Additionally I have added a library input field in case the librarian wants to set a library branch whilst renewing a subscription. With the use case being they may have ommitted to set the branchcode whilst creating the subscription.
Test plan:
1. Create a subscription (if one does not already exist)
2. Set the RenewSerialAddsSuggestion syspref to 'Add'
3. Renew the item making sure to write in a value into the note field
3. Visit the suggestions page and notice that the note is not displayed
for the newly created suggestion
4. Apply patch
5. Repeat step 3. Notice that there is now a new branchcode dropdown
box. Select one of your libraries and write in the value into the note
field
6. Visit suggestions and notice there is now a 'Suggestion note' column
in the table containing the note.
Also note that the suggestion has the correct branchcode associated with
it

This patch adds an AJAX call to the REST API (/api/v1/biblios/) to
retrieve and display the biblio's title.
On clicking the "next" button a check is done to make sure the title
exists, which means the biblionumber we manually entered is valid (can
we assume a title is mandatory?)
Test plan:
- Create or edit a new subscription
- Enter an invalid biblionumber in the input
=> A friendly note is telling you that the biblio does not exist
- Try to switch to the next screen
=> You get an alert
- Enter a valid biblionumber in the input
=> The title is displayed
=> Try to switch to the next screen
=> It works!

This feature allows you to add multiple item records when receiving a
serial, if the subscription is set to 'create item record when receiving
serials'. Please note this is not the same as multi-receiving, more like
multi-adding!
To test:
1) Create a subscription, ensure the 'Create an item record when
receiving this serial' option is selected
2) Receive a serial
3) Expand the item form by selecting 'click to add item'
4) Fill in details, including a barcode. Leave 'number of copies' as 1
and Save.
5) Confirm the serial is received as expected.
6) In another tab, open the bibliographic record attached to this
subscription
7) Confirm the item record was created upon receiving the serial
8) Go back to the serial collection and receive next serial
9) Expand the item form by selecting 'click to add item'
10) Fill in details again, this time change 'number of copies' to a
different number e.g. 3, and Save
11) Confirm the serial is received as expected.
12) Check back at the biblio record that 3 item records were created and
the barcode was incremented for each additional item.

When deleting a borrower on a routing list we leave a gap in the numbering. It appears to only be a problem when viewing
or editing the list in the staff client.
Rather than use the rank in the DB to set the values, we use the implicit order
To test:
1 - Create a subscription (or find one)
2 - Add a routing list
3 - Add five patrons
4 - Delete the patron who is third in the list
5 - Edit the routing list
6 - Note the priority for the last patron is 1

This patch makes a change to the subscription entry template as a
workaround to a translation bug which is causing JavaScript errors when
using translated templates.
To test, apply the patch and update and install the de-DE template:
> cd misc/translator
> perl translate update de-DE
> perl translate install de-DE
- Go to Administration -> System preferences and enable the "Deutsch
(de-DE)" language under I18N/L10N preferences -> language.
- Switch to the "Deutsch" translation.
- Go to Zeitschriften (Serials) -> Neues Abonnement (New subscription)
and open the browser console. There should be no errors.
- Links which trigger JavaScript events should work correctly:
"Lieferant suchen," "Nach Datensatz suchen," etc.

This patch upgrades DataTables and makes some style changes to the
default DataTables toolbar style. DataTables assets are now combined and
minified using their download customizer, bundling together these
elements:
- JSZip 2.5.0
- pdfmake 0.1.36
- DataTables 1.10.18
- Buttons 1.5.6
- Column visibility 1.5.6
- HTML5 export 1.5.6
- Print view 1.5.6
- FixedHeader 3.1.4
DataTables assets have been moved from lib/jquery/plugins to
lib/datatables. The global header and footer include files are updated
correspondingly.
This patch removes the custom "four_button" pagination configuration and
updates pages which used it to use the built-in "full" type instead.
This is done for the sake of consistency and upgradability. This change
touches a lot of files.
Table-specific CSS has been moved from staff-global.scss to a new
include, _tables.scss. A second common include, _mixins.scss has some
variable definitions used in both files.
Many images have been made obsolete by this change and have been
removed.
To test, apply the patch and regenerate the staff client CSS. View
various pages in the staff client with tables:
- Not formatted by DataTables:
- Reports -> Most circulated items
- Catalog -> Search results
- Formatted by DataTables without column configuration
- Acquisitions -> Vendor search
- Lists
- Formatted by DataTables with column configuration
- Administration -> Libraries
- Administration -> Item types
- Reports -> Saved SQL reports
- Non-standard DataTables configurations:
- Circulation -> Checkouts
- Administration -> System preferences
- Reports -> Lost items

