Throughout staff client and course reserves we also show the field with HTML filter, maybe we shouldn't?
The items lost report also included the note as a title element on title and barcode links, I removed this
as the note displays in that table
To test:
1 - Add a link to publicnotes for an item
<a href="www.google.com">Cats!</a>
2 - View opac details, confirm the note is a link
3 - Same for staff side
4 - Add item to a course reserve
UseCourseReserves preference must be set to 'Use'
From the course reserves module you will need to add a course (and possibly a department first)
Adding should be intuitive
5 - Confirm note is a link in course details on staff and opac
6 - Perform a batch checkout, confirm the itemnote shows as a link
You will need to enable the system preference: BatchCheckouts and add a patron category to: BatchCheckoutsValidCategories
Then a link should be available from checkout for a patron in that category
7 - Mark the item as lost
8 - Go to Reports->Items lost
9 - Confirm the note is a URL and that title and barcode links don't show the note
10 - Click the barcode to go to moredetails for the item - in this case note should display as editable text, not a link

This patch modifies the structure of the checkin form so that settings
(Specify return date, book drop mode, forgive overdue charges) are in a
collapsed panel when inactive. The style of the barcode field and the
mode notification messages has been changed to reduce the vertical
motion of the form when selecting options.
Some class names have been changed in circulation.tt and circulation.js
to make them appropriate for use on both forms.
To test, apply the patch and rebuild the staff client CSS
(https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client).
Clear your browser cache if necessary.
- View the checkin page. The "checkin settings" panel should be
collapsed by default.
- Confirm that the settings panel collapses and expands as it should.
- Confirm that selecting "Forgive overdue charges" or "Book drop mode"
trigger the display of the correct message and that the style of the
barcode field is changed.
- Confirm that after submitting a barcode for check-in, the
settings panel stays open and your selected settings are still
selected.
- Confirm that specifying a due date and selecting "remember" shows
a new message with the selected date.
- Confirm that unchecking "remember" hides the message.
- Confirm that date settings are remembered and the correct message
displayed (or not) during check-in.
- Test with CircSidebar enabled and disabled.

This patch adds a warning if a patron's age is out of limits if an assigned category.
It also adds a button allowing to change the category.
Test plan:
1) Apply patch
2) Create a patron and assign him a category having age limits set
3) Change patron's age to be older/younger than category's limits
4) At "Check out" and "Details" tabs you should see a warning with a
button allowing to change the category, eg.:
5) Set a valid category according to patron's age
6) Warning should disappear
7) Perform similar test again, but instead of changing the age change
the limits of a category
8) During tests verify "Change category" button everytime opens "Modify
patron" page:
http://prntscr.com/cz7g5q
9) Ensure that left-side panel is always on its expected place
10) Remove patron's date of birth and test that all categories are
allowed now
11) Run automated tests: prove t/db_dependent/Koha/Patron.t

This patch adds the ability for items that are on hold to be renewed with a due date specfied by the user. It is enabled by the new "AllowRenewalOnHoldOverride" syspref. It is manifested in two locations:
1. In the "Checkouts" table on the Patron Details screen. It is now possible to select on loan items that would otherwise fulfil a hold request to be renewed. When such an item is selected, an additional date selection box is displayed to allow the user to specify the due date for all on hold items that are to be renewed.
2. In the Circulation > Renew alert screen. When a barcode of an on loan item that would ordinarily fulfil a hold request is entered, the usual alert is displayed indicating that the item is on hold, it is still possible to override this, and renew, however it is now also possible to specify a due date.
Test plan:
- Go to the Patron Details page for a patron who has an item on loan that would fulfil an outstanding loan request.
- TEST: Observe that it is NOT possible to select this item
- Enable the "AllowRenewalOnHoldOverride" syspref
- Return to the Patron Details page for a patron who has an item on loan that would fulfil an outstanding loan request.
- TEST: Observe that it IS possible to select this item
- Select the item
- TEST: Observe that an additional "On hold due date" input box is displayed
- De-select the item
- TEST: Observe that an additional "On hold due date" input box is hidden
- Select the item
- In the "On hold due date" input box, select a due date for the item
- Click "Renew or check in selected items"
- TEST: Observe that the item is renewed as usual
- In the "Renewal due date" input box, select a due date
- Remove the contents of the "On hold due date" input box
- Click "Renew or check in selected items"
- TEST: Observe that the item is renewed by falling back to the "Renewal due date" value if a value is not specified in the "On hold due date" input box
- Remove the contents of the "Renewal due date" input box
- Click "Renew or check in selected items"
- TEST: Observe that the standard loan period is used for the renewal period if no due date is specified in either box
- In the "On hold due date" input box, select a due date for the item
- In the "Renewal due date" input box, select a different due date
- Click "Renew all"
- TEST: Observe that all non on hold items are renewed using the value in "Renewal due date" and on hold items are renewed using the value in "On hold due date"
- From the main staff client from page, choose "Circulation", then choose "Renew"
- Enter the barcode of an item that you know to be on hold and submit
- TEST: In the alert box that appears, observe that a date picker is
displayed
- Choose a due date for this item, then click "Override and renew"
- TEST: In the "Item renewed" box, observe that the item has been
renewed to the date specified

