Some libraries would like to prevent patrons from placing holds on
items where there are other items available for the patron to
check out.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Browse to the circulation rules
3) Note the new option for "On shelf holds allowed"
4) Set the rule to "If all unavailable", set "item level holds" to allow
5) Find a patron/branch/itemtype applicable to this rule
6) Ensure at least one item on the record is available for the
patron to check out
7) Attempt to place a hold for the item
8) Note you cannot place the hold
9) Check the available item out to another patron
10) Note you can now place a hold for the first patron

Some libraries would like to be able to limit hold filling to items that
match the pickup library for a hold based on the item's home or holding
library. The patron's home library should not affect whether a patron
can place the hold, instead the hold will only be fillable when an item
matching the pickup location becomes available.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Note the new "Hold pickup library match" rules for "checkout, hold,
and return policy" and for "holds policy by item type"
4) Set the policy to "item's holding library"
5) Place a hold where the item's holding branch does not match
the pickup branch
6) Check in the item
7) Note it is not trapped for the hold
8) Update the item's holding branch to match the pickup branch
8) Check in the item
9) Note the item is trapped for the hold
10) Repeat steps 4-9 but for home branch instead

This patch enables Bootstrap to generate a tooltip for the fund deletion
menu item when a fund cannot be deleted because it has children.
Also changed: Enable translation of the associated error message.
To test you must have at least one fund which has a child fund. Apply
the patch and go to Administration -> Funds.
- In the list of funds, find a fund which has children.
- Click the "Actions" menu. The "Delete" item should be disabled.
- Hovering over the "Delete" item should display a Bootstrap-style
tooltip with the explanation "This fund has children."
- Clicking the "Delete" item should trigger an alert, "This fund has
children. It cannot be deleted."
- Clicking "Delete" on funds without children should work correctly.
NOTE: Before tooltip shows in Chrome, but not bootstrap styling.
After, bootstrap styled.
The use of _() will add the ability to translate the alert().

There are some issues with the template changes introduced by the EDI
feature in Bug 7736. This patch makes the following changes:
- Use Font Awesome icon on the Acquisitions basket page instead of a
Glyphicon.
- Use Font Awesome icon on the Acquisitions basket group page instead of
a Glyphicon.
- For consistency's sake, use the phrase "Library EANs" instead of "EDI
EANs" in menus and the Library EANs page.
- On the EDI accounts page:
- Correct the markup of the title tag.
- Improve the breadcrumbs to eliminate redundancy.
- Use Font Awesome icon instead of Glyphicon for the "New account"
button.
- Change or remove "maxlength" attribute of form fields to match table
structure.
- Move the contents of some title attributes into a visible hint.
- Use 'checked="checked"' instead of 'checked'. Koha templates use
XTHML-style attributes.
- Correct template variable in account deletion confirmation dialog.
Before this patch the vendor name was not correctly displayed.
- Show a message if there are no accounts defined rather than an empty
table.
- Remove use of "highlight" class from table rows (Bug 15927).
- Correct parameter name in link to vendor details page (should be
booksellerid instead of supplierid).
- Correct the markup of the deletion confirmation dialog (Bug 15785).
- Use Bootstrap-style buttons for "edit" and "delete," with Font
Awesome icons.
- On the Library EANs page:
- Correct the markup of the title tag.
- Make capitalization of "EAN" consistent.
- Use Font Awesome icon instead of Glyphicon for the "New EAN" button.
- Show a message if there are no EANs defined rather than an empty
table.
- Change or remove "maxlength" attribute of form fields to match table
structure.
- Remove use of "highlight" class from table rows (Bug 15927).
- Correct the markup of the deletion confirmation dialog (Bug 15785).
- Use Bootstrap-style buttons for "edit" and "delete," with Font
Awesome icons.

