At the last development meeting we have voted to remove the
QueryParser-related code

system preferences
This patch adds CodeMirror plugins for linting JS, CSS, HTML, and YAML.
When invalid data is entered in a linted CodeMirror editor an icon is
displayed in the editor's "gutter." Hovering over the icon displays the
error message.
This patch renames the minified CodeMirror JS file to match convention
but the version is unchanged.
To test, apply the patch and go to Administration -> System preferences.
Test preferences of each type and confirm that each type of CodeMirror
editor shows an error indicator if you entry invalid data. Valid data
should trigger no error indicator.
- HTML: e.g. OpacMainUserBlock, opacheader. Enter invalid HTML, for
example "<h1>Hello <h2>World</h2>."
Example valid HTML: "<h1>Hello world</h1>"
- JavaScript: e.g. OpacUserJS, IntranetUserJS. Example bad JS,
"alert("Success!');"
Example valid JS: "alert("Success!");"
- CSS: e.g. IntranetUserCSS, SCOUserCSS. Example bad CSS,
"p { color blue }"
Example valid CSS, "p { color: blue; }"
- YAML: e.g. OpacHiddenItems. Example bad YAML:
"one: two, three: four"
Example valid YAML:
"one: two
three: four"
Also test that other CodeMirror instances still work correctly without
linting: The advanced MARC editor, SQL reports editing.

The JavaScript used to process background uploads calls the humanMsg
library under some circumstances. There are several templates which use
background-job-progressbar.js which don't include the humanMsg assets.
This patch corrects those templates.
Note: upload-images.tt has been modified to remove the inclusion of
background-job-progressbar.js because it was unused.
To test, apply the patch and test the following processes which include
background job processing:
- Batch item modification -- the background job is triggered when you
submit your changes
- Batch record modification -- the background job is triggered when you
submit your changes
- Stage MARC for import -- the background job is triggered when you
click the "Sage for import" button after uploading a file
- Staged MARC management -- the background job is triggered when you
click "Import this batch into the catalog"
In each case the process should complete correctly. If you would like to
test the error message handling provided by the humanMsg library you can
deliberately introduce an error into the JavaScript. After applying the
patch you can modify js/background-job-progressbar.js to alter line 63
from:
url: f.action,
...to:
url: f.action + "foo",
Perform the same tests and confirm that you see an error message. Don't
forget to undo your changes to background-job-progressbar.js before
signing off.

This patch reimplements the OPACPopupAuthorsSearch feature so that it
will work in the XSLT view.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the OPAC CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
- View the detail page for a bibliographic record in the OPAC.
Test under the following conditions:
- OPACPopupAuthorsSearch ENABLED, OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay "default"
- OPACPopupAuthorsSearch ENABLED, OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay empty
- OPACPopupAuthorsSearch DISABLED, OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay "default"
- OPACPopupAuthorsSearch DISABLED, OPACXSLTDetailsDisplay empty
In each of these cases, test the detail page's listing of additional
authors/contributors and subjects. Test records which have both multiple
contributors or subjects and which have only one author or subject.
When OPACPopupAuthorsSearch is turned on, verify that the author/subject
selection modal appears and that your selections are correctly combined
to build a search string.
Note that OPACPopupAuthorsSearch feature has a problem with terms
containing parentheses. The issue predates this patch.

This follow-up uses the updates introduced by Bug 23253 as a model for
improving the display of opacheader. Adding the OpacHeader variable
allows the template to check for its existence and display some
container markup around opacheader if it exists. This will help ease the
transition for libraries who depend on the #opacheader id for styling.

This patch makes a number of improvements and ties up some loose ends
where the old system preference usage wasn't getting replaced.
- Removes news-specific code for defining the language of news
items queried for the OPAC home page. An identical language variable
is already defined globally.
Previous to this patch an 'opacheader' news item would only appear on
the OPAC home page. Now it should appear on all OPAC pages.
- Changes the database update so that 'opacheader' news
items will be inserted with a default title, matching the interface's
requirement that the title field be populated.
- The database update will also now insert the old opacheader system
preference contents into the news item for all active languages as
defined in the 'opaclanguages' system preference. This helps match
the previous behavior in which the opacheader contents were the same
for all languages.
- Adds support for the new opacheader news item to the self checkout,
self check-in, and OPAC maintenance pages.
- Updates sysprefs.t which was using the opacheader preference to test
on. I've changed it to use URLLinkText instead.
- Removes the addition of the opacheader system preference from the
installation SQL file.

