See comment on former patch too. We need to activate the spinner
early and we can simplify the code to remove it.
Note: unfortunately this is kind of a workaround, since using
load would be nicer but currently hard to implement since the cover
image code is scattered/widespread.
This code still checks the complete attribute, we could argue that
it should just remove the spinner. Note too that the spinner belongs
to a div where multiple img may be part of. If we do not remove the
spinner now, something went wrong at load time, but if you can
actually see the spinner is another thing.
Test plan:
See former patch.
Check few cover images on detail page, enable various providers.
Bonus: I tested with a sleep statement in opac-image.pl.

We noticed that if the cover image is somewhat short (i.e. the height is under 80-90 px), the loading spinner indicating that the image is currently loading still appears after the image is loaded.
this patch remove the spinner when the image is loaded,.
To test:
1. Make sure the OPACLocalCoverImages system preference is enabled
1.1. Go to Administration > Global system preferences
1.2. Search for Coverimages
1.3. Set OPACLocalCoverImages to 'Show'
1.4. Click 'Save all Enhanced content preferences'
2. Add a short local cover image to a record (I added one which is just a grey rectangle with the size printed on it, to facilitate the test)
2.1. Download the attached image
2.2. Find a record without an image
2.3. Click the 'Images' tab
2.4. Click 'Upload'
2.5. Click 'Drop files here or click to select a file' and choose the downloaded image
2.6. Click 'Process images'
3. View the record in the OPAC
3.1. From the image upload page, click on the title of the record in the page heading to access the detailed record in the staff interface
3.2. Click on 'OPAC view: Open in new window.'
--> Note that the image is displayed normally, but the spinner is also displayed
4. Apply the patch
5. View the record in the OPAC
--> Note that the spinner is no more displayed

This needs a follow-up; the code in this template activates the spinner
actually when the job has been done already and did not remove it.
And we did not see that but only with a short image like above.
The construction with .one, .each is not needed given the execution
context.

This enhancement adds the ability for patrons to dismiss an OPAC
message, marking it as read to remove it from their summary page.
To test:
1) Update database and restart services
2) Log into the staff interface and go to your patron account
3) Click the Add message button
4) Add a message for the OPAC and Save
5) Log into the OPAC. Note there is a message on the homepage saying you
have a message. Go to your user summary and confirm the message
displays.
6) Click the button to dismiss the message. A confirmation box should
pop up - hitting Cancel should stop the action.
7) Dismiss the message again and this time Confirm. Make sure the
message is gone from the OPAC user summary and from the homepage.
8) Confirm tests pass t/db_dependent/Koha/Patron/Messages.t
9) Create a few more messages for the OPAC
10) Log into the OPAC and dismiss one of the messages
11) Confirm the count of unread messages on the OPAC home page is

variable to adapt the link to either staff or OPAC.
To test:
* Enable UseControlNumber system preference
* Create a record with the following fields:
490 1 _ ‡aEffective software development series
830 _ 0 ‡aEffective software development series.‡w13736978
$w can be anything for this use case or another $w from your catalog.
Easiest might be to enable the Advanced cataloguing editor to be
able to insert these lines easily. If you are using the sample data,
the example shoudl work as is.
* Save the record and open it in the staff interface and the OPAC
* The link in the OPAC should be broken, staff should work

2. Click on the cart to display its content.
3. Click on More details
=> error 500
4. Apply the patch, and repeat 3.

This patch corrects what appear to be some copy-paste errors which
resulted in the "not for loan" authorized value description not
displaying, instead the generic "Not for loan" is shown.
The patch also adds another case for displaying the item restricted
status. Previously items.restricted would only display if the item
*also* had a notforloan value.
To test it's probably easiest to find a record with multiple items and
set various item statuses (damaged, notforloan, lost, restricted) and
confirm that the right description is shown.

This patch adds back the responsive styles of the tables on the OPAC summary page. This includes all of the following tables that may appear:
opac-user-checkouts
opac-user-relative-issues
opac-user-overdues
opac-user-fines
opac-user-relative-fines
opac-user-clubs
opac-user-holds
opac-user-recalls
opac-user-article-requests
opac-user-overdrive
opac-user-recordedbooks
To test:
1) Make sure you have checkouts in your account
2) Log into the OPAC
--> In 'Your summary' current checkouts are in a table
3) Go to 'You checkout history'
--> Current and previous checkouts are in a table
4) Switch to mobile view (in Firefox, Ctrl + Shift + M)
--> Checkout history is still in a table and the last column is not entirely visible (depending on the content of the columns, I suppose)
5) Go to 'Your summary'
--> Current checkouts are presented in list form instead of a table
6) Apply patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS ( https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_interface )
7) Try the tables again, they should appear in a list form when the screen is smaller than 608px.

