. Author).

The series of links in the "actions" column of the budgets
administration summary table are not very readable as they are, all
strung together: Edit Delete Duplicate Close Add fund.
This patch moves the links into an "Actions" menu, similar to the change
made by Bug 10615 in Reports.
To test you should have multiple active and inactive budgets. Apply the
patch and go to Administration -> Budgets. Confirm that each menu item
links to the correct action. Test the menu for both active and inactive
budgets.

This follow-up makes some language and spelling corrections to the
system preference descriptions. I have updated the preferences heading
to read "Share anonymous usage statistics" in order to emphasize the
anonymous aspect.
I have also updated the main preference name from "UsageStatsShare" to
"UsageStats" so that it is alphabetized first in the list of
"UsageStats*" preferences. I think this will make it clearer to the Koha
administrator what feature they are configuring.

Goals:
- Collecting Koha usage statistics
- Rendering stats on a community website
- Having a big bicture of how koha is used
3 parts in the project:
- this patch in koha
- hea-ws which collects data
- hea-app which renders data
Installation:
1/ Fill systempreferences:
UsageStatsLastUpdateTime UsageStatsID UsageStatsShare UsageStatsLibraryName
2/ Setup a cron in your crontab (ex: at 3:00 every first of the month):

The system preference TimeFormat decides if times are formatted in 24
hour or 12 hour format. The issue at hand is that this changes the time
description for fines. Let us assume the time format is currently 24
hour, and there are overdue items with accruing fines. When the format
is changed to 12 hour, and fines.pl is run, it will begin looking for
fines with a 12 hour format. Since there are no, it will create a new
fine and you will now have two fines for the same item!
There are solutions which require database manipulation:
1) Update all existing fines from 24 hour to 12 hour format
2) Delete all existing accruing fines so they are all regenerated the
following night
The same situation applies to DateFormat.
The accounts rewrite ( Bug 6427 ) will resolve this issue, as it does
not look for existing fines based on the description.
I believe the best course of action until bug 6427 is pushed to master
is to add a warning to the system preference to not alter it on a
production server with existing fines.

Form fields in the staff client which are required should be configured
to be so by doing several things:
- Add a class "required" to the field's <label>
- Add a class "required" to the form field
- Add 'required="required"' to the form field
- Apppend a <span class="required">Required</span> after the form field.
Several places in the templates are missing the <span>. This patch adds
them.
To test, apply the patch and view the following pages to confirm that
the "Required" text appears:
- Acquisitions -> Add an order to a basket from a new (empty) record.
Title, quantity, and fund should indicate they are required.
- Administration -> Authority types -> New authority type. The
authority type and description fields should indicate they are
required.
- Administration -> Authority types -> MARC structure -> New tag. The
tag field should indicate it is required.
- Patron types and categories -> New category. Category code,
description, and category type should indicate that they are required.
FIXME: Enrollment period is required but the user must choose one. I'm
not sure how to handle that clearly.
- Tools -> CSV profiles. Profile name, profile type, and profile MARC
fields should indicate they are required on both the new and edit
forms.
- Administration -> Manage MARC modification templates. Under "Create a
new template" the name field should indicate that it is required.
- Tools -> Batch patron modification -> Submit a batch for editing. Any
fields which are required according to your BorrowerMandatoryField
system preference should indicate that they are required.
Patch behaves as expected.

QA Edits: Re-worded the "required" not on the batch patron edit form,
added a missing word to the help text on that page. On the csv-profiles
page I removed an unnecessary "javascript:" protocol from the markup.

This allows the search box to be replaced by some custom HTML, useful
when you're needing to integrate with some other search system, and
don't want to maintain a template change across upgrades.
Test plan:
* Install patch
* Look at the OPAC, see that nothing has changed.
* Change the OpacCustomSearch syspref to something like <h1>Zuul</h1>
* Look at the OPAC again, you can no longer search, there is only Zuul.

Works as advertised. Seems like it would be really easy to screw up your
OPAC with this feature, but since we already offer other easy ways to
screw up your OPAC I guess this fits in.

Some scripts pass a template variable to facilitate an alternate table
row class for styling. Other use the 'IF (loop.odd)' construction. I
think we're at the point where the CSS3 :nth-child() selector is
widely-supported enough that we can do without template-based solutions:
http://caniuse.com/#feat=css-sel3
This patch adds such a selector to the staff client CSS and removes the
corresponding template markup from Administration pages. The last in
this series of patches will remove the redundant CSS.
Also in this patch: a few minor markup corrections.
To test, apply the patch and clear your browser cache if necessary. View
the following pages and confirm that alternate table row highlighting
works as before:
- Administration -> Budgets
- Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Contracts
- Administration -> Budgets -> Budget -> Planning
- Administration -> Authority types
- Administration -> Authority types -> MARC structure
- Administration -> Authority types -> MARC structure -> subfields
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic framework
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic framework -> MARC structure
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic framework -> MARC structure -> Subfields
- Administration -> Libraries and groups
- Administration -> Cities and towns
- Administration -> Classification sources
- Administration -> Circulation and fines rules
- Administration -> Currencies and exchange rates

Since nobody is currently working on the zebra layer introduced by bug
8233, Solr won't never work.
Some code has been introduced in 3.10 to prove several search engines
can cohabit into Koha but no help/fund has been found to go ahead.
It is useless to keep this code and to maintain an ambiguous situation.
I think the indexes configuration page could be restore later if someone
else introduces a new search engine into Koha.

Look at the code introduced by bug 8233 and verify all is removed.

This patch resolves the ambiguity of the word "Checked" for Z39.50
server administration.
To test:
Apply patch
In staff client, go to Home:Administration:Z39.50/SRU servers
Result: Column heading of 6th column should show "Preselected" (instead
of "Checked")
Edit or create new server for Z39.50 and SRU
Result: Checkbox underneath "Password" should have label "Preselected
(searched by default):"
Click "Help" at top right of screen
Result: Wording changed for selecting targets as default.