This patch builds on Bug 22318 to move the opacheader system preference
into the Koha news system, making it possible to have language- and
library-specific content.
It extends the original patch by adding an option to the template plugin
specifying whether the content title should be shown (probably should be
a flag in opac_news). It also adds a wrapper div with the content
location as the ID (e.g. 'opacheader'). This will make it slightly more
backwards-compatible with CSS customizations.
To test you should have some content in the opacheader system
preference. Apply the patch and run the database update process.
- Go to the OPAC and confirm that the content which was previously in
the opacheader system preference now displays correctly where it was
before.
- In the staff client, go to Tools -> News and verify that the content
from opacheader is now stored in a news item with the location
'opacheader_en.'
- Go to Administration -> System preferences and confirm that the

Bug 15497 introduced the ability to limit item types by library.
However, the text next to the 'Library limitation' selection field on
the item type form mentions authorized values and is confusing.
The current text reads: "Select 'All libraries' if this authorized value
must be displayed all the time. Otherwise select libraries you want to
associate with this value."
This patch updates the text on the item type add or edit form for the
'Library limitation' field to something more understandable.
To test:
1) Apply the patch
2) Go to Administration > Basic parameters > Item types
3) Click 'Edit' for any item type
4) The text next to the 'Library limitation' field should now show
"Select 'All libraries' if all libraries use this item type. Otherwise,
select the specific libraries that use this item type."
5) Sign off

To prevent invalid values in this pref (and so on the server), we should
make this input readonly on the syspref page.
The sysprefs related to Hea should be edited from the dedicated page, so
also adding a note about that.

When adding MARC modification template (MMT) actions, if a subfield
value of 0 (zero) is entered it will not show up in the action's
description upon saving. Also, if you try to modify an authority or
biblio record using actions that refer to subfield 0 the procedure
will fail.
This patch fixes that.
Test plan:
0) Create a MARC modification template and add some actions to it,
ideally testing all action types (Delete/Add new/Update existing
or add new/Move/Copy/Copy and replace); make sure you input a 0
(integer zero) in the text box for the subfield value(s).
1) As you save each action, observe that subfield 0 ($0) is missing
from the action description.
2) Home > Tools > Batch record modification: try to modify a biblio-
graphic record using the modification template you just created.
Observe that you get an error in the system logs if you click on
'Show MARC' or 'Modify selected records'.
3) Apply the patch.
4) Repeat steps 0-2. The subfield value ($0) should be displayed in
the action description and the Batch record modification should
work without problems.

It is the same as for debit types.
It adds a new column `archived` in table `account_credit_types` that has
the same purpose than `account_debit_types.archived`
Test plan:
0. Apply patch && run updatedatabase && update_dbix_class_files
1. Go to Admin » Credit types
2. Add a new credit type, give it a code and a description and check
'Can be manually added'
3. Go to a patron's accounting section, 'Create manual credit' tab
4. Verify that the new credit type appears
5. Return to Admin » Credit types and archive the credit type
6. Verify that the new credit type is not available anymore in 'Create
manual credit'
7. Restore the credit type and verify that it is available again
8. Create a manual credit with the new credit type
9. Go to Reports » Cash register and make sure you can find the
transaction by filtering on transaction type
10. Edit the new credit type and set some library limitations, make sure
that the credit type doesn't appear if you're connected to a library
you didn't selected, and that it appears if you're connected to a
library you selected.
Note to QA team:
The change in Koha/Account.pm, I added it because otherwise Koha died
when adding a manual credit with a custom type.

