This patch adds subtitle information to the display of titles in the
OPAC's shelf browser.
To test, apply the patch and make sure OPACShelfBrowser is enabled.
- View the detail page for any title in the OPAC which has items.
- Click the "Browse shelf" link next to any item in the holdings table.
- The titles in the shelf browser should display with all subtitle
information as defined in Keywords to MARC mapping.

This patch adds three parameters to the cron job: -before and -after, and
-branch.
You can run the cronjob now in an adjusted frequency: say once a week with
before 6 or after 6 (not both together). If your pref is set to 14, running
before=6 will include expiries from 8 days to 14 days ahead. When you
use after=6, you would include 14 days to 20 days ahead, etc.
You could also rerun the job of yesterday by setting before=1 and after=-1;
this could help in case of problem recovery.
Obviously, the branch parameter can be used as a filter.
NOTE: Why are these parameters passed only via the command line?
Well, obviously the branch parameter is not suitable for a pref.
The before/after parameter allows you to handle expiry mails different from
the normal scheme or could be used in some sort of recovery. In those cases
it will be more practical to use a command line parameter than editing a
pref.
NOTE: The unit test has been adjusted for the above reasons, but I also
added some lines to let existing expires not interfere with the added
borrowers by an additional count and using the branchcode parameter.
Test plan:
[1] Run the adjusted unit test GetUpcomingMembershipExpires.t
[2] Set the expiry date for patron A to now+16 (with pref 14).
Set the expiry date for patron B to now+11.
[3] Run the cronjob without range. You should not see A and B.
[4] Run the cronjob with before 3. You should see patron B.
[5] Run the cronjob with before 3 and after 2. You should see A and B.
[6] Repeat step 5 with a branchcode that does not exist. No patrons.

- Go to Patrons in the Intranet
- Make sure you have selected "Search fields" = Standard
- Search for "john" and verify both patrons show up

There are 2 prefs to drive this feature: StaffAuthorisedValueImages and
AuthorisedValueImages. AuthorisedValueImages is not added by
sysprefs.sql and does not appear in updatedatabase.pl, we could easily
imagine that nobody uses it.
With XSLT enabled, the feature is only visible on a record detail page
at the OPAC, if AuthorisedValueImages is set. Otherwise you need to turn
the XSLT off. In this case you will see the images on the result list
(OPAC+Staff interfaces) and OPAC detail page, but not the Staff detail
page.
This patch suggests to remove completely this feature as it does not
work correctly.
The ability to assign an image to an authorised value is now always
displayed, but the image will only be displayed on the advanced search
if defined.

By default ES returns the facet terms ordered by most used, which makes
sense.
This patch removes resort done in the scripts (catalogue/search.pl and
opac/opac-search.pl) and moves it to the module.
For Zebra it's now done in C4::Search::getRecords, and there is no

On the Elastic search side, we could imagine to let the library define
the order of the facets. The facet terms are now sorted by most used.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This patch will introduce a change in the behaviors for
configuration with a 0 in issuelength. Before this patch, the rule with
a issuelength==0 was skipped, now it's used!
Test plan:
1/ Do not define any rule: the due date will be today (before this patch
was +21 days)
2/ Define some rules which does not match the patron category, itemtype
or branchcode: the due date will be today (before this patch was +21
days).
3/ Modify a rule to match the checkout and set issuelength=0: the due
date will be today (before this patch, the rule was skipped)
4/ Modify this rule and set the issuelength to something > 0: the due
date will be adjusted (same behavior as before this patch)

From C4::Koha::GetAuthorisedValues
# TODO: the "selected" feature should be replaced by a utility function
# somewhere else, it doesn't belong in here. For starters it makes
# caching much more complicated. Or just let the UI logic handle it, it's
# what it's for.
Indeed, it's not a job for a subroutine, the template should take care of that.

- Item details for a catalogue record, the lost, damaged and withdrawn
value should be correctly displayed
- Edit a patron, the "street type" should be correctly selected
- Create a patron attribute type linked to an authorised value list.
- Edit a patron, set a value for this attribute, edit it again. The
correct value should be selected.
- Search for subscriptions. The 'Location' dropdown list should behave

Right now, ->dbh calls are actually quite expensive (they involve
DB connection health checks, each and every time). Some speed-sensitive
subroutines inside C4/Biblio.pm (GetMarcStructure, GetAuthorisedValueDesc)
have this statement
my $dbh = C4::Context->dbh;
on top of the code, but they don't always/don't usually need DB
handle - not at that stage at least. This trivial patch eliminates
unneeded ->dbh calls in those subroutines. With it, average
GetMarcStructure() running time goes down from 14 miliseconds
to 9 miliseconds (on top of Bug 16166), it also makes catalogue
search profiling a bit easier.

