The subroutines listed in the former patch are extensively tested in
Biblio.t, TransformKohaToMarc.t and TransformMarcToKoha.t.
These tests do no longer use new frameworks to add mappings.
In Biblio.t and TransformMarcToKoha.t we also test passing an individual
framework code (for an empty framework) to see if Default is still used.
Note that this parameter will be removed later on.
In Items.t the cache keys MarcStructure-0- and MarcStructure-1- are not
touched, so they do not need to be cleared. The cache key
default_value_for_mod_marc- should be used without framework now.
Similar adjustments in Items/AutomaticItemModificationByAge.t and
Reserves.t.
Furthermore the subtest for _build_default_values_for_mod_marc in Items.t
is adjusted since framework is no longer relevant. The biblio record with
items is created in a new framework, but the mappings from Default are
consulted.
Test plan:
Run all adjusted unit tests.

This is a follow-up on the internal server error on 0000-00-00 in the items
column onloan. This patch deals with preventing to have such dates at all
in the date fields of items.
It is accomplished by:
[1] Adding a (private) subroutine _mod_item_dates. It takes an item hash
and replaces date values if needed.
[2] AddItem and ModItem call _koha_new_item resp. koha_modify_item. In these
routines a call to the new _mod_item_dates is inserted.
[3] Although the routine is actually private, I have added some unit tests
to Items.t.
Test plan:
[1] Add a new item. Fill a correct date in dateaccessioned and an invalid
date in Price effective from (=replacementpricedate).
[2] Verify that dateaccessioned is saved correctly and replacementpricedate
is still null (does not contain 0000-00-00).
[3] Edit the item again. Fill some text in dateaccessioned and put a correct
date in replacementpricedate. Verify the results.
[4] Run t/db_dependent/Items.t

If memcached is running, the pref's value will be set in cache, what we
do not want.
t/db_dependent/Context.t and t/db_dependent/sysprefs.t are exceptions
for obvious reasons.

Currently GetItem sets itemtype to the biblio itemtype if no item level
itemtype exists. Instead, it should only do this if item_level-itypes
is not set.

The marc subfield structure is currently cached using a global variable
of C4::Context. The infos are retrieved every time a new context is
created.
This patch suggests to use Koha::Cache instead.
To achieve this goal, a new subroutine is created
C4::Biblio::GetMarcSubfieldStructure, it will be called from code which
needs to get the marc subfield structure. GetMarcFromKohaField,
GetMarcSubfieldStructureFromKohaField, TransformKohaToMarc and
_get_inverted_marc_field_map are modified accordingly and the cache is cleared
when the table is updated (from the 3 pl scripts modified by this patch).
The caching done in C4::Context (marcfromkohafield) is removed.
Test plan:
Play with the marc subfield structure (in the administration module),
then add and edit records and make sure everything went fine.

With the global %default_values_for_mod_from_marc variable, the changes
made to the marc_subfield_structure table and especially the links
between MARC and DB fields are not safe and might be outdated (if a
field is linked/unlinked)
Test plan:
Under Plack:
- Link the barcode field, edit a record and set a barcode.
- Remove the mapping for the barcode field and then update again the
barcode of the record.
The items.barcode DB field must not have been updated.
Without this patch, the field should have been updated.

Items.t inserts an item via biblioitem not correctly linked to biblio.
The new foreign key constraint does not allow that.
Actually, we should be choosing to either remove biblioitems from Koha or
remove biblionumber from items.
Note: This seems to be the only case where an item is added this way.

