From
commit df97814f30
Bug 15758: Koha::Libraries - Remove GetBranches
+ selected_branchcode => ( C4::Context->IsSuperLibrarian ? C4::Context->userenv : '' ),
And
- [% PROCESS options_for_libraries libraries => Branches.all() %]
+ [%# FIXME Should not we filter the libraries displayed? %]
+ [% PROCESS options_for_libraries libraries => Branches.all( selected => selected_branchcode, unfiltered => 1 ) %]
The change in the pl is wrong as it should pass C4::Context->userenv->{branch},
but prior to this commit it seems that we didn't select the logged in
library anyway.
Looks like we should remove this code but preserve the current behavior and select "All libraries".

This patch corrects the login link in the OPAC when GoogleOpenIDConnect
is enabled. It removes modal-related markup which was causing the link
to fail.
To test, apply the patch and enable the GoogleOpenIDConnect system
preference.
- In the OPAC, click the "Log in to your account" link in the header.
You should be redirected to a Google authentication form.
- Disable the GoogleOpenIDConnect preference. The login link in the OPAC
should trigger a modal login form.

This patch corrects a broken path in the OPAC holds history page.
This patch also corrects the breadcrumb markup which didn't conform to
the new Bootstrap 4 pattern.
To test, apply the patch and log into the OPAC as a patron who has past
or current holds.
- View the "your holds history" page.
- Click a title link in the table of holds. It should take you to the
correct bibliographic detail page.
- Check the breadcrumbs of the page. They should look consistent with
breadcrumb navigation on other pages in the OPAC.

This patch modifies the script and template so that if the user submits
a search by category, that category will be preselected on the search
results page.
Also added is an empty "Choose" option so that a search category isn't
selected by default.
To test, apply the patch and view the uploads page.

This patch makes a variety of changes to the uploads page in order to
improve usability:
- Add a toolbar with an "Upload" button so that it can be accessed from
the upload results or search results views
- On views other than the "main" view, add search forms to the sidebar
- The search form markup has been modified somewhat in order to make
it work well in both the sidebar and the main body of the page.
- Show the upload category description instead of the code
- Link the upload category in search results to a search for that
category
The "enctype" attribute has been removed from the search forms because
it is unnecessary and causes form resubmission errors in some browsers
(Firefox at least).
To test, apply the patch and make sure you have at least one entry under
Authorized values for the category UPLOAD.
- Go to Tools -> Upload.
- Upload a file, adding a category as you do so.
- On the upload results page, test that the "Upload file" button
returns you to the main upload page.
- On the upload results or search results view, confirm that the "Search
uploads by category" and "Search uploads by name" forms work
correctly.
- When viewing upload or search results, confirm that the category
discription is shown instead of the code. Confirm that the category is
a link to a search for other files in that category.

patron-related messages on both the checkout page and the patron detail
page. This allows the two pages to be consistent with each other.
The patch also makes some minor CSS adjustments, including the addition
of an SVG to replace an old GIF, arrow-bullet.gif.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff interface CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
- View both the checkout and patron details page for patrons in the

same way, including:
- Pending modifications
- Pending expiration
- Expired
- Address in doubt
- Card lost
- Restricted (indefinite and with expiration)
- Outstanding overdues

This patch makes the following changes:
Add menu option Edit URLs.
Edit modal form to edit URLs.
Save URLs via ajax call to svc/article_request (Add action update_urls).
Add URL column to pending and processing table.
Allow Edit URLs for pending table too (just as Complete).
Do not allow 'Complete request' if a scan request has no URL(s).
Test plan:
[1] Add a few scan and photocopy requests.
[2] Fill url-A and url-B in two separate scan requests.
[3] Verify that these two urls are really saved (refresh form).

We need to add the format to the forms entering new requests:
opac/opac-request-article
circ/request-article
If the pref contains multiple formats like SCAN|PHOTOCOPY, the first listed
format will be preselected on the request form. If there is only one option,
we should not disable the select however. (Possibly hide it.)
If we have no mandatory fields, we should not allow the submit of a complete
empty form (check on OPAC).
And we need to show the format of pending requests on forms:
opac/opac-user
circ/request-article (biblio detail tab)
circ/article-requests (staff form to handle requests)
members/moremember (Article requests tab at the bottom)
circ/circulation (Checkout/Article requests tab)
Note: The last two forms use the same include file.
Test plan:
[1] Add an article request via opac or staff. Choose Scan.
[2] Verify that you see the Scan format on opac-user and the
above-mentioned staff forms.

