This patch replaces the use of jQueryUI's datepicker on reports pages.
To test, apply the patch and test the following reports pages to confirm
that datepickers work correctly. "Linked" date fields should prevent a
"to" selection which preceeds the selected "from" date.
- Acquisitions statistic wizard: Linked pairs of fields for
"placed on" and "received on."
- Patrons with the most checkouts: Linked pairs of fields for
"Checkout date from" and "Check-in date from"
- Patrons who haven't checked out: "Not checked out since"
field.
- Cash register statistics wizard: Linked "From" and "To"
fields.
- Most-circulated items: Linked pairs of fields for
"Checkout date from" and "Check-in date from"
- Catalog statistics wizard: Linked pairs of fields for "Date acquired
(item)" and "Date deleted (item)" The latter is shown by checking the
"Count deleted items" radio button.
- View dictionary -> New definition:
- Enter a definition name
- Select table Circulation
- Choose a date column, e.g. "Date of birth" or "Registration date"
- Select "Date range"
- Test that the "Start of date range" and "End of date range" fields
are linked correctly.
- Create guided report:
- Module: catalog
- Type: Tabular
- Select columns (any)
- Select criteria to limit on: There should be three pairs of linked
fields, "Creation date," "Modification date," and "Due date."
- Confirm that the report is saved correctly with the dates you chose.
- Create from SQL -> Test a report with one or more date
fields, e.g. https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SQL_Reports_Library#Items_added_by_Collection
- Average loan time: Linke pairs of fields for "Checkout
date" and "Returns."
- Reports -> Circulation statistics wizard: Linked "Period" fields.
- Reports -> Holds statistics wizard: Linked pairs of fields "Hold
date," "Notification date," "Reminder date," "Waiting date," and
"Cancellation date."

This patch corrects three errors in the original Flatpickr introduction
patch:
- Missing document.ready() in borrowers_stats.tt.
- Redundant calendarFirstDayOfWeek setting in caregories.js
- Missing preventDefault() in calendar.inc
The first two issues don't appear to cause any malfunction but are best
practices. The third issue can cause the page to scroll unexpectedly.
To reproduce this bug, go to (for instance) Administration -> Patron
categories -> New category.
- If necessary, narrow the height of your browser window so that there
is a vertical scrollbar.
- Scroll down the page so that the "Until date" field is at the top.
- Click the "X" next to the field.
- The page will scroll to the top.
Apply the patch and test again. The page jump should not occur.

This patch is a proof of concept demonstrating how jQueryUI date & time
pickers could be replaced using the Flatpickr library
(https://flatpickr.js.org/).
NEW: I've modified the default configuration of Flatpickr instances so
that a "Clear date" link is automatically appended. This eliminates the
need to add a button to the markup and event handling for each case.
NEW: Date/time formatting should be corrected in this revised patch.
The patch modifies three pages as test cases:
- Circulation -> Renew (with SpecifyDueDates enabled), to demonstrate
date and time selection.
- NEW: You can also test the datepicker shown when you renew an
on-hold item. This demonstrates a configuration which requires that
the selection be after today.
- Administration -> Patron categories -> New category, to demonstrate a
calendar-only date picker enforcing a date after today.
- NEW: Reports -> Patrons. The "Date of birth" fields are linked so
that the second cannot be before the first.
I've made some customizations to the default Flatpickr library's CSS and
incorporated it into staff-global.scss, so you must rebuild the staff
client SCSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).

This patch updates the in-template JavaScript so that some English
strings which were previously untranslatable. This patch wraps them in
the _() function.
To test, apply the patch and test that the correct strings are
translatable. In this example I'm testing fr-FR:
- Update a translation:
> gulp po:update
> cd misc/translator
> perl translate update fr-FR
- Open the corresponding .po file for the strings pulled from
JavaScript e.g. misc/translator/po/fr-FR-staff-prog.po
- Locate strings pulled from reports/guided_reports_start.tt for
translation, e.g.:
#: koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/reports/guided_reports_start.tt:1324
#, fuzzy, c-format
msgid "Authorized value category:"
msgstr "Catégorie de valeur autorisée : "
- Edit the "msgstr" string if necessary, or remove the "fuzzy," before
"c-format"
- Install the updated translation:
> perl translate install fr-FR
In the staff interface, switch to the language you're testing. Confirm
that your translated strings appear. In this case, test in particular:
- The controls on the modal window when you preview a report's SQL from
the list of saved reports.
- The controls and modal dialog for inserting a runtime parameter.