Add support for processing incoming Edifact Quotes, Invoices
and order responses and generating and transmission of
Edifact Orders.
Basic workflow is that an incoming quote generates an aquisition
basket in Koha, with each line corresponding to an order record
The user can then generate an edifact order from this (or another)
basket, which is transferred to the vendor's site
The supplier generates an invoice on despatch and this will
result in corresponding invoices being generated in Koha
The orderlines on the invoice are receipted automatically.
We also support order response messages. This may include
simple order acknowledgements, supplier reports/amendments
on availability. Cancellation messages cause the koha order
to be cancelled, other messages are recorded against the order
Which messages are to be supported/processed is specifiable on a
vendor by vendor basis via the admin screens
You can also specify auto order i.e. to generate orders from quotes
without user intervention - This reflects existing
workflows where most work is done on the suppliers website
then generating a dummy quote
Received messages are stored in the edifact_messages table
and the original can be viewed via the online
Database changes are in installer/data/mysql/atomicchanges/edifact.sql

This patch adds the ability to query the extended patron
attributes via the ILSDI web service's GetPatronInfo service.
Example: ilsdi.pl?service=GetPatronInfo&patron_id=3&show_attributes=1
A new element <attributes> will be added if there
are any attributes available from the database.
We need to discuss the security implications of showing the
attributes. At present it will allow querying of non-public
(OPAC-visible) information. We might want to change this.
Sponsored-By: Halland County Library
Test plan:
* Configure Koha to make use of extended attributes:
Under 'Administration' -> 'Global system preferences' ->
'Patrons' tab -> Set 'ExtendedPatronAttributes' to 'Enable',
press save and switch to 'Web services' tab.
* Enable the ILS-DI service:
Under 'Administration' -> 'Global system preferences' ->
'Web services' tab -> 'ILS-DI' section:
Set 'ILS-DI' to 'Enable' and save.
* Create an attribute to query:
Under 'Administration' -> 'Patrons and circulation' ->
'Patron attribute types' press 'New patron attribute type':
Enter a type code, like 'DOORCODE', description and assign
a category that your test patron is a member of, then save.
* Set value for test user:
Locate the test patron, the new attribute should be listed
under 'Additional attributes and identifiers'.
Click 'Edit' and assign a value, like '1337' and save.
* Query the ILS-DI service:
http://127.0.1.1/cgi-bin/koha/ilsdi.pl?service=GetPatronInfo&patron_id=1&show_attributes=1

Koha's SIP2 server should have support for the AV field ( field items ).
The biggest problem with this field is that its' contents are not really
defined in SIP2 protocol specification. All it says is "this field
should be sent for each fine item". Due to this, I think the contents of
the field need to be configurable at the login level, so that the
contents can be defined based on the SIP2 devices requirements for the
AV field.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Find a patron with outstanding fines
3) Run a patron information request using misc/sip_cli_emulator.pl using the new -s option with the value " Y "
4) Note there is an AV field for each fee containing the description and amount
5) Edit your sip config, add an av_field_template parameter to the login you are using such as
av_field_template="TEST [% accountline.description %] [% accountline.amountoutstanding | format('%.2f') %]"
6) Restart your SIP server
7) Repeat the patron information request

On debian Jessie, the CGI version is >= 4.08
Since this version, the param method raise a warning
"CGI::param called in list context".
Indeed, it can cause vulnerability if called in list context
https://metacpan.org/pod/CGI#Fetching-the-value-or-values-of-a-single-named-parameterhttp://blog.gerv.net/2014/10/new-class-of-vulnerability-in-perl-web-applications/
There is a long journey to get rid of these warnings.
First I suggest to redefine the multi_param method when the CGI version
installed is < 4.08, it will allow us to move the wrong ->param calls to
->multi_param without waiting for everybody to upgrade.
The different ways to call these 2 methods are:
my $foo = $cgi->param('foo'); # OK
my @foo = $cgi->param('foo'); # NOK, will raise the warning
my @foo = $cgi->multi_param('foo'); #OK
$template->param( foo => $cgi->param('foo') ); # NOK, will raise the warning
# and vulnerable
$template->param( foo => scalar $cgi->param('foo') ); # OK

The patron attributes displayed on editing a patron are not displayed if
limited to another library.
C4::Members::Attributes::SetBorrowerAttributes will now only delete attributes
the librarian is editing.
SetBorrowerAttributes takes a new $no_branch_limit parameter. If set,
the branch limitations have not effect and all attributes are deleted
(same behavior as before this patch).