This new feature shows a patron how much they have saved by using the
library rather than purchasing items. Savings are calculated based on
item replacement prices. The system preference allows you to choose
where to display the savings - the user page, the summary box on the
OPAC homepage, or the checkout history page.
To test:
1. Update database and restart services
2. Confirm the new OPACShowSavings system preference is found in the
OPAC tab of Administration -> global system preferences. There should be
no options selected.
3. Find a patron with a checkout history, or check out a few items to a
patron.
4. Test with different values of OPACShowSavings and confirm that
savings are shown in the expected places.

Bug 28179 added the gallery in the staff interface, and bug 28180 in the
OPAC.
OPAC and staff have different code, because the cover image providers
are different.
On bug 28180 we noticed that the OPAC needed additional code to handle
OpenLibrary, Google Jacket and Coce, to differ the creation of the
gallery to prevent Chocolat to be instantiated before the links (img src)
are effectively in the DOM.
To acchieve that we introduced a wait_for_images function, and added a
"done" flag to the 3 "JS modules".
However we haven't ported this code for the staff interface, which is
also using Coce.
Note that there was a bug at the OPAC as well for COCE, the ajax jQuery
function is async, and so 'done' was set even if the call was not
finished.
Test plan:
0. Do not apply this patch
1. Enable LocalCoverImages and IntranetCoce
2. Pick a bibliographic record with an image returned from Coce
3. Add a local cover image
4. Go to the detail page
5. Open the gallery
=> Notice that you can notice a JS error and a loading icon on the
second image. This behaviour is not always broken, it depends on the
speed of the Coce server. If you don't see the problem reload the page.
6. Apply the patch and repeat
=> Notice that the cover slider block is longer to display the icon, but
that the error is gone.
7. Confirm that there is no regression at the OPAC
We could improve the situation here, and we could display the images
in the slider, especially if the first image is a local image. But
that's for another bug...

impractical to use a header for passing DB queries that could contain

item entry and the link sends you to the catalogue page for the record
in the OPAC.
11. go to the list you added the record to. confirm you see the 'source'
link for the host item entry.
12. click 'send list' to email the list. confirm the email contains the
host item entry and the link sends you to the catalogue page for the
record in the OPAC.
13. log into the OPAC. repeat steps 7 to 12 on the OPAC and confirm they
all pass as expected.
14. Confirm host item info also shows correctly on the
OPAC and staff client search results, and the OPAC and staff client
detail pages (where XSLT is used)
15. Delete the 773$w and confirm host item info still shows correctly

There is a logic mistake in the opac-sendshelf.tt template where
we test if the "ISBN" key exists in the "BIBLIO_RESULT" hash when
we should really be testing if the arrayref returned by "ISBN" is
empty or not, since that "ISBN" key always exists and contains at least
an empty arrayref.
Test plan:
1. Apply patch and restart your Koha Starman
2. Create a public list containing records with 020 MARC fields and
records without 020 MARC fields
3. View the list in the OPAC
4. Click "Send list" and email it to yourself

Images shown in the OPAC and staff interface when the
OPACCustomCoverImages and CustomCoverImages preferences are enabled
should be getting a max-width set in the current CSS, but the order of
the declarations is preventing the correct specificity.
This patch moves the CSS to the correct place in each file so that the
max-width is applied.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild both the staff and OPAC CSS. If you
get an error during the build process you may need to run 'yarn
install.'
- Go to Administration -> System preferences, and enable the
OPACCustomCoverImages and CustomCoverImages preferences.
- If you're testing with the default test database you can set the
CustomCoverImagesURL preference to
https://static.myacpl.org/public/covers/{normalized_isbn}.jpg
- Perform a catalog search in both OPAC and staff client limiting by
itemtype = 'Book'.
- The search results in both interface should show several covers
supplied from the external URL.
- In the staff client, these images should be limited to 140px wide even
if the source image is larger.
- In the OPAC, view the detail page for one of the results with cover
images. The image shown on the detail page should be constrained to
140px wide even if the source image is larger.

