defined.
- Go to Patrons -> New patron
- Create a new patron using one of the categories with messaging
preferences.

patron category, the patron messaging preference checkboxes are
changed to the default for that category.
- A "Loading" indicator should appear above the checkboxes to show
that an operation is in process. It should disappear when new
default prefs are loaded.
- Manually change one or more patron messaging preference checkboxes.
- Switch the patron category again and confirm that you are prompted
to confirm resetting the preferences to the default for that

The MARC modification template actions editor does not validate
user input when adding a conditional clause, making it possible
to save a modification action without filling in all necessary
fields.
This patch fixes that.
Test plan:
1) Create a MARC modification template and add a new action,
e.g. "Copy All field(s) 200$a to field 600$a".
Add a condition ("if" or "unless") but leave the relevant
field and subfield textboxes empty.
Add "matches" or "doesn't match" as a comparison operator.
Check the "RegEx" checkbox, leave the regex textbox empty.
2) Click on "Add action" and notice how it accepts your input.
Also notice the extra space in the Action column RegEx.
3) Edit your modification action and notice the missing "m/"
before the conditional RegEx.
4) Apply the patch and hit CTRL-F5 to reload the relevant JS.
5) Edit the modification action you added previously (or add
a new one). Try leaving the textboxes mentioned above empty
and then submit your changes. You should get pop-up windows
informing you about missing fields.
6) Now try typing a value in the conditional regex textbox and
Update your action. In the Action column, there should be
no spaces between the delimiters of the matching operator
and the value you just entered.
7) Edit your action: notice how the "m/" before the regular
expression and the "/" after it are now showing correctly.

In intranet default UNIMARC XSLT display of 210 is tricky.
It tests each subfield with a complex conditional prefix.
In OPAC default UNIMARC XSLT display 210 is simply displayed with a loop on all subfields.
I propose to use the same code as OPAC in intranet.
It allows to display $f and removes strange middle-score character.
Test plan:

2) Use an UNIMARC database
3) Use default XSLT in all displays
4) Configure a framework to allow 210 subfields from 'a' to 'h'
5) Edit a record with this framework
6) In each 210 subfield enter its letter : $a a, $b b ...
7) Save record
8) Look at record in OPAC, you see : "Publication: a, b : c, d, e, f : g, h"
9) Look at record in intranet

When editing a MARC modification template action, the 'RegEx'
checkbox to the right of the 'to field' textboxes will always
appear checked, even if no regular expression has been added.

created in 3) and click on 'Update action'. When you re-edit this

When a new order is created from a subscription the quantity is set to 1
and cannot be modified.
The idea was to order 1 subscription.
This behavior leads to a limitation: it is not possible to mark a
receipt as partially received. However it is how it works in real life,
the vendors send invoices throughout the year. The number of items can
also be changed.
The idea is be to rethink the "quantity" value for an order created
from a subscription and use it to track the number of invoices already
paid.
FIXME: This approach will not cohabit with standing orders.
This patch is a first draft to get feedback on the idea.
FIXME: What about cancelled orders?
Test plan:
- Create a new order from a subscription
- Enter the number of items you think you will receive for this
subscription (for instance 1 per month: 12)
- Close the basket
- Receive 3 items (a trimester) and create a specific invoice for this
receipt. Note that the price are per unit.
If you want to receive items with different prices you should make
split the receipt
- Receive more items. This time you will notice that the previous order
will be displayed on the "order receive" under a new block "Receipt
history for this subscription"
- Note that the "Quantity to receive" has been decrease by the number of
items you previously received
- Also you can notice that this "Quantity to receive" can be modified.
Indeed it can happen that the number of items to receive changed during
the year
- Go to the detail of the subscription and notice that the orders have
been grouped by "parent ordernumber"
- Continue to receive items until all have been received