Koha's EDIFACT module works great for many European vendors,
but does not work will for US vendors, which have a much different
interpretation of 'standard'. In fact, each vendor may require
different arrangements of values in EDIFACT messages. It would be
impossible to encompass all these requirements within Koha's EDIFACT
module itself. Instead, we should allow the module to be pluggable, so
versions of the module can be developed for vendors that require EDIFACT
messages that don't conform to the standard set by Koha's EDIFACT
module.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase

Add support for processing incoming Edifact Quotes, Invoices
and order responses and generating and transmission of
Edifact Orders.
Basic workflow is that an incoming quote generates an aquisition
basket in Koha, with each line corresponding to an order record
The user can then generate an edifact order from this (or another)
basket, which is transferred to the vendor's site
The supplier generates an invoice on despatch and this will
result in corresponding invoices being generated in Koha
The orderlines on the invoice are receipted automatically.
We also support order response messages. This may include
simple order acknowledgements, supplier reports/amendments
on availability. Cancellation messages cause the koha order
to be cancelled, other messages are recorded against the order
Which messages are to be supported/processed is specifiable on a
vendor by vendor basis via the admin screens
You can also specify auto order i.e. to generate orders from quotes
without user intervention - This reflects existing
workflows where most work is done on the suppliers website
then generating a dummy quote
Received messages are stored in the edifact_messages table
and the original can be viewed via the online

The JavaScript embedded in the MARC framework template is not

When creating a new subfield for an authority framework, the checkboxes
don't behave as they should.
If you click on the 'repeatable', 'mandatory' or 'is url' checkbox's
label, the checkbox from the second tab will be checked/unchecked.
This is caused by a non-unique id of the input element.
I have found this bug when working on the removal of CGI::checkbox in
both admin/auth_subfields_structure.pl and
admin/marc_subfields_structure.pl scripts.
This patch remove the use of CGI::checkbox as well as the generation of

The item types localization page uses a Glyphicon. This patch converts
it to a Font Awesome icon.
Also changed in this patch: "Delete" text has been added to the delete

has been edited to ignore the default click action.

There are links on the OAI sets administration page which can use Font
Awesome icons instead of being styled with background images. This patch
makes that change.
Another minor change: Added the "fa-fw" class to items in the "Actions"
menu which didn't have it. This helps the items line up correctly:
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/examples/#fixed-width
To test, apply the patches for Bugs 16014 and 15991 if necessary. Apply

This patch changes the behavior of the audio alerts management page so
that sections of the page are shown or hidden based on what the current
task is. Other changes include:
- Moving JavaScript to a separate file
- Adding a toolbar with a "New alert" button.
- Enabling or disabling the "play sound" button based on the value of
the sound file field.
- Enabling or disabling the "delete" button based on whether there are
checkboxes checked.
- Switching the patron category administration header search form for
the "generic" catalog search one.
- Adding "Required" classes to required fields so that the staff
client's built-in JS validation library can be used.
- Styling the add/edit form in a way which is consistent with other
interfaces in Koha.
- Removing the invalid "border" attribute from images.
- Adding better alt attributes to images.
To test, the AudioAlerts system preference must be enabled. Apply the
patch and go to Administration -> Audio alerts.
- Confirm that the add/edit form is hidden initially. A toolbar with a
"New" button should appear with existing audio alerts in a table
below.
- Confirm that the "New alert" button works:
- The table should be hidden and an empty "add" form displayed.
- Confirm that an empty form cannot be submitted.
- Confirm that typing or selecting a sound enables the "Play sound"
button and that it works to play the sound.
- Confirm that adding valid data works.
- Confirm that clicking the "Cancel" button hides the form and
redisplays the table.
- Test the "edit" button for an existing sound:
- Confirm that the edit form is displayed and populated with the
correct data.
- Confirm that edits are saved correctly.
- When viewing the table of existing alerts, confirm that checking one
of the checkboxes "enables" the delete button.
- With one or more checkboxes checked, test that clicking the delete
button triggers a deletion confirmation. Test both confirm and cancel
operations.
- With no checkboxes checked, test that clicking the delete button
triggers an alert that checkboxes must be checked.