Accessing to the cache for each call to C4::Context->preference might
have an impact on performances.
To avoid that this patch introduces a L1 cache (simple hashref). It will
be populated by accessing the L2 cache (Koha::Cache).
If a pref is retrieved 10x, the first one will get the value from the L2
cache, then the L1 cache will be check.
To do so we will need to clear the L1 cache every time a page is loaded.

Web pages that can be embedded in frames are vulnerable to cross-frame
scripting attacks. Cross-frame scripting is a type of phishing attack
that involves instructions to an unsuspecting user to follow a specific
link to update confidential information in an online application.
Because the link leads to a legitimate page from the online application
that is embedded in a frame hosted by the attackers' server, the
attackers can capture all the information that the user enters.

2 subroutines of C4::Members deal with guarantor/guarantees:
GetGuarantees and GetMemberRelatives.
Since we already have a Koha::Patron->guarantor method, it makes sense
to move these 2 subroutines to this module.
This first patch deals with GetGuarantees.
Test plan for the entire patch set:
1/ Create 5 patrons A (adult), B (child), C (child), D (child), E
(child), F (adult)
2/ Add relation between them: A is father of B, C and D.
E does not have a guarantor
F does not have guarantees
3/ Check some items out for all of these patrons
4/ On the "Check out" and "Details" tabs, you should not see any
differences with these patch applied : The "Relatives' checkouts" tabs
should list all of the guarantor/guarantee/siblings checkouts
Note:
$template->param('C' => 1);
I have not found any reference of this 'C' in the template.
It seems it's an old c/p from members/memberentrygen.tt

Looking at the code, there is some broken with the guarantees code.
It seems that the expected behavior would be to update address, fax,
B_city, mobile, city and phone info of the guarantees when a guarantor
is modified.
But the code in C4::Members::ModMember is broken:
668 my $borrowercategory= GetBorrowercategory(
$data{'category_type'} );
669 if ( exists $borrowercategory->{'category_type'} &&
$borrowercategory->{'category_type'} eq ('A' || 'S') ) {
670 # is adult check guarantees;
671 UpdateGuarantees(%data);
672 }
First, GetBorrowerCategory expects a categorycode, not a category_type.
Then UpdateGuarantees retrieves the param like:
989 sub UpdateGuarantees {
990 my %data = shift;
Which means that %data will always be something like ( a_key => undef )
And nothing more.
The updateguarantees subroutine (It has been renamed) has been introduced by
commit 56825e415f
Date: Mon Aug 30 13:48:58 2004 +0000
modularizing (with Members.pm) members management
(beginning of...)
And the `%data = shift` already existed...
This code has never worked and could be removed.

Now the sYstem tries to insert value of 205$a into 461$a when a child is
created from the father record. In UNIMARC 46x tags there is not
present a subfield for ediction value (205$a in UNIMARC).
To Test:
1) Check to have EasyAnalyticalRecords on 'off'
2) Check to use UNIMARC
3) Create a record with data in 200$a (title), 205$a (ediction), 700
(author) 215$a(Place), 215$d(date)
4) From those record create a child using 'New'->'New child record'
5) See the values in 461 tag: You can see that in 461$a there is the
value of 205$a from father This is wrong, you need to have the value
of 700 $a and $b from father record, and 205$a in 461$e.
6) Appy the patch
7) Redo 4-5

This patch fixes a bug whereby GetMember(searchfield => undef)
(i.e., searching for patron records where 'searchfield' is NULL)
would crash.
This fixes a regression introduced by bug 15344 that in turn
exposed a long-standing bug in GetMember().
To test:

least one return.
[2] Attempt to view the list of pending transactions; a crash
will occur.

this time, it should work.

This patch allows for more flexibility for determining when the number
of holds a record has should trigger the reduction of the loan length
for items on that record.
This patch adds a new system preference decreaseLoanHighHoldsControl,
which defaults to 'static', the original behavior of the feature.
It also has a new behavior 'dynamic' which makes the feature only
decrease the loan length if the number of holds on the record exceeds
the number of holdable items + decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue.
It also allows items to be filtered from the list of items based
on the damaged, lost, not for loan, and withdrawn values even if
those values would have allowed holds ( i.e. values < 0 )
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set decreaseLoanHighHolds to Enable
4) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsControl to "over the number of items on the record"
5) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsDuration to 1
6) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue to 3
7) Create a record with 5 items
8) Please 8 or more holds on the record
9) Check out one of the items to a patron
10) Note the loan length is reduced to 1 day
11) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue to 3 to 2
12) Check out one of the items to a patron
13) Note the loan length is *not* reduced
14) Enbale all the filters possible in decreaseLoanHighHoldsIgnoreStatuses
15) Set one item to be damaged
16) Note the loan length is reduced
17) Unset the damaged status
18) Repeat steps 15 - 17 for lost, not for loan, and withdrawn