This is an interface for quick and efficient browsing through records.
It presents a page at /cgi-bin/koha/opac-browse.pl that allows you to
enter the prefix of an author, title, or subject and it'll give you a
list of the options that match that. You can then scroll through these
and select the one you're after. Selecting it provides a list of records
that match that particular search.
To Test:

4 - Enable the new syspref OpacBrowseSearch
5 - Have ES running and some records in it
SearchEngine syspref set to Elasticsearch
6 - Browse to opac home, click 'Browse search' link

7 - Test searching for author, title, and subject
8 - Verify that results are returned in expected order
9 - Experiment with fuzziness

Picking Quantity ordered as it seems more in line with
other pages in Koha where we show information. We always
show the quantity, so it makes sense to also have this
label on the 'order search' and 'copy existing order'.
Order search

2) Go to the top and do an empty orders search
3) Review the column headings of the search results
4) Find "Pending order"
Order from existing order (copy)
1) Create or choose an existing open basket
2) 'Add to basket' - 'From existing orders'
3) Search to find some of your orders
4) Look at the column headings, find 'Pending order'
5) Pick some orders and fill out order information, save

Adds the "Attributes" field to z3950 servers.
The feature here is not quite de same.
In the old patches, the attributes were applied to individual query parts if the part already contains "@attr" and the additionnal attribute is not already in the query part.
Here, the content of the new field is prepended to all PQF queries sent to the server.
This new way of doing is simpler and works for the sponsor.
Test plan:
I) Apply the patch
II) Run updatedatabase.pl
1) Add a new z3950 server with the following parameters:
Hostname : catalogue.banq.qc.ca
Port : 210
Database : IRIS
Syntax : Marc21
2) Perform a z3950 search on that server.
Keyword (Any) : egypt

@attr 4=1
4) Perform the same z3950 search

In French, everything has one of the binary genders (male or female),
and it affects the past tense verb agreements.
This patch adds contextualization for the "Created" verb
The following files have been modified:
booksellers.tt - refers to a basket
basket.tt - refers to a basket
transferorder.tt - refers to a basket
memberentrygen.tt - refers to a patron restriction
suggestion.tt - refers to a suggestion
To test, apply the patch and visit all those pages in English to make
sure there is no change.
1) Go to Acquisitions
2) Search for vendors
3) On the vendors result pages, check the 'Created by' column heading
of the baskets
4) Click on one of the baskets, check the basket info at the top,
it should say 'Created by:'
5) Click Transfer on one of the orders
6) Search for and choose a vendor
7) In the list of that vendor's basket, it should say 'Created by'
8) Go to a patron's account
9) Add a manual restriction in the Restrictions tab at the bottom
10) In the restriction info, it should say 'Created'
11) Click on the Purchase suggestions tab on the left
12) Add a new suggestion
13) In the Suggestion management section, it should say 'Created by:'
14) Submit the suggestion
15) From the list of suggestions, click on the title
16) In Suggestion management, it should say 'Created by:'
Next, install a new language (fr-CA used as example)
1) translate create fr-CA
2) open fr-CA-messages.po and add a translation for 'basket created by',
'patron restriction created on' and 'suggestion created by' (it doesn't
have to be real, just write something different for each)
3) translate install fr-CA
4) in the system preferences, enable the french language in
'language'
5) change interface language to french
Redo the tests above to make sure the word you put in the translation
for the basket is in the places where 'Created by' refers to a basket, that
the translation for the patron restriction is where it should be and that
the translation you put in for the purchase suggestion is in the places where
'Created by' refers to a purchase suggestion

This patch modifies opac-shelves.pl so that login is required if the
requested operation is anything but "view" and "list."
The patch also modifies a couple of "Log in to create a new list" links
so that they point to the list creation form instead of opac-user.pl.
To test, apply the patch and go to the main lists page (the list of
lists) in the OPAC while not logged in.
- Click the "Log in to create a new list" link.
- You should be taken to the "Create a new list" form.
- Also test the "New list" link shown in the toolbar when you're
viewing the contents of a list.
- When not logged in click the "Lists" menu in the page's header menu.
Clicking "Log in to create a new list" should take you to the login
form and then to the list creation form.