This patch updates GetLatestSerials in Serials.pm to remove date
formatting. Formatting of dates should be done in the template using
$KohaDates.
To test, apply the patch and locate a bibliographic record in the staff
client which has a subscription with issues.
- On the bibliographic detail page for that record, view the
"Subscriptions" tab. Dates in the table of recent issues should be
formatted correctly.
- View the details for the subscription in the Serials module. Create
or edit a routing list for that serial. In the "Issue" dropdown the
issue dates should be formatted correctly.
- View the bibliographic detail page for the record in the OPAC. Open
the "Subscriptions" tab. In the table of recent issues publication
date and received date should be formatted correctly. The table
should sort correctly on these dates.
Note: Although opac-ISBDdetail.pl calls GetLatestSerials, as far as I

This patch makes many changes to templates and JavaScript related to the
integration of Mana with serials reports:
- Many incorrect uses of the raw filter with html
- Corrections to Bootstrap modal markup
- Untranslatable strings moved out of JavaScript
- Removed markup and JavaScript related to reports comments, a feature
which doesn't exist in this version.
New include file: mana/mana-comment-status.inc
This file contains hidden-by-default messages which are shown during
the process of submitting a comment on a subscription.
New include file: mana/mana-share-report.inc
This file contains the "Share report" modal markup formerly in
guided_reports_start.tt
New JavaScript file: mana.js
Previously mana.inc, an include file containing only JavaScript which
didn't include any template processing.
Changed: mana/mana-report-search-result.inc
This include file is now a full template so that jQuery's load()
function can be used to pull its contents into the reports search
modal.
Changed: svc/mana/search
This script was returning json-encoded HTML. Now it returns regular
HTML.
To test you must have Mana configured and enabled. Apply the patch and
go to Reports -> Saved reports.
- Choose New report -> New SQL from Mana. A "Mana search" modal should
appear.
- Perform a search which will return results, e.g. "circulation."
- A "Loading" indicator should appear while the results are being
retrieved. It should disappear when results appear.
- Results should appear in the DataTable with sorting, paging, and
search options.
- In the "Notes" column, notes longer than 200 characters should be
truncated with a "Show more" link. Clicking it should expand the
comment and reveal a "Show less" link in its place.
- Click the "Import" button (previously "Use"). The button icon
should change to a loading indicator.
- When the import is complete you should be redirected to a view of
your new report.
Go to Serials and click the "Search on Mana" link in the sidebar.
- Perform a search for a serial
- Results should appear in a DataTable with sorting, paging, and search
options.
- Sorting by title should ignore articles "a," "an," and "the."
Create a new subscription or edit an existing subscription which will
match a record in Mana.
- On the second step of adding/editing the subscription a message
should appear at the top of the form, "Searching for subscription in
Mana Knowledge Base," with a loading icon.
- When searching has completed a "Show Mana results" link should
appear.
- Clicking the link should trigger a modal showing search results which
match your subscription, displayed in a DataTable with sorting,
paging, and search options.
- The last column of the table should contain "Import" and "Report"
buttons.
- Clicking the "Report" button should trigger a menu. Any existing
comments will be listed as well as a "New comment" item.
- Clicking an existing comment should cause the menu to close and a
"Submitting comment" message to appear. It should be shortly
replaced with a "Your comment has been submitted" message.
- Clicking "New comment" should reveal a comment form.
- It should not be possible to submit an empty comment.
- Clicking the "cancel" link should redisplay the search results.
- Submitting a new comment should trigger a "Submitting comment"
message followed by a "Your comment has been submitted"
message.
- In the table of search results, click the "Import" button
(previously "Use"). The button icon should change to a loading
indicator.
- The modal should close and the data from Mana should be loaded
into the subscription entry form.
View the detail page of a subscription which has saved with Mana data.
- There should be a "Report mistake" button in the toolbar. Clicking
it should reveal a menu of comments like the one you saw previously.
- Clicking an existing comment should cause the menu to close and a
"Submitting comment" message to appear. It should be shortly
replaced with a "Your comment has been submitted" message.
- Clicking "New comment" should reveal a comment form modal.
- It should not be possible to submit an empty comment.
- Clicking the "cancel" link should hide the modal.
- Submitting a new comment should trigger a "Submitting comment"
message followed by a "Your comment has been submitted"
message.