The commit b5ecefd485
Date: Mon Feb 3 18:46:00 2003 +0000
had a funny description:
Added function to check if a MARC subfield name is "koha-internal"
(instead of checking it for 'lib' and 'tag' everywhere); temporarily
added to Koha.pm
"Temporarily", since 2003, everything is relative, isn't it? :)
The thing is that GetMarcStructure returns hash like
field_200 => {
subfield_a => {
%attributes_of_subfield_a
},
%attributes_of_field_200
}
The attributes for field_200 can be 'repeatable', 'mandatory', 'tag', 'lib'.
We don't want to loop on these values when looping on subfields.
Since there are just { k => v } with v is a scalar (string), it's easier
to test if we are processing a subfield testing the reference.
At some places, we don't need to test that, we are looping on values
from MARC::Field->subfields which are always valid subfields.
Test plan:
1/ Edit items using the batch item mod tool
2/ display and edit items via the cataloguing module.
You should not see any changes between before and after the patch
applied.
Tech notes:
We need to check what we are processing when we loop on 'subfields' from
GetMarcStructure, not from MARC::Field->subfields.

The original perltidy patch from Mason has been amended.
The perltidy itself has been moved to a separate patch with the current
perltidyrc applied.
As noted on Bugzilla, the original perltidy patch included some extra
changes:
[1] You prefix timestamp with Sip
This is not actually needed (it is imported), but if we should prefix it,
we should prefix now with C4::SIP::Sip. But you only changed two
occurrences (out of 26). So I remove these two changes.
[2] You remove the $server parameter from two calls of maybe_add:
A closer look at the remaining code tells me that $server is always
passed to maybe_add for FID_SCREEN_MSG. So this only left me the
current whitespace change.
But at least we documented what we did or did not, and why..

This subroutine just retrieved the messages given some parameters.
Some job should not have been done in this subroutine.
It was called only 3 times, in circ/circulation.pl and opac-user.pl.
Basically it was used to retrieved the message to displaye for a given
patron ($borrowernumber) at the OPAC (B) or Staff (L).
For the 3 calls, the 2 parameters $borrowernumber and $type
(message_type) were passed, the "%" trick at the beginning of the
subroutine was useless.
Moreover, the date formatting should be done on the TT side, not in
subroutine.
The can_delete flag was set if the branchcode given in parameter was the
same as the one of the message. This has been delegated to the template.
Indeed the can_delete was not valid, since it must depend on the
AllowAllMessageDeletion pref.
The test is now:
IF message.branchcode == branch OR
Koha.Preference('AllowAllMessageDeletion'')

The holds queue is typically generated many times a day in order to
select items to fill holds. Often these items are to be sent to a
different library. However, if the library whose item is picked to fill
a hold is closed, that hold will remain unfilled even if there are other
open libraries who own that item. It would be helpful if we could skip
closed libraries for the purpose of selecting items to fill holds.

This patch allows to resend both sent and failed messages.
With messages in 'sent' status, we have to be careful not to accidentally send
sent messages again. With the previous patch using GET request, this was likely
to happen because of browser storing the GET parameters.
This patch changes request method from GET to POST. Instead of a simple link,
we now have a form element.
In notices.pl we redirect back to notices.pl, because with POST there is a risk
of resending the message accidentally by form resubmission at refresh.
To test, find/create a Patron that has sent or failed notices in message_queue:
1. Enable EnchancedMessagingPreferences system preference
2. Go to Patrons -> Notices
3. In the Notice column, click the title of the sent or failed message
4. Observe that there is nothing for resending the sent or failed message
5. Apply the patches.
6. Reload Notices page and repeat step 3
7. Observe that there is now a link "Resend" in the Status-column
8. Click Resend
9. Observe that the message gets into 'pending' status