This patch removes the use of the jquery.cookie plugin by the basic MARC
editor for setting two interface preferences: Showing MARC tag numbers
and showing MARC documentation links.
To test, apply the patch and open the basic MARC editor.
- From the "Settings" menu, select the "Show MARC tag documentation
links" link. This should toggle the display of the "?" link next to
MARC tag descriptions.
- Reload the page to confirm that your selection has been saved.
- Perform the same test with the "Show tags" menu item.
You can also follow the changes to the cookie using the browser's
developer console. Look for cookies named 'marcdocs_***' and
'marctags_***' (where *** is the borrowernumber of the logged-in
user) and confirm that the value of each flips from "show" to "hide" and

This does a few things:
* We fetch the cn_sort from the DB and use this rather than calculating based on DefaultClassificationSource
We were already pulling based on the items source, so this should not change things
* Rather than using JS to submit the form, it submits via html
* Fix subtitle display and add barcode (it was retrieved in one query but not used)
* Add option to apply different classification scheme to the search

This makes the changes apply to both positive and negative notforloan values
The extra line generated before is removed
Some spans are added and cleaned up and labels moved to CSS to allow for easier altering where needed
Itemtypes marked notforloan remain as reference, the label can be changed via css
To test:
1 - Have a record with items in various statuses, ideally
- 3 available, with 2 in one branch, 1 in another
- 3 with itemtype not for loan, 2 in one branch, 1 in another
- 3 in a positive not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
- 3 in a negative not for loan status, 2 and 1 as above
- 1 in a different positive loan status, but with the same opac description as the negative above
2 - Search the opac to include this record, take a screenshot
3 - Apply patch
4 - Restart all and refresh
5 - Compare to screen shot
6 - Differences include:
- Positive statuses are now on separate line with opac description showing
- Unavailable (not for loan items) now include callnumber and branch in display
- Positive and negative notforloan with same description are combined where branches match
- Inspect the elements, note new spans around 'Items available for
loan/reference'
7 - Add to OPACUserCSS:
.ItemSummary .ItemBranch{
display:none;
}
.unavailable .ItemSummary .CallNumber,.unavailable .ItemSummary .LabelCallNumber{
display:none;
}

It adds Javascript equivalent of Koha::I18N's exported subroutines, and
they are used the same way.
String extraction is done only on *.js files and require gettext 0.19
(available in Debian jessie, and also in wheezy-backports)
It adds Javascript library Gettext.js for handling translation and a
Perl script po2json to transform PO file into JSON.
Gettext.js and po2json both come from Locale::Simple.
There are several tools named po2json. It's simpler to integrate this
one into Koha than to check if the good one is installed on the system.
Locale::Simple is not needed.
To avoid polluting the global namespace too much, this patch also
introduce a global JS object named Koha and add some stuff in Koha.i18n
Test plan:
1. Add a translatable string in a JS file. For example, add this:
alert(__nx("There is one item", "There are {count} items", 3,
{count: 3}));
to staff-global.js
2. cd misc/translator && ./translate update fr-FR
3. Open misc/translator/po/fr-FR-messages-js.po, verify that your
string is present, and translate it
4. cd misc/translator && ./translate install fr-FR
5. (Optional) Verify that
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/fr-FR/js/locale_data.js exists and
contains your translation
6. Open your browser on the staff main page, change language and verify
that the message is translated

This patch adds columns configuration to the holds awaiting pickup
tables. Doing so helps solve the printing issue by adding a "Print"
option to both tables. Using this print function will provide a
printable version of only that table.
To test you should have multiple holds in your system which are marked
"waiting" and some which have been waiting longer than the value
specified in the ReservesMaxPickUpDelay system preference.
Apply the patch and go to Circulation -> Holds awaiting pickup.
- On both the "Holds waiting" and "Holds waiting over..." tabs the
DataTable should display correctly and all the controls should work,
including the columns settings and the choices in the export menu.
- Confirm that the "Print" action creates a printable version of only
the table you are viewing.
- Go to Administration -> Columns settings -> Circulation.
- Change some visibility controls for the tables under the
"holds_awaiting_pickup" heading (id=holdso and id=holdst). Confirm
that these changes are reflected in the "Holds waiting" interface.

When a high enough number of forks try to access for example system

different cache requests get mixed up.
The problem is fixed by using Cache::Memcached::Fast::Safe that is a

So far the sorting on volume information is incorrect. It sorts by the
string displayed in the cell, which may not have any logics.
A better solution would be to use Kyle's suggestion, see comments 7, 8,
but it will need much more work.
This patch suggests to use the publication date to sort this column.
Note: In the code there is a switch depending on the existence of
items.publisheddate, but I do not think it is valid, this valid should
always exist if the item is received (did I miss something?)
Test plan:
You need to have different existing subscription, using different
numbering.

sort the serials (tab "Holdings") by "Serial enumeration".

