Bug 35558: Do not retrieve the local image if none exists
On the search results we are fetching the thumbnails of the local cover
images using catalogue/image.pl
Which means 1 GET per results on the page.

This patch suggests to have this information beforehand in order to
reduce the number of hits and network traffic?

However the page load will be slightly slower ofc.

Bug 35728: Add ability to NOT redirect to result when search returns only one record
This enhancement adds a new system preference RedirectToSoleResult. By default it is enabled, which matches current behaviour - to redirect to the detail page if it is the only search result.

To test:

1) Apply the patch, install database updates, restart services.
2) Go to Koha Administration -> Global system preferences. The RedirectToSoleResult system preference is in the Searching tab. Confirm it is enabled (set to "Redirect") by default.
3) Conduct a catalogue search on the staff interface that you know will return a single result. Confirm you are redirected to the detail page.
4) Do the same search on the OPAC. Confirm you are redirected to the detail page.
5) Go back to the system preferences and disable the RedirectToSoleResult system preference by setting it to "Don't redirect"
6) Do the searches again on the staff interface and OPAC. Confirm you are NOT redirected to the detail page, and the search results page shows as expected.

Bug 33896: Check whether index is defined before string match
This patch checks that $indexes[$i] is defined before testing whether the string matches to remove the logged warning when searching

Test plan:
1) In the intranet, search the catalog from the top search bar
2) Check plack-intranet-error.log
3) There should be a warning "[WARN] Use of uninitialized value within @indexes in string eq"
4) Apply patch
5) restart_all and then re-try the search

Bug 33569: Fix sort by relevance in catalog search
When ordering catalog search by relevance from advanced search, this is not visible in sort order combobox in staff interface.

This is because sort by relevance is a special case not using sort
order.
This patch add a new method C4::Context->default_catalog_sort_by to use
in both staff interface and OPAC.

Test plan :
1.0) On staff interface
1.1) Define system preferences defaultSortField = 'relevance' and defaultSortOrder = 'descending'
1.2) Perform a catalog search from main page on any term, ie 'perl'
=> You see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected (with a check icon)
1.3) Perform an advanced search on any term, ie 'perl', with sort by relevance
=> Without patch : you see in sort combobox 'relevance' not selected (no check icon)
=> With patch : you see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected (with a check icon)
2.0) On OPAC
2.1) Define system preferences OPACdefaultSortField = 'relevance' and OPACdefaultSortOrder = 'descending'
2.2) Perform a catalog search from main page on any term, ie 'perl'
=> You see in sort combobox 'relevance' selected
3.0) Run prove t/Context.t

Bug 17170: Add admin page for filters and ability to edit/save existing filters
This patchset adds a new ability to save searches on the staff client, and display them in the results
page on staff or opac as a new filter.

New filters can be added from the resuilts page after a search, and there is an admin page for updating
deleting and renaming filters

There is a new permission to control management of these filters

New filters can be added that are not displayed along with facets, this allows for building custom links
using these filters to keep URLs shorter

Due to bug 30528 testing in ES is recommended

To test:
1 - Apply patches and update database and restart all
2 - Enable new system preference 'SavedSearchFilters'
3 - As superlibrarian perform a search in staff client, something broad like 'a'
4 - Note new 'Save search as filter' link on results page
5 - Click it, save search as new filter, check 'Staff client' visibility
 6 - Perform another search
7 - Note the filter now appears above facets
8 - Click to it filter results
9 - Note results are limited by the new filter, and it is checked in the facets
10 - Confirm click the [x] removes the filter
11 - Go to administration->search filters
12 - Confirm the filter appears
13 - Edit and mark as OPAC visible
14 - Test OPAC to ensure it shows and can be applied/removed
15 - Copy URL with filter applied
16 - In adminsitration mark filter as not visible on staff or opac
17 - Confirm link above still works
18 - Create a new staff with catalogue and search filters permission
19 - Ensure they can access/save filters
20 - Remove filter permission and ensure they cannot
21 - Disable system preference
22 - Confirm links to search filters page are removed from admin home and admin sidebar
23 - Confirm filters do not appear on results and cannot be created
24 - Enable pref
25 - Create a filter
26 - From search filters page, click 'Edit search'
27 - Confirm you are taken to advanced search page letting you know which filter you are editing
28 - Confirm you can change searhc options and save
29 - Confirm you can perform the search from this page

Bug 31252: Advanced search in staff interface should call barcodedecode if the search index is a barcode
We should run any inputted barcode through barcodedecode before passing it to any subroutines.
This was missed during the initial development of bug 26351.