This patch adds a new syspref "UpdateItemLocationOnCheckin" which
accepts pairs of shelving locations. On check-in the items location is
compared ot the location on the left and, if it matches, is updated to
the location on the left.
This preference replaces ReturnToShelvingCart and
InProcessingToShelvingCart preferences. The update statement should
insert values that replciate these functions. Note existing
functionality of all items in PROC location being returned to
permanent_location is preserved by default. Also, any items issued from
CART location will be returned to their permanent location on issue (if
it differs)
Special values for this pref are:
_ALL_ - used on left side only to affect all items
_BLANK_ - used on either side to match on/set to blank (actual blanks
will work, but this is an easier to read option)
_PERM_ - used on right side only to return items to permanent location
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Set the new system preference UpdateitemLocationOnCheckin
to the following (assuming sample data):
NEW: FIC
FIC: GEN
4) Create an item, set its location to NEW
5) Check in the item, note its location is now FIC
6) Check in the item again, note its location is now GEN
7) Check in the item again, note its location remains GEN
8) Test using _ALL_, _BLANK_ and _PERM_ for updates
9) Try entering various incorrect syntax in the pref and note you are warned

This addresses most of the transfer dialogs. There are some dialogs
that I have not converted because I don't know what triggers them,
therefore I cannot test them.
The following scenarios have been addresses, and should be tested:
FOR TRANSFERS
1) Checkin with no issue, hold or transfer; not at home (AutomaticItemReturn set to Don't)
* Should give 3 options - Yes, Yes with print, or No.
* Yes and Yes with print should trigger a transfer back home.
* No should do nothing.
* Print should open a window for printing, with correct
information.
* All three options should close the modal.
TO TEST:
1) Set AutomaticItemREturn to Don't.
2) Check in an item with no issues, holds or transfers set, at a
location other than the owning library.
3) Test conditions above.
2) Checkin with no issue, hold or transfer; not at home (AutomaticItemReturn set to Do)
* Should give 2 options - Print or OK.
* Should automatically set transfer.
* Print should open a window for printing, with correct information.
* Both buttons should close modal.
TO TEST:
1) Set AutomaticItemReturn to Do.
2) Check in an item with no issues, holds or transfers set, at a
location other than the owning library.
3) Test conditions above.
3) Checkin with no issues or holds, but transfer already set
* Should give 3 options - OK, Print or Cancel.
* OK and print should not touch existing transfer.
* Cancel should remove the exisiting transfer.
* Print should open a window for printing, with correct information.
* All three options should close the modal.
TO TEST:
1) Check in an item following step 2 of either test above.
2) Check in item again, while a transfer exists.
3) Test conditions above.
WRONG BRANCH
4) If AllowReturnToBranch is not set "to any library", and the item is not checked in at the appropriate branch, the wrong-branch-modal pops up:
* Should give 1 option - OK.
* Should not check anything in or initiate a transfer.
* OK should close the modal.
TO TEST:
1) Set AllowReturnToBranch to "only the library the item is from".
You can test the other settings, as long as you pay attention to
where you are checking the item in at.
2) Check in an item at a branch other than the owning library.
3) Test conditions above.