If an article record has been catalogued separately, has no items and
contains a reference to its host via MARC21 field 773 (host item entry),
this patch makes an article request redirect to the host record while
copying title, author and page info (from 773$g).
This is accomplished by using the new Koha::Biblio->host_record method.
Note: Subfield 773$g may contain additional information on volume and
issue number etc. It will be very hard or perhaps impossible to parse $g
and copy these details into the corresponding fields of the article
request form for all possible variations used in libraries. A similar
remark can be made for selecting the correct item (when item level is
used). We could try this on a future report, but will probably need at
least a preference to define the expected format.
Test plan:
[1] Enable article requests. Add rules for an ART and a SER itemtype.
[2] Create a SER host biblio record.
[3] Create an ART biblio record, no items. Include a 773w pointing to the
SER record with '(MARCorgcode)[recno]' (keep the parentheses, remove
the square brackets when inserting the biblionumber).
Include text in 773$g too.
[4] Place an article request on the ART record. Verify that it redirects
you to the SER record while copying title, author, page info.

Some libraries would like to be able to preserve particular fields for
existing patrons when overwriting them via the patron import tool.
Effectively, this means the specified columns of the CSV are used for
new patrons, but ignored for existing patrons.
Test Plan:
1) Create a patron CSV with one new patron, make the surname and
firstname "Test1". Add a cardnumber so we can upload it again later.
2) Import the file
3) Change the firstname and surname in the CSV to "Test2"
4) Return to the patron import tool, choose to match on cardnumber,
overwrite existing patrons, and preserve exiting firstnames
5) Import the file with these settings
6) Referesh the patron details for this patron, the patron's surname
should still be "Test" while the firstname should now be "Test2"

This patch modifies the JavaScript which adds search result information
to the OPAC search results page which is returned from OverDrive,
Recorded Books, or Open Library. The information now displays below the
page heading instead of inside it.

preferences populated (OverDriveClientKey, OverDriveClientSecret,
OverDriveLibraryID), or RecordedBooks preferences (RecordedBooksClientSecret,
RecordedBooksDomain, RecordedBooksLibraryID).
This patch was written with OverDrive and Open Library results active.
- Apply the patch and perform a search in the OPAC catalog.
- On the search results page you should see results for your external

This patch makes some changes to the style and use of the "problem"
class in the staff interface:
- Remove the background color
- Remove the extra line height
Some changes to the template:
- Remove the problem class from the checkin message. The checkin
message configuration determines whether the dialog is an alert or a
message-style dialog.
- Add Font Awesome icons to the "problem" messages in patron details
and serials collection. This is to help emphasize the message for
users who might have difficulty seeing the color difference.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff interface CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
- Go to Administration -> Item types and configure a checkin message
for an item type: Add a message and select "Message" as the checkin
message type.
- Check in an item with that item type and confirm that you see the
checkin message. It should be displayed in a message-style dialog
without any additional styling.
- Change the item type configuration to use "Alert" as the checkin
message type. Confirm that the correct style is shown in this case as
well.
- Locate a patron with a NULL value in borrowers.password. View the
detail page for that patron.
- Under the "Library use" heading, the "Password" line should contain a
link with the text "Undefined," preceded by a red-colored Font
Awesome icon.
- In Serials, locate a subscription which is expired.
- View the details for the subscription, and then open "serial
collection" from the sidebar menu.
- On the serial collection page there should be a cell in the
subscription summary table showing the message "Subscription expired"
preceded by a red-colored Font Awesome icon.

