This patch adds the ability to specify a field with alternate holdings
information for display when a biblio has no items associated with it.
Two sysprefs are added:
* AlternateHoldingsField specifies what field/subfields contain the alternate
holdings information. When blank, the alternate holdings information is not
displayed. The default is blank, as this is a new feature.
* AlternateHoldingsSeparator specifies the string to be used to separate
multiple subfields in the alternate holdings display. The default is ' '.
Example use case:
A library which does not have a 1-1 relationship between uncontrolled 852 fields
from a legacy system and actual physical items on the shelf wishes to display
holdings information from the 852, but does not want to create item records
which are almost certain to be inaccurate. By enabling the alternate holdings
feature (AlternateHoldingsField = '852abcdhi' and AlternateHoldingsSeparator =
' -- '), the library is able to gradually add item records as they locate the
physical items, without losing the holdings information presently stored in the
uncontrolled 852 fields.
To test:
1) Set AlternateHoldingsField to '852abcdhi'
2) Set AlternateHoldingsSeparator to ' -- '
3) Change the hidden value of subfields 'a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'h', and/or 'i' of
field 852 to 0 so that they display
4) Create a record which has data in the 852, but no item record
5) Look at holdings tab, where the data you entered should be displayed

This will work similar to 'Show volumes' links from traced series records and
set records. A link to search for analytics linked to serials.
A new syspref will be added: UseControlNumber.
This syspref will make it possible to determine, if $w and Controlnumber are
used for linking of records in bibliographic records.
If syspref is OFF (default), the search links will not use control numbers
but keywords.
If syspref is ON links will be built using Control-number and rcn index.
NOTE: 773$a is added to index Host-item. For testing on a dev installation:
copy record.abs to your koha-dev folder and reindex!

Enables the library to choose whether to have patrons scan their barcodes for self checkout, or login
with username and password. Uses 'checkpw' for compatibility with LDAP authentication.
Also introduces a few new system preferences to make Self Checkout more secure and manageable:
SelfCheckTimeOut: the number of seconds before the self-checkout login times out for a patron
AllowSelfCheckReturns: indicate whether or not patrons can return materials via self-checkout
SelfCheckHelpMessage: user-configurable HTML to show specific text on the Help page.

Add an option to the OPAC to display the URI that is stored in the 856u field
as an image instead of a text link. This would be implemented in the OPAC XSLT
style sheets for the Results and Details pages, and would require that the
corresponding OPAC XSLT option be set.
This enhancement is designed to enable the staff to catalog images, then have
them appear on the resulting pages in the OPAC when searching. Clicking on the
image would open it full size. If the image option is in use, then the default
link text would be disabled. Custom text would still appear if entered in the
"URLLinkText" option.
Add system preference "Display856uAsImage" with options of Results page,
Details page, Both Results and Details pages, Neither Results or Details page.
Notes for documentation manager:
There are two system preferences added for this enhancement:
OPACDisplay856uAsImage and Display856uAsImage. These appear on the OPAC and
Staff Client screens under the System Preferences.
The preference can be set to one of four options:
Both Details and Results pages
Details page only
Neither Details or Results pages
Results page only
In addition to this option being set, the corresponding XSLT option must be
turned on. Also, the corresponding 856q field must have a valid MIME image
extension (e.g., "jpg") or MIME image type (i.e. starting with "image/"), or the
generic indicator "img" entered in the field.
As of 14 March 2011 the UNIMARC xslt display files also require a "0" in the
second indicator location of the 856u field for the links to be activated. This
is not true for the MARC21 display files.
When all of the requirements are met, an image file will be displayed instead of
the standard link text. Clicking on the image will open it in the same way as
clicking on the link text.

Lists in the OPAC, and Cart on both sides, show the LOC code for items, rather
than the appropriate Description from Authorised Values. This is because the
code uses GetItemInfo, which is a very heavy-weight call to only retrieve some
of the desired information.
This patch introduces a new subroutine in C4::Items, GetItemsLocationInfo, which
returns the branch names for both home- and holdingbranches, the location code,
both opac and intranet location descriptions, itemcallnumber and cn_sort. This
should be used instead of GetItemsInfo in any case where the locational
information is all that's required, as it's much more streamlined and efficient.
In the OPAC Lists, this only applies if OPACXSLTResultsDisplay is 'off' (set to
'normal').

