Here we go, next step then.
As we did not fix the performance issue when autofiltering
the variables (see bug 20975), the only solution we have is to add the
filters explicitely.
This patch has been autogenerated (using add_html_filters.pl, see next
pathces) and add the html filter to all the variables displayed in the
template.
Exceptions are made (using the new 'raw' TT filter) to the variable we
already listed in the previous versions of this patch.
To test:
- Use t/db_dependent/Koha/Patrons.t to populate your DB with autogenerated
data which contain <script> tags
- Remove them from borrower_debarments.comments (there are allowed here)
update borrower_debarments set comment="html tags possible here";
- From the interface hit page and try to catch alert box.
If you find one it means you find a possible XSS.
To know where it comes from:
* note the exact URL where you found it
* note the alert box content
* Dump your DB and search for the string in the dump to identify its
location (for instance table.field)
Next:
* Ideally we would like to use the raw filter when it is not necessary
to HTML escape the variables (in big loop for instance)
* Provide a QA script to catch missing filters (we want html, uri, url
or raw, certainly others that I am forgetting now)
* Replace the html filters with uri when needed (!)

This patch adds a more obvious way of see which search terms have been
submitted to filter the table of saved reports.
The patch also moves embedded CSS into a separate file.
To test you should have multiple saved reports.
- Apply the patch and go to Reports -> Use saved.
- Filter the table of reports by submitting one or more terms in the
sidebar "Filter" form.
- Confirm that the terms you submit are shown at the top of the table of
results.

This patch modifies the template for the lost items report to change the
way it handles a missing CSV profile. Now, if there is a missing CSV
profile, a message is displayed with details about the profile
requirements. If the logged-in user has the right permission there is a
link to the CSV profiles page.
Since item selection is used only in conjunction with exporting results,
item selection controls are all hidden when there is no valid CSV
profile.
To test, apply the patch go to Reports -> Lost items.
- Run the report with parameters which will return results.
- If your system has no CSV profile for exporting lost items:
- If you are logged in as a user with manage_csv_profiles permission:
- You should see a message dialog instructing you to create a CSV
profile with a link to the CSV profiles page.
- If you are not logged in as a user with manage_csv_profiles
permission:
- You should see a similar message but without a link to the CSV
profiles page.
- In both cases, with no CSV profile defined there should be no
checkboxes in the table of results and no "select all/clear all"
controls.
- If your system has a valid CSV profile for exporting lost items:
- Checking the checkbox for one or more items in the table should
trigger the display of an "Export selected items" link.

This patch changes the configuration of the saved reports table so that
columns which were previously excluded from the table altogether are now
hidden. This prevents a JavaScript error when DataTables tries to
reference a missing column.
To test, apply the patch and go to Reports -> Use saved. You should have
at least one report category configured and assigned to reports in order
for the tabs display to be visible.
Test the table of saved reports under a variety of these circumstances:
- memcached disabled or enabled
- reports exist or don't exist which require update from the old
marcxml syntax
- cache_expiry and/or update columns are configured in Administration
-> Columns settings to be shown or hidden
The report category tabs and the table should render correctly under all
circumstances.

Having to write [% KOHA_VERSION %] for each url is bad because:
- It's easily forgettable when adding new <script> or <link>
- It prevents grep'ing for the full filename
- It violates the DRY principle
- If at some point we want to change the "force js and css reload"
mechanism, it will be tedious
This patch:
- adds a Template::Toolkit plugin that generates <script> and
<link> tags for JS and CSS files, and inserts automatically the Koha
version in the filename
- use the new plugin to remove all occurences of [% KOHA_VERSION %]
- remove the code that was adding KOHA_VERSION as a template variable
Test plan:
1. Apply patch
2. Go to several different pages in Koha (opac and intranet) while
checking your browser's dev tools (there should be no 404 for JS and
CSS files, and the Koha version should appear in filenames) and the
server logs (there should be no "File not found")
3. `git grep KOHA_VERSION` should return nothing
4. prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Template/Plugin/Asset.t

3 - Apply patch
4 - Update database
5 - Run report, note you are asked for three params
6 - Verify the results reflect the supplied parameters
7 - Export the report and verify results
8 - Alter the URL and provide 5 params as sql_params and no param_name
variables i.e.

