If the user unchecks the skip checkbox (on by default), we must
make sure that order cancellation is done in background job.
Test plan:
Pick two biblios. One has linked open orders, the other not.
Go to batch delete records. Select 'Enter list of numbers'.
Enter both biblio numbers and check that only one is used on the
follow-up form.
Run the deletion without the skip open orders and verify
that linked order line is cancelled.

This patch makes a number of changes to finish incomplete work in
668cd06e1960a3878ec1c976ce7f2e1f93688468
Initial submissions to batch biblio operations have to accommodate
POSTed file data, so this patch makes changes to instances where we were
submitting biblionumbers in a URL.
We could also choose to make a change in tools/batch_delete_records.pl
and tools/batch_record_modification.pl to handle different "list"
operations differently based on the method of submission. This patch
presents only the client-side option.
The cart presented a unique problem in that it requires that data be
passed from the pop-up window to the parent window, something which
can't as easily be done with a form as with a URL. The workaround I came
up with is to dynamically generate the form in the parent page and
trigger the submission from there.
Also changed:
- More updated CSS to handle buttons inside dropdowns inside toolbars.
- Correct op names for the "list" operation in batch modify and delete

This patch tackles a very specific scenario. Calling split(...,
CGI::param) makes it be called in list context. The split docs say:
split /PATTERN/,EXPR,LIMIT
this means the first CGI param will be used as EXPR and the second one
as LIMIT, which is wrong anyway. So the fix is to just force scalar
context.
To test:
1. Not sure, just make sure nothing breaks when using the scripts in the
browser.

Add a column "Subscriptions" to the batch deletion tools
Add a link on the number of subscription to the search page with all the subscriptions of the record
Add a button in the toolbar to select only biblio record without subscriptions
The changes are only on display
It is still possible to delete records that are attached to subscriptions from this tool (as it is possible for records with attached items)
To test:
1) Go to the batch record deletion (in tools)
2) Select a list of record numbers (select some with one or more subscription)
3) Click on Continue
4) Check that there is no column named "Subscription" and that there is no button "Select without subscription" in the toolbar
5) Apply patch
6) Repeat steps 1 to 3
7a) Check that there is a column named "Subscription" fill with the number of subscriptions attached to the record
7b) Check that the link in the subscriptions column send you to the search page with the subscriptions linked to this record
7c) Check that there is a button "Select without subscription" in the toolbar that selects record with no subscription attached

Bug 12759 added the ability to pass list contents to batch record
modification/deletion tools.
Patch Bug 22417 [Restore the 'add to list' feature] removed the fetch
of lists in batch_record_modification.pl I don't understand why.
It still exists in batch_delete_records.pl.
Note that this is needed when first form is displayed.
Test plan :
1) Create a private and a public list of records
2) Open Tools > Batch record modification
3) Check you can use the lists
4) Open Tools > Batch record deletion
5) Check you can use the lists

On bug 17591 we discovered that there was something weird going on with
the way we export and use subroutines/modules.
This patch tries to standardize our EXPORT to use EXPORT_OK only.
That way we will need to explicitely define the subroutine we want to
use from a module.

To test:
1) Create a list, add a record to it by its barcode that you don't mind
deleting
2) Go to Tools -> Batch record modification
3) Select the record type 'Authorities'. Confirm the dropdown to select
a list disappears. Confirm selecting 'Biblios' makes the dropdown show
again.
4) Select the list from the dropdown, select a modification template,
Continue
5) Confirm all of the records in that list show on the page. Click
Modify selected records. Confirm this is successful.
6) Go to Batch record deletion
7) Select the record type 'Authorities'. Confirm the dropdown to select
a list disappears. Confirm selecting 'Biblios' makes the dropdown
show again.
8) Select the list from the dropdown and click Continue
9) Confirm all of the records in that list show on the page. Click
Delete selected records. Confirm this is successful.
10) Go back to your lists. The list should still exist but it will now be
empty.

After the introduction of Koha::Authorities->get_usage_count with bug
9988, we can now replace the remaining occurrences of CountUsage.
At the same time we remove CountUsageChildren. This was an empty sub.
The typo get_count_usage in a subtest title is adjusted.
Test plan:
[1] Run t/db_dependent/Koha/Authorities.t
[2] Perform a search on authorities-home.pl and verify that you see
plausible numbers for 'used in xx records'.
[3] Click on Details for one authority. See the same number?
[4] Do the same as in 2/3 for Authority search on OPAC.
[5] Remember the authid and enter this in the record numbers box on
tools/batch_delete_records.pl. Select Authorities and click
Continue. The next form shows a column "Used in". Do you see
the same count again?
[6] Git grep CountUsage.
You should see just one hit in a comment that can be kept in
Koha/Authorities.pm.

We will need a few additional parameters for merge later on. This patch
puts the original parameters in a parameter hash.
For the same reason DelAuthority gets a parameter hash here.
Note: We remove the second parameter from the DelAuthority call in
authorities/authorities-home.pl here. It was not used and could have
presented problems in the future.

