This patch rewords the confirm message when removing patrons from a card
batch.
From: "Are you sure you want to remove card number(s):1 from this
batch?"
To: "Are you sure you want to remove the selected patron(s) from this
batch?"
To test:
1) Go to Tools -> Patron Card Creator -> Manage batches
2) Edit a batch
3) Select one or more patrons and click 'Remove selected patrons' (not
individual Delete buttons)
4) Confirm the message is worded better and easier to understand
5) Click OK and confirm the patrons are deleted as expected

The headers of the tables displayed in patroncards/manage.tt are hardcoded in the .pl and thus cannot be translated.
This simple fix reuse the translate_card_element tool already in the code to make the strings translatable.
Applied patch and verified that table headers on manage.pl display the same as before.

Change patroncards/create-pdf.pl to redirect with an error message
instead of writing an invalid pdf that does not open in pdf viewer.
To test:
- Apply patch
- Test that pdf creator behaves as before (with valid batches and
patron lists)
- While testing, copy pdf link address from window with title 'Click
the following link(s) to download...'
- Open another staff client browser tab
- Paste link to browser address field, change batch id rsp. patron
list id to an invalid value and submit
- The window should redirect to cgi-bin/koha/patroncards/create-pdf.pl
and display an error message
- Bonus test 1: Create an empty patron list and test patron card
creation. You should get an error message as appropriate.
- Bonus test 2: Use a link with params like the following:
...create-pdf.pl?borrower_number=61&template_id=2&layout_id=1&start_card=1
Verify that you can create a pdf with a valid borrower_number and that
you get the error message with an invalid borrower number

This patch is a proof-of-concept for replacing Greybox modals in
situations where in-modal page transitions happen. This one addresses
patron card export from the patron lists page.
To test you must have at least one patron lists containing patrons.
- Apply the patch and go to Patrons -> Patron lists.
- In the 'Actions' menu associated with your list, choose 'Print patron
cards.' A modal window should be triggered.
- In the modal window, change settings as necessary and click the
"Export" button.
- The modal should reload and display a link to download a PDF. Confirm
that the PDF download works correctly and that the correct patron
batch was processed.
- Repeat the process and confirm at each step that clicking the 'X'
button or the 'Cancel' link dismisses the modal window.
To confirm that changes to the patron card print template has not
adversely affected printing patron cards from the patron card creator
page:
- Go to Tools -> Patron card creator.
- Choose Manage -> Card batches.
- Click 'Export' for any batch.
- Confirm that the Greybox modal still works correctly for patron card
export.

This patch removes the use of "onclick" from several patron card creator
templates. Events are defined instead in JavaScript.
Also changed:
- Patron search pop-up window is now slightly larger because I found it
never quite large enough to prevent horizontal scrolling.
- Replaced "Borrower" with "Patron" in a couple of places.
- "Add" link in patron search pop-up is now styled as a Bootstrap
button.
- Removed Bootstrap styles from some submit buttons.
- Some Font Awesome icons were made using the invalid element
<icon></icon> instead of <i></i>. These are corrected.
- Fixed some other HTML validation errors.
To test, apply the patch and go to Tools -> Patron card creator.
- Choose New -> Card batch.
- Click "Add patrons" and perform a search for patrons in the pop-up
window.
- Click the "Add" button. The corresponding borrowernumber should be
added to the textarea in the parent window, and a message should
appear at the top of the pop-up window confirming that the patron
has been added. (Note: This patch fixes a version of Bug 13041 which
prevented the "add" button from working on patrons whose name
include an apostrophe).
- In the parent page, in the list of patrons you added to the batch,
confirm that clicking the "Delete" link triggers a confirmation
dialog. Test both confirming and canceling.
- Confirm that clicking the "Export" button next to an individual
patron triggers a modal window.
- In the export window, confirm that the "Cancel" link works to
close the modal.
- Click the "Export" button again and then the "Export" button in
the modal.
- Test that the "Done" button works to close the modal.
- Choose Manage -> Card batches.
- Test the "Delete" and "Export" buttons as described above.

This patch removes the use of event attributes from several templates
where the attributes were used to handle deletion operations. I've
grouped these changes in one patch because each template had only small
changes to be made.
Unrelated change: Reformatted the "no news items" message which is
displayed if there are no news items.
To test, apply the patch and test deletion operations on the following
pages. Clicking "delete" should prompty you to confirm. Test both the
confirm and cancel actions.
- On the staff client home page, test deletion of a news item.
- On the patron lists page, test deletion of a patron list.
- In the patron card creator, choose Manage -> Images. Test the "Delete"
button for a single image.
- On the news page, test deletion of a single news item.
- On the news page, test deletion of multiple items.