Currently the call number splitting seems to be mostly implemented for
DDC and LC classifications.
Those are both not very common in some countries.
A lot of libraries use their own custom classification schemes so the call number
plitting is something that should be individually configurable.
This enhancement adds the ability to define custom splitting rules based
on regular expressions.
How does it work so far?
From C4/Labels/Label.pm there are 3 differents splitting methods defined, depending on items.cn_source.
if cn_source is "lcc' or 'nlm' we split using Library::CallNumber::LC
if cn_source is 'ddc' we split using a in-house method
Finally there is a fallback method to split on space
And nothing else is done for other cn_source
The idea of this patch is to mimick what was done for the "filing rules" and add
the ability to define "splitting rules" that will be used by the "Classification sources".
A classification source will then have:
* a filing rule used to sort items by callnumbers
* a splitting rule used to print labels
To acchieve this goal this enhancement will do the following
modifications at DB level:
* New table class_split_rules
* New column class_sources.class_split_rule
Test plan:
* Execute the update database entry to create the new table and
column.
I. UI Changes
a) Create/modify/delete a filing rule
b) Create/modify/delete a splitting rule
c) Create/modify/delete a classification source
=> A filing rule or splitting rule cannot be removed if used by a
classification source
II. Splitting rule using regular expressions
a) Create a splitting rule using the "Splitting routine" "RegEx"
b) Define several regular expressions, they will be applied one after
the other in the same order you define them.
Something like:
s/\s/\n/g # Break on spaces
s/(\s?=)/\n=/g # Break on = (unless it's done already)
s/^(J|K)\n/$1 / # Remove the first break if callnumber starts with J or K
c) You can test the regular expressions using filling the textarea with
a list of callnumbers. Then click "Test" and confirm the callnumbers are
split how you expected.
d) Finally create a new classification source that will use this new
splitting rule.
III. Print the label!
a) Create a layout. It should have the "Split call numbers" checkbox
ticked, and display itemcallnumber
b) Use this layout to export labels, use items with different
classification source ('lcc', 'ddc', but also the new one you have
create)
=> The callnumbers should have been split according to the regex you
defined earlier!
Notes:
* The update database entry fill the class_sources.class_split_rule
with the value of class_sources.class_sort_rule
If default rules exist it will not work, we should add a note in the
release notes (would be enough?)
* C4::ClassSplitRoutine::* should be moved to Koha::ClassSplitRule,
but it sounded better to keep the same pattern as ClassSortRoutines
* Should not we use a LONGTEXT for class_split_rules.split_regex instead
of VARCHAR(255)?
* class_sources.sql should be filled for other languages before pushed
to master!
IMPORTANT NOTES: The regular expressions are stored as it, and eval is
used to evaluate it (perlcritic raises a warning about it (Expression
form of "eval"). It can lead to serious security issues (execution of
arbitrary code on the server), especially if the modifier 'e' is used.
We could then remedy the situation with one of these following points:
- Assume that this DB data is safe (We can add a new permission?)
- Assume that the data is not safe and deal with possible attack
Cons: how be sure we are exhaustive? Making sure it matches ^s///[^e/]*$
would be enough?
- Use Template Toolkit syntax instead (Really safer?)
[% callnumber.replace('\s', '\n').replace ... %]
- Cut the regex parts: find, replace, modifiers
like we already do for Marc modification template. Cons: we are going to
have escape problems, the "find" and "replace" parts should not be
handle the same way (think "\n", "\\n", "\1", "\s", etc.)
I did not manage to implement this one easily.