Finally we add the ability to export the list of lost items.
The items will be export in CSV format using a CSV profile defined.
Test plan:
0/ Apply all the patches from this patch set
1/ Define a CSV profile (type=SQL, Usage=Export lost items in report)
Try something like that to get the same columns as the default table:
Title=biblio.title
|Author=biblio.author
|Lost status=items.itemlost
|Lost on=items.itemlost_on
|Barcode=items.barcode
|Call number=items.itemcallnumber
|Date last seen=items.datelastseen
|Price=items.price
|Rep. price=items.replacementprice
|Library=items.homebranch
|item type=items.itype
|Current location=items.holdingbranch
|Location=items.location
|Not for loan status=items.notforloan
|Notes=items.itemnotes
2/ Use the filters and select items to export
3/ Export the list of items you want and make sure the CSV is correctly
formatted and contains the items you selected
QA Notes:
- I think we should add default CSV profiles for the different "usage",
but I would consider it as a separate enhancement since none of them is
defined yet
- Most of the code to export CSV is no reusable. We should make
Koha::Exporter::Record support CSV export for type=SQL (it only
supports MARC type so far).

It has always annoyed me that you had to look at the help to divine the url for a report.
This patch works it out and displays it for you in a new column on the saved reports table.
Requirements:
- OPACBaseURL and staffClientBaseURL preferences must be set for the urls to be complete. It's ok if they are not, but it's better if they are.
- You must have a saved report that is public to your OPAC, and one that is not public.
To test:
- create a public saved report and a private staff report. They can be anything.
- view the saved reports page, note that under a new heading of JSON URL the link to the json feed for that report shows.
- copying and pasting that link into the address bar, or clicking it, should take you to the results of the selected report.

I am going to try and explain the problem here in order to make it a
have-to-read for next changes.
There are several things to test when and most of the time we break
something when we try to fix something else.
You have to test different CSV export, not only one. There are not all
processed the same way. For instance acqui/csv/basket.tt does not
contain any strings to translate and the translate script will copy the
original file as it.
But reports/csv/orders_by_budget.tt will not! Indeed it contains "TOTAL"
which will be translated. The generated tt file for the translated
language will remove all the carriage returns! That's why we cannot rely
on TT for newlines (contrary to bug 16914 assumption).
There are two possible methods:
1/ Fix the translate script
=> Hum... nope
2/ Remove all carriage returns and make them explicit by including an
file that only contains 1 carriage return
This second method is implemented in this patch.
How it works: Use the PRE_CHOMP "[%-" and POST_CHOMP "-%]"
to remove all the newlines that could be added by TT in the original
(en) files. Then include the new_line.inc to add a new line.
That way original and translated files will behave the same way.
The BLOCK in the csv_headers avoid to have the newlines added, in any
cases. For instance: by default we will have an empty line at the end of
the headers, but the translated headers will not have it.
Test plan:
At least 2 signoffs will be needed, please test carefully!
You will need to generate CSV with at least 2 entries!
Test with the non-translated interface (en) and with the language you
want. To test with a translated language you will *have to*:
- cd misc/translator
- perl translate update LANG
- manually edit the po file, remove the fuzzy tags, correctly translate
the string (do not forget the additional %s in the headers)
- perl translate install LANG
1/ Export basket and basketgroup as CSV
2/ Export late orders as CSV
3/ Export items (from the item search) as CSV
4/ Export the 2 reports "Orders by fund" and "Cash register" as CSV

To test, apply the patch and go to Reports -> Use saved.
Test the re-ordering of the creation date, last edit, and last run
columns. Each should sort correctly based on the date.

This patch reformats the SQL conversion before-and-after view so that it
shows a diff between the two, just as the Manage MARC Import interface
does.
This patch also makes a correction to the JavaScript which is triggered
by the closing of the modal. In Bootstrap 3 "hidden.bs.modal" is the
event name instead of "hidden."
To test, apply the patch and find an SQL report in your reports library
which requires updating.
- Click the "Update SQL" button.
- In the modal window, the "existing" and "updated" SQL should be shown
side-by-side with colored highlighting of the differece.
- Confirm that the "Update" button still works correctly.
- Also confirm that if you open the preview of another report, the
"Close" button hides the modal and updates the contents of the modal
markup. Use your browser's DOM inspector to confirm that <div
class="modal-body"> contains only <div id="loading"> and its contents.
Revision moves inline style attributes to CSS block.