The C4::Letters module does not have a GetMessage subroutine, which
could be quite useful.
This patch adds it and simplifies the code added by the previous patch.
It also adds a few tests and fixes POD typos.
Note that ResendNotice only resends failed messages. This will avoid to
resend already sent messages (using an url from the browser history for
instance).
Signed-off-by: Brendan A Gallagher <brendan@bywatersolutions.com>
This patch adds a link 'Resend' under a notice in 'failed' status
in the Patron's Notices tab.
By clicking the link, we will request notices.pl with parameter
"resendnotice=XXXXX" where XXXXX is message_id. In notices.pl,
we then check whether the given message is actually in 'failed'
status. If so, we use the C4::Letters::ResendMessage(123) to
change the status of the message into 'pending'. This way it
will be processed again by the cronjob process_message_queue.pl.
To test, find/create a Patron that has failed notices in message_queue:
1. Enable EnchancedMessagingPreferences system preference
2. Go to Patrons -> Notices
3. In the Notice column, click the title of the failed message
4. Observe that there is nothing for resending the failed message
5. Apply patch.
6. Reload Notices page and repeat step 3
7. Observe that there is now a link "Resend" in the Status-column
8. Click Resend

This patch adds:
- a new DB field items.new.
- a new page to configure this new status
(tools/toggle_new_status.pl).
- a new cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_item_modification_by_age.pl
was misc/cronjob/toggle_new_status.pl)
Why this status is useful for some libraries ?
The use cases are:
- to know easily what are the new items (with a simple sql query).
- to display an icon in the search results.
- issuing rules can be adapt for new items. Automatically (using the
cronjob script), the status change (depending the configuration) and
the item can be issued, for example.
- a RSS/Atom feeds can be created on these new items.
Test plan:
- log in with a librarian having the tools > items_batchmod permission.
- navigate to Home > Tools > Automatic item modifications by age (was: Toggle new status)
- click on the edit button
- there are 3 "blocks":
* duration: the duration during an item is considered as new.
* conditions: the status will change only if the conditions are meet.
* substitutions: if there is no substitution, no action will be done.
You can add some change to apply to the matching items.
E.g. ccode=3
new=''
If the value is an empty string (in other words, the input does not
contain anything), the field will be deleted.
You can create as many rules as you want.
- test the interface : add/remove rule, conditions, substitutions,
submit the form, edit, etc.
(There is a looot of JS everywhere, so certainly a looot of bugs...).
- when you have your rules defined, you can now launch the cronjob
script without any parameter.
A report will be displayed with the matching itemnumber and the
substitutions to apply. Verify results are consistent.
- launch the script with the -c argument and verify values have been
modified depending the substitution rules.

C4::Reports::Guided and reports/guided_reports.pl
It can be replaced with

Test plan:
1/ Create a sql report using an authorised value category, something
like:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM items where itemlost=<<lost|LOST>>
2/ Execute the report and confirm that everything works fine.
3/ Create a sql report using a nonexistent authorised value categor,
something like:

new syspref NoRenewalBeforePrecision.
To test:
1) Check out an hour-based loan with 'No renewal before' set to 1.
Switch syspref NoRenewalBeforePrecision between 'date' and 'exact
time'. Confirm that with both settings the item cannot be renewed
until exactly one hour before due.
2) Check out a day-based loan with 'No renewal before' set to 1 day.
Confirm that:
* with NoRenewalBeforePrecision set to 'date', renewal is possible
at 12:00 AM on the day before due.
* with NoRenewalBeforePrecision set to 'exact time', renewal is
possible at 11:59 PM on the day before due.

The singleBranchMode system preference does not make sense.
Either the install has only 1 library defined or several. In both case,
we can easily guess the behavior to follow.
So the idea of this patch is to replace the fetch of this syspref with a
call to count the number of libraries defined in DB.
Test plan:
1/ From a fresh Koha install, execute the DB entry to remove the pref.
2/ Define only 1 library
3/ Confirm that Koha behaves the same as before (try to change your
library, look at the facets)
4/ Create another library (or more) and reinsert the pref and set it:
insert into systempreferences (variable, value)
values('singleBranchMode', 1);
5/ Execute the DB entry
You should get a warning message.
6/ Repeat 3.

The borrowers table is defined COLLATE=utf8_unicode_ci which means
that cardnumbers may be saved in either lowercase or uppercase and
these are considered equivalent.

the incoming patron identifier and that retrieved from the db

another borrower if the stored cardnumber differed in case.

Nearly all cellular providers allow a person to send an text message to a cellular
phone by sending an email to phonenumber@provider. We can leverage this capability
to add the ability for Koha to send sms messages to patrons without the need to
subscribe to an sms gateway server.
Basic plan:
1. Add a table sms_providers to the db to tell Koha what service providers are available, and what domain emails should be sent to.
2. Add borrowers.sms_provider_id to tell Koha which mobile service the patron subscribes to for the number given in smsalertnumber
3. Modify Koha to send an email rather than using SMS::Send if the driver is set to 'Email'
Test plan:
0) Get a mobile phone
1) Apply the patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set the value of SMSSendDriver to 'Email'
4) Go to the admin page, the "Additional parameters" area should now have the link "SMS cellular providers"
5) On this page, add some providers. Make sure to add the provider for your own cellular phone service.
Here are some examples:
Sprint phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon phonenumber@vtext.com
T-Mobile phonenumber@tmomail.net
AT&T phonenumber@txt.att.net
Only add the domain part in the 'domain' field. So for Verizon, that would be 'vtext.com'
6) Create an account for yourself, add your SMS number, and select your provider from the dropdown box directly below it.
7) Enable SMS messaging for Item check-in and Item checkout
8) Check out an item to yourself
9) Run process_message_queue.pl
10) Wait! You should receive a text message shortly, when I tested it, I received my sms message within the minute.