Hie, Tools > Batch record deletion seems broken.
Any deletion returns error :
Bibliographic record YYY was not deleted. An error occurred. (The error was: {UNKNOWN}: DBD::mysql::db begin_work failed: Already in a transaction at /usr/share/perl5/DBIx/Class/Storage/DBI.pm line 1560. at /home/koha/src/C4/Biblio.pm line 3468 , see the Koha log file for more information).
Looks like it is because of Bug 18242 which added a transaction in C4::Biblio::_koha_delete_biblio_metadata : $schema->txn_do.
The script batch_delete_records created a transaction with $dbh->{AutoCommit} = 0;
This patch fixes by using also Koha::Schema in batch_delete_records to manage transaction.
It also removes "$dbh->{RaiseError} = 1", this behavior is managed in Koha::Database.
Test plan :
- Go to Staff interface : Tools > Batch record deletion
- Enter a few existing biblionumbers
- Click on "Continue"
- Click on "Delete selected records"
=> Without patch you get a DB error
=> With patch you get confirmation message
- Try to get the biblios to confirm they are deleted : /cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumber=xxx
- Test with and without Plack

The C4::Reserve::GetReservesFromBiblionumber took 3 parameters, the
biblionumber, an optional itemnumber and a "all_dates" flag.
If set, the subroutine returned all the holds placed on a given bibliographic
record, even the ones placed in the future. Almost all of the calls had this
flag set, they will be replaced with a call to Koha::Biblio->holds.
But 5 did not have it:
- C4::Biblio::DelBiblio
-tools/batch_delete_records.pl
=> These 2 were wrong, we want to retrieve the holds to cancel them
before deleting the record. We need to get all the holds, even the ones
placed in the future /!\ CHANGE IN THE BEHAVIOR
- acqui/parcel.pl
=> 1 call per item were made to this subroutine. They have been replaced
with only 1 call to the new method Koha::Biblios->holds_placed_before_today
Then we filter on the itemnumbers.
I think this is wrong: we need the number of holds to know if the record
can be deleted, so even if future holds exist, the deletion should not
be possible.

=> Seems ok, we just one to display holds placed before today
Test plan:
I would suggest to test this patch with patches from bug 17737 and bug 17738,
to place different kind of holds (biblio and item level, future and
past).
Then do a whole workflow to detect bug, view a record, delete record,
order, place a hold on an item which has been ordered, etc.
The hold's informations should always be the same without or without
these patches.

Script tools/batch_delete_records.pl only checks the return value of
DelAuthority. The return value depends on DBI rows, which is not always
reliable. It may return -1 when it 'does not know'.
Testing $@ in tools/batch_delete_records.pl should actually be enough.
The return value was discarded in C4/ImportBatch.pm. Removing an unused
variable.
Test plan:
[1] Pick an authority record with a few linked biblios.
Delete this authority record via tools/batch_delete_records.pl.
Check if the linked biblio records are cleaned up.
[2] Bonus: Make a typo in the SQL statement of DelAuthority. Check
if batch_delete_records shows you the error message.

When using the batch deletion tool, if the script attempts to delete an
undeletable item, the script will die with the error:
Label not found for "next BIBLIONUMBER" at
/usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/tools/batch_delete_records.pl line 172.
Test Plan:
1) Attempt to batch delete a record with an item that cannot be deleted
2) Note error
3) Apply this patch
4) Repeat step 1
5) Note the error no longer occurs

This follow-up makes several changes to language and markup with one
change in behavior:
- Updated permission description to avoid the use of the term "biblio"
- Updated batch delete template to avoid the use of the term
"biblio" and to improve clarity.
- Replaced instances of terms "issue" and "reserve" with "checkout" and
"hold" respectively.
- On bibliographic record batch delete, wrap biblionumber in <label>.
- On bibliographic record batch delete, show subtitle via Keywords to
MARC mapping.
- On bibliographic record batch delete, respect BiblioDefaultView system
preference.
- In the staff client cart, move batch delete link from "Action" menu
to text link below (alongside "add to list" and "place hold"). The
buttons are actions which affect the whole Cart. The links are actions
which can be applied to selected items. I think this change makes it
more consistent with the kind of operation being performed.
To test:
- Submit a batch of bibliographic records and confirm that the
list of titles shows subtitle data as defined in Keywords to MARC
mapping. Confirm also that the title links respect your
BiblioDefaultView system preference.
- Perform a catalog search, select several titles, and add them to the
Cart. Open the Cart and test the "Batch delete" link with and without
titles selected. Test as a user who lacks batch biblio delete
permission and confirm that the link does not appear.

I love the rewording, we always translated 'biblio' as 'bibliographic record',
it makes a lot of sense.
Tested using direct input of biblionumber or cart, subtitle display shows
correctly, link respect preference, user without permission cant acces the

This patch offers a new tool for deleting records.
Biblios and authorities will can to be deleted with a simple list of
biblionumber or authid.
This feature adds:
- a new pl/tt files tools/batch_delete_records
- a new permission: tools > records_batchdel
Test plan for biblios:
1/ There are two ways to generate a list of biblionumbers:
- using the basket: do a search, add some biblio to your basket, open
the basket and click on the "Action" button > "Delete"
- generating a list from a report
2/ On the "Batch record deletion" tool verify:
- biblios with issues cannot be deleted (checkbox disabled and line in
red).
- information is correct.
- sort functions work on each columns.
- the items, reserves and issues values are correct.