This patch makes a number of changes in order to improve the way the
staff client's header menu adjusts at narrower browser widths:
- Updated version of Bootstrap 3.3.7 which includes the "collapse"
JavaScript plugin.
- Modified default Bootstrap CSS using Bootstrap's customization tool.
These changes facilitate the removal of some custom CSS (overriding
Bootstrap) from staff-global.scss.
- Added Bootstrap config file for loading customizations at
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/3.3/customize/
- Revised button classes for buttons in Bootstrap-styled toolbars.
The modified default CSS resets the base font size in Bootstrap to
better match our global CSS. A side-effect of this is that toolbar
buttons ended up looking smaller than they should. Changing the
button class solves this.
- Restructure the header menu in order to allow different rules to
govern the appearance of the navigational part of the menu
(Circulation, Search, etc) and the user menu (Set library, My
account, Log out).
- Modify the cart JS to so that the popup works well at narrow widths.
To test, apply the patch, regenerate the staff client CSS, and clear
your browser cache.
- Log in to the staff client and observe the layout of the header menu
as you adjust the browser to various widths.
- Confirm that sections of the menu "collapse" as the window gets
narrower.
- Confirm that dropdown menus behave correctly and that links work.
- Confirm that the Cart link works as expected when the cart empty
and when it has items.
- Install and enable multiple translations, including at least one
set of sub-languages (e.g. fr-FR and fr-CA).
- Test the appearance of the language menus in the footer at
various browser widths.
- View pages with button toolbars and confirm that they appear unchanged
(e.g. biblio detail page, patron detail page).
NOTE: While this patch is intended to make improvements to staff client
responsiveness, it does so within a limited scope. There are still many
pages which do not work well at narrower browser widths.

1/ Regression:
On serials/serials-search.pl, the filters are not filled with what the
users searched for and the additional fields linked to an AV are not
displayed as a dropdown list.
4/ When searching an order, there is no way not to set a "all" value for
additional fields linked to AV.
5/ When searching an order and the search does not return any results,
the field should contain what the user filled in.

<!-- URL of the mana KB server -->
<!-- alternative value http://mana-test.koha-community.org to query the test server -->
<mana_config>https://mana-kb.koha-community.org</mana_config>
3 - Check Mana syspref and AutoShareWithMana syspref are not activated
4 - Search the syspref ManaToken and follow the instructions
5 - subscriptions

- Try to create a new subscription for serial nr1 => a message should appear when you click on "next", click on "use", the fields should automaticaly appear
- Activate AutoShareWithMana => Subscriptions
- Create a new subscription for a second serial
- There shouldn't be any Share button
- Create a second subscription => the message should appear, click again on use

This patch modifies the subscription detail page so that acquisitions
details section is not shown when there is no acquisitions data.
The acquisitions details are moved into a new tab similar to how it
appears on the bibliographic details page. A count of orders is now
passed to the template so that the check for existing acquisitions data
will work correctly.
To test, apply the patch and view the detail page for subscriptions.
- When viewing a subscription for which there are orders you should see
an "Acquisitions details" tab containing the acquisitions data.

The idea of output_and_exit_if_error (added by bug 18403) is to make sure
parameters are valid before executing the script.
If not (old or broken URLs), we shortcut everything coming next to display a
generic error ("object does not exist", "you do not have permission to do that", etc.)
This bug report fixes the scripts under serials/*.
Test plan:
Hit the script under the serials directory with an invalid subscriptionid parameter
and confirm you get an error instead of the normal view with empty values.
The goal is not to be exhaustive during the first iteration, but at least to fix
the most common views.

This patch is a little fix for a much bigger hidden issues.
The original issue:
1. Set the firstname and surname values of a paontr to utf-8 characters
("wide characters"), for instance 月月
2. Use this patron to login at the staff interface
=> In the header the logged in patron's info (concat of firstname and
surname) are displayed correctly
3. Hit whatever link
=> In the header the info are now displayed incorrectly
("ææ")
What happens?
After that the user loggin, loggedinusername is set with the value from
the DB (borrowers.userid)
On next hits it is picked from the session (which contains the decoded
utf8 value, see first lines of C4::Context->set_userenv)
From C4::Auth::checkauth:
834 $s_userid = $session->param('id') // ''
The quick fix is to use the logged_in_user variable in the template, but
it seems that issues may occurred if external authentication is used
(ldap, shib, cas). Could someone test this?