When creating a new pickup the dates in the past won't display any
available slots. It would be better to disable them in the date picker.
Test plan:
Setup curbside pickups for your library (see bug 30650 test plan if
needed)
Create a new pickup (staff and OPAC) and confirm that the date picker widget
has the dates in the past disabled.
QA note: More work would be needed to sync calendar.inc code between

We disable dates from the date picker that do not have slots defined in
the configuration.
Note that dates that have slots configured but none are available will
still be displayed. To implement that we would need to calculate the
availability for all the dates displayed on the widget (1 month) and
that will (certainly) slow down considerabily the UI.
Test plan:
Configure curbside pickup for a given library. Define slots for several
days of the week (not all).
Schedule a pickup and confirm that only the days with slots defined are
available in the date picker widget

The date input is always disabled and it's not possible to select or enter a date.
git bisect blames "Bug 30718: Apply flatpickr changes to OPAC" and "altInput: true"
I don't really know what's happening here, but it's impossible to
interact with the date widget if the input is disabled when it's

The solution I have here is to play with hide/show instead of disabled.

This patch adds a third option 'branch only' to the
OPACResultsUnavailableGroupBy system preference. This option will group
unavailable items by branch in the OPAC search results and NOT show
individual callnumbers or substatuses.
Note: This assumes OPACXSLTResultsDisplay is set to default.

Item A: Branch A
Item B: Branch A
Item C: Branch B
2. Check out Item A to yourself
3. Edit Item B to have a lost status
4. Go to Administration -> global system preferences. Search for
OPACResultsUnavailableGroupingBy.
5. By default, this preference will be set to 'branch'.
6. Open the OPAC in another tab, and search for your record.

9. Go back to your OPAC tab and search for your record. Confirm the
search results shows an Availability line with "Not available: Checked

Do not list library in masthead and advanced search if branches.public is false

This patch ensures HoldFeeMode is considered when displaying a message
to patrons on the OPAC that says they'll be charged a hold fee when
placing or collecting the hold.
When HoldFeeMode is set to not_always or "only if all items are checked
out and the record has at least one hold already" then the hold fee
message should only show if all items on the record are checked out, AND
the record has at least one hold already - both of these conditions must
be met.
To test:
1. Go to Administration -> Patron categories
2. Edit your patron category and give a hold fee of $1.
3. Go to Administration -> System preferences and search for
HoldFeeMode. Set to 'only if all items are checked out and the record
has at least one hold already' if not already set. Keep this tab open.
4. In another tab, open the OPAC.
5. Search the OPAC for a record with one item which is NOT checked out.
6. Go to place a hold on this record. Confirm you see a message saying
that you will be charged a hold fee, even though not all items are
checked out and the record does not have a hold --> This is the bug.
7. Apply patch and restart services.

This patch adds the class "itypetext" around item type descriptions so
they can easily be hidden with CSS.
To test:
1. Navigate to the pages listed below to confirm that the text
descriptions do show.
2. Add
.itypetext { display:none; }
to IntranetUserCSS and OPACUserCSS system preferences and save.
3. Go back to the pages listed below and confirm that the text
descriptions DO NOT show.

I'll try to keep the test plan simple:
* Go to patron account in OPAC
* Verify that the your from the beginning of the tab
descriptions has been removed
Bonus: This moves the Recalls history tab below the Holds history
as this is the more logical place for it.

This patch attemps to simplify the list of holds by moving the form for
changing a hold's pickup library into a modal dialog.
This patch also makes minor tweaks to the CSS for the "X" close button
shown in modal in windows. Instances where modal markup used "x" have
been updated to use the Bootstrap 4 standard "×"
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC
SCSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client)
- Turn on the OPACAllowUserToChangeBranch system preference.
- Log in to the OPAC as a user with holds.
- In the view of your holds, confirm that each hold which can be
modified shows a "Change" link.
- Clicking the link should show a modal window with the title of the
item on hold shown in the header.
- Confirm that changing the pickup location works correctly.

This patch allows users to change the pickup location for their holds
from the opac. A syspref (OPACAllowUserToChangeBranch) controls at what
stage a hold can be changed.
To test:
1. Set up holds with diffrent statuses for a patron (pending, waiting,
in transit, suspended)
2. No pickup locations for any hold should be able to be changed.
3. Turn on and off the different options under
OPACAllowUserToChangeBranch. Make sure that only the corresponding
holds can be changed from the opac. Check eg in the staff client that
pickup location has changed.
4. The available pickup locations should respect any transfer
restrictions. (Same as the
holds list for a biblio in staff client)
5. For an in-transit hold: Check in the item at the original pickup
location.
6. Note that it will be redirected to the new location.