The staff client CSS is not language-specific, so it can be moved out of
the en/ directory and thus not be duplicated for every translation.
In order to be able to have a generic path to the YUI CSS files, the YUI
directory is moved by this patch to the staff client's lib/ directory.
To test, apply the patch and visit various pages in the staff client.
Look in particular at pages which include more than the standard CSS.
For example:
- The staff client login page.
- The staff client home page.
- Patron -> Set permissions.
- The advanced cataloging editor.
- Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Basket groups.
- Tools -> News -> Edit news.
- Administration -> System preferences.

If patron infos contain invalid JSON chars (\t for instance), the
results won't appear.
The solution is to escape these info.
Test plan:
Edit patron infos in DB (update borrowers set surname="foobar\t" where
borrowernumber=42)
Search for foobar (you should have more than 1 result)
Without this patch, DT retrieves a bad formatted JSON and the results
won't appear.
With this patch, the table result appears

Since the changes made by Bug 16020, some CSS and images are no longer
needed by the label and patron card creator modules. This patch removes
the unnecessary files and CSS.
To test, apply the patch and go to Tools -> Label creator.
- Confirm that the label creator home page doesn't look broken.
- Go to Tools -> Patron card creator and confirm that the page doesn't
look broken.
- Search Koha files for references to label-creator-image.png. There
should be none.

I can find no reference to card-print.pl being used in Koha. This patch
deletes it and its associated template.

This script does not work, it fails with 'Undefined subroutine
get_label_output_formats'. This subroutine was in C4::Labels::Lib which
has been removed by 2433a91 (Feb 8 2010): Removing depricated file from the
C4::Labels module.

Most of the scripts called via greybox (which uses iframe) don't include
doc-head-close. But some do.
This patch adds a popup parameter for these templates, not to include
the legacy browser trick and avoid the replacement of the location.

This patch adds the possibility to print patron cards from patron lists.

- Go to Home > Tools > Patron card creator
- Prepare a patron card and create some cards using the batch functionality
- Apply patch
- Prepare a patron list e.g. from patron search
- Go to Home > Tools > Patron card creator > Manage batches
- Below the list of batches you have a dropdown to select a patron list
- Select your list and hit "Export from patron list"
- Select template and layout as you would do with batches
- Hit "Export"
- Download PDF

This patch removes the \n\n from a translatable string
as those don't translate correctly to new lines.
It also switches 'item' for 'patron' to avoid confusion
with catalog items.
To test:
1) Trigger changed error message
- Create a new batch with 1 patron entry
- Select patron in list using the checkbox
- Click 'Remove selected patrons' in toolbar
- Verify alert displays correctly
2) Verify that the page no longer uses "items" but

Fixes the incorrect msg "Please select at least label to delete."
for attempts to delete from single patron batches. Notifies the
user that doing so will delete the batch. It disallows direct
deletion, instead suggests the users to use the 'Delete batch'
option assuming the users know what they are doing.
Test plan
=========
1/ Load a single patron batch in edit mode and attempt to delete
the single record. The JS alert message will inform that "Please
select at least label to delete."
2/ Apply patch and refresh page and try to delete the single record
again.
3/ This time the alert will inform the user that doing so will delete
the batch and should that be desired action to choose the 'Delete
batch' option from the toolbar.

Previously the code didn't work if there was only one batch available for selection.
This fixes that now. Also there was a bug with wrong string showing now it's
changed to a general one, "items". I choosed the string "items" because there was
difficulties adding the plural part of the word. One cannot add just s to the end
of the word batch like you can in the case of profile.

Allows the user to delete multiple patron card batches.
Test plan:
1. Add first some 20 batches
2. Go to the edit page of some X batch by first selecting from the
batch list the batch you want to edit and then after that by clicking
edit.
3. Delete one batch by selecting one batch and then clicking delete.
4. Select 0 batches and click delete, notice you cannot delete.
5. Select 0 batches and click edit, notice you cannot edit.
6. Select 2 batches and click edit, notice you cannot edit.
7. Apply patch
8. Check that steps from 2-6 work like they worked before.
(and add more batches so that you have ~20 of them)
9. Select 2 batches and click delete. Make sure they are deleted.
10. Try to figure out some anomalies this patch might have caused.

This patch makes the page title and breadcrumbs more consistent.
It does so by removing some text (Manage...) and using Edit (id) and Create
on building both the breadcrumbs and titles.
To test:
- Traverse all the Label creator options
=> FAIL: the texts are not consistent and don't match what we use in the patron card creator.