This patch allows for more flexibility for determining when the number
of holds a record has should trigger the reduction of the loan length
for items on that record.
This patch adds a new system preference decreaseLoanHighHoldsControl,
which defaults to 'static', the original behavior of the feature.
It also has a new behavior 'dynamic' which makes the feature only
decrease the loan length if the number of holds on the record exceeds
the number of holdable items + decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue.
It also allows items to be filtered from the list of items based
on the damaged, lost, not for loan, and withdrawn values even if
those values would have allowed holds ( i.e. values < 0 )
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set decreaseLoanHighHolds to Enable
4) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsControl to "over the number of items on the record"
5) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsDuration to 1
6) Set decreaseLoanHighHoldsValue to 3
7) Create a record with 5 items
8) Please 8 or more holds on the record

The holds queue is typically generated many times a day in order to
select items to fill holds. Often these items are to be sent to a
different library. However, if the library whose item is picked to fill

This patch adds some JavaScript to the item search fields management
page so that the add form is not displayed by default. This simplifies
the interface and makes it more consistent with other similar
interfaces.
Also changed in this patch:
- Changing instances of "Items search fields" to "Item search fields."
- Correct form structure to use ordered list
- Add "required" classes and enable built-in JS form validation.
- Add explicitly labeled "Choose" options to <select>s.
- Add missing ids to form fields (labels don't work without them).
- Correct classes of message and alert dialogs.
- Add JS confirmation of deletions.
- Convert MARC tag and subfield dropdowns to regular inputs (Bug 15384).
To test, apply the patch and go to Administration.

Added new systempreference OpacMaintenanceNotice.
When OpacMaintenance is ON the HTML contents of OpacMaintenanceNotice will
be displayed.
Enabling OpacMaintenance is all that is required to enable this preference.
If OpacMaintenanceNotice is undefined, the default (original) notice will
appear when OpacMaintenance is enabled.
To test:
- Enable OpacMaintenance systempreference
- Observe the default maintenance message when OPAC is viewed
- Edit OpacMaintenanceNotice systempreference, adding custom HTML
- Observe the custom HTML appear on the opac
- Remove OpacMaintenanceNotice (mindful of orphaned spaces etc.)
- Observe the default opac notice appears in the opac
- Disable OpacMaintenance
- Observce opac is back online

The singleBranchMode system preference does not make sense.
Either the install has only 1 library defined or several. In both case,
we can easily guess the behavior to follow.
So the idea of this patch is to replace the fetch of this syspref with a
call to count the number of libraries defined in DB.
Test plan:
1/ From a fresh Koha install, execute the DB entry to remove the pref.
2/ Define only 1 library
3/ Confirm that Koha behaves the same as before (try to change your
library, look at the facets)
4/ Create another library (or more) and reinsert the pref and set it:
insert into systempreferences (variable, value)
values('singleBranchMode', 1);
5/ Execute the DB entry
You should get a warning message.
6/ Repeat 3.

Does what it says, but will change behaviour for any Koha install that
has 2 branches defined, One circulation, and this preference set.
If that is an acceptable change, we might need to make sure this is noted well in the
release notes.

UPDATE: Making error messages the same
To test:
1) Go to Admin -> MARC frameworks
2) Click Import next to any framework. You won't actually be overwriting or importing anything as this is only a string fix, so it can be an existing framework
3) Click the Import button without attaching any file. Confirm it says "Please select a spreadsheet (.csv, .ods, .xml) file." and that this makes sense to you
4) Attempt to attach a file that is not a .csv, .ods or .xml file. You should instantly get an error message saying "Please select a CSV (.csv), ODS (.ods) or XML (.xml) file." Confirm this shows up and makes sense to you

If a MARC framework is in use by any records it should not be possible
to delete it. Deleting a framework which is in use will leave the
deleted framework code in those records.
This patch modifies the deletion confirmation dialog so that it will not
let the user confirm the deletion if there are records using it.
Depends on Bug 15785 - Use Font Awesome icons in confirmation dialogs
To test, apply the patch and go to Administration -> MARC frameworks

resulting confirmation dialog should prevent you from proceeding.