This fixes an issue in the way we calculate the check for hold policy 'from_home_library'
Currently we change the comparison based on ReservesControlBranch, however, that should
only control the rule we fetch, not how we compare
When ReservesControlBranch is set to "patron's home library" we compare the patron's branch to
the patron's branch, this is useless and means we pass the check for all branches all of the time
We should instead compare the patron's branch to the item's branch, and only fetch the rule using ReservesControlBranch
To test:
1 - Have a record with an item from library A and library B
2 - Set the 'Default checkout, hold and return policy'->Hold policy->From home library for all libraries
and ensure you have no branch specific/itemtype specific rules set
3 - Attempt to place a hold on the record for a patron from library B
4 - Note that only the library B item is holdable - place a title level hold (do not choose an item)
5 - Check in the item from library A
6 - It fills the hold - This is incorrect - ignore the hold
7 - Apply patch
8 - Restart all the things
9 - Check in the item from library A
10 - No hold found
11 - Check in the item from library B
12 - Hold found, correctly

The expected behaviour for "On shelf holds allowed" setting for the circulation rules (Koha administration > Patrons and circulation > Circulation and fines rules):
- Allow holds only on items that are currently checked out or otherwise unavailable.
- If set to "Yes", patrons can place holds on items currently checked in.
- If set to "If any unavailable", patrons can only place holds on items that are not unavailable.
- If set to "If all unavailable", patrons can only place holds on items where *all* items on the record are unavailable.
(Adapted from https://bywatersolutions.com/education/preparing-for-library-closures)
These rules should also work when using ILS-DI, but currently they don't. This bug makes sure that the "On shelf holds allowed" rules work correctly when using ILS-DI to place holds.
Test plan:
1. Enable ILS-DI (set the ILS-DI system preference to Enable).
2. Go to Koha administration > Patrons and circulation > Circulation and fines rules.
3. Work through steps 4-5 for each of the settings for "On shelf holds allowed" for all libraries/patron categories/item types:
. "Yes", "If any unavailable", and "If all unavailable"
4. Staff interface - place a hold on a record with items available for loan, the rules should work as expected before and after the patch is applied:
. "Yes"
==> information column in the item table displays "Not on hold", the hold is placed, cancel the hold
. "If any unavailable" and "If all unavailable"
==> the hold is not placed, message is "Cannot place hold. No items are available to be placed on hold.", red "X" in the hold column and the information column displays "Not on hold".
5. ILS-DI - place a hold on a record with items available for loan (note: without the patch, holds can be placed):
. Query to place a hold using ILS-DI on a title that have all its items available,
example query: http://127.0.0.1:8080/cgi-bin/koha/ilsdi.pl?service=HoldTitle&patron_id=1&bib_id=1&request_location=127.0.0.1
==> Without the patch the hold is placed but it shouldn't be allowed, cancel the hold
. Query to place a hold using ILS-DI on an available item,

This reverts commit 6c10582914.
This commit was part of a series adding adding reverse transfers, i.e.
transfers that were created for transfers that were cancelled and
we wanted the item to return back to its sending library. This however
hid the information about transfer happening and we need another approach
to the problem.

This patch re-instates the call to updateWrongTransfer to ensure the
transfer line is updated to reflect the new frombranch.
Test plan
note: when applying the patches, also update the database
1/ Check an item out from it's home library
2/ Check the item in at another library
(with AutomaticItemReturn system preferences enabled)
2a/ Accept the transfer and note we now have a transfer present from the
items check-in library to it's home library
3/ Check the item in at a third library
3a/ Note you are asked to return the item to it's home library.
3b/ With the patch applied, the modal title should highlight that a
'Wrong transfer' was detected.
4/ Go to the item record and note the holding library has been updated
to reflect where the item was most recently checked in.
4a/ With the patch applied the item status should reflect the last
checked in branch as the 'from' branch of the transfer.
5/ check-in from a 4th library, but use the 'Print slip' option for
accepting the transfer and confirm that also works.
6/ check-in from a 5th library, but use the 'Cancel' option and check
that this results in the item staying at it's current location and the
final transfer having been cancelled.

