This patch makes the batch_anonymise.pl script handle holds too. It does
so by leveraging on the newly introduced method 'filter_by_anonymizable'
and also 'anonymize'.
To test:
1. Have a patron with two past holds.
2. Make sure they are a few days back:
$ koha-mysql kohadev
> UPDATE old_reserves SET timestamp=ADDDATE(NOW(), INTERVAL -4 DAY);
3. Run:
$ kshell
k$ perl misc/cronjobs/batch_anonymise.pl --days 2 -v

Checkouts and holds before 2022-01-01 will be anonymised.
0 checkouts anonymised.

This patch adds an option to only trigger notices matching the number of
days waiting specified
You will need to define HOLD_REMINDER notices for the specific branch of the
patron and ensure the patron has hold reminder notices in their messaging preferences
TO test:
1 - Place a hold for a patron and check in to confirm
2 - Set the waiting date back a few days:
update reserves set waitingdate = DATE_SUB(CURDATE(), INTERVAL 5 DAY);
3 - Run the cron and see that patron would be notified if running for 4 days weaiting
perl misc/cronjobs/holds/holds_reminder.pl -v --days 4
4 - Apply patch
5 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds/holds_reminder.pl -v --days 4 --triggered

A Yes/No system preference must use 1 for Yes and 0 for No.
So "Send" for 1/Yes and "Don't send" for 0/No.
We add too much problems with double-negation boolean system preferences (such as dontmerge).
Previous patch changed default value to 1 in atomicupdate, do the same
in installer/data/mysql/mandatory/sysprefs.sql
Also to be consistant, sets options = NULL instead of '' in atomicupdate

I took the same test plan as victor but I added the system preference to manage the case more easily, especially for users who do not have access to the koha server.
Test plan
1. Check the size of the message queue
With the following SQL query (using an SQL report if you want)
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM message_queue;
2. Run misc/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl
3. Check the size of the message queue
To ensure that no other overdues will create noise in this test plan.
Or you can take them into account.
4. Choose a patron with no email address
5. Create an overdue (checkout an item and unfold "Checkout settings"
and set a date in the past which is compatible with what you find in
staff:/cgi-bin/koha/tools/overduerules.pl
6. Run misc/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl
7. Check that you have two new messages in the queue
8. Inspect these two messages
SELECT * FROM message_queue ORDER BY time_queued DESC LIMIT 2 \G
1. One has the type "print" and the borrowernumber matching the patron.
2. The other has
subject: Overdue Notices
borrowernumber: NULL
message_transport_type: email
and contains "These messages were not sent directly to the patrons."
This is the one we don't want anymore.
Because it's now obsolete due to the first message.
9. Apply this patch
10. Run updatedabatase.pl
11. Change syspref 'EmailOverduesNoEmail' to "Don't send"
12. Delete data from message_queue (if you have access) for a cleaner view
13. Run again misc/cronjobs/overdue_notices.pl
14. Check that only the print message is now generated and not the
"Overdue Notices" one.

It would be useful to send most of the process_message_queue.pl script parameters to any plugin before_send_messages hooks. For example, the Twilio Voice plugin uses before_send_messages to send phone messages, but if the script is called with "-t email", it doesn't know and will make phone calls! If that info were passed in, the plugin could be made aware of it and only make calls if no "-t" or a "-t phone" were set in the parameters.