Nearly all cellular providers allow a person to send an text message to a cellular
phone by sending an email to phonenumber@provider. We can leverage this capability
to add the ability for Koha to send sms messages to patrons without the need to
subscribe to an sms gateway server.
Basic plan:
1. Add a table sms_providers to the db to tell Koha what service providers are available, and what domain emails should be sent to.
2. Add borrowers.sms_provider_id to tell Koha which mobile service the patron subscribes to for the number given in smsalertnumber
3. Modify Koha to send an email rather than using SMS::Send if the driver is set to 'Email'
Test plan:
0) Get a mobile phone
1) Apply the patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set the value of SMSSendDriver to 'Email'
4) Go to the admin page, the "Additional parameters" area should now have the link "SMS cellular providers"
5) On this page, add some providers. Make sure to add the provider for your own cellular phone service.
Here are some examples:
Sprint phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon phonenumber@vtext.com
T-Mobile phonenumber@tmomail.net
AT&T phonenumber@txt.att.net
Only add the domain part in the 'domain' field. So for Verizon, that would be 'vtext.com'
6) Create an account for yourself, add your SMS number, and select your provider from the dropdown box directly below it.
7) Enable SMS messaging for Item check-in and Item checkout
8) Check out an item to yourself
9) Run process_message_queue.pl
10) Wait! You should receive a text message shortly, when I tested it, I received my sms message within the minute.

Followup changes text from "The user can reset | can not reset their password on OPAC" to "Library users are allowed | not allowed to recover their password via e-mail in the OPAC"
This change more clearly differentiates the purpose of this new preference from OpacPasswordChange.
Bug 8753 - followup - update text for link to match common UI paradigms, fixes OpacPublic disabled view
Also corrects OpacNav being included on the reset page on private catalogues.

I've addressed a lot of Liz Rea's points.
1. I have moved the code from updatedatabase.pl and kohastructure.sql to a file in the atomicupdates directory.
1a. The feature is now off by default when the atomicupdate is run.
2. The password reset link is now visible on the home page, in the modal box and on opac-user.pl .
3. The password recovery pages now use bootstrap markup.
4. I am unsure here. I see "New Password:" and "Confirm new password:".
5. This should still work :).
6. I could not reproduce.
7. I have added the userid field.
You can now reset the password by submitting either your useid or email address.
Both fields can be filled, but the email address must be one of the borrower's (email, emailpro or b_email).
When entering only the email address and two borrowers use that same address, the system tells the user to try with another address or to specify his userid.
8. The text is in the atomicupdate file. Have at it, anyone.
Concerning the email. It is inconvenient for the use to have to wait X minutes for the message queue the be processed.
Maybe we could add a sub in Letters.pm that:
Takes the same argments as EnqueueLetter
Sends the letter.
Saves the letter in the message queue with a 'sent' status.
TEST PLAN:
Setup)
1) apply the patch
2) go to system preferences OPAC>>Privacy and set 'OpacResetPassword' to ON.
2b) make sure that OpacPasswordChange is also ON.
A)
1) refresh front page, click on 'Forgot your password' and enter a VALID address
1b) Also try an INVALID address (valid yet not in your koha db). An error message will show up.
2) An email should be received at that address with a link.
3) Follow the link in the mail to fill the new password.
Until a satisfactory new password is entered, the old password is not reset.
4) Go to main page try the new password.
B)
1) Repeat the password reset, this time use the userid (username) field.
2) Try to reset the password using a userid and an email not linked to the account. An error appears.
3) Make sure the borrower has many available email addresses.
4) For each email, reset the password using both the userid and the email. The link should be sent to the specified address
C)
1) Make sure two borrowers use the same email.
2) Repeat the reset procedure in test case A). An error message appears

Currently if the AnonymousPatron system preference is in use, all patron
data is anonymized. Some libraries would like to be able to see the last
patron who returned out an item ( in case of damage ) but still keep all
other patrons anonymized.
* Add the table items_last_borrower ( id, itemnumber, borrowernumber )
* Add new system preference StoreLastBorrower
* If StoreLastBorrower is enabled, upon checkin have Koha insert into
this table the patron who last returned this item. Replace existing
row based on itemnumber if exists.
* If table has a row for a given item, link to the patron from the item
details page.
Test plan:

2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Enable StoreLastBorrower
4) Issue an item to a patron and return said item
5) Issue the same item to a second patron, do not return it.
6) View moredetail.pl for the given bib, find the given item. There
should be a new field in the history list 'Last returned by' with a link
to the last patron to return the item.
Optionally, you can also verify this works even if patron issuing
history has been set to anonymize issues upon return.