To reproduce for saved reports:
- Go to Home > Reports > Guided reports wizard
- Create a report with double quotes in it's name, e.g. 'My "double quoted" report'
- Go to "Saved reports", locate in the list the new report (name is correct here,
is correct in database as well)
- From the selection button at the right choose "Edit"
- Result: Content of edit field for the report name is truncated (displays only: 'My')
To reproduce for Reports dictionary:
- Go to Home > Reports > Guided reports wizard
- Create a new definition, give it the name 'The "double quoted" definition' and enter
a text with double quotes for "Description"
- Save
- Verify that in the list of definitions both name and descriptions are truncated
(in database as well)

Fixes the 'Average loan time' report so that the system
preference setting item-level_itypes is taken into account.
Before the patch, the report was always using the biblio
level itemtype. With the patch, it will depend on the pref
setting.
To test:
- Run various reports, compare results with both
possible pref settings
- Try limiting your search in various ways, especially
on a specific itemtype
- Make sure you switch checkboxes in testing,
using itemtype as the row or as the column
Notes:
- Filtering on a specific itemtype on master was not working
if the itemtype was chosen as column. The patch should fix that.
- Fixes headings and breadcrumbs so that the name of the report
is the same as on the reports start page

The JOIN done by this subroutine are not always useful (depending on
item-level_itypes). They also search with LIKE when it is not needed.
Since we have now Koha::Items, we can replace this subroutine with a
call to Koha::Items->search with the correct parameters.
A change in previous behaviours can happen: If a items.itemlost contains
a value that is not defined as a LOST authorised value, the item will
not be displayed. I think it's the expected behaviour, even if it should
not happen in correctly configured installations.
Test plan:

Bug 17196 move the marcxml out of the biblioitems table.
That will break SQL reports using it.
It would be handy to propose an automagically way to convert the SQL
reports.
We do not want to update the reports automatically without user inputs,
it will be too hasardous.
However we can lead the user to convert them.
In this patchset I suggest to warn the user if a report is subject to be
updated.
TODO: Add a way to mark this job done (using a pref?) to remove the
check and not to display false positives.
Test plan:
- Create some SQL reports (see https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SQL_Reports_Library)
- Go on the report list page (/reports/guided_reports.pl?phase=Use saved)
- For the reports using biblioitems.marcxml you will see a new column
warning you that it is obsolete
- Click on update link
=> that will open a modal with the converted SQL query
- Click on the update button
=> you will be informed that the query has been updated
If all the reports are updated, the new column "Update" will no longer
be displayed.

The previous query was wrong. If an item type did not contain the
translation in the interface's language, the ->search_with_localization
did not return it at all.
What we need is definitely to add a second condition on the join.
For reference:

2)Changed datepicker properly
3)We have to fill in two dates not to be flooded with old entries if we don't want to.
4)The first two fieldsets are now in one bigger field set

8)Used Text::CSV::Encoded to generate the CSV file (used guided_reports.pl as an example)
9)I am not sure if using C4::Reports::Guided is the right choice here. I instead used the same column names as the one recieved by the query in cash_register_stats because this report uses columns from 5 different tables in addition of using both firstname and surname twice.