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.
This patch is a squashed version of:
Bug 17600: After export.pl
Bug 17600: After perlimport
Bug 17600: Manual changes
Bug 17600: Other manual changes after second perlimports run
Bug 17600: Fix tests
And a lot of other manual changes.
export.pl is a dirty script that can be found on bug 17600.
"perlimport" is:
git clone https://github.com/oalders/App-perlimports.git
cd App-perlimports/
cpanm --installdeps .
export PERL5LIB="$PERL5LIB:/kohadevbox/koha/App-perlimports/lib"
find . \( -name "*.pl" -o -name "*.pm" \) -exec perl App-perlimports/script/perlimports --inplace-edit --no-preserve-unused --filename {} \;
The ideas of this patch are to:
* use EXPORT_OK instead of EXPORT
* perltidy the EXPORT_OK list
* remove '&' before the subroutine names
* remove some uneeded use statements
* explicitely import the subroutines we need within the controllers or
modules
Note that the private subroutines (starting with _) should not be
exported (and not used from outside of the module except from tests).
EXPORT vs EXPORT_OK (from
https://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/06/perl-exporter-examples/)
"""
Export allows to export the functions and variables of modules to user’s namespace using the standard import method. This way, we don’t need to create the objects for the modules to access it’s members.
@EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK are the two main variables used during export operation.
@EXPORT contains list of symbols (subroutines and variables) of the module to be exported into the caller namespace.
@EXPORT_OK does export of symbols on demand basis.
"""
If this patch caused a conflict with a patch you wrote prior to its
push:
* Make sure you are not reintroducing a "use" statement that has been
removed
* "$subroutine" is not exported by the C4::$MODULE module
means that you need to add the subroutine to the @EXPORT_OK list
* Bareword "$subroutine" not allowed while "strict subs"
means that you didn't imported the subroutine from the module:
- use $MODULE qw( $subroutine list );
You can also use the fully qualified namespace: C4::$MODULE::$subroutine

This patch replaces a few more trivial cases where we were using
library->branchemail with a fallback to KohaAdminEmail to just use the
new library->from_email_address method directly instead.
There were also a couple of cases where we were passing borrowernumber
and the patrons library from address too.. this is unneccesary as the
code in _send_email_massage will already default to patron library from
address if we do not pass an override.

There is no fallback to the "default" language if there is no
language-specific template for the lang of the patron.
I am not really sure why we are not using GetPreparredLetter here (which
defaults), but this needs to be backported into all stable branches and
so as small as possible.

itiva has reported to us that quotes in the title of a record cause the
call to not be made to the patron. The fix is to remove quotes from
the title, as quotes are not spoken anyway ( That is, "Queens" and
"Queen's" are pronounced the same ).
Test Plan:
1) Set up itiva to send phone notes
2) Find a record with quotes in the title
3) Trigger an itiva notice ( checkout, checkin, place hold, etc )
using the itiva outbound cronjob
4) View the CSV, note the title has the quotes in it
5) Apply this patch
6) Repeat steps 2-3
7) View the CSV, note the title contains no quotes!

The job reports errors when deleting items.
The issue seems to be that Koha::Object->delete claims in the POD to
return -1, 0, or 1 as a result, but it in fact returns the Object
itself on a successful deletion
The errors are reported as:
ERROR DELETING ITEM 501740: Koha::Item=HASH(0x55ce407a1a78)
To recreate:
1 - Find or create a record with some items
2 - Ensure those items can be deleted (not on loan, etc.)
3 - Edit the record leader and set position 5 to 'd'
4 - perl misc/cronjobs/delete_records_via_leader.pl -i -v --confirm
5 - Deletion succeeds, but reports failure on items
6 - Apply patch
7 - Find or create a new record as above, but this time add an
additional item and check it out to a patron
8 - perl misc/cronjobs/delete_records_via_leader.pl -i -v
9 - Test mode should report 1 item to be deleted, one with error
10 - perl misc/cronjobs/delete_records_via_leader.pl -i -v --confirm
11 - One item should be deleted, one item not, record not deleted

automatically check in.
To test:
1. apply patches

There are two ways of configuring misc/cronjobs/longoverdue.pl :
use --lost arg or system preferencies DefaultLongOverdueLostValue and DefaultLongOverdueDays.
Actually if you don't use any of it, you get a message :
"ERROR: No --lost (-l) option defined"
Should also say something about preferencies :
"ERROR: No --lost (-l) option no system preferences DefaultLongOverdueLostValue/DefaultLongOverdueDays defined"