These 2 subroutines are now not necessary anymore, we can use
Koha::Authority::Types to retrieve the authority types.
This patch won't be easy to test. Indeed, a lot of file are updated.

You should also confirm that the authtypecode and the authtypetext
values are correctly displayed when navigating in the authority module.

If a record has more than 20 items, all the items over 20 will show as
available on the search results even if they are not!
This is a hard coded limit in the Search module. This number should be
configurable.
Test Plan:

Currently the fee is applied on if all items for the record are issued
and at least one hold already exists on the record.
This patch does not give a complete answer to the problem (see
discussion on bug 13592 for the other user's expectations).
It only adds the ability to charge for any hold placed regardless of the
conditions.
Test plan:

2) Confirm that the behavior is the same as before applying this patch
3) Change the HoldFeeMode pref to 'always'

This patch adds the ability to set the maximum fine for a given item to
its replacement price ( assuming the replacement price is set ). If
overduefinescap is also set, the fine will be the lesser of the two, if
both apply to the given overdue checkout.
To enable this new limit, create or edit your circulation rules and
check the checkbox for "Cap fines at replacement price"
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Pick an item, and set it's replacement price to 3.99
4) Edit the circulation rule that would apply to this item
and the patron you will check it out to.
5) Check out the item to the patron, and backdate the due date

The reason the budget_period_id was not defined was because in
two cases it was not passed! This patch adds those missing
parameters. And as a result, cuts out the attempt to default the
authcat to '' unless the budget_period_id is defined.
Additionally, the start and end months don't seem to be passed,
so rather than have it blow up, checking them forces the else
case logic.
budget_period_id is the budget id. If you have two budgets,
you can craft a URL to work with budget_period_id matching
those two ids. Anything else should trigger the new error which
was modified to reflect more of what the problem is.
Follow the test plan in comment #6. Feel free to also to attempt

$ mysql -u kohaadmin -p -D koha
* Enter the following query:
SELECT * FROM systempreferences WHERE variable = 'NewsAuthorDisplay';
* Check to make sure that the 'value' column has changed to reflect the choice you made in the above step.

Right now, Koha only charges fines at the end of a given charge period.
For example, let us assume a circulation rule has a charge period of one
week ( 7 days ) and a fine of $5. This means that an item can be overdue
for 6 days without accruing a fine. Koha should allow circulation rules
to be configured to place the charge at the start of the end of the
charge period so the library can decide when the fine should accrue.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) prove t/db_dependent/Circulation_Issuingrule.t
4) prove t/db_dependent/Circulation.t
5) prove t/db_dependent/Fines.t
6) Ensure you can still create/edit circulation rules

- "Item" and not "Document" is the word used throughout Koha.
- Moved the updates to an atomic update
- changed searchcategory from varchar(20) to (80)
- cleanup
This allows to group certain item types in a category, to be displayed (and searched) as such in OPAC's advanced search. For example, you can group Reserve 2h and Reserve 12h into a Reserve category. The 2 and 12h types won't appear anymore.
This also allows to simply prevent an item type from displaying as a search option.
TEST PLAN
------------------
0) Back up database, so you can reset and retest easily. ;)
1) Apply the patch
2) Run Koha QA tool.
3) prove -v t/db_dependent/Koha.t
-- all tests should pass.
4) run ./installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl to add the
two columns to itemtypes
-- Does a meaningful message get printed?
Are the columns added?
"DESCRIBE itemtypes;" should list hideinopac and searchcategory.
5) You need to add a category to group your item types:
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Authorized values,
select DOCTYPECAT in the 'Show category:' dropdown
i) If you do not have a DOCTYPECAT category, create one.
b) Click button "New authorized value for DOCTYPECAT"
c) Enter
Authorized value: HARDWARE
Description : Hardware
Description (OPAC): Hardware
6) Group your items under that new category
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Item types, choose (at least)
two item types and for each:
- Click action/Edit on the right column
- Third row (below Description) is the Search category list box, select Hardware
- click Save changes at the bottom
7) Select at least one item to be hidden in the OPAC search
a) In Intranet/Koha Admin/Item types (again), choose a different item type:
- Click action/Edit
- Click the checkbox "Hide in OPAC" below the list of icons.
8) Go test your modifications
a) Go to OPAC/Adv search.
b) Validate that all items modified above (hidden or grouped) do not appear in Item type list
c) Validate that new item type Hardware does appear instead.
d) Select item Hardware, start Search.
) Validate returned items are the of the two types that were grouped into the Hardware category in step 4.