This is the fourth and last patch set to remove C4::Branch.
The real purpose of this patch is to standardise and refactor some code
which is related to the libraries selection/display.
Its unconfessed purpose is to remove the C4::Branch package.
Before this patch set, only 6 subroutines still existed in the C4::Branch
package:
- GetBranchName
- GetBranchesLoop
- mybranch
- onlymine
- GetBranches
- GetBranch
GetBranchName basically returns the branchname for a given branchcode.
The branchname is only used for a display purpose and we don't need to
retrieve it in package or pl scripts (unless for a few exceptions).
We have a `Branches` template plugin with a `GetName` method which does
exactly this job.
To achieve this removal, we will use this template plugin and delete the
GetBranchName from pl and pm files.
The `Branches.all()` will now select the library of the logged in user
if no `selected` parameter has been passed.
This new behavior could cause regressions, for instance there are some
places where we do not want an option preselected (batch item
modification for instance), keep that in mind when testing.
GetBranchesLoop took 3 parameters: $branch and $onlymine.
The first one was used to set a "selected" flag, for a display purpose:
select an option in the libraries dropdown lists.
The second one was useless: If not passed or set to 0, the
`C4::Branch::onlymine` subroutine was called.
This onlymine flag was use to know if the logged in user was able to see
other libraries infos.
A patron can see the infos from other libraries if IndependentBranches
is not set OR if he has the superlibrarian permission.
Prior to this patch set, the "onlymine test" was done on different
places (neworderempty.pl, additem.pl, holidays.pl, etc.), including the
Branches TT plugin. In this patch set, this test is only done on one
place (C4::Context::only_my_library, code moved from
C4::Branch::onlymine).
To accomplish the same job as this subroutine, we just need to call the
`Branches.all()` method from the `Branches` TT plugin. It already
accepts a `selected` parameter to set a flag on the option to select.
To avoid the repetitive
[% IF selected %]<option selected="selected">[% ELSE %]<option>[% END %]
pattern, a new `html_helpers` TT include file has been created, it
defines an `options_for_libraries` block, which takes a `selected`
parameter. We could imagine to use this include file for other
selects.
The 'mybranch` and `onlymine` subroutines of the C4::Branch package have
been moved to C4::Context. onlymine has been renamed with
only_my_library. There are only 4 occurrences of it, against 11 before
this patch set.
There 2 subroutines are Context-centric and it makes sense to put them
in `C4::Context` (at least it's the least worst place!)
GetBranches is the tricky part of this patch set: It retrieves all the
libraries, independently of the value of IndependentBranches.
To keep the same way as the existing calls of `Branches.all()`, I have
added a `unfiltered` parameter. If set, the `Branches.all()` will call
a usual Koha::Libraries->search method, otherwise
Koha::Libraries->search_filtered will be called. This new method will
check if the logged in user is allowed to see other libraries or only
its library.
Note that this `GetBranches` subroutine also created a `category` key:
it allowed to get the list of groups (of libraries) where this library
existed. Thanks to a previous patch set (bug 15295), this value was
not used anymore (I may have missed something!).
Note that the only use of `GetBranch` was buggy (see bug 15746).
Test plan (for the whole patch set):
The best way to test this whole patch set is to test with 2 instances: 1
with the patch set applied, 1 using master, to be sure there is no
regression.
It would be good to test the same with `IndependentBranches` and the
without `IndependentBranches`.
No difference should be found.
The tester must focus on the library dropdowns on as many forms as
possible.
You will notice changes in the order of the options: the libraries will
now be ordered by branchname (instead of branchcode in some places).
A special attention will be given to the following page:
- acqui/neworderempty.pl
- catalogue/search.pl
- members/members-home.pl (header?)
- opac/opac-topissues.pl
- tools/holidays.pl
- admin/branch_transfer_limits.pl
- admin/item_circulation_alerts.pl
- rotating_collections/transferCollection.pl
- suggestion/suggestion.pl
- tools/export.pl
Notes for QA:
- There are 2 FIXMEs in the patch set, I have kept the existing behavior,
but I am not sure it's the good one. Feel free to open a bug report and
I will fill a patch if you think it's not correct. Otherwise, remove the
FIXME lines in a follow-up patch.
- The whole patch set is huge and makes a lot of changes.
But it finally will tremendously reduce the number of lines:

The display for these 3 reports are different than the 2 from the first
patch (borrowers_stats.pl issues_avg_stats.pl): they are ordered by
categorycode and the ones limited to other libraries are not displayed
(should certainly be fixed).
Note that the big part of this patch has already been tested before
(update child related: CATCODE_MULTI).

This patch replaces sql queries done in some pl script and in
C4::Reports::Guided.
Since we have now a Koha::Patron::Categories module, we should use it
where it is possible.
Test plan:
- Prerequisite: Be sure you have several patron categories created, with
different option enabled, and limit some to certain libraries.
- On the 'Circulation and fine rules' admin page (admin/smart-rules.pl),
all the patron categories should be displayed (even the ones limited to
another library), ordered by description. Try to add/update existing rules.
- On the overdue rules page (tools/overduerules.pl), all the patron
categories with overduenoticerequired set should be displayed.
Try to add/update existing rules.
- On the following reports:
reports/borrowers_stats.pl
reports/issues_avg_stats.pl
The patron categories should be displayed. Note that there is an
inconsistency with these 2 reports: the patron categories limited to
other libraries are displayed on them, when they are not on the other
reports. This should certainly be fixed (on another bug report).

This patch makes changes to Font Awesome icons in order to make icon
choice consistent for common actions.
<i class="fa fa-trash"></i> where something is deleted, removed, or
emptied.
<i class="fa fa-remove"></i> where an operation is cancelled (also where
selections are cancelled, as in checkboxes).
<i class="fa fa-times-circle"></i> for "close," as in baskets and

- Acquisitions -> Invoices -> Delete menu item.
- Cataloging -> Edit record -> Authority search pop-up (triggered from

- Serials -> Subscription details -> Subscription close button.
- Administration -> Budgets -> Delete menu item.
- Administration -> Item search fields -> Delete button.
- Administration -> Z39.50/SRU servers -> Delete menu item.
- Catalog -> Advanced search -> Clear fields link.
- Cataloging -> Advanced editor -> Macros -> Delete macro button.

effect.

The staff client CSS is not language-specific, so it can be moved out of
the en/ directory and thus not be duplicated for every translation.
In order to be able to have a generic path to the YUI CSS files, the YUI
directory is moved by this patch to the staff client's lib/ directory.