Revert "Bug 6679 - [SIGNED-OFF] fix 2 perlcritic violations in C4/Installer/PerlModules.pm"
This reverts commit 0e356b214e.
Fixing the evals in PerlModules.pm to pass perl critic has caused
a regression. If appears that using a block eval will not work here,
at least not in its current form.
This patch includes:
[1] Adds primary key borrowernumber to new table.
[2] Fixes collation.
[3] Removes manual PK in DBIx schema file.
[4] Fixes typo CompletePasswordRevovery.
[5] Removes use strict from opac-password-recovery; Modern::Perl is used.

Koha already has a sub that creates salts, so lets use that instead of math::Random::secure, so as not to add a new dependency.
Made the references to "Forgotten password" consistent, including adding it to the title of the page.
Also removed the individual error for "this email doesn't belong to this account" as that could expose the existence of a login, which I think we'd rather not do.
Made some of the text more grammatically correct, and more library specific.

I've addressed a lot of Liz Rea's points.
1. I have moved the code from updatedatabase.pl and kohastructure.sql to a file in the atomicupdates directory.
1a. The feature is now off by default when the atomicupdate is run.
2. The password reset link is now visible on the home page, in the modal box and on opac-user.pl .
3. The password recovery pages now use bootstrap markup.
4. I am unsure here. I see "New Password:" and "Confirm new password:".
5. This should still work :).
6. I could not reproduce.
7. I have added the userid field.
You can now reset the password by submitting either your useid or email address.
Both fields can be filled, but the email address must be one of the borrower's (email, emailpro or b_email).
When entering only the email address and two borrowers use that same address, the system tells the user to try with another address or to specify his userid.
8. The text is in the atomicupdate file. Have at it, anyone.
Concerning the email. It is inconvenient for the use to have to wait X minutes for the message queue the be processed.
Maybe we could add a sub in Letters.pm that:
Takes the same argments as EnqueueLetter
Sends the letter.
Saves the letter in the message queue with a 'sent' status.
TEST PLAN:
Setup)
1) apply the patch
2) go to system preferences OPAC>>Privacy and set 'OpacResetPassword' to ON.
2b) make sure that OpacPasswordChange is also ON.
A)
1) refresh front page, click on 'Forgot your password' and enter a VALID address
1b) Also try an INVALID address (valid yet not in your koha db). An error message will show up.
2) An email should be received at that address with a link.
3) Follow the link in the mail to fill the new password.
Until a satisfactory new password is entered, the old password is not reset.
4) Go to main page try the new password.
B)
1) Repeat the password reset, this time use the userid (username) field.
2) Try to reset the password using a userid and an email not linked to the account. An error appears.
3) Make sure the borrower has many available email addresses.
4) For each email, reset the password using both the userid and the email. The link should be sent to the specified address
C)
1) Make sure two borrowers use the same email.
2) Repeat the reset procedure in test case A). An error message appears

When Koha export a bibliographic record to DC, makes it in XML format.
This XML not follows the DC-XML recommendations as should be: elements
in uppercase eg. dc:Date, dc:Creator, section 4.2, recommendation 4
explain that "The property names for the 15 DC elements should be all
lower-case." eg. dc:date, dc:creator" and section "4.3 Example - a
simple DC record", xsi:schemaLocation="http://example.org/myapp/http://example.org/myapp/schema.xsd" schema does not exist.
NOTE: This new feature implement the XSLT transformation for OAI-DC,
SRW-DC and RDF-DC
Test plan
---------------
1) Download Dublin Core file from record detail page. Open up the file,
and make sure that the document not follows the DC-XML
recommendations as should be.
2) Apply patch.
3) Go to whichever bib record in OPAC or staff and click on Save >
Dublin Core. A modal will display, prove all options.
4) Change the system preference 'Opac ExportOptions' by enabling and
disabling Dublin Core and try to download a record.
5) Try several bibliographic records in any format (book, magazine, DVD,
etc.) to confirm that properly exported.
6) Test with all marc flavours.