The introduced syspref was defined before we added new guidelines
for them. This patch puts them in sync with current standards. It also
splits them into:
- A big on/off switch (BatchCheckouts)
- Patron category filter (BatchCheckoutsValidCategories)
The latter is expected to go away if we move this into a boolean column
on the 'categories' table, which seems a better approach. I'm filling a

This patch adds a system preference "UseWYSIWYGinSystemPreferences" to the Staff Client tab.
By default, it is off, which means that the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor won't be shown for system
preferences with a type of "htmlarea".
However, when it's on, it will show the editor for "Local Use" preferences with a "htmlarea"
type, and for other system preferences in the "Opac", "Circulation", and "Staff Client" tabs,
which I have re-assigned. (Basically, I grepped for HTML and changed the type for all
the system preferences I found except for "IntranetNav", "OpacCustomSearch", and "OPACSearchForTitleIn",
as a WYSIWYG editor would potentially break the output for these system preferences or
add no value to them...)
_TEST PLAN_

The key files that I touch are:
1) admin/systempreferences.pl
2) koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/admin/preferences.tt
3) koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/admin/systempreferences.tt
I also add:
4) koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/wysiwyg-systempreferences.inc
and
5) koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/lib/tiny_mce/plugins/advimage
This plugin is part of the TinyMCE distribution. It used to be in Koha, but
then someone removed it. It's useful for preferences like "opacheader" though.
*If you're using anything except IE, this should work super well. If
you're using IE, it'll probably only work for keyboard input and dragging
text within the editor box but not from outside of it. IE has worse
security, so you can probably paste using the context menu paste.
*While I think a WYSIWYG editor can be useful, there might be times
where the content is displayed differently than it is in the editor
because of higher level CSS and Javascript.

New cataloging plugin upload.pl and new system preference 'uploadPath'.
upload.pl provide a way to upload files on the server and store a link
(url) to it in MARC
uploadPath is the absolute path on the server where the files will be
stored. It's possible to have a hierarchy of directories under this path
and the plugin will allow to choose in which directory to store the
file.
Stored value in MARC subfield looks like this:
<OPACBaseURL>/cgi-bin/koha/opac-retrieve-file.pl?id=<SHA-1 of the file>
So both 'uploadPath' and 'OPACBaseURL' sysprefs have to be set for this

Edit: more meaninfull commit subject
It would be incredibly helpful if we could easily enable Koha to dump
all Template Toolkit variables to a comment for debugging purposes.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase
3) Enable the new system preferences DumpTemplateVarsIntranet and
DumpTemplateVarsOpac
4) Load a page in the staff intranet, view the html source
5) Note the template toolkit variables are embedded in an html comment
6) Load a page in the opac, view the html source
7) Note the template toolkit variable are embedded in an html comment
NOTE: I had to cpan2deb Template::Plugin::Stash to test.
This is not optimal. Additionally:
http://www.template-toolkit.org/docs/modules/Template/Plugin/index.html
does not contain Stash. I suspect this was how it was
introduced initially by TT.

The information needed to build the dropdown is already passed.
This patch uses it to build the variable type dropdown correctly.
TEST PLAN
---------
1) Apply 14135
2) In the staff client:
Home -> Global system preferences -> Local use
3) Click 'Edit' on any system preference.
4) Note all the types listed.
5) Click 'Cancel'
6) Apply this patch
7) Click '+New Preference'
8) Enter data to have a decent 'Free' type preference.
9) Click 'Save'
10) For each type noted in step 4 (do 'Free' again last)
a) Click 'Edit' for the added system preference
-- it should be the last saved variable type.
b) Change the variable type to the next type.
c) Click 'Save'
d) Repeat steps (a) through (c) until all the types have
been done.
-- NOTE: Yes, there are other strange things here, but
those are beyond the scope of this bug.