This patch adds a button menu to the SQL report CodeMirror editor for
inserting runtime parameters. Each menu item triggers a modal dialog
where the user can specify a parameter label and any other relevant
option.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff client CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
- Go to Reports -> Use saved.
- Create or edit a report.
- You should see a menu button above the SQL editor field, "Insert
runtime parameter."
- The menu should contain the options "Authorized value," "Date," "Item
types," "Libraries," "Patron categories," and "Text field."
- Test each option. Each should trigger the display of a modal dialog
with a heading which corresponds to your choice.
- In all cases except the "Authorized value" choice you should see a
single form field for "label."
- Enter text in the label field and click the "Insert parameter" button.
- The correct runtime parameter should be inserted into the SQL editor.
- If you placed a cursor somewhere in the SQL editor first, your
parameter should be inserted in that location in the editor.
- If you selected some text in the editor before selecting a
parameter, the paramter should replace the selected text.
- In the case of the "Authorized value" selection, the modal dialog
should include both a label field and a field for choosing an
authorized value category.
- Try submitting the form without selecting an authorized value. It
should warn you that the field is required.
- After testing the authorized value selection, try inserting another
parameter to confirm that the authorized value selection (now hidden)
is no longer required.

This patch removes the "size" attribute from <select> tags where the
value of the attribute is 1. The attribute is unnecessary because the
default value when the attribute is undefined is 1.
This will allow for more careful sizing of <select> tags without a size
attribute while preserving the desired behavior of <select> tags which
have a size greater than 1.

This patch makes the catalog statistics report output a DataTable with
on-the-fly column configuration and export options.
Because the report can generate results with an arbitrary set of table
headers, the columns set to be passed to DataTables is built on the fly

This patch removes the in-page DataTables DOM configuration option so
that the default option is used. This will allow all the standard
controls to appear, including copy/print/export.
Since the default DataTables information includes the number of results
in the table, the template markup showing this information is removed.
To test, apply the patch and go to Reports.
- Run the "Items lost" report using parameters which will return
multiple results.
- On the results page confirm that the standard controls are present:
Result count, search form, columns filter, export buttons.
- Confirm that the "Activate filters" feature works, and that selecting
results activates the option to download a CSV using a CSV export
profile.
Note that the "Activate filters" feature doesn't play well with hidden
columns. However this issue predates the patch.

It's missing in the template
Test plan:
Go go Home › Reports › Guided reports wizard › Dictionary
At step 2, notice that with this patch you have "Serials" in the
dropdown list (instead of an empty entry)

We are preparing the ground with this patch. As the "Columns settings"
page will now add the ability to modify settings for the whole table, it
makes sense to rename the file and the variables.
Note that the controller script (admin/columns_settings.pl) and the yml
(admin/columns_settings.yml) files have not been moved to not break
shortcuts and abits people could have. But if QA decides, it could be
easy to do.

Incorrect markup surrounding Bootstrap dropdown buttons causes display
problems with the buttons are in a DataTable. Dropdown wrapper <div>s
must have a "btn-group" class.
To reproduce the problem, look at the MARC bibliographic frameworks
page. The "Actions" menu when triggered will not line up with the
button.
In almost all cases, dropdown buttons inside tables should also have the
"dropup" class on their wrapper so that the menu appears above the
button. This prevents the menu from disappearing off the bottom of the
window when the button is positioned low in the viewport.
To test, apply the patch and test the button menus in tables on the
following pages:
- Acquisitions -> Invoices
- Acquisitions -> Add to order -> From external source -> Results
- Acquisitions -> Suggestions
- Administration -> Budgets
- Administration -> Funds
- Administration -> Authority types
- Administration -> Authority types -> MARC structure
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic frameworks
- Administration -> MARC bibliographic frameworks -> MARC structure
- Administration -> OAI sets configuration
- Administration -> Z39.50/SRU servers
- Authorities -> Authority search results
- Authorities -> New from Z39.50/SRU -> Search results
- Cataloging -> Edit items
- Cataloging -> New from Z39.50/SRU -> Search results
- Circulation -> Article requests
- Reports -> Saved reports
- Tools -> Patron lists

This patch changes the text of the save button on the final step.
To test:
1) Build a guided report (the selections are immaterial)
2) Note that after you have been through the six stages, the button on
the "Confirm custom report" screen should be labelled "Save"
3) Install patch
4) Repeat Step 1. Note that on the "Confirm custom report" screen, the
button is now labelled "Next".
5) Run the report to check that the functionality still works.

This patch adds a unique id attribute to each checkbox in the table of
saved reports. Also updated is the corresponding <label>'s "for"
attribute so that clicking the report id will toggle the checkbox.
To reproduce, go to Reports -> Use saved and click a number in the ID
column. Nothing happens.
After applying the patch clicking the number should check or uncheck the
corresponding checkbox.

This patch reindents the template for saved reports, replacing tabs with
spaces and making indentation consistent. Some lines have been split up.
To test, apply the patch and go to Reports -> Use saved.
- Test adding, editing, viewing, and running reports
- Test filtering by group and subgroup
- Test the process of adding a guided report
Everything should work as expected.
Use your preferred method for checking the differences between files
while ignoring whitespace. I use diff with the "-w" flag, but I'm not
your dad. The only changes you see should be split lines.