Librarians will be doing patron card things in the following frequencies, from most frequent to least frequent:
1. Creating new patron card batches - every day/every few days
2. Managing existing card batches - every day/every few days
3. Managing existing card layouts - as needed, infrequent
5. Managing existing card templates - as needed, infrequent
6. Creating new card layouts - as needed, infrequent

This change to the patron card creator aims to make the most frequently used items easily accessible at the top of the main area,
reduces clutter on the page, and makes the label creator fall in line with UI paradigms found elsewhere in Koha.
I think I've also improved the translatability here somewhat, please check that.
To test:
Open the patron card creator: More -> Tools -> Patron card creator
Note that the toolbar has changed. It should be consistent across all of the patron card creator (it is an include).
+ New menu:
patron card batch
1. make sure it looks ok - toolbar buttons are consistent at the top of the main block.
2. add patrons both by borrowernumber, and by search
3. note that the usual buttons have moved below the textarea, and now have icons.
4. delete and export single patrons using the buttons corresponding to each patron
5. select multiple and use the buttons above the table to remove and export selected patrons
6. export a full batch
7. deduplicate a batch
There should be no regressions in functionality.

This patch changes the functionality of adding patrons to patroncard batches. Instead of using only the patron search, there is now a textarea which can either be manually populated with borrowernumbers, or can be populated using the patron-search
To test:
1 - Create a new patron batch
2 - Click the add items button, if there is no data in the borrowrnumber form you should get a popup
3 - Add items to batch using the popup, borrowernumbers should populate to the form
4 - Click add items again and items should be added to a new batch
5 - Create a new batch
6 - Manually enter invalid borrowernumbers to the form
7 - Click add items, batch should return empty
8 - Manually enter valid borrowernumber
9 - Click add items, batch should be updated
10 - Edit an existing batch and confirm add items works as above
11 - Create a new label batch
12 - Click add items with no data, popup item search should appear
13 - Adding items by checking boxes or using 'Add' button - they should populate the text box on the edit batch page
14 - When adding using form the 'Enter by itemnumber' button should be marked automatically
15 - Submit items and confirm they are added to batch
16 - Create a new batch, enter by barcode manually and check 'Enter by itemnumber"
17 - Click add items, no items should be added
18 - Repopulate form with barcodes, check 'Enter by barcode'
19 - Click add items, items should be added correctly
20 - Test various combinations of radio buttons and numbers and using form or not

The size of the barcode in patron card creator was hardcoded to 1% of the card height and 80% of the card width.
This patch exposes both values in the layout editor. If no values are given, the previousely hard coded values (0.01 / 0.8) are used in order to work with existing card definitions.
To test:
- Go to Home > Tools > Patron card creator
- Export a patron card (PDF) from en existing definition
- Apply patch
- Export patron card again, compare results (should be the same)
- Go to Home > Tools > Patron card creator > Manage card layouts
- Edit the layout you use for testing and set barcode scaling values e.g. to 0.03 for height and 0.4 for widht
- Export patron card again, verify that barcode size changed

This third patch removes the previous way to search for patron cards users.
Test plan:
1/ Add items to a patron card batch (patroncards/edit-batch.pl?op=edit&element_id=X)
2/ Add 1+ patrons to the batch
3/ Confirm there is no regression

The patron cards always printed from position 1 on the print form, because patroncards/create-pdf.pl expected start_label as parameter and got star_card instead.
To verify and test:
1)
Go to Home > Tools >Patron card creator >Manage batches
2)
Select a batch anc click "Export"
3)
Set "Enter starting card number" e.g. to 5
4)
Export
5)
Download PDF and view it
Result: The first card is always printed on position 1 (top left) instead of position 5.
Apply patch
Repeat steps above
Step 3) should now read "Enter starting card position"
Result after step 5)
The first card ist printed at the correct position on the printing form.

The browse by last name letters on the patron search for the patron card
creator doesn't work quite right. If extended patron attributes are
disabled, it works fine, but if they are enabled, they are searched even
when using the browse last name. Thus, if a searchable attribute has a
"D" in it, and one clicks the "D" link for the last name browser, that
patron will show even if he or she has no "D" in his or her hame!
Test Plan:
1) Enable extended patron attributes
2) Add a new searchable patron attribute
3) Create a new patron with the last name "Ace"
4) Add the value "D" to the attribute for this patron
5) Browse to the patron card maker, start a new patron batch
6) Click "Add item(s)" to bring up the patron search
7) Click the letter "D" in the patron search box
8) Note that "Ace" shows in the results list
9) Apply this patch
10) Repeat step 7
11) Note that "Ace" no longer shows in the results list
12) Perform a regular search by putting the letter "D" in the "Name:"
field, and hit the "Search" button
13) Note this time the results *do* have Ace in them

This works as described, no problems or regressions found.
When searching for patrons to add to a patron card creator batch there
is a text input field for submitting a patron category. This should be a
dropdown menu. This patch corrects it.
To test, go to Tools -> Patron card creator and click "New batch."
- Click the "Add item(s)" button.
- Confirm that in the Patron search pop-up window there is a dropdown
menu populated with existing patron categories.
- Confirm that searches limited by patron category return correct
results.
- Confirm that the correct patron category is automatically preselected
after performing a search limited by category.
- Confirm that reordering the table of search results works correctly.