Test Plan:
1) Set itemBarcodeInputFilter to "Remove spaces from"
2) Browse to the staff side advanced search
3) Run a barcode search for "MY TEST"
4) Note the message returned is:
No results match your search for 'bc,wrdl: "MY TEST"'.
5) Apply this patch
6) Restart all the things!
7) Repeat your search
8) Note the message returned is:

Bug 30077: (follow-up) retain branch selection
To test:
1. Apply patch, updatedatabase, restart_all
2. Search for the system pref 'IntranetAddMastheadLibraryPulldown'
3. Set it to 'Show'.
4. Go to any page that contains header search box and click on 'Search
   the catalog'.
5. To the left of the search bar you should see a dropdown for branches.
6. This should be defaulted to 'All libraries'.
7. In the dropdown choose any branch and do a search and make sure it is
   correctly limiting to that branch.
8. Try changing to a different branch and doing another search. It
should correcrly limit to that branch and retain that branch in the
   dropdown, just like the OPAC.
9. Try selecting 'All libraries' from the top of the dropdown and make
sure it is correctly searching all branches.
10. Turn on the system pref 'IntranetCatalogSearchPulldown' and make
sure it looks nice with both of those dropdowns and functions when
you use limiters from both dropdowns.

Bug 31213: Auto search simple term quoted
This patch does a second search if the first had no results and was a simple single term search

We simply quote the term, rebuild the query, and rerun the search

This targets both Zebra and ES, but is more relevant for ES

To test:
0 - Have Koha running using ES
1 - Add titles your system "Ivy + Bean" "The 6:20 Man"
2 - Search for these titles without quotes - NO results under ES
3 - Search with quotes - you find them
4 - Apply patch, restart all
5 - Search again without quotes
6 - Success!
7 - Confirm search still works under Zebra

Bug 27546: Add 'Search within results' search box
This enhancement adds a new input above the search results allowing one to search within the results. The search
box will take a query and add it as a limit to the previous search

These patches make a slight change to the search header, passing the dropdown selection as a parameter rather thandirectly.

Searching this way is functionally equivaled to adding 'AND' with the new term to original results.

To test:
1 - Apply patch
2 - Search on staff client wiht a term that returns results
3 - Note the new 'Search within results box'
4 - Add a search term
5 - Note new results and confirm they are as expected
6 - Enable IntranetCatalogSearchPulldown and confirm the dropdown works as expected
7 - Edit your search - the reinfements appear in the limits section and can be removed

90d658ae56 Bug 22605: Add ability to edit a search on staff interface
This patch adds the ability to parse the current search and populate the advanced search page on the staff side accordingly.
When searching you will now have an 'Edit this search' link underneath your current search terms

A few notes:
1 - Previous selected items appear with a checkbox, unchecking 'disables' them and removes from the search
2 - Facets and unrecognized limits will appear at the end of the form under 'Other limits' - there could be future enhancement to parse there better, but I believe this is sufficient for now
3 - Previously selected branch or group selections will populate the dropdowns, only one is allowed

To test:
1 - Perform a variety of search on the staff interface
2 - Confirm the 'edit search' button appear below your search
3 - Confirm that options are retained and correctly parsed
4 - Test with library groups - you should be able to combine groups after initial search, or remove individual libraries when editing
5 - Test that selecting a goup disables the individual libraries options