When some users want to improve performance, one suggestion is to switch the syspref "sessionstorage" to 'tmp',
which store the session info in the /tmp directory instead of the database.
Depending on the frequency of the cleaning process (or lack thereof),
this can be heavy pollution into the /tmp directory, making it unusable.
"rm cgi*" would not even work since cgi* extends to over 8000 items...
A simple fix is to modify the target directory in C4/Auth.pm to /tmp/cgisess.
Testing scenario:
1) change the syspref SessionStorage to 'tmp'
2) Log into the OPAC, validate that a file named /tmp/cgisess_(something) got created
3) Apply the patch
4) Log into the OPAC, validate that a file /tmp/cgisess/cgisess_(something) got created

Works as advertised. Session files are created in /tmp/cgisess/ instead
of directly in /tmp. I usually store sessions in memcached, but a
couple of times memcached has died on me, and before I knew it, /tmp
was so full of sessions files, I could not easily delete them with
"rm /tmp/cgisess*". Being able to delete /tmp/cgisess/ should be a
bit easier.

Ensure that a passed MARC::Record is defined before calling
its methods. Otherwise you are open to occurences of the
error 'Can't call method "field" on an undefined value'
In a CGI environment you can live with such sloppiness but
in a persistent environment the error can cause the instance
to abort.
Made all routines passed a MARC::Record validate it before calling
its methods. Changed the parameter name from the meaningless
record to marcrecord to indicate its content. Added an explicit return
for all cases where no valid data returned. Cleaned up some logic for
clarity. I think we can assume that GetNormalizedOCLCNumber meant to
look at all 035s till it found an OCLC number not just the first.

It appears that if the course item is edited by clicking the edit link
from an active course, the course item will be set to enabled and the
fields will be swapped, if the same course item is edited from a course
that is *not* active, the course item will be set to *not* enabled, and
the original fields will be swapped back in!
The short term work-around is to only edit course items from an enabled
course if the item has a course that is enabled. If all the courses it
is on are disabled, it doesn't matter what course the item is edited
from.
Test Plan:
1) Create two courses, 1 enabled and 1 disabled
2) Add an item as a course reserve to both courses
3) Edit the course reserve data for the item via the enabled course
4) Note the course item is enabled ( easy way is to check the database )
5) Edit the same course reserve data, but via the disabled course
6) Note the course item is now disabled even though it is part of
an enabled course!
7) Apply this patch
8) Repeat steps 1 through 5
9) Note the course item is still enabled

It's a bit confusing to have RESERVESLIP named "Hold Slip", we should
finish the job and recode the slip.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Try printing a hold slip, you should note no difference
from pre-patch behavior
Followed test plan. The slip is triggered if you want to check out
an item that is reserved / on hold for another patron. Works as expected.

We had to implement this fix for one of our customers using Shibboleth.
Can verify that it fixes the issue (which, incidentally, breaks

There is already a syspref called "OverdueNoticeBcc" for sending Bcc
copies of mails sent for overdues and other notices. This patch add a
new syspref ClaimsBccCopy to bcc the claimacquisition and clamissues
alerts.

Currently if the AnonymousPatron system preference is in use, all patron
data is anonymized. Some libraries would like to be able to see the last
patron who returned out an item ( in case of damage ) but still keep all
other patrons anonymized.
* Add the table items_last_borrower ( id, itemnumber, borrowernumber )
* Add new system preference StoreLastBorrower
* If StoreLastBorrower is enabled, upon checkin have Koha insert into
this table the patron who last returned this item. Replace existing
row based on itemnumber if exists.
* If table has a row for a given item, link to the patron from the item
details page.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Enable StoreLastBorrower
4) Issue an item to a patron and return said item
5) Issue the same item to a second patron, do not return it.
6) View moredetail.pl for the given bib, find the given item. There
should be a new field in the history list 'Last returned by' with a link
to the last patron to return the item.
Optionally, you can also verify this works even if patron issuing
history has been set to anonymize issues upon return.

This patch won't be easy to test. Indeed, a lot of file are updated.