Here we go, next step then.
As we did not fix the performance issue when autofiltering
the variables (see bug 20975), the only solution we have is to add the
filters explicitely.
This patch has been autogenerated (using add_html_filters.pl, see next
pathces) and add the html filter to all the variables displayed in the
template.
Exceptions are made (using the new 'raw' TT filter) to the variable we
already listed in the previous versions of this patch.
To test:
- Use t/db_dependent/Koha/Patrons.t to populate your DB with autogenerated
data which contain <script> tags
- Remove them from borrower_debarments.comments (there are allowed here)
update borrower_debarments set comment="html tags possible here";
- From the interface hit page and try to catch alert box.
If you find one it means you find a possible XSS.
To know where it comes from:
* note the exact URL where you found it
* note the alert box content
* Dump your DB and search for the string in the dump to identify its
location (for instance table.field)
Next:
* Ideally we would like to use the raw filter when it is not necessary
to HTML escape the variables (in big loop for instance)
* Provide a QA script to catch missing filters (we want html, uri, url
or raw, certainly others that I am forgetting now)
* Replace the html filters with uri when needed (!)

When receiving several issues for a subscription (Serials > Serial
collection > Multi receiving), the reception date is always identical to the
publication date.
In some use cases we would like to set this "date received" value to
today.
Note: "date received" refers to the DB column serial.planneddate
To make this possible this patch replaces the JS prompt with a modal
dialog asking for
1. the number of issues to receive
2. if the received date must be set to today
Ergonomic note: bootstrap styled buttons are used, but they do not display correctly
We may need to improve that (later)
Test plan:
- Receive 1 or more serials using the "Multi receiving" buttons
Note that this button appears twice, on the "serial collection
information" and the "serial edition" pages

is correct (i.e. date received is set to today or set to the publish
date)

Having to write [% KOHA_VERSION %] for each url is bad because:
- It's easily forgettable when adding new <script> or <link>
- It prevents grep'ing for the full filename
- It violates the DRY principle
- If at some point we want to change the "force js and css reload"
mechanism, it will be tedious
This patch:
- adds a Template::Toolkit plugin that generates <script> and
<link> tags for JS and CSS files, and inserts automatically the Koha
version in the filename
- use the new plugin to remove all occurences of [% KOHA_VERSION %]
- remove the code that was adding KOHA_VERSION as a template variable
Test plan:
1. Apply patch
2. Go to several different pages in Koha (opac and intranet) while
checking your browser's dev tools (there should be no 404 for JS and
CSS files, and the Koha version should appear in filenames) and the
server logs (there should be no "File not found")

This patch modifies more and more staff client serials templates so
that JavaScript is included in the footer instead of the header.
This patch adds a new JavaScript include, showpredictionpattern.js,
which is used by subscription-add.tt and subscription-numberpatterns.tt.
it also adds subscription-add.js, moving most of the JS embedded in
subscription-add.tt into an external file.
To test, apply the patch and test the JavaScript-driven features of the
modified templates: All button controls, DataTables functionality, tabs,
etc.
- Serials -> New subscription
- Date pickers
- Popup search windows for vendors and bibliographic
records
- Next / Previous buttons
- Form validation
- Prediction pattern operations
Test with new subscriptions, editing existing subscriptions, and
duplicating subscriptions.

The subroutine C4::Koha::GetAuthorisedValueCategories just retrieves all
the authorised value categories.
We already have a method in the Koha::AuthorisedValues module to do this
job, let's use it!
Technical explanations:
The new subroutine of the AuthorisedValues TT plugin will allow to get
the authorised value categories from the templates.
The new html_helpers include file will get rid of the if selected else
end statements. Bug 15758 already uses this file, see the commit
description for more informations.
Test plan:
1/ Create or edit a new fund (aqbudgets.pl), the fields "statistic 1"
and "statistic 2" should be correctly filled with the list of authorised
value categories
2/ Edit subfields for a biblio and authority framework.
The "Authorized value" dropdown list should be correctly filled on both
pages
3/ Create new items search fields (from the administration area), same
as previously, the authorised value category dropdown list should be
correctly filled
4/ Add and edit patron attribute types, check the authorised value
category list.

This patch renames the variable according to the new DB column names
* gste => tax_excluded
* gsti => tax_included
* gstrate => tax_rate
* gstvalue => tax_value
This patch also modify the ModReceiveOrder subroutine:
* Edit vendor note on receiving is not possible, so the code should not
permit that.
* Update ModReceiveOrder to pass a hashref

This patch removes instance of "onclick" from the templates for serial
frequency and numbering management. Events are now defined in the
JavaScript.

which is in use by at least one subscription. In the confirmation
dialog, clicking the "Show subscriptions" link should display a list
of titles.
- Edit or create a frequency.
- To test that the form submission validation is still working
correctly, enter non-numeric data in the "issues per unit" field and
submit the form. This should trigger an error.
In Serials -> Manage numbering patterns:
- In the list of numbering patterns, click the "Delete" button for a
pattern which is in use by at least one subscription. In the