Adds a new system preference, COinSinOPACResults, which toggles the inclusion of
COiNS/OpenURL/Z39.88 in the search results display. Default is 'on', continuing
the current behaviour.
Disabling this feature will result in a significant increase in search speed, since
each call to GetCOinSBiblio requires a separate parsing of the MARC record, and there are
<OPACnumSearchResults> calls to this routine with each search.

When XSLT is enabled, the subject tracings on the details view (both OPAC and
Intranet) previously only searched on the subfield 'a'. In addition, searches
failed when the tracing included parentheses, and the XSLT display did not
include subfields other than abcdvxyz, even for those 6xx tags that have other
subfields.
This patch adds a syspref: TraceSubjectSubdivisons. When
TraceSubjectSubdivisions is set to "Don't include" (default), the subject
tracings in the XSLT details view will only search on subfield 'a'. When
TraceSubjectSubdivisions is set to "Include", the subject tracings will search
on all subfields, not just subfield 'a'.

This patch adds the MARC21 fields 583 (Action note), 586 (Awards note), and
530 (Additional physical form available note) to the OPAC details display in the
XSLT-controlled portion of the page. In order to allow libraries to hide these
notes if they do not want them added, the notes have been given CSS classes.

This patch cleans up the formatting of the 856 display code in
MARC21slim2OPACDetail.xsl. Tabstops are correct, and the OPACURLOpenInNewWindow
syspref check is moved to control the use of a 'target="_blank"' attribute,
rather than having two blocks of almost-identical code.

The two sysprefs take full URLs to an alternate favicon.ico file for the OPAC
and Staff Client, respectively. Leaving them blank will use the favicon.ico file
that is included with Koha.

This patch ensures that the OPAC library selection masthead will always default
to the branch that is currently being searched. This only applies to systems
with multiple branches and OpacAddMastheadLibraryPulldown turned on.
To test: do a search in the OPAC, limiting by branch. The search results will
still have that branch selected in the masthead dropdown.
This patch also fixes bug 5852 and bug 3778.

This patch adds the syspref TraceCompleteSubfields. When TraceCompleteSubfields
is set to "force," clicking on links in non-authority controlled subject
tracings will only find other records where the entire subfields match. Leaving
it at "don't force" keeps the current behavior of doing a keyword search of the
subject indexes.
This patch implements complete-subfield subject tracings in MARC21 XSLTs (OPAC
and Staff) and all Normal mode interfaces. UNIMARC XSLTs have not been updated.
This patch also adds the syspref UseAuthoritiesForTracings. When set to "Do not"
tracings in the XSLT detail displays will never generate links using authority
numbers, but rather use the heading strings (NB: the tracings currently use only
subfield 'a' for generating links).

Many of the templates in OPAC, which deal with users data eg opac-account.tmpl, opac-passwd.tmpl etc do not have a id for the container div,
like opac-user.tmpl has an id userdetail. Having these id's makes it easier to customize with css.
This patch adds id's to most of the <div class="container"> tags.

Reimplements Paul Poulain's original OPAC Privacy patch, with some minor improvements and changes to wording
If the library enables the OPACPrivacy system preference along with the opacreadinghistory preference, and sets
an AnonymousPatron (must be a valid patron number in the database), the user will see a new tab upon login to
the OPAC, My Privacy. From there, the user can:
- Set their OPAC Privacy to one of three values
0 - Forever. This keeps their reading history unless they explicitly delete it; the bulk anonymiser won't touch it
1 - Default. Keep reading history until either they delete it or the library does
2 - Never. Instantly anonymises reading history upon item return
- Instantly delete their reading history
There is a warning and a popup to confirm. I've removed Paul's extra confirm checkbox, which seemed redundant
A note of which preference the patron has selected is added to the Patorn Details page in the staff client. This is read-only.
This patch also consolidates Privacy system preferences into the Privacy section of the OPAC tab.