At the moment only the title will display in the course reserves
details, but not the information from other title fields. For
series with multiple volumes that can lead to confusing display.
The patch makes use of the new include to display 245$abnp.
To test:

Make sure you have some with different combinations of 245$b$n$p
- Look at the course details in the OPAC

This patch modifies the OPAC search results template to check for three
populated system preferences before performing an OverDrive search:
OverDriveLibraryID, OverDriveClientKey, and OverDriveClientSecret.
Previously OverDriveLibraryID was not checked, but without it the
interface reports an error performing the search.
To test you must have credentials for the OverDrive API as defined
in OverDriveClientKey, OverDriveClientSecret, and OverDriveLibraryID
system preferences.
- With OverDriveLibraryID defined, the catalog search results page in
the OPAC should show a link to results in the library's OverDrive
collection.
- With no value in the OverDriveLibraryID preference the catalog
search page should not show any message about an OverDrive
collection.

This patch modifes the process of searching for an existing record
to add to a basket. Now the search is performed as a keyword search in
the regular catalog rather than via a custom search script. Options are
added to the search results and detail pages to add results to an order.
This process follows the same pattern as the "Search to hold" feature:
When the search is initiated, a cookie is set with the requisite
information--in this case vendor id and basket number.
If the search results or bibliographic detail pages detect that a
"searchToOrder" cookie is present, the correct "Add order" link will be
shown. Like with the "search to hold" feature, the cookie expires in 10
minutes.
To test, apply the patch and log into the staff client as a user who has
permission to add to a basket in acquisitions.
- Go to Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Basket -> Add to basket.
- Using the "From an existing record" option, perform a search.
- On the search results page, test the "Add order" link which appears
with each result. Clicking the link should take you to the "New
order" page for the correct vendor and basket. The catalog
details section of the form should include the correct information.
- From the search results page view the bibliographic details page for
any record. There should be a new toolbar button, "Add order." Verify
that it works correctly.
- Test the same thing from all bibliographic detail pages: Normal,
MARC, Labeled MARC, ISBD, as well as the items page
(moredetail.pl).
- Test this process for both the locations in acquisitions where one
can add to an existing basket: Vendor search results and the basket
detail page
- Test the cookie timeout: Wait 10 minutes and perform another catalog
search. The "Add order" link should no longer be present.

Bug 11911 replaced the permission of suggestions.pl (create a purchase
suggestion) from catalogue => 1 to acquisition => 'suggestions_manage'.
However we have a lot of acquisition scripts that have lax permissions
(acquisition => '*' which means any sub permissions of acquisition is
enough).
That causes problem when a circulation staff can create purchase
suggestions but not access acquisition information.
One solution is to move the suggestions_manage subpermission out of the
acquisition permission and create a new suggestion permission.
Test plan:
0. Setup
* Create a patron with several permission (and full acquisition
permission)
* Create another patron with several permission, and suggestions_manage
permission
* Create another patron without the suggestions_manage permission
1. Apply the patch and execute the update database entry
2. Note that the third patron you create still does not have
suggestions_manage
3. Confirm that you can create a purchase suggestion if you have
suggestions_manage, but cannot access acquisition pages if you do not
have any subpermissions of the acquisition permission

This patch moves markup for controls repeated across several OPAC
templates into a single include: Place hold, Request article, Add tag,
Save to lists, and Add to cart.
To test, apply the patch and view the following OPAC pages:
- Search results
- Shelf contents view
- User tags list
On each of these pages all the controls should work correctly:
- Place hold
- Request art
- Add tag
- Save to lists
- Add to cart

If report's columns do not only contain integers, we should not point to
batch tools.
For instance, if the value is a link, the batch tools will not work as
they will not retrieve the id (itemnnumber or biblionumber) properly
Test plan:
Create a report like:
SELECT CONCAT('<a href=\"/cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/additem.pl?op=edititem&biblionumber=', biblionumber, '&itemnumber=', itemnumber, '#edititem', '\">', itemnumber, '</a>' ) AS itemnumber