This patch modifies several serials module templates to remove the use
of event attributes. Events will now be defined in JavaScript.
Also changed:
- In Serials -> Check expiration, custom form validation has been
removed in favor of validation with the plugin.
- In Serials -> Claims, the "Clear filter" button has been replaced with
a link. Error messages are now styled with the standard "alert" class.
- In Serials -> New subscription -> Search for record, the "choose" link
is now a Bootstrap button. Pagination links are now styled like other
similar links. The "Close" button is now styled as in other popup
windows. The "no results found" messages is styled as an informational
dialog.
- In Serials -> Subscription -> Edit routing list, the "add recipients"
and "delete all" controls are now links with Font Awesome icons.
To test, apply the patch and:
- Go to Serials -> Check expiration.
- Try to submit the form without filling in a date. The form
validation plugin should warn you that the date field is required.
- Submit the form using data which will return results.
- Click the "Renew" button for any result. The subscription renewal
popup should be triggered for the correct title.
- Go to Serials -> Claims.
- Select a vendor with missing issues.
- Confirm that the date filter works correctly, and that the "Clear
filter" link works.
- Select one or more result and click the "Send notification" button.
The notification should be sent.
- Go to Serials -> New subscription.
- Click the "Search for record" link to trigger the bibliographic
search popup.
- Perform a search. Confirm that the "Choose" button selects the
correct record and populates the fields in the parent window.
- Go to Serials -> Subscription -> Edit routing list.
- Confirm that the process of adding recipients to the list works
correctly.
- Confirm that changing the rank of any recipient works correctly.
- Save the routing list and click the "Save and preview routing slip"
button on the confirmation page. The slip preview should open.
- In the slip preview window, test that the print button works

The staff client CSS is not language-specific, so it can be moved out of
the en/ directory and thus not be duplicated for every translation.
In order to be able to have a generic path to the YUI CSS files, the YUI
directory is moved by this patch to the staff client's lib/ directory.

Look in particular at pages which include more than the standard CSS.
For example:

- Acquisitions -> Vendor -> Basket groups.
- Tools -> News -> Edit news.

# TODO: the "selected" feature should be replaced by a utility function
# somewhere else, it doesn't belong in here. For starters it makes
# caching much more complicated. Or just let the UI logic handle it, it's

To test:
Apply patch and go to pretty much every page on the Intranet - look out
for labels on forms etc where there should be colons but aren't. If you
see any that I've missed but I'm 99% sure I got all of them! Make sure
to click through some forms where creating a new thing involves
continuing the submission on multiple pages.

If patron infos contain invalid JSON chars (\t for instance), the
results won't appear.
The solution is to escape these info.
Test plan:
Edit patron infos in DB (update borrowers set surname="foobar\t" where
borrowernumber=42)
Search for foobar (you should have more than 1 result)
Without this patch, DT retrieves a bad formatted JSON and the results
won't appear.
With this patch, the table result appears

The YUI CSS file "skin.css" is no longer relevant to the staff client
templates and can be removed. Other references to YUI-related classes,
with the exception of grids, can also be removed.
This patch removes references in CSS to:
.yuimenuitemlabel
.yui-button
.yui-menu-button
...and removes the "yui-skin-sam" class from two templates' body tag.
skin.css is also included in a list of assets cached by the offline
circulation page. It can be safely removed.
To test, apply the patch and clear your cache if necessary. Look around
and confirm that the style of the staff client is unchanged.
Search for references to the listed classes and confirm that none are
found.
Revised patch squashes in the follow-up as well as a missing commit
removing skin.css from staff-global.css.

If you try to delete a subscription frequency which is in use by an
existing subscription you will be shown a confirmation dialog. This
dialog should use Font Awesome icons.
Other minor changes:
- Added "action" attributes to <form>s to fix validation errors.
- Added "alert" class to confirmation dialog so that it is correctly
styled.
To test, apply the patch and go to Serials -> Frequencies.
- Click "Delete" on a frequency which is in use by a subscription.
- Verify that the confirmation dialog is styled correctly.
- Test that the "No, do not delete" button works correctly.
- Test that the "Yes, delete" button deletes the correct frequency.

A JavaScript alert should ask the user to confirm deletion of a serial
frequency. This patch adds this to the template.
To test, apply the patch and go to Serials -> Manage frequencies
- In the list of frequencies, click any "Delete" link.
- Verify that a JavaScript alert is triggered.
- Test that cancelling the alert cancels the deletion operation.
- Test that confirming the alert allows the deletion to complete.

The "highlight" class on table rows is unnecessary since we have a CSS
rule which defines colors for alternating row colors. This patch removes
use of the "highlight" class from templates and removes the definition
from staff-global.css

broken anything.