It is not totally happy because of the template file used in tests.
It has line breaks inside TT directives and QA test script complains
because line breaks in TT directives confuse the current translatable
strings extractor.
However this patchset (along with bug 20988) will hopefully make the
current extractor obsolete and thus make the 'no-line-breaks' rule
useless

Locale::Maketext does not allow correct handling of plural translation
for languages that have more than one plural forms.
Locale::Messages does.
So Koha::I18N is now a wrapper around Locale::Messages, just like
Locale::TextDomain, and export the same symbols as Locale::TextDomain.
You can refer to documentation of Locale::TextDomain to know how to use
exported subroutines.
Example usage:
__("Hi")
__x("Hi {name}", name => 'Bob')
__n("item", "items", $num_items)
__nx("one item", "{count} items", $num_items, count => $num_items)
__p("Bibliographic record", "item")
This patch also brings Koha::I18N power to Template::Toolkit templates
by adding a TT plugin.
This plugin can be used like this:
[%# USE the plugin and define some macros %]
[% PROCESS 'i18n.inc' %]
[%# tn is the equivalent of __n %]
[%# macro names can't start with underscore, t is for "translate" %]
[% tn('item', 'items', num_items) %]
Extraction of strings from templates is a bit complicated and use
Template::Parser and PPI. Template is compiled into Perl code and then
analyzed by PPI. It is slow, but should be correct even with complex
constructions.
Remove dependency to Locale::Maketext and Locale::Maketext::Lexicon
Add dependency to Locale::Messages and PPI
Test plan for translation in Perl code:
1. Open a .pl script or .pm module with your favorite text editor
2. Add 'use Koha::I18N;' in the beginning of file
3. Use one of the subroutines exported by Koha::I18N and be sure to have
a way to visualize the result (pass result to the template for
example, or simply warn and watch the log file)
4. cd misc/translator && ./translate update fr-FR # try other languages
5. Open misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages.po and translate your
string(s)
You may need to change the "Plural-Forms" header. See
https://localization-guide.readthedocs.org/en/latest/l10n/pluralforms.html
6. ./translate install fr-FR
7. Use your web browser to go to the page that should display the
translation, change language and verify the translation is correct
8. prove t/Koha/I18N.t
Test plan for translation in templates:
1. Open a template file (.tt or .inc) with your favorite text editor
2. Add the PROCESS directive mentioned above in the beginning of file
3. Use one of the t* macros defined in i18n.inc. They are used like
their "__" equivalent, with one difference: the 'x' variants take a
hashref instead of a hash as last parameter
4. cd misc/translator && ./translate update fr-FR
5. Open misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages.po and translate your

This new feature adds a link to the last patron consulted
in the staff site. It uses cookies to save this information.
When a staff site user accesses a patron record, the ID, name
and card number of the patron will be saved in the cookie.
To test:
1- Apply the patch
2- Go to a patron details' page
4- Go to another page
4- Verify that the link "Last patron" appears on the top-right
corner of the screen
5- Click on the link
6- Verify that you are at the patron's checkout page
7- Click on the "X" button next to the "Last patron" link

Trying to make the terminology a little more consistent

above and leaning on the description of the page it
refers to.

New:

This patch enables items to be skipped for inventory stocktaking
if the item is currently a waiting hold. The intention is to skip
items that should be on the holds waiting shelf in the library.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Generate a list of barcodes ordered by callnumber
3) Select one of those items and place it on hold, then confirm the hold
4) Remove that barcode from the list of barcodes
5) Browse to the inventory tool, choose your barcodes file
6) Run the inventory tool with that barcode file.
7) Note the tool says that item should have been scanned
8) Click the browsers back button to return to the previous page
9) Check the checkbox for "Skip copies marked as waiting holds"
10) Run the tool again, not it does not flag that item as previously

The idea is the following: if some search field(s) are weighted in
search engine config page, Koha will query ES on all fields plus those with
the coresponding weights. Else, search is done on the entire record with
no weighting. The advanced search page is unaffected by these changes
Test plan (having Koha working with Elasticsearch):
- apply this patch
- have some weights defined for various fields
- try searches from the search bar and from the advanced search page
- confirm weighting affects the relevancy (in expected ways)
e.g.
1. search for 'a' from advanced search, note results
2. give 'title' a weight
3. search for 'a' using the simple search bar
4. results with 'a' in the title should now be more relevant
- confirm search results on advanced search page are unaffected