This adds three system preferences: ShelfBrowserUsesLocation,
ShelfBrowserUsesHomeBranch, and ShelfBrowserUsesCcode. These can be
toggled to determine whether the shelf browser will ensure that the
items being show will match against location, homebranch, or collection
code, respectively.
Note that this also involves a bit of a refactor to clean up the shelf
browser code.

The item type which shows on other editions is the biblio-level
itemtype. XISBN.pm had some item-handling code, but I'm
removing it because it is unused. The editions tab should
now display item type only if item-level itemtypes are not
enabled.

Changes to list contents view to make it consistent with search results
My intention is to make the OPAC more consistent in the way it displays
lists of items, whether it be in search results, lists, etc. This patch
adds data to the list contents output and reformats it to that end.
The other significant change is the removal of jQuery table sorting.
Since list contents are both sorted and paginated on the server
side. Adding a client-side sort to one page of many doesn't make sense.
Other changes include:
- Change "Your lists" to "Your private lists"
- Remove "sort by" column because it seems unnecessary
- Adding logic to control display of count (item or items
rather than item(s)
- Styling pagination bar and placing at the bottom of the page,
consistent with other instances of pagination navigation

- Eliminates the "Extended MARC View" tab
- Points the "MARC View" tab to opac-MARCDetail.pl as it is when XSLT is off
- Offers a "view plain" link on opac-MARCDetail.pl. Clicking this link
replaces the standard labeled MARC view with an unformatted view similar to the
one displayed in the pop-up modal MARC view.
- When viewing the "plain view," clicking the "view labeled" link will return
you to the standard labeled MARC view.
- Adds a new XSL file for displaying MARC data in a slightly-more-formatted
manner (compared to one big <pre></pre> block).

Koha puts the shelving location immediately after the library name in the
"Location" column of the title display. If the library name and/or shelving
location is wordy, the two can run together and a user can overlook the
shelving location. I've added a new span class to the staff and OPAC .css
files and applied it to shelving location in both templates. This puts the
shelving location on a separate line and in italics, to make it stand out from
the library name.

[Enhancement][3.4] Add RFC822 Format to C4::Dates
This patch adds RFC822 formatting to C4::Dates. It also updates Dates.t
appropriately. Consult the POD for this module for how to use
this format.
Please note that this module *does not* handle TZ conversion at this point.
This means that the TZ portion of a RFC822 time will be truncated and the converted
time will be in the same TZ as was passed in. When generating an RFC822 time,
the local TZ offset will be included since none of the other supported formats
provide a means for including their TZ. This is not a problem introduced by the
addition of RFC822 formatting. Rather it is due to this module not having TZ
support to begin with.
Also note that the dow, moy abbreviations are English as required by
RFC822 section 3.3 (thanks to self for pointing that out).

A new label 'Other editions:' is added with links to other editions.
The link starts a search for control number from 775$w in index control number.
A check for existence of $w/001 is added to always provide a fallback to a search for the link text.

This patch removes the title hint altogether. The checkbox might
be used for the cart, lists, holds, or tags, and expressing this
in a title hint seems overly complicated.

Creates new curriculum index for 658 subfields a,b,c and search option in Advanced search (under More Options). Also modifies the installer files to make 658abc display (they were hidden in the frameworks) and to create the new indexes.
The 658 already displays as part of the staff/OPAC subject display line.

tmpl_process is patched to handle properly specific XML directives.
UNIMARC XSL files are modified to gain knowledge of HTML entity
which isn't the case by default. It may be necessary to do the same
thing for MARC21 XSL.

Some other cosmetic and functional changes:
- "Show all/Show 50" links had been styled as tabs at some time
in the past. A CSS change somewhere broke this. Reimplementing it.
- Moving sort control to a <select> similar to the one used on
search results. Since javascript-based table sorting from the
table header is used elsewhere in the OPAC I felt the <select>
method better reflected the behavior of this re-sort.

Prevent the generation of empty label spans for various
bib details fields. A construct like
<span class="results_summary"><span class="label" />contents note</span>
is consistently misinterpreted in many web browsers, leading to
CSS oddities. See the bug for more details.