QA note: Missing filters on deletion of keys form hash are false positives

fc96399c95 Bug 28622: (bug 15758 follow-up) Remove incorrect branch selection in adv search
From
  commit df97814f30
  Bug 15758: Koha::Libraries - Remove GetBranches

+    selected_branchcode => ( C4::Context->IsSuperLibrarian ? C4::Context->userenv : '' ),

And

-        [% PROCESS options_for_libraries libraries => Branches.all() %]
+ [%# FIXME Should not we filter the libraries displayed? %]
+        [% PROCESS options_for_libraries libraries => Branches.all( selected => selected_branchcode, unfiltered => 1 ) %]

The change in the pl is wrong as it should pass C4::Context->userenv->{branch},
but prior to this commit it seems that we didn't select the logged in
library anyway.

Looks like we should remove this code but preserve the current behavior and select "All libraries".

9d6d641d1f Bug 17600: Standardize our EXPORT_OK
On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.

That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.

This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests

And a lot of other manual changes.

export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.

"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;

The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules

Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).

EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.

@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.

@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.

@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""

If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
  - use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

195531c038 Bug 21249: New syspref controlling branch fields queried against selected library group value in advanced search
This commit allows librarians to choose whether they want to query the
homebranch, holdingbranch or homebranch AND holdingbranch when they set
a library or library group search condition in the staff client and OPAC
advanced searches.

Test plan:
1. Apply patches, update database, restart services
2. Set up a record with one item. Edit the item so that:
home branch = Branch A
holding/current branch = Branch B.
Note the barcode of your item.
3. Go to Administration -> Library Groups. Create a library group that
only contains Branch A.

= homebranch and holdingbranch =

4. Go to Administration -> System preferences and find the new
SearchLimitLibrary syspref. Confirm it is set to 'homebranch and
holdingbranch' by default. Keep this tab open.
5. Go to Advanced Search in the staff client in another tab. Under 'location and
availability', select your library group from the dropdown. Under
'search for', select the barcode option and enter your item's barcode.

e474df6402 Bug 24155: Make weighting an option on advanced search
Currently we apply weighting to all searches except advanced search. The theory
being that when selecting indexes we don't want to apply weights. When searching
in ES weights are only applied to relevant results so it doesn't matter.

i.e. if weighting author*100 but searching subject, a term matching the subject search in author
is not boosted.

Given this, we should always apply weights, unless the user wishes not to

To test:
1 - Set some weighting
2 - Do some searches
3 - Note your terms and results, try advanced and regular searches specifying indexes or not
4 - Apply patch
5 - Note that opac and staff advanced search have option to apply weights
6 - Compare searches after the patch to see how weighting affects, it should be beneficial or not at all

commit 417553a9e4
Bug 12478: starting to add search to staff client

This commit added code related to the itemtypes to the advanced search, but this code already existed.

The weird bit is:
$template->param(advancedsearchesloop => \@advancedsearchesloop);
my $types = C4::Context->preference("AdvancedSearchTypes") || "itemtypes";
my $advancedsearchesloop = prepare_adv_search_types($types);
$template->param(advancedsearchesloop => $advancedsearchesloop);

We are passing twice advancedsearchesloop to the template.

Bug 24347: Add a 'search to order' option similar to 'search to hold'
This patch modifes the process of searching for an existing record
to add to a basket. Now the search is performed as a keyword search in
the regular catalog rather than via a custom search script. Options are
added to the search results and detail pages to add results to an order.

This process follows the same pattern as the "Search to hold" feature:
When the search is initiated, a cookie is set with the requisite
information--in this case vendor id and basket number.

If the search results or bibliographic detail pages detect that a
"searchToOrder" cookie is present, the correct "Add order" link will be
shown. Like with the "search to hold" feature, the cookie expires in 10
minutes.

To test, apply the patch and log into the staff client as a user who has
permission to add to a basket in acquisitions.