This patch adds a script for sending holds reminder notice to patrons.
We add a 'send_notice' routine to Koha::Patrons - this will either send using the patron's
email prefs, or allow forcing of a single method via the cron
To test:
1 - Create an email hold reminder notice for a single library (Koha module: Holds, code HOLDREMINDER, branch: CPL)
2 - Set some waiting holds today for patrons at CPL, ensure those patrons have 'email' as the transport for hold filled notices
3 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -li CPL
4 - You should see the patrons here would have received emails
5 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -li CPL
6 - You should see the emails that were sent
7 - Check the patron notices tab to confirm
8 - Note a ptron with two holds waiting receives only one notice
9 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -li CPL -days 3
10 - No notices are sent
11 - Adjust the waiting date for the holds:
UPDATE reserves SET waitingdate=DATE_SUB(CURDATE(), INTERVAL 3 DAY) WHERE waitingdate = CURDATE();
12 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -li CPL -days 3
13 - Confirm the holds are now reminded
14 - Set yesterday as a holiday for CPL
15 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -li CPL -holidays -days 3
16 - Notices should not be sent
17 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -li CPL -holidays -days 2
18 - Notices should be sent again
19 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -holidays -days 2
20 - Should get feedback that notice was not found for other libraries
21 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -holidays -days 2 -mtt sms
22 - Notice is not found
23 - Add the notice for sms
24 - perl misc/cronjobs/holds_reminder.pl -v -lettercode HOLDREMINDER -n -holidays -days 2 -mtt sms
25 - The notice should be sent
26 - Check patrons messaging tab to confirm

This patch adds a new misc/cronjobs/writeoff_debts.pl script to allow the bulk
waiver of debts from the system. The script accepts some filter parameters,
including the option to pass a line delimited file of accountline_ids, and will
apply a WRITEOFF account against them for the amount of the outstanding debt.
Examples:
./writeoff_debts.pl --added_before $(date -d '-18 month' --iso-8601) --confirm
./writeoff_debts.pl --type COPY --verbose --confirm
./writeoff_debts.pl --file path/to/file --verbose
Test plan
1/ Add some debts to the system for various users.
2/ Output a line delimited report for accountlines for those debts.
3/ Run the script with the --file parameter and confirm those debts were
written off.
4/ Repeat steps 1-3 above but add in a step to partially pay some debts
prior to running the script.
5/ Repeat steps 1-3 above but pay of some of the debts prior to running
the script.
6/ Repeat steps 1-2 above, but instead of passing --file use a
combination of the other parameters to limit your list of debts to
writeoff.

Bug 27180 added a patch to not update fines on holidays if finesCalendar was set to ignore.

It seems that we need to add a new pref to control the calculation of
fines on closed days to answer the different use cases.

This patch enhances auto_renewals message, removes auto_renewals messaging preference when AutoRenewalNotices is not set to ‘preferences’ and uses that preference to send notices in automatic_renewals.pl script.
To test:
1. Apply patches
2. updatedatabase
3. make sure automatic renewals are allowed in circ rules, have a positive number of allowed renewals and a positive number for renewal period
4. Check AutoRenewalNotices preference
SUCCESS => AutoRenewalNotices has the value ‘cron’ (means that It keeps the usual behaviour)
5. Checkout two items for a patron, and set them as automatic renewal and set due date as your current yesterday
6. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -v
SUCCESS => items were renewed, but there is no message in message_queue table in mysql
7. Repeat step 5
8. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -s -v
SUCCESS => items were renewed, and there is one message per item in message_queue table in mysql

10. Repeat step 5
11. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -s -v
SUCCESS => items were renewed, but there is no message in message_queue table in mysql, even with the -s switch
12. Check any patron’s category, and any detail page in staff or OPAC interface, and in any of them you should find Auto Renewals messaging preference
13. Change AutoRenewalNotices to ‘preferences’
14. Repeat step 12, but this time all of them shows the Auto Renewals messaging preference.
15. Repeat step 5 with a patron that has no messaging preference setted
16. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -s -v
SUCCESS => items were renewed, but there is no message in message_queue table in mysql, because patron didn’t choose to receive messages
17. Grab a category and modify auto renewals messaging preferences, and save
18. Create a new patron from that category.
SUCCESS => created patron has the same messaging preference for auto renewals
19. Grab that patron and change auto renewals messaging preference to email but not digest
20. Repeat step 5 for that last patron.
21. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -v
SUCCESS => Items were renewed, and there is a message for each item in message_queue table in mysql.
22. Change auto renewals messaging preference from the same patron and set to email and digest.
23. Repeat step 5.
24. perl misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl -c -v