This patch makes a correction to the output of OPAC browse results. In
the numbered result navigation links, a title tag on each
navigation link should contain the title of the record. The link for the
current title didn't include the title information in the title tag
because it used the wrong template variables.
To test, apply the patch and make sure OpacBrowseResults is enabled.
- In OPAC, perform a search that will return multiple results.
- View one of the results.
- In the right-hand sidebar, click "Browse results."
- In the list of numbered links at the top of the panel, hover your
mouse over each link. They should each display a tooltip with "View
record [title]"
- Confirm that the current title in the list includes the correct
tooltip.

Without this patch the constructed search link would give wrong
results with Elasticsearch. If you searched for records linked
to authority id 3 it would also turn up all other records linked
to an authority where the id started with 3...
This just copies the more specific link using an,phr used in the
staff interface and the OPAC detail page to make things consistent
To test:
- Turn on Elasticsearch
- Search for authorities in the OPAC
- Locate a authority with a low ID in your result list
- Note the number of linked records
- Click on the link
- It will give you more results than it said before
- Verify results don't match your search
- Apply patch
- Try again - now it should all match up

Fixing the "( total)" in the caption of the table.
The tt var should be replaced now by current_article_requests.size.
Note that current_article_requests is an array now (from as_list).
We cannot use .count since it is no Koha object.
Test plan:
Submit a few article requests.
Check OPAC account page, and verify that both totals are fine now.

Introduce a suggestionPatronCategoryExceptions system preference.
If the suggestion syspref is enabled then libraries can stop specific
borrower types from making suggestions by ticking the type in the
suggestionPatronCategoryExceptions syspref.
Test plan:
1. Apply patches, update database, re-start services
2. Set 'suggestion' syspref = 'Allow'
3. Confirm you can view the purchase suggestion links on OPAC biblio detail
page & 'your summary' page. As well as successfully submit a suggestion.
4. Select the patron category you're logged in as in
suggestionPatronCategoryExceptions syspref
5. Confirm the purchase suggestion links are hidden in the OPAC biblio
detail page & 'your summary' page
6. In your browser enter the link: <OPAC base URL>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-suggestions.pl
e.g. http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/opac-suggestions.pl
7. Confirm a 404 page loads
8. Confirm you can view/moderate suggestions in the staff
client - even though your patron is selected in the
suggestionPatronCategoryExceptions syspref
9. Untick your patron category in the suggestionPatronCategoryExceptions syspref
10. Confirm you can view the purchase suggestion links on the OPAC, as
well as successfully submit a suggestion.
11. Set 'suggestion' syspref = "Don't allow"
12. Confirm the purchase suggestion links are hidden in the OPAC
13. Select all patron categories in suggestPatronCategoryExceptions
syspref. View the OPAC without logging in and confirm you can perform

This patch fixes the 'cancel selected recalls' button on the biblio
details Recalls page, and ensures a correct cancellation reason is
logged when cancelling a recall in transit.
To test:
1) Ensure UseRecalls is enabled and relevant recalls circulation rules
are set
2) Check out Item A to Patron B
3) Log into OPAC as Patron A
4) Search for Item A and place a recall
5) Go back to the staff interface and search for Item A. When viewing
the biblio record, go to the recalls tab.
6) Check the checkbox for your recall, and click the button to cancel
selected recalls.
7) Confirm your recall is successfully removed and you're redirected to
the correct recalls page for this biblio.
8) Go back to the OPAC and place a recall again. This time set the
pickup location to a different library, one that you're not logged in at
9) Back in the staff interface, check in Item A and confirm the recall
and transfer
10) Go to Circulation -> Recalls to pull. Your recall should show here.
Click the button to cancel the recall and revert the transfer
11) Confirm the recall has been cancelled
12) Go to Reports and create a new SQL report with the following SQL:
select * from branchtransfers b join items i on
b.itemnumber=i.itemnumber where i.barcode = <<barcode>>
13) Run the report and paste the barcode of Item A in the field
14) Confirm there are two rows returned - the transfer triggered when
the recall was confirmed, with a reason of 'Recall' and a cancellation
reason of 'RecallCancellation, and the transfer sending the item back
home when the recall was cancelled, with a reason of
'RecallCancellation'.