This patch makes request.pl pass the holding library object to the
template, if it is a valid pickup location for the item. This way, the
template can set a good default to save clicks.
To test:
1. Have "Hold pickup library match" set to "Item's home library"
2. Have a record with items in three different branches. For example:
- item1: homebranch: MPL, holdingbranch: MPL
- item2: homebranch: FPL, holdingbranch: FPL
- item3: homebranch: CPL, holdingbranch: IPT
3. Have FPL marked as 'No' for pickup location
4. On the record, open the page for placing a hold for a patron
(acevedo?)
=> SUCCESS: You are presented the regular hold placing page, with an
extra column on the items for pickup location setting
=> SUCCESS: The item2 (on FPL) cannot be selected, there's a clear message
about not having valid pickup locations
=> FAIL: The other ones don't have anything pre-selected on the
dropdowns
5. Apply this patch
6. Repeat 4 (go back to the record, etc)
=> SUCCESS: Nothing changed BUT the item with holding branch = MPL has
it set by default in the dropdown.
=> SUCCESS: IPT is not a valid pickup location for item3, so not set by
default in this case.

Besides the commit subject, this patch does much more:
- It makes request.pl stop passing a pickup location to
CanItemBeReserved
- It makes the page use the API to render a dropdown for each item, with
their valid pickup locations
- Items with no valid pickup locations have a nice message about why
they are disabled for selection
To test:
1. Apply this patch
2. Choose a biblio for placing a hold
3. Choose a patron
=> SUCCESS: You are presented with a new layout, that includes a
dropdown for choosing each item's pickup location. If an item is not
holdable, it still isn't.
4. Try having an item whose home branch is not marked as a pickup
location
=> SUCCESS: Notice you cannot choose that item
5. CHoose an item, but do not choose a branch, and click 'Place hold'
=> SUCCESS: It shows an alert about the need to choose a pickup location
6. Choose one of the (only possible) pickup locations for the specific
item
7. Place the item level hold
=> SUCCESS: All goes as expected!

and correct some other related problem by passing the hold object to the template and
using that to fetch patron info as well as passing the reserve_id through to ensure the correct hold is

To test:

2 - Sign in at Library A
3 - Browse to Circulation->Transfers
4 - Attempt to transfer an item on the title with the hold to Library B
5 - You get a notice that hold was found (missing patron/branch info)
6 - You have the option to set the hold waiting - click it
7 - The transfer is generated and marked completed
8 - The hold is marked as waiting, but the item is still at Library A and no transfer is active
9 - The patron is notified that the hold is waiting
10 - Revert the hold or cancel and place a new one
11 - Apply patches
12 - Attempt transfer again
13 - You now have the option to transfer the hold
14 - Click that
15 - Hold is in transit and transfer is generated correctly

Fix table highlighting at
/cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/additem.pl?biblionumber=XXXX
Every odd row of the table didn't get highlighted with the yellow color
when you tried to edit it previously, this patch fixes that.
That happened because every odd row had different coloring style that
was overwriting yellow highlight.
How to reproduce:
1) Head over to the
/cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/additem.pl?biblionumber=XXXX,
where XXXX is id of some bilbio record that has more than one
biblio item.
2) Press the "Action" button of the first (or any other odd numbered)
biblion item, and from the dropdown menu select "edit" option.
3) Notice that it doesn't highlight it with yellow color.
4) Now do the same but with second biblio item (or any even numbered
item).
5) Notice that it highlights it with the yellow color.
6) Apply the patch. Do yarn build to compile css.
7) Make sure that every row of the table that you edit gets properly
highlighted with the yellow color.

Before Bug 27980 the sorting was done either by item's publisheddate
if it existed in at least one item. If it didn't exist then the
sorting was done using "h - Serial Enumeration / chronology"
field. This restores this sorting functionality in catalogue/detail.pl
page.
To test:
1. Create a serial subscription for a biblio, make sure to enable the
option "Create an item record when receiving this serial"
2. Receive two serials, so that they have different received dates
and check that the items are now created to the biblio
3. Add now two additional items with one having "A" and other having
"B" in the "h - Serial Enumeration / chronology" field.
4. Try sorting and notice the items with publisheddate are being
sorted and ones without stay in the order they happened to be
5. Remove the items with publisheddate and notice that now items with
"A" and "B" get sorted correctly

This patch adds text to the holds template in the staff client so that
if a particular item is at a library which isn't a hold location the
error message is descriptive.
To test, apply the patch and go to Administration -> Libraries.
- Change one of your libraries so that "Pickup location" is set to
"No."
- Locate a title in the catalog which has an item at that location.
- The "pick up at" list will exclude the library so and additional steps
must be taken to get the message
- Select a patron and set their library to the one we can't pick up at.
- Start the process of placing a hold on the title.
- After selecting the patron to place the hold for, look at the table of
items under "Place a hold on a specific item."
- The item located at the library you modified should show an error
message in the "Hold" column, "Library is not a pickup location."