This patch removes code that prevents fines from being update on holidays.
The fines are already being calculated, and that takes the calendar into account if
needed, so fines won't be assessed on holidays if they shouldn't.
To test:
1 - set finesCalendar to 'ignore'
2 - Checkout an item due yesterday
3 - Ensure circ rules have a fine amount set
4 - Make today a holiday
5 - run fines.pl
6 - No fine assessed
7 - Apply patch
8 - run fines.pl
9 - Fine assessed!
10 - set finesCalendar to 'use'

The provided patch adds the following functionality:
* Add --owning to both advance_notice.pl and overdue_notice.pl
* Add --library to advance_notice.pl like the way overdue_notice.pl already works
When specifying "--owning" both scripts will use items.homebranch instead of
issues.branchcode to determine sending library.
For advance_notice.pl this affects non-digest DUE and PREDUE, but not digest notices.
To test:
1. Have a patron who wants advance notices as email with 2 days in advance (not digest)
2. Have the first overdue date set 3 days past due date
3. Have issue for that patron where date_due is 2 days away where the item homebranch differs from the issuing branch
4. Have issue for that patron where date_due is 3 days old
5. Run advance_notices.pl without --owning
6. Run overdue_notices.pl without --owning
7. Confirm that two messages were created for that patron with the sender being the issuing branch
8. Delete messages or create two more issues according to (3) and (4)
9. Run advance_notices.pl with --owning
10. Run overdue_notices.pl with --owning
11. Confirm that the two messages created has the item homebranch as sender
Extra feature for advance_notices.pl is that it adds "--library" the same way overdue_notices.pl has.
Adding variants of that flag in steps (5) and (9) above can confirm this option as well.

From its inception, phone notices via Talking Tech have not behaved like
other notices. Instead of reading notices generated by Koha, the Talking
Tech scripts largely generate their own notices.
We would like to pave the way to having "generic" phone notices that can
be processed by plugins to support arbitrary telephony vendors ( we will
be targeting Twilio initially ).
To that end, it seems sensible to begin by changing the messaage
transport type for Talking Tech from 'phone' to 'itiva' to
highlight its specificity and difference from standard message
transports.

Bug 19014 altered CanBookBeRenewed to return (auto_)too_soon over on_reserve

When lost items are not marked as returned, they are still subject to
the long overdue cron, so an item that has already been marked Lost may
automatically roll to Long Overdue. In some cases, a library may not
want that lost value to change. This becomes especially important with
the introduction of Claims Returned, which uses a variety of lost.
Test Plan:

How handy this will be, right?
This patch will change the behavior of this script as the --confirm flag

This patch adds a .perlcriticrc (copied from qa-test-tools) and fixes
almost all perlcrictic violations according to this .perlcriticrc
The remaining violations are silenced out by appending a '## no critic'
to the offending lines. They can still be seen by using the --force
option of perlcritic
This patch also modify t/00-testcritic.t to check all Perl files using
the new .perlcriticrc.

This patch introduces locking in fines.pl. It does so by leveraging on
bug 25109, which introduces a generic locking implementation on
Koha::Script.
The introduced changes:
1. Try to get the lock
2.a. If success, normal execution happens
2.b. If rejected, cronlogaction is called with a meaningful message and
a normal exit happens, so we don't flood the logs in vain. --verbose
will make the script print the same message on STDERR, as already is
the case with this script
To test:
1. Apply this patch

$ kshell
k$ perl misc/cronjobs/fines.pl --verbose

the accountlines table. Not sure why this would happen, but it appears
to be what causes the problem.
Do not apply the first patch if testing this patch.
To test:
1) sudo koha-mysql INSTANCENAME
2) Create a test borrower, add any payment etc to create an accountline,
then delete this borrower
3) ensure the AccountAutoReconcile syspref is disabled
4) Go to another borrower's accounting tab
5) Create a manual credit or debit. Confirm this shows in the 'Make a
payment' tab as an amount that COULD be applied, but isn't automatically
applied
6) in your terminal, run the reconcile_balances.pl script
7) Confirm the error does not show in the logs and the balance for
the borrower is correctly reconciled.