To test this particular patch (intranet templates) you need:
* The syspref patch applied
* The intranet CSS patch applied
To test:
* Apply this patch
* Enable covers (if not done already)
* Go to staff interface, log in as a priviliged user.
* Select "More" -> "Administration" ->

* Set ""AdlibrisCoversEnabled" to "Show" under "Adlibris".
* Save changes
* Add a book with a known cover/ISBN (if none exists)
* Set MARC field 020 a,
"INTERNATIONAL STANDARD BOOK NUMBER" to: 9780451524935
* Set MARC field 245 a, "Title" to: 1984
* Save changes
* Test results.tt
* From the main intranet page, select "Search the catalog" and
enter the title we added, "1984" and press "Search".
* You should end up with the url:
http://127.0.1.1:8080/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=1984
* The cover image should be shown in the leftmost column.
* If cover is clicked, the full cover image should be shown.
* Test detail.tt

Test plan:
Test 1: Test upgrade procedure for clean installation.
Start by removing existing sysprefs, if present:
$ mysql -u kohaadmin -p -D koha
> DELETE FROM `systempreferences` WHERE `variable` LIKE 'Adlibris%';
* Apply this patch which will add a pref file, update the 'syspref'
structure and add an atomic upgrade file.
* Install the update:
Koha$ perl installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
* Once upgraded and logged in, Select 'More', 'Administration',
'Global Preferences' and finally 'Enhanced content'.
There should be a new option called 'Adlibris'.
The first option should default to "Don't show", if not the
patch is broken.
The second options should show the default URL:
http://www.adlibris.com/se/organisationer/showimagesafe.aspx
If not, the patch is broken.
Test 2: Changing sysprefs
* In the control panel, change the first value from "Don't show"
to "Show" and save the changes. Use MySQL client to inspect changes:
$ mysql -u kohaadmin -p -D koha
> SELECT * FROM `systempreferences` WHERE `variable` LIKE 'Adlibris%';
The column 'value' should now have the value '1', if not the patch
is broken.
Test 3: Apply update to existing data
* Re-execute the installer now that the database has the data already:
Koha$ perl installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
If any errors occur the patch is broken.
Examine the database contents:
$ mysql -u kohaadmin -p -D koha
> SELECT * FROM `systempreferences` WHERE `variable` LIKE 'Adlibris%';
If the values were overwritten by the installer the patch is broken.

This is a consistency issue: we store '@' as the subfield for
fixed-lenght fields, yet on editing '_' is displayed (on the form and

2) Follow the installation instructions from:
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/cla-permissions-check-plugin
3) TEST: Observe that the "CLA Check Permissions" button takes the user
to the Check Permissions page and a modal displays containing the
results of the query
4) Remove the API key from the plugin "Configuration" page
5) TEST: Ensure that the "CLA Check Permissions" button takes the user

Changes the API for calling GetHiddenItems and all the places in the code that call it. This is to allow borrower categories to be passed in.
Adds an OpacHiddenItemsExceptions syspref to allow certain borrower categories to be able to see items, even if they are marked hidden by OpacHiddenItems
To test:
1) Make two borrowers, one in a category that should see everything (ie Adult), and another in a category that should only see certain things (ie Adult - exceptions)
2) Add the borrower that can see everything (the Adult) to OpacHiddenItemsExceptions
3) To the OpacHiddenItems syspref, add an item type (ensure that you have some records that fall under this type in your library).
4) Log in as the borrower that should only see certain things (Adult - exception)
5) Do a search, filtered to show records which are the item type that you specified in the OpacHiddenItems syspref. No records should show for this borrower as this item type is hidden to them.
6) Log in as the borrower that should see everything (Adult)
7) Do the same search. There should be results from this search, as this borrower category has been specified as an exception to the hidden items