This patch removes code and markup related to an autocomplete input
field in the overdues report filter. The autocomplete was intended
to enable easy entry of patron attributes, but it's simpler to use a
Select2-styled <select>
The patch removes circ/ypattrodue-attr-search-authvalue.pl, which was
only used on this page and is now obsolete.
To test, apply the patch and create at least one patron attribute type
which is linked to an authorized value:
- Administration -> Authorized values -> New category
- Create a new category to test with
- Add multiple authorized values under this category
- Administration -> Patron attribute types -> New patron attribute
type.
- Create an attribute which is linked to the authorized value
category you created AND which is marked "Searchable."
- Go to Circulation -> Overdues.
- In the sidebar filter you should see your patron attribute as an
option, styled as a Select2 dropdown.
- Clicking the dropdown should trigger a list of the authorized
values you created above.
- Test that the search field at the top of the list works correctly
to filter the results.
- Test that any repeatable attribute field can be cloned by clicking
the "Add" link, and that cloned fields can be removed using the
"Delete" links.
- Test that cloned fields remain in place after submitting the fitler
form, and that any selected entry in a Select2 widget is
preselected.

By default, only the email transport is enabled. This gives the
messaging preferences the look of having email and digest and two
options. I.E. to some users it appears that you check email for single
emails, *or* you check digest for a digest email.
To help remove this possible confusion, the digest mode checkbox should
be disabled if no digest-able transports are checked for a given notice.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) For both the staff interface and the opac, note that the digest
checkbox is disabled any time that no digest enabled transport (
email, sms if enabled ) is checked for the patron editor.

This patch fixes a bug and adds some style changes which I think are
nice. The bugfix is to change the z-index of the lightbox footer so that
it isn't hidden when there is a language menu in the footer.
The cosmetic changes replace the Chocolat image icons with new SVG
assets based on Bootstrap Icons (https://icons.getbootstrap.com/). The
color changes I think help the controls to be more visible.

For names and uniform titles, when you do a z39.50 search from an authority

form, but for subjects, we don't, both because GetMandatoryFieldZ3950 thinks
the param is topic when it's actually subject, and because
z3950_auth_search.tt doesn't bother putting the value of &subject into the

On bug 15422 we made it so that only holds with copies to buy to acheive the holds ratio
showed
Users have reported that they want to see record where there are 0 copies to buy i.e.
the holds ration matches the value entered
This patch changes the criteria for returning holds to be if the ratio for a given title
is equal to or greater then the ratio specified in the form
I also renamed 'ratiocalc' to 'copies_to_buy' since that is what is contains
Test plan:
1. Create bibliographic records with 1, 2 and 3 items
2. Place 1 hold on each of them
3. Go to the Hold ratios report and search with ratio = 1, 2 then 3
4. You expect to see:
the title with 1 item with ratio 1
nothing otherwise
5. Place another hold on each of the record
6. Repeat 3 you expect to see:
titles with 1 or 2 items with ratio 1
title with 1 item for ratio 2
nothing with ratio 3
7. Place another hold on each of the record
8. Repeat 3 you expect to see:
titles with 1 or 2 or 3 items with ratio 1
title with 1 item or 2 items for ratio 2
nothing with ratio 3
9. Make sure there is no regression in the test plan of bug 15422
Comments from Frank Hansen:
Some comments.
When I adding the third hold on each record in step 7, It will result in
the following result:
titles with 1 or 2 or 3 items with ratio 1

This patch adds a link to the display of publicly-accessible uploads so
that the user can copy the public link. This will hopefully lead to
easier use of sound file uploads in the Audio Alerts system.
To test, apply the patch and go to Tools -> Upload.
- If necessary, upload a file with the "Allow public downloads"
checkbox checked.
- Upon upload you should be shown the results of your upload in a table
with the file details.
- In the "Public" column you should see that "Yes" is a link.
- When you hover your mouse over the link you should see a tooltip,
"Copy link to this file."
- When you click the link the tooltip should say "Link copied to the
clipboard."
- Verify that the correct link has been copied.
- Test uploading a file which is not publicly-accessible.
- Confirm that the information in the "Public" column says "No" and is
not a link.