adds alphabetical sorting to <select> lists displayed by
preferences.tt. although added for sorting the days of the
week, this may have larger ramifications. haven't been
tested thoroughly, but no apparent breakage seems to be
happening in preferences.
NOTE: Nice tweak. Makes days of week in sensible order.
Properly adds sorting based on documentation that

Mubassir Ahsan asked on the Koha mailing list:
Is there any option to set Saturday as the first day of
the week? Please help me.
CalendarFirstDayOfWeek is currently either Sunday|Monday.
By converting it to 0|1|2|3|4|5|6
(Sunday, Monday, ..., Saturday), we can allow any day of the
week to be the first day of the week in the date picker.
TEST PLAN
---------
1) Backup DB
2) In mysql:
> DELETE FROM systempreferences;
> SOURCE .../installer/data/mysql/sysprefs.sql
> SELECT variable,value FROM systempreferences;
-- It should say 'CalendarFirstDayOfWeek' and '0'
May say '1' if you are using Norwegian.
3) Restore your DB
4) .../installer/data/mysql/updatedatabase.pl
-- If your previous value for 'CalendarFirstDayOfWeek' was
'Sunday', it should be '0'. For 'Monday', it should be '1'.
5) Test an installation with 'de-DE' as the language.
-- The default value should be '1'.
6) Test an installation with 'nb-NO' as the language.
-- The default value should be '1'.
7) In the staff client, confirm that any day of the week is
available in the I18N/L10N system preferences for the
CalendarFirstDayOfWeek dropdown.
-- I'm aware they aren't in order, but I'm after
functionality, not finesse.
8) In another tab, go to a staff place that has a datepicker.
For example, Home -> Tools -> Inventory/stocktaking
9) For each possible value in the CalendarFirstDayOfWeek,
go to the other tab, refresh the page after updating the
system preference, and click the datepicker icon.
-- The date picker should then start on the selected
day of the week.
10) Log into OPAC
-- This may require setting: opacuserlogin to 'Allow'.
11) Click the personal details tab on the left.
12) There is a date picker for the date of birth.
-- The date picker should then start on the selected
day of the week.
13) Run koha QA test tools.

This patch make inactive vendors really inactive.
That means an inactive vendor would not be able to add a basket / add an order.
Revised test plan
=================
1/ In the acquisition module create 2 vendors: 1 active and 1 inactive.
2/ On the acqui/booksellers.pl, acqui/uncertainprice.pl,
admin/aqcontract.pl and acqui/supplier.pl (pages which include the
acq toolbar), you should be able to, for both the 'active' as well
as the inactive vendor :
(a) add new basket
(b) add order items to the basket
Remark: This is *wrong*. You should be able to do so only for active
vendor.
3/ Apply the patch
4/ Go to the links in step #2 above and select the inactive vendor
you should no longer be able to:
(a) add new basket
(b) add order items to the basket
Remark: This is the *correct* behaviour
5/ No change should be noted for vendor marked "active", and should
be able to undertake operations 4 (a), 4 (b) and 4 (c).
Remark: This is the *correct* behaviour.
6/ run koha qa tests tool
Bug 12054: (follow-up) Inactive vendors should be inactive

This patch allows Koha OAI repository to support deleted records.
The OAI-PMH:DeletedRecord syspref is introduced and can be set to:
- persistent (in case Koha's deletedbiblio table will never be emptied
or truncated)
- transient (in case Koha's deletedbiblio table might be emptied or
truncated at some point)
Test plan:
- After applying the patch, test that:
- Deleted records appear in ListRecords and ListIdentifiers requests.
- Filter parameters (from, until, set and resumptionToken) still work
and are applied to ListRecords and ListIdentifiers requests.
- Identify request shows if the repository is considered persistent
or transient, according to the OAI-PMH:DeletedRecord syspref.
- Deleted records that used to belong to a set are still displayed in
those sets and marked as deleted.
- GetRecord requests work on deleted records, which are marked as deleted.
Requests examples:

The 'Local Use' system preference addition/modification template provides the following options against "Variable Type" - Choice, YesNo, Integer, Textarea, Float, Themes, Languages, Upload or ClassSource.
There is no option presented for "Free" which seems to be the most
used variable type out-of-the-box (i.e. INTRAdidyoumean,
OPACdidyoumean, UsageStatsID and UsageStatsLastUpdateTime)
This trivial patch proposes to modify the systempreferences.tt
and add the option 'Free' to the list offered to users.
Test Plan
=========
1/ Go to Home > Administration > System preferences > Local use
2/ Click on 'New preference'.
3/ In the fieldset 'Koha Internal', the variable types offered
are Choice, YesNo, Integer, Textarea, Float, Themes,
Languages, Upload or ClassSources.
4/ Clicking on 'Choice' should set the 'preftype' field as
'Choice'.
5/ Apply this patch.
6/ Refresh the page.
7/ The variable types list should read - "Free, Choice, YesNo,
Integer, Textarea, Float, Themes, Languages, Upload or
ClassSources".
8/ Clicking on 'Free' should set the 'preftype' field as 'Free'.

are appropriately updated.
8) Go to staff client and do an install of koha, with
all the dummy data.
9) Ensure you have all the languages enabled (see (3))
10) Refresh your OPAC page
-- language selector position should be in both
the footer and at the top as expected.
-- this confirms the sysprefs.sql change.
11) Restore your DB
12) run the updatedatabase.pl script
13) Ensure you have all the languages enabled (see (3))
14) Refresh the OPAC page

have changes around a SET, IF, and END.
This confirms the noprint was fixed.
16) In the staff client, change the OPAC system preference,
OpacLangSelectorMode, to all three values.
For each value, refresh the OPAC page, and confirm the
position of the language selector.

If a Koha server is configured to run over SSL, all iDreamBooks content

First, it is strongly recommended to set the OPACBaseURL. But
this patch allows the inclusion of the protocol and not just
a site.
Next, C4/Auth now puts OPACBaseURL into the template parameters
regardless of OPAC or Staff clients. t/db_dependent/Auth.t was
tweaked to add a check for confirming that get_template_and_user
adds OPACBaseURL to both OPAC and Staff templates.
In the staff client, once the OPACBaseURL is set, you get a nice
OPAC View link when viewing a biblio's detail. It should reflect
the protocol used now.
Hard coded 'http://' strings were removed from the
sample_notices.sql files. This is what required also updating
the letters table in the updatedatabase.pl script.
The explanation text in the sysprefs.sql needed updating too to
reflect the inclusion of the protocol. And this was the other
update done in the updatedatabase.pl script. The opac.pref file
was similarly changed as well.
catalogue/detail.pl had no need to pass a custom OpacUrl value,
since C4/Auth passes the required OPACBaseURL, so it and the
corresponding template were modified.
Both the MARC21 and NORMARC intranet details files had 'http://'
hard coded in them. This was removed.
Both the bootstrap and prog theme opac-detail template had a
protocol parameter that was used. The logic for the parameter
was not removed, because it is used extensively in one template.
Perhaps it should be used to simplify the other. However, the
calculated current_url parameter had references to the protocol
removed, because of the changes to OPACBaseURL.
opac/opac-shareshelf.pl had a hard coded 'http://' which was
removed.
t/db_dependent/Auth_with_cas.t had 'http://' added to the value
set for OPACBaseURL.
In virtualshelves/sendshelf.pl explicit code which sent the
OPACBaseURL preference was removed, since C4/Auth sends it all
the time now.
C4::Context::set_preference was tweaked to ensure that
OPACBaseURL would always start with http.
t/db_dependent/Context.t was tweaked to specifically test this.
The Shibboleth authentication needs OPACBaseURL set, and that
it be https protocol. The _get_uri routine was tweaked to always
pass back https:// as the protocol on the OPACBaseURL.
t/Auth_with_shibboleth.t was tweaked to specifically test the
changes.

To match IntranetUserCSS, intranetuserjs should be renamed
IntranetUserJS.
Test plan:
1/ Be sure there is no occurrence of intranetuserjs
2/ Confirm the pref still works as before

The default authority type cannot be defined.
The authtypecode is en empty string and the tests should be done on
"defined", not "exist".
Test plan:
Edit the default authority type, save it.
Note: There is no way to create an authority with an empty string, with
you deleted you won't be able to recreate it.
Followed test plan, works as expected.