 - Go to Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Basket -> Add to basket.
 - Using the "From an existing record" option, perform a search.
 - On the search results page, test the "Add order" link which appears
with each result. Clicking the link should take you to the "New
order" page for the correct vendor and basket. The catalog
details section of the form should include the correct information.
 - From the search results page view the bibliographic details page for
any record. There should be a new toolbar button, "Add order." Verify
   that it works correctly.
   - Test the same thing from all bibliographic detail pages: Normal,
MARC, Labeled MARC, ISBD, as well as the items page
     (moredetail.pl).
 - Test this process for both the locations in acquisitions where one
can add to an existing basket: Vendor search results and the basket
   detail page
 - Test the cookie timeout: Wait 10 minutes and perform another catalog
search. The "Add order" link should no longer be present.

Bug 20589: Add field boosting and use query_string fields parameter
Generate a list of fields for the query_string query fields parameter,
with possible boosts, instead of using "_all"-field. Also add "search"
flag in search_marc_to_field table so that certain mappings can be
excluded from searches. Add option to include/exclude fields in
query_string "fields" parameter depending on searching in OPAC or staff
client. Refactor code to remove all other dependencies on "_all"-field.

How to test:
1) Reindex authorities and biblios.
2) Search biblios and try to verify that this works as expected.
3) Search authorities and try to verify that this works as expected.
4) Go to "Search engine configuration"
5) Change some "Boost", "Staff client", and "OPAC" settings and save.
6) Verify that those settings where saved accordingly.
7) Click the "Biblios" or "Authorities" tab and change one or more
   "Searchable" settings
8) Verfiy that those settings where saved accordingly.
9) Try to verify that these settings has taken effect by peforming

Bug 19618: Add ability to place holds for members of a club in intranet
This patch adds the ability to place a hold for each member of a club in random order.

To test:
1) apply this patch
2) create 2 clubs, (club names should have some part in common, and some part different for each other)
3) in one of them add at least 6 members
4) enter patron clubs management and click on "Actions" button
SUCCESS.1 => club with members has a new action called "search to hold"
5) click on search to hold
SUCCESS.2 => in the list of bilios there appears an action called "Place hold for <club name>"
6) click on "Place hold for <club name>"
SUCCESS.3 => a new window appears where you can select pickup location (defaults to club's library, if any), and the list of members.
7) go back to the list of bilios in the catalog and click on "Forget <club name>"
8) click on "Holds" action of any biblio
SUCCESS.4 => a search box appears with two tabs: Patrons and Clubs
9) click on Clubs tab and search by the common part of clubs names
SUCCESS.5 => a list of clubs that matches the search appears. If you click on any of them, the same page as SUCCESS.3 appears.
10) go back to the search box in SUCCESS.4 and search by the different part of the name.
SUCCESS.6 => because there is only one club that matches search criteria, the same page as SUCCESS.3 appears;
11) Sign off

Bug 14419: Expanding facets (Show more) performs a new search
This patch removes the constraint of only passing 5 facets to the template unless the list is expanded, in fact, it removes the 'expanded' attribute from Search.pm
Now that all facets are passed to page it adds a 'show more' link at the bottom of lists and allows user to expand or collapse any facet set without reloading page.

Updated tests included.

To test:
1 - Perform an OPAC search that returns more than 5 of any given facet type
2 - Click the "Show more" link on the facets and see that the search is reloaded
3 - Apply patch
4 - Repeat search
5 - Note that you can click "Show more" without reloading page
6 - Test that page load is not greatly affected
7 - Ensure that all facet links function normally
8 - Ensure that facets are the same a prior to patch
9 - Repeat for staff client
10 - Prove t/Search.t

NOTE: This patch makes it much easier to see that there is an existing issue with marking the "active" facet. Ending punctuation seems to confuse the matcher.

Script search.pl checks OPACdefaultSortField and OPACdefaultSortOrder, but
shows defaultSortField and defaultSortOrder when using Advanced Search

Test plan:
Apply the patch and then check that the Advanced Search uses
defaultSortOrder and defaultSortField sysprefs instead of the OPAC
sysprefs in the conditional. Check that sort behaviour in Advanced
Search still functions as expected. (It should do - this doesn't change
what displays, just improves consistency).
