This patch makes minor corrections to the template for the OPAC's
recent comments view. These corrections fix errors returned by the HTML
validator.
The patch moves some inline CSS into a class in the global OPAC CSS.
Some minor reindentation has also been done, so use diff with the '-w'
flag.
To reproduce the problem you should have the 'reviewson' system
preference turned on, and your system should have one or more
approved comments. View the "Recent comments" page in the OPAC. Run the
page through the W3C validation service: https://validator.w3.org.
Either by pasting in the URL for the search results (if web accessible)
or by viewing source, copying, and pasting into "Validate by Direct
Input."
This patch addresses one specific error:
- "CSS: font-color: Property font-color doesn't exist."
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
Try again to reproduce the validation errors. Those errors should no
longer be present. There should be no visible change to the page.

This patch makes a minor markup change to the OPAC user summary template
(opac-user.tt) in order to quiet warnings from the HTML validator. The
obsolete name attribute on two links is removed in favor of class names.
The JavaScript has been modified accordingly.
To reproduce the problem you should have the AllowCheckoutNotes system
preference enabled. Log in to the OPAC as a user who has checkouts and
view the "your summary" page. Run the page through the W3C validation
service: https://validator.w3.org. Either by pasting in the URL for the
search results (if web accessible) or by viewing source, copying, and
pasting into "Validate by Direct Input."
This patch specifically addresses this warning:
- "The name attribute is obsolete. Consider putting an id attribute on
the nearest container instead."
To test, apply the patch and try again to reproduce the validation
errors. Those errors should no longer be present. There should be no
visible change to the page.
Test the process of adding or editing an note on a checkout. It should
work correctly.

This patch updates GetLatestSerials in Serials.pm to remove date
formatting. Formatting of dates should be done in the template using
$KohaDates.
To test, apply the patch and locate a bibliographic record in the staff
client which has a subscription with issues.
- On the bibliographic detail page for that record, view the
"Subscriptions" tab. Dates in the table of recent issues should be
formatted correctly.
- View the details for the subscription in the Serials module. Create
or edit a routing list for that serial. In the "Issue" dropdown the
issue dates should be formatted correctly.
- View the bibliographic detail page for the record in the OPAC. Open
the "Subscriptions" tab. In the table of recent issues publication
date and received date should be formatted correctly. The table
should sort correctly on these dates.
Note: Although opac-ISBDdetail.pl calls GetLatestSerials, as far as I
can tell there is no serial-related output to update. The code appears
to be unused.

This patch modifies the OPAC suggestion form so that it doesn't require
JavaScript for form validation. This change doesn't alter the behavior
of the form for users but does fit with the general goal of progressive
enhancement for the OPAC.
The patch adds "required" labels to required fields to better identify
required fields.
To test, apply the patch and make sure there are required fields
specified in the OPACSuggestionMandatoryFields system preference.
- Log in to the OPAC and go to Your purchase suggestions -> New
purchase suggestion.

highlighted and marked "required."

fields.

This patch implements a Koha news system replacement of the OpacNavRight
system preference. The changes to koha-news.tt enable the selection of
"OpacNavRight" as a location for the content. opac-main.pl is modified
to ensure that the user's selected language is passed to the template
for use by the KohaNews plugin.
The database update process takes the contents of Koha's OpacNavRight
system preference and adds it to the Koha news system. The OpacNavRight
system preference is then removed from the database.
When the new entry is added to Koha news, the language is set based on
the top selected language in the "opaclanguages" preference. The entry
is added to "All libraries" without an author, title, or expiration
date.
Note that this patch doesn't change the way OPAC news is displayed. I
think it's best to keep existing markup and code for that since it
handles details like branch selection and RSS.
To test, apply the patch and run the database update.
- In the staff client go to Tools -> News and confirm that there is now
an entry with the location "OpacNavRight_en" (assuming an "en"
English interface).
- Confirm that the previous contents of OpacNavRight were added
correctly.
- Go to Administration -> System preferences -> OPAC and verify that
the OpacNavRight preference has been removed.
- In the OPAC, confirm that the correct content is displayed in the
region previously defined in the OpacNavRight system preference.
- Test that the language and library-specific nature of news items is
reflected in the behavior of this content area:
- Define different text based on language and location. Confirm that
switching translations and logging in to the OPAC both trigger the
correct display of different content.

This patch makes the OPAC pages that rely on OpacPasswordChange use the
current patron's category to make the decision to allow password change
or not.
It does so by making sure all the places in which OpacPasswordChange was
used, use $logged_in_user->category->effective_change_password instead.
Special attention is required on the case of opac-registration-verify.pl

We already tell patrons on the OPAC "Please enter numbers only. (123) 456-7890 would be entered as 1234567890."

This patch modifies the OPAC password recovery template so that the new
password entry form doesn't appear if the patron has followed an invalid
or expired link.
This patch also corrects the markup in the page title.
To test, apply the patch and follow the process for resetting a
forgotten password. When you follow the password recovery link, modify
the URL so that the "uniqueKey" parameter is different.
The page should show an error message. The password entry form should
not appear.
Check the page title in the browser's title bar. It should look correct.

This patch modifies a few templates in the OPAC so that all available
information on password requirements is displayed for each case where
the patron is setting a password:
- If the RequireStrongPassword system preference is set, a message
should appear listing strong password requirements and minimum
password length.
- If RequireStrongPassword is not set, the message should only ask for
a minimum password length.
To test, apply the patch and enable the PatronSelfRegistration and
OpacResetPassword preferences.
On the following pages, test with RequireStrongPassword both on and
off. The correct messages should appear.
- OPAC -> Forgot password. Follow the process to reset your password
until you reach the step where you are entering the new password.
- OPAC -> Register here. Check the password section of the registration
form.
- OPAC -> Log in -> Change your password.

In record detail page, item location is displayed with CSS using class "shelvingloc".
Many many places at intranet and OPAC can use this class.
It allows to change display in all places using CSS customisation.
This patch removes the CSS "display:block" for class "shelvingloc".
Some places where using "inline" to correct the display.
I think the display should not be managed in template.
So it will be inline by default and it can be changed by custom CSS, on all places or depending on a selctor.
Test plan :
1) Compile SCSS to CSS
2) Add to preferences IntranetUserCSS and OPACUserCSS : .shelvingloc { color:red }
3) Go to pages impacted by patch, be sure to look at cart with "more details"
4) You see item location italic and red

The shelving location can be helpful to locate an item in the library.
Especially, if the library has decided not to create items for a
subscription this information is currently not visible to the patron.
To test:
- Apply patch
- Create a subscription, set location
- View the subscription tab in detail and staff
- Verify that the location now shows above the callnumber
- Unset location in the subscription
- Verify that the page still looks ok

This patch updates the user summary page in the OPAC so that JavaScript
alerts are replaced with Bootstrap modals. This provides us the ability
to more carefully control the content of confirmation dialogs and their
control buttons.
A global function for defining a modal confirmation boxes has been
added, to which one can pass:
- The modal title
- Body
- Text for submit and cancel buttons
- A callback function to trigger on submit
To test, apply the patch and clear your browser cache if necessary.
- Log in to the OPAC as a user who has holds and article requests.
- Test the following interactions, both the confirmation and cancel
options for each:
- Cancel a hold
- Suspend all holds
- Resume all holds
- Cancel an article request