We should use Koha::DateUtils instead of Date::Time directly
This patch simplay replaces calls to now() with a call to dt_from_string()
which does effectively the same thing.
Probably reading the code and verifying changes is sufficient but...

Adds the ability to specify a file with the --file flag that

If used without other flags it will delete the list of borrowers,
if used with other flags it will treat the other criteria
as filters for the list.

misc/cronjobs/update_totalissues.pl when issuing statistics table, no-incremental, has a problem for biblio with multiple items.
The first SQL query gets the biblios linked to items with issues in statistics :
SELECT
biblio.biblionumber, COUNT(statistics.itemnumber)
FROM
biblio
LEFT JOIN
items
ON
(biblio.biblionumber=items.biblionumber)
LEFT JOIN
statistics
ON
(items.itemnumber=statistics.itemnumber)
WHERE
statistics.type = 'issue'
$limit
GROUP BY
biblio.biblionumber
The second SQL query is :
SELECT
biblio.biblionumber, 0
FROM
biblio
LEFT JOIN
items
ON
(biblio.biblionumber=items.biblionumber)
LEFT JOIN
statistics
ON
(items.itemnumber=statistics.itemnumber)
WHERE
statistics.itemnumber IS NULL
GROUP BY
biblio.biblionumber
The problem is that this second query will set to 0 where ANY item has no entry in statistics table.
So when running it sets 0 to the biblio that had a value from first
query.
I think the best fix is to use "WHERE statistics.type = 'issue'" inside que JOIN :
LEFT JOIN statistics ON (items.itemnumber=statistics.itemnumber AND statistics.type = 'issue')
Test plan :
1) Begin with an empty database
2) Create a biblio 1 with no items
3) Create a biblio 2 with 3 items
4) Create a biblio 3 with 2 items
5) Checkout and checkin all items of biblio 2
6) Checkout and checkin the firt item of biblio 3
7) run misc/cronjobs/update_totalissues.pl --use-stats -v
8) Check biblio 1 has biblioitems.totalissues = 0
9) Check biblio 2 has biblioitems.totalissues = 3
10) Without patch the biblio 3 has biblioitems.totalissues = 0
11) With patch the biblio 3 has biblioitems.totalissues = 1
12) Check misc/cronjobs/update_totalissues.pl --incremental is OK

There are two typos in advance_notics.pl that cause DUEDGST messages
not to be sent. See Bugzilla for full details.
If you think the typo is sufficiently obvious, you can just eyeball the
patch and sign off, methinks. Otherwise, testing can be done something
like this:
- Make sure you have enabled enhanced messaging preferences, and a
patron with "Email" and "Digests only" set for "Item due" messages
- Issue an item to this patron, with due date today
- Run something like this to generate advance notices:
$ sudo koha-shell -c "perl \
/home/vagrant/kohaclone/misc/cronjobs/advance_notices.pl -n -c" kohadev
- See that no notices are shown (-n means messages will go to stdout,
instead of into the message queue).
- Apply the patch and run advance_notices.pl again, as before. A DUEDGST
message should now be displayed.

We require next_open_day & prev_open_day to be more flexible. We could
create a separate sub, but that's not very DRY given that they'll do
pretty much the same thing.
So next_open_day becomes next_open_days and prev_open_day becomes
prev_open_days and both functions accept an additional parameter which
determines how many days they add or subtract.
All calls of these two functions have been modified accordingly.

The parameter <<>> does not work. There should be text inside.
The construction .*? does not look good completely.
Replacing it by the stricter [^>]+ So, no greater than's and at least one.

perl misc/cronjobs/runreport.pl 1
4 - Confirm results as expected
5 - Write a report that takes one or more variables
6 - Run using runreport.pl, but pass no params