C4::Branch::GetBranchDetail retrieved library infos, it could be easily
replaced with Koha::Libraries->find
When this change needs other big changes, the unblessed method is
called, to manipulate a hashref (as before) instead of a Koha::Library
object (for instance when $library is sent to GetPreparedLetter).
Test plan:
1/ Print a basket group, the library names should be correctly
displayed.
2/ Enable emailLibrarianWhenHoldIsPlaced and place a hold, a HOLDPLACED
notice will be generated (focus on the library name)
3/ Edit a patron and change his/her library
4/ Generate the advanced notices (misc/cronjobs/advance_notices.pl) and
have a look at the generated notices
5/ Same of overdues notices
6/ Set IndependentBranches and use a non superlibrarian user to place a
hold. The "pickup at" should be correctly filled.

There was already 2 Koha::Branch[es] using Koha::Object[s] before.
For this new rewrite, it seems preferable to start with good basis and
name the new modules Koha::Library and Koha::Libraries.
Tested both patches together, works as expected.

Tests assume that the branchcodes CPL/MPL/etc. already exist in the DB.
If they need them, they should create them.
Test plan:
Execute the differente test files on a DB without any branchcode or
at least without CPL/MPL branches.

This trivial patch introduces the code needed on the test files so they handle
the DB transaction instead of relying on the (removed) transaction started/rolled back
by TestBuilder.
Tested all of the files before and after applying the patch, resultes are the same.
(Pass exept of t/db_dependent/Barcodes_ValueBuilder.t, this has the same error).

The permanent_location should not be set to CART or PROC when the item
is edited.
Otherwise we lost an important info.
Test plan:
0/ Set the ReturnToShelvingCart pref
1/ Create an item with location "on_my_shelf"
2/ Check the item in and out
3/ Look at the DB values, location should be "CART" and
permanent_location unchanged (on_my_shelf)
4/ Edit the item, add a note for instance
5/ Without this patch, the permanent_location is erased with 'CART' and
you have definitely lost the info.
With this patch, the permanent_location is unchanged.

Koha::Item->effective_itemtype should fallback to biblio-level itemtype
even if item-level item types are set, in the case the item has no itemtype
set (bad migration, bad old code).
To test:
- Run
$ prove t/db_dependent/Items.t
=> FAIL: Koha::Item->effective_itemtype doesn't work properly
Edit: Added a test for a warning when falling back as per QA request
and because it made a lot of sense :-D

There is no need to define biblioitem routines, if we can access them
via biblioitemnumber.
Note that we actually need a FK for biblio in the items table. Now we do
need the intermediate level via biblioitems in the Items.t code. Even better,
we should move biblioitem to biblio. Formally it is 1-n, but in reality it
is 1-1.

These 2 bugs are in conflict.
The first one always join the issue table, the second one join on this
table too if the OnSiteCheckouts pref is enable.
So DBI raises an error if the pref is enabled (2 joins on the same
table).
This patch removes the conditional join.
Test plan:
Go on a detail record page with items and verify that items are list and
that the error no more appears in the log file.

While testing the string change on 12264, I had this result:

This was caused by this line in the unit test:
my $biblionumber = get_biblio();
This routine returns:
return ($bibnum, $bibitemnum);
So instead of the bibnum the bibitemnum is saved in biblionumber.
In my test database bibnum and bibitemnum somehow got out of sync, revealing
this bug :)
The fix is just adding parentheses:
my ( $biblionumber ) = get_biblio();

One of the tests claims 'item-level_itypes is disabled'
when it should be 'item-level_itypes is enabled'.
Patch fixes this.
To test:
- run t/db_dependent/Items.t
- tests should all pass
- verify the last test reads 'enabled'
- look at the code and see it's true

This patch removes changes in two cases to work around the fact that
Koha::Database and C4::Context were not using the same DBI database
handle.
To test:
[1] Run prove -v t/db_dependent/ILSDI_Services.t and
prove -v t/db_dependent/Items.t. Both tests
should fail.
[2] Apply the main patches and run step 1 again. This
time, both tests should pass.

There are many disparate areas of Koha that deal with item level
itemtypes vs record level itemtypes. We can take advantage of
DBIx::Class to make smarter objects that automatically return the
correct value depending on the system preference.