The template was originally designed so that form controls were
hidden from users who didn't have permission to modify a particular
shelf because the form controls were only used for deleting from
lists. Now that users can place holds and add tags via the check-
boxes, the controls must be available to all users.

Strings within JavaScript onclick attributes are not getting picked
up by the translator:

This patch converts those to use variables defined in the main
script block:

The unAPI link is now added only in opac-detail.tmpl. More than
one unAPI link in the same page was causing a bit of indigestion
for Zotero, which interprets multiple unAPI links as specifying
more than one resource on a given page.

Previous code would only allow for an auxiliary stylesheet on the same server. This checks for
http in the opaccolorstylesheet syspref. If it's found, sets a different variable pointing to the
remote server location. If not found, retains the previous css directory path.
Also modifies the description of opaccolorstylesheet in the installer files to reflect current
usage as an auxiliary stylesheet.

If there is no 007 field, parts of the OPAC results data display in a
much smaller font than normal. Adding a blank space in the span section
fixes it.

The OPAC Cart tooltip ("Your cart is empty," "1 item(s) added to your
Cart") currently uses a jQuery plugin to generate a drop shadow.
This works cross-browser, but has a high failure rate with regard
to hiding the shadow consistently, resulting in an orphan shadow
after the tooltip has been hidden. I propose to instead use the
new CSS3 property "box-shadow" (-moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-
shadow for FireFox and Safari/Chrome). Currently Internet Explorer
does not support this property. I think this is an
acceptable tradeoff for more stable functionality.

These were causing the OPAC details place hold button to disappear
in circumstances where a bib-level item type was set to a non-loanable
item type even when item-level_itypes was on.
This change does mean that if item-level_itypes is not turned on,
the hold button will now appear for bibs whose bib-level item type
has its not-for-loan flag set; however, if this is a problem, a
better long-term fix would be to use CanBookBeReserved() instead.

* GetItemsInfo now includes a notforloan_per_itemtype key
with the value of the item type's notforloan setting, correctly
set based on the value of the item-level_itypes syspref
* Adjusted OPAC details item status display to use that
notforloan_per_itemtype key
NOTE: one of the assumptions of item-level_itypes is that
you can have either bib-level item types or item-level
item types, but not both in the same database. In particular,
it does not establish a hierarchy where Koha checks the
item-level itemtype first, then the bib-level.

505 If there is no indicator 1, content label is not displayed and
then repeated 505 tags are also incorrecly displayed. This patch
add a default label.
502 Wasn't displayed at all. Added in this patch.

If a 111/711 uses a subfield n (Number of part/section/meeting), XSLT wasn't displaying it which made for an incomplete display.
e.g., International Conference on Concurrency Theory 1999 : Eindhoven, Netherlands)
instead of 10th International Conference on Concurrency Theory 1999 : Eindhoven, Netherlands)
I've added it to show before subfield a if present. I've also removed the period that XSLT puts in the results and display after the last occurrence of a 110/710. It's fairly standard practice for these entries to have a period in the MARC record, so the XSLT display was showing a double period.

- Removing DOM creation of tag and hold links: if the Cart is working,
the user must have JavaScript enabled. Therefore we can assume
tagging and holds will work
- Conditionally displaying some JavaScript based on whether tagging

This is a much improved re-implementation of the reserves updates from dev_week.
Less new code has been added, and more existing functions are used instead of adding new ones.
The 'Lock Hold' function has been removed due to it not working as intended.
[RM note for documentation: this adds the following features:
* ability to specify an expiration date for a hold request
when placing it via the staff interface or OPAC
* daily batch job to cancel expired holds
* nice interface to change the priority of hold
requests for a bib in the staff interface]

The original patch allowed use of the OPACFinesTab syspref to turn off
the Fines tab in the OPAC patron record. However, a column for fines
still appears in the listing of overdues, and as a tab on the line with
Overdues, Holds, Fines, etc. This patch turns off the other instances of
fine columns/displays if the syspref is off.

Enables warnings and fixes the resulting warnings in opac-readingrecord.pl. The "description" variable in opac-readingrecord.tmpl was pulling a value from another source, probably an included template. Change the name to 'itypedescription' to resolve the conflict.