This bug changes how request metadata is obtained. Previously the
appropriate backend's metadata function would return it. For at least
the FreeForm backend, the metadata property names we title cased. The
datatable JS was expecting this and breaks with the new metadata getting
which is performed in the API controller, which just returns the
property names as they appear in the DB.
This patch changes the expectation of the JS to match what's coming back
from the API

This patch removes the potential use of borrower category as a ILL
request ID prefix. It makes no sense. We provide the ability for a site
to define a request prefix based on branch, there is no use case for
using the borrower category. Add to this that the borrower for every
request was being retrieved in order to get the category, it's a huge
performance hit also.
We also now require the <branch> block in the <interlibrary_loans> block
and complain if it's not present. The request prefix should be defined
in this block.
This patch also improves the performance of the API request that returns all
requests, optionally including additional data.
It also deprecates the overloaded TO_JSON method and moves the request
augmentation code into the API route's controller. It may be that we
want to shift it out of there at some point, but it is fine where it is
for now.

If you delete a record, confirm the deletion, and try to delete the
record and confirm it again befoe the first deletion completes, you'll
generate a fatal software error.
This patch unbinds the click handlers for the "Delete record" button
after the deletion is confirmed and just before the Javascript
processes the redirect to the next page in the process.
To test:
1) You will need a bibliographic record that is able to be deleted
2) Click "Edit", then "Delete record", then "OK"
3) While the browser is reloading, click "Edit", then "Delete record",
then "OK
4) Observe a fatal error such as "Internal server error" or 'Can't call
method "holds" on an undefined value at
/home/vagrant/kohaclone/C4/Biblio.pm line 406.'
5) Apply the patch
6) Run "restart_all" on kohadevbox (or otherwise restart Plack if
running Plack)
7) Navigate to another bibliographic record that is able to be deleted
8) Click "Edit", then "Delete record", then "OK"
9) While the browser is reloading, click "Edit", then "Delete record"
10) Observe that no fatal software error is generated
11) You are redirected to

The CSS for <div class="error"> is obsolete and should not be used. This
patch removes the definition from the main CSS file and corrects
instances of its use in the templates to the standard <div class="dialog
alert">.
To test:
- In Acquisitions -> Late orders, locate an order from a vendor which
doesn't have an email address. Selecting that order and clicking
"Claim" should trigger an error dialog, "This vendor has no email." It
should be styled correctly.
- With AcqCreateItem set to "when placing an order," add to an existing
order using the "From a new (empty) record" option. Add two items with
identical barcodes and submit the form. A error should show at
the top of the page.
- With AcqCreateItem set to "when receiving an order," receive an order
and add two items with identical barcodes. Submitting the form should
trigger an error message at the top of the page.
With the remaining cases I don't know how to trigger the errors in
question, so a visual check of the changes may be required:
- Administration -> Funds -> "You are not authorized to modify this
fund"
- Administration -> Search engine configuration
(/admin/searchengine/elasticsearch/mappgings.pl) -> Various
modification errors.
- With the AutoEmailOpacUser preference set to "send," adding a patron
without an email address can trigger an error, "This member has no
email."
- With plugins enabled, and installed, there are error messages
displayed under various circumstances.

This patch makes it possible to add arbitrary comments to ILL
requests. Comments are read only and displayed in chronological
order. Comments can be added by librarians, but also added automatically
based on comments in the different protocols, so that comments from the
lending library can also be added.
To test:
- Enable the ILL module ("ILLModule" syspref + config in koha-conf.xml)
- Install the Dummy backend from here:
https://github.com/PTFS-Europe/Dummy
- Create a Dummy ILL request
- Add comments to the request, checking that the name and borrowernumber
of the person that added the comment is displayed ok
- Check that the displayed date and time the comment was submitted follows
the "dateformat" syspref
- On the "List requests" page, check that the correct number of comments
is displayed in the "Comments" column
- Check that the tests pass:
prove t/db_dependent/Illcomments.t