Look in particular at pages which include more than the standard CSS.
For example:
- The staff client login page.
- The staff client home page.
- Patron -> Set permissions.
- The advanced cataloging editor.
- Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Basket groups.
- Tools -> News -> Edit news.
- Administration -> System preferences.

On creating new dictionary for report, the choice between "All dates"
and "Date range" should be a real radio button, not 2 radio buttons with
different names (which means they could be selected altogether...)

This patch adds call number, collection code and shelving location to
the filter.
To test:
It is of course a prerequisite to have items in the DB with the correct
MARC fields and that they have been checked out etc. to get a valid
result when testing.
1. Apply patch to koha synced to master.
2. Go to /cgi-bin/koha/reports/cat_issues_top.pl
3. Select filters, the new ones are Call number, Collection code and
Shelving location
4. Hit submit.
Expected result:
The filters chosen will be printed under "Filtered on".
A table with the result is shown.
For manual verification here is some SQL to run:
SELECT DISTINCT biblio.title, COUNT(biblio.biblionumber) AS RANK, biblio.biblionumber AS ID, itemcallnumber as CALLNUM, ccode as CCODE, location as LOC FROM `old_issues`
LEFT JOIN items USING(itemnumber)
LEFT JOIN biblio USING(biblionumber)
LEFT JOIN biblioitems USING(biblionumber)
LEFT JOIN borrowers USING(borrowernumber)
WHERE 1 AND biblioitems.itemtype like 'BK' AND itemcallnumber like '005.2/762' AND ccode like 'NFIC' AND location like 'CART' AND borrowers.categorycode like 'PT' group by biblio.biblionumber order by RANK DESC;
Put in your valid values in the WHERE clause for the values in the
single quotes ''.

It works as described. Valid results, tested in various combinations.
Follows the coding (awful) style of the original script, without
introducing any regression. It would have been great to have
callnumber interval, but anyway...

Currently, if you are editing or viewing the results of running a
report and you decide you want to delete it, you have to go back
to the list of saved reports to do so. This patch adds a "Delete"
link in some convenient places.
To test:
- Apply the patch
- Make sure you have at least one saved report
- Make sure you have the create_reports permission
- Go to the Show, Edit and Run screens and verify the Delete link
is present and functional, including the JavaScript confirmation
dialogue
- Change to a user without the create_reports permission and check
that the Delete link is not displayed on the Show, Edit and Run
screens
- Sign ye off merrily!
Version 2: This version makes sure the JavaScript confirmation is
shown before an actual delete is carried out.

This patch fixes following issues with breadcrumbs and html page title
in Home > Reports > Guided reports wizard:

- While creating a report, steps are not displayed in breadcrumbs and
do not appear in html page title
- html page title is divided by newlines
To test:
- Apply patch
- Go to Home > Reports > Guided reports wizard
- Go to all pages including the steps for creating a new report and
verify
- that the breadcrumbs display properly and make sense
- in html source, the page title makes sense and displays on one line.

We should be using Font Awesome for our icons instead of Glyphicons, for
the reasons discussed on bug 13696.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Note all Glyphicons have been replaced with FA icons in the staff intranet
3) git grep "icon-" ./koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/
should give no results
4) git grep "icon-" ./koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/
should give no results

The reports dictionary allows the user to select several fields, but
only 1 is used.
The interface is quite confusing.
This patch removes the multiple selection and permit to select only 1
field.
Test plan:
1/ Create a report dictionary (reports/dictionary.pl)
2/ On the step 3, confirm that only 1 field can be selected
Confirm there is no regression on this tool.

To reproduce:
- Go to Home > Reports
- Create from SQL
- Do something that results in an error message, e.g. by entering an UPDATE statement
Result: You get an error message with title "The follwing error was encountered"
But there is now link to go directly back to fix it.
To test:
- Apply patch
- Repeat steps above
- Verify that a link appears (and works): "Back to previous page"

The first patch displays the value(s) of an active filter if you come back to the page or reload the page via a menu action.
To make the situation more clear the dialog "No saved reports match your criteria." shoudl always appear when a filter is active.

On the saved report list, the filters on the left are not displayed.
It means that some can be set, but the user has not visible feedbacks.
How filters work here:
If a user set a filter, it is saved in the session. Next time he will
come on this search, the previous values will be kept.
This patch just displayed the filter's values in the input fields.
Test plan:
Search for reports by date, author and keyword.
The filters should be displayed after you have clicked on the submit
button ("Apply filter").