This patch adds the ability to set the maximum fine for a given item to

4) Edit the circulation rule that would apply to this item
and the patron you will check it out to.
5) Check out the item to the patron, and backdate the due date
such that the fine generated would be more than 3.99

This patch is a _requirement_ to Bug #12771, and will be necessary once we start managing more than 3 levels of overdue notice
TEST PLAN
1) Create or improve on overduerules data
.1) Intranet -> tools -> overdue notices
.2) Make sure to have data in first, second and third tabs
.3) Make sure to have checked mixes of Email/Phone/Print/SMS (depending on availability)
.4) Make sure to have different letters and delay on first/second/third tab for at least one category
.5) Remember it all.
2) Apply patch
3) run installer/data/mysql/atomicupdate/update_13624_overduerules_transport_type.pl
4) run t/db_dependant/Overdues.t
5) Validate Overdue Notice page
.1) validate data entered previously is still there
.2) Add some more, save changes, validate
In installer/data/mysql/atomicupdate/update_13624_overduerules_transport_type.pl
- A new column and primary key, 'overduerules_id', is added to the table 'overduerules'
- A new column referencing a foreign key, 'overduerules_id', is added to the table 'overduerules_transport_types'
- The columns 'branchcode' and 'categorytype' are removed from the table 'overduerules_transport_types'
- Data is migrated from the old tables to the new ones
In installer/data/mysql/kohastructure.sql :
- Table 'overduerules'
- Added a primary key named 'overduerules_id'
- Table 'overduerules_transport_types'
- Added a foreign key named 'overduerules_id'
- Dropped columns 'branchcode', 'categorycode' since we now have them referenced through 'overduerules_id'
In tools/overduerules.pl
- INSERT and DELETE queries on 'overduerules_transport_types' were changed to reflect the new schema
In C4/Overdues.pm :
- The SQL query of the function 'GetOverdueMessageTransportTypes' is changed to take into account the new design of 'overduerules_transport
In t/db_dependent/Overdues.t :
- The INSERT calls before the tests were changed to take into account the new design of 'overduerules' and 'overduerules_transport_types'

This code was written before the introduction of Koha::Object(s)
Considering the triviality of updating the code, we should go ahead
and switch this code to use Koha::Object(s) now.
Currently, all serials enumeration data is stored in conglomerated
fashion in serial.serialseq. This makes it extremely difficult to do any
reporting based on the individual sequence values due to this fact. In
addition to the formatted version of the sequence, we should be storing
the individual values as well.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Create a new subscription, and add serials to it. The new x y and
z fields should be populated with the same data the replaces {X} {Y} and
{Z} in the enumeration field.
4) Inspect some existing serials. The update script will have made a
best effort to recover the existing enumeration data to store in
separate fields.

In C4/Letters.pm, sub _parseletter changes values that are passed by
reference. E.g. patron's expiry date can change from iso format to
syspref format, leading to strange behaviour in the calling routines
(see Bug 15423).
This patch makes sub _parseletter work on a copy of the referenced values.

When searching a patron, search type can be 'start with' and 'contain'.
If the search text contains a space (or a coma), this text is splitted into several terms.
Actually, the search on 'start with' with several terms never returns a result.
It is because the search composes an "AND" SQL query on terms.
For example (I display only the surname part) :
search type = contain :
'jean paul' => surname like '%jean% AND %paul%'
search type = start with :
'jean paul' => surname like 'jean% AND paul%'
The query for 'start with' is impossible.
I propose, for search with start with, to not split terms :
jean paul => surname like 'jean paul%'
One can always use '*' to add more truncation :
jea* pau* => surname like 'jea% pau%'
This bug affects a lot surnames with several terms like 'LE GUELEC' or 'MAC BETH'.
Note that the patch moves :
$searchmember =~ s/,/ /g;
It removes the test "if $searchmember" because $searchmember is tested and set to empty string previously :
unless ( $searchmember ) {
$searchmember = $dt_params->{sSearch} // '';
}
Test plan :
==========
- Create two patrons with firstname "Jean Paul"
- Go to Patrons module
- Choose "Starts with" in "Search type" filter
- Perform a search on "Jean Paul"
=> without patch : you get no result
=> with this patch : you get the two results
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jean Pau"
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jea* Pau*"
- Check you do not get results for search on "Jea Paul"
- Choose "Contains" in "Search type" filter
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jean Paul"
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jean Pau"
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jea* Pau*"
- Check you get the two results for search on "Jea Paul"

For these files it's a bit less obvious.
To make sure these changes won't introduce any regression, check that

This subroutine does a lot a processing and should only be called when
necessary.
In the get_template_and_user subroutine (so called from any pages of
Koha), it is call to pass the branchcode, title, firstname, surname and
borrowernumber values for the logged in user.
This subroutine calls GetMemberAccountRecords which retrieve the items
infos for all accountlines entries of the logged in user.
On members/members.pl, let's say you have 74 entries in the accountlines
tables, the page will execute 115 SELECT instead of 35 if you don't have any
accountlines entries.
With this patch, the number of SELECT is always 31.
To test this patch you should have technical skills to know what to do.