This patch modifies the OPAC suggestions interface so that patrons will
be asked for confirmation before deleting suggestions.
The patch also makes some minor markup changes to improve consistency
between this interface and others in the OPAC.
To test, apply the patch and log in to the OPAC as a user who has
submitted multiple suggestions.
- From the list of your suggestions, confirm that the "New purchase
suggestion" and "Delete" links have Font Awesome icons.
- Check the checkbox corresponding to one of your suggestions. You can
also now click the title of the suggestions to control the checkbox.
- When you check a box the "Delete" link at the top of the page should
activate.
- Clicking the delete link should trigger a confirmation modal showing
the title(s) you selected.
- The message and button labels should reflect whether one or
multiple titles are being deleted.
- Test that the confirm and cancel controls work correctly.
- Also test this process via the delete button at the bottom of the
table of suggestions.

TEST PLAN++
1) Apply all the patches
2) Connect to the intranet with an account with permissions to visit the "Tools" page
3) Go to /cgi-bin/koha/labels/label-home.pl
. Either by entering the URL directly
. OR, from the front page, by clicking "Tools", followed by the hyperlink "Label creator" under the "Catalog" section
4) Under the "+ New" button, a new option should be available: "Barcode range"
5) Fill the "From:" and the "To:" fields of the "Print barcode range" form
. Keeping both fields at "0" should trigger a warning beside the first field: "*Cannot be smaller than 1"
. If the value "From:" is greater the "To:" value, a warning should appear beside the second field: "*Cannot be smaller than the starting value"
. Make sure the form doesn't let you enter non-numerical values
. For a casual test, use "From: 1000" and "To: 1100"
6) After pressing the "Print Range" button, choose a template, a layout, and a starting position
. The "DEFAULT TEMPLATE 01" has a page height of 5pt and a page width of 0pt, don't use it
. All the default layouts should look alike, since we're only printing a barcode over a number, and not bibliographic information
. Using a layout not defined as 'Barcode' will show a warning message
7) Clicking the "Export" button should lead to a second dialog window with a "Download as PDF" hyperlink. Clicking the link should prop up a download dialog box
8) Save the PDF locally, or simply open it, and make sure the options you used were taken into account

Adds an option to the label creator to print a range of barcodes.
Only allows printing to PDF.
C4/Label.pm had to get minor changes to override database-based barcode
generation. Same with labels/label-create-pdf.pl. By default, the
barcode is fetched from the database using the itemnumber, but when

I can find no code that uses callnumber from the C4/Items sub, except for the itemrecorddisplay script
which is not called with an itemnumber from Koha and should be deprecated for REST or ILSDI or OAI (imho)

2 - Find a record with no items
3 - Ensure it has no 082 field, but an 092 field
4 - Go to add an item - itemcallnumber is empty
5 - Apply patch
6 - Go to add item, itemcallnumber should be the 092ab fields
7 - Delete the 092 field
8 - Go to add item, itemcallnumber should be the 245a
9 - Edit the callnumber to be "testing" and save item
10 - For should now show itemcallnumber="testing" as default
11 - Browse to http://localhost:8081/cgi-bin/koha/services/itemrecorddisplay.pl?itemnumber=## subbing the correct itemnumber
12 - Ensure the callnumber is defaulting to testing
13 - delete the item you created

to appear in the datatable exports.
Also fix exporting with the export as csv button at the bottom

Test plan :

current value if it exist.

or "Edit ..." if there is.

This patch adds DataTables column configuration and export options to
the suggestions management tables in the staff interface.
The columns settings made via the administrative interface will affect
tables under each tab in the interface whether it be organized by
status, library, etc. However because of the way the KohaTable function
is currently written, changes made via the "Columns" button will only
affect the visible table.
To test, apply the patch and go to Acquisitions -> Suggestions.
- Under each tab, the table of suggestions should have a DataTables
toolbar with export and columns buttons. These controls should work
correctly:
- Showing and hiding columns should work as expected
- Exports should work, excluding the first and last columns
- Test the tables when using the various "Organize by" settings.
- Test changing the settings in Administration -> Columns settings.
- Verify that the changes you make to that configuration are
reflected in the suggestions tables.