This patch adds additional delivery notes to messages in message queue as there
can be multiple reasons for a delivery to fail.
Currently in message_queue we are given only two delivery statuses for messages,
"sent" and "failed". When the status becomes failed, we have no idea why it fails.
This feature can be useful with SMS gateway providers. Many SMS gateways inform
the application the reason of SMS delivery failure. With this feature, this
information can now be stored. As well as for emails, instead of simply logging
failures, we can now store the reason of failure directly into the message row
of message_queue.
Test plan:
1. Enable EnhancedMessagingPreferences syspref
2. Find a borrower with notices at members/notices.pl
3. Observe that there is no column for Delivery notes
4. Apply patch and run the given database update
5. Repeat step 1.
6. Observe that there is now a column for Delivery notes

This commit allows librarians to choose whether they want to query the
homebranch, holdingbranch or homebranch AND holdingbranch when they set
a library or library group search condition in the staff client and OPAC
advanced searches.
Test plan:
1. Apply patches, update database, restart services
2. Set up a record with one item. Edit the item so that:
home branch = Branch A
holding/current branch = Branch B.
Note the barcode of your item.
3. Go to Administration -> Library Groups. Create a library group that
only contains Branch A.
= homebranch and holdingbranch =
4. Go to Administration -> System preferences and find the new
SearchLimitLibrary syspref. Confirm it is set to 'homebranch and
holdingbranch' by default. Keep this tab open.

If the quote of the day feature is enabled, a "Quote of the day" heading
is displayed. It was an <h3> which was not proper hierarchy, so this has
been changed to an <h2>.
To test:
1) Go to staff client
2) Enable quote of the day preference
3) Go to the OPAC
4) Observe "Quote of the day" heading
5) Ensure it is an <h2>

In the 'user_summary block', the "Welcome, user" was an <h3>. This has
been changed to a <p> as it isn't really a heading.
The styling can be changed to make it appear as it was before, or to
make it appear more significant on the page.
To test:
1) Go to the OPAC
2) Go to the home page
3) Go to the 'user_summary' block
4) Check that the part where is says "Welcome, user" is now a <p>

On the purchase suggestions page you could end up with two "Your

2/ Navigate to 'Purchase suggestions'
3/ Note that just one 'Your purchase suggestsions' heading appears with
a top level '1'.

The 'Payment method' heading now needs to be moved to the second level
to ensure consistent header heirarchy.
Test plan
1/ Add some debts to a patrons account
2/ Enable online payments (Paypal is a good example)
3/ Login to the OPAC and navigate to the 'Charges' page
4/ Note the header hierarchy has no gaps... (h1 -> h2, not h1 -> h3)

This patch changes the instances of input of type="number" to input
type="text" with attributes inputmode="numeric" and pattern="[0-9]*"
To test, apply the patch and run through the process of installing Koha.
When you reach onboarding step 2, "Create a patron category," check the
enrollment period -> "In months" field. The field should not accept any
input except numbers.
Continue onboarding until step 5, "Create a new circulation rule." On
this page, check that these fields accept only numbers:
- Current checkouts allowed
- Loan period
- Renewals allowed
- Renewals period
- Holds allowed (total)
- Holds allowed (daily)
- Holds per record (count)

This patch makes the AJAX call to update an existing hold, pass the
'x-koha-override' header with the value of 'any', so any pickup location
policy override that is needed, is applied.
As the override is taken into account only if AllowHoldPolicyOverride is
enabled, this in fact restores the previous behavior.
To test:
1. Have a patron with a hold
2. Have AllowHoldPolicyOverride set to 'yes'
3. Try changing the pickup location to an invalid one
=> FAIL: The options are the same as before 27205, yet the AJAX call
fails because of invalid pickup location.
4. Apply this patch
5. Repeat 3
=> SUCCESS: The API call succeeds, and the hold is updated (it is
actually refetch, so just verify it has the value you selected