The sort is done in SQL but resort by DataTables when displaying the
results.
iDataSort should be used to mimick date_due sort behavior.
Test plan:
- Check some items out
- Modify the checkout and due dates, like:
2018-10-22
2018-01-23
2018-05-27
- Sort by checkout date, then due date. The sort should be correct for
all values of the DateFormat syspref

Why? Because we must filter the variables when we display them.
If we escape them on assignement, they will be double escaped:
[% XXX = "<span>pouet</span>" | html %]
[% XXX | html %]
=> <span>pouet</span>
Also it will bring trouble if we are assigning a structure (see bug
21663 for instance).

dropdown should contain the authorised_values you have with the

This patch modifies the subscription detail page so that acquisitions
details section is not shown when there is no acquisitions data.
The acquisitions details are moved into a new tab similar to how it
appears on the bibliographic details page. A count of orders is now
passed to the template so that the check for existing acquisitions data
will work correctly.
To test, apply the patch and view the detail page for subscriptions.
- When viewing a subscription for which there are orders you should see
an "Acquisitions details" tab containing the acquisitions data.
- When viewing a subscription with no orders the tab should not appear.

in order to prevent <selects> styled by Select2 from collapsing at
narrower browser widths.
To reproduce the bug, apply all patches on Bug 20044 except this one.
Open the MARC editor and narrow the browser width to below 768 pixels.
Reload the page and view a tab which contains a <select> styled by
Select2 (942c is often an example). The <select> will have narrowed to
be almost invisible.

This patch makes some changes to addbiblio.css in order to improve
responsive changes to the MARC editor.
Note: This patch does not make changes affecting narrow browser widths.
The changes are focused on adapting to larger layouts affected by the
switch to the Bootstrap grid.
To test, apply the patch and clear your cache if necessary. Open an
existing record for editing in the standard MARC editor. View the page
at various browser widths and confirm that it looks correct.
Note: Because of the way the floating toolbar is displayed it does not
dynamically resize when you resize the browser. Reload the page after

This patch adds local copies of the font files specified in the original
patch. A new JavaScript file has been added, fontfaceobserver.min.js,
which helps gracefully load font assets.
https://github.com/bramstein/fontfaceobserver
Information about the new assets has been added to the about page.
When using web fonts, there can be a delay, while the browser loads the
font files, between the time the page loads and the time the fonts
render. Font Face Observer allows us to specify a default font for the
initial page render, and then apply the web font after it has loaded.
To test, apply the patch and regenerate the OPAC css. View any page in
the OPAC and confirm that the custom font renders properly.
View the About page in the staff client and confirm that the new license
information looks correct.

Some report wizards are missing row/column defaults, which sometimes return blank
pages (borrowers_stats.pl) or results always equalling 0, which a non-discerning
user may interpret incorrectly.
If the DEBUG environmental variable is enabled, missing row/column choices will
actually cause fatal software errors as well, which is also undesirable for users.
This patch adds default choices for row and column on
report wizards that had no radio buttons selected, so that a user
can't submit the form without choosing a row and column. This
prevents errors.

The idea of output_and_exit_if_error (added by bug 18403) is to make sure
parameters are valid before executing the script.
If not (old or broken URLs), we shortcut everything coming next to display a
generic error ("object does not exist", "you do not have permission to do that", etc.)
This bug report fixes the scripts under serials/*.
Test plan:
Hit the script under the serials directory with an invalid subscriptionid parameter
and confirm you get an error instead of the normal view with empty values.
The goal is not to be exhaustive during the first iteration, but at least to fix
the most common views.
For instance:
/cgi-bin/koha/serials/subscription-detail.pl?subscriptionid=XXX
/cgi-bin/koha/serials/serials-collection.pl?subscriptionid=XXX
/cgi-bin/koha/serials/routing.pl?subscriptionid=XXX&op=new