When a hold has been suspended or is waiting, the status
message appears in the Barcode column of the Holds table. This patch
fixes this by adding a separate Status column which details the status
of the Hold, whether it has been suspended, or is in transit, etc.
Test plan:
1) Place an item level hold and a 'Next Available' record level hold for
a patron.
2) View the holds in Patrons->Patron details for that Patron in the Check out and Details tabs
3) Suspend one of the holds, and note that the status appears in the
barcode column
4) Set a hold to be waiting for pickup, and note the status appears in
the barcode column
5) Apply the patch
6) Check the same holds and note that the statuses now appear in the new
column called Status, and note that if a hold has status effect that the
row reads "Hold has been placed"
7) Verify that this is the case in both the Holds tables (in Check out
tab and Details tab)

This patch modifies the display of several values in the holds to pull
report so that they can be displayed as lists instead of as chunks of
HTML generated in SQL.
This patch modifies the SQL in pendingreserves.pl so that values can be
formatted in the same way that holding branch is. The better long-term
solution is to remove SQL from pendingreserves.pl altogether, but this
is a quick fix.
This patch also makes a couple of minor markup changes to fix
validation.
To test, apply the patch and go to Circulation -> Holds to pull. To see
the changes the patch makes your holds to pull list should have titles
with multiple items at multiple branches, with call number, copy number,
and enumeration data. These values should all be displayed in bulleted
lists.

This patch makes a number of changes in order to improve the way the
staff client's header menu adjusts at narrower browser widths:
- Updated version of Bootstrap 3.3.7 which includes the "collapse"
JavaScript plugin.
- Modified default Bootstrap CSS using Bootstrap's customization tool.
These changes facilitate the removal of some custom CSS (overriding
Bootstrap) from staff-global.scss.
- Added Bootstrap config file for loading customizations at
https://getbootstrap.com/docs/3.3/customize/
- Revised button classes for buttons in Bootstrap-styled toolbars.
The modified default CSS resets the base font size in Bootstrap to
better match our global CSS. A side-effect of this is that toolbar
buttons ended up looking smaller than they should. Changing the
button class solves this.
- Restructure the header menu in order to allow different rules to
govern the appearance of the navigational part of the menu
(Circulation, Search, etc) and the user menu (Set library, My
account, Log out).
- Modify the cart JS to so that the popup works well at narrow widths.
To test, apply the patch, regenerate the staff client CSS, and clear
your browser cache.
- Log in to the staff client and observe the layout of the header menu
as you adjust the browser to various widths.
- Confirm that sections of the menu "collapse" as the window gets
narrower.
- Confirm that dropdown menus behave correctly and that links work.
- Confirm that the Cart link works as expected when the cart empty
and when it has items.
- Install and enable multiple translations, including at least one
set of sub-languages (e.g. fr-FR and fr-CA).
- Test the appearance of the language menus in the footer at
various browser widths.
- View pages with button toolbars and confirm that they appear unchanged
(e.g. biblio detail page, patron detail page).
NOTE: While this patch is intended to make improvements to staff client
responsiveness, it does so within a limited scope. There are still many
pages which do not work well at narrower browser widths.

In record detail page, item location is displayed with CSS using class "shelvingloc".
Many many places at intranet and OPAC can use this class.
It allows to change display in all places using CSS customisation.
This patch removes the CSS "display:block" for class "shelvingloc".
Some places where using "inline" to correct the display.
I think the display should not be managed in template.
So it will be inline by default and it can be changed by custom CSS, on all places or depending on a selctor.
Test plan :
1) Compile SCSS to CSS
2) Add to preferences IntranetUserCSS and OPACUserCSS : .shelvingloc { color:red }

This is a simple fix using the right TT filter:
[% issue.date_due | $KohaDates as_due_date => 1 %]
The time part of the due date will only display if it's an hourly loan (!=23:59)
To test:
- Check out 2 items
- One with a loan period in days
- One with a loan period in hours
- Verify the the due date only shows the date part
- Apply patch
- Return items and repeat
- Verify that now the time part will show for the hourly loan

DataTables are used on enough pages in the staff client that it
doesn't make sense to put inclusion of the CSS into each template
where it is needed. This patch moves includes of datatables.css from
individual templates into the global header file.
To test, apply the patch and view various pages which have DataTables.
View various styles of DataTables, e.g.
- Full pagination, like item search results
- Four-button, like Saved SQL reports
Everything should look the same as it was.

that when a patron's registration is expired a message shows at the top
of the page along with the same "Renew" and "Edit" links which appear on

Why? Because we must filter the variables when we display them.
If we escape them on assignement, they will be double escaped:
[% XXX = "<span>pouet</span>" | html %]
[% XXX | html %]
=> <span>pouet</span>
Also it will bring trouble if we are assigning a structure (see bug

2) Run updatedatabase.pl
3) Enable the new syspref HoldsAutoFill
4) Check in an item that should be trapped for a hold
5) Note that instead of the modal asking if the hold should be filled,
instead you get a message box showing the hold was filled, along
with a button to print the hold slip.
6) Enable the new syspref HoldsAutoFillPrintSlip
7) Repeat step 4
8) Note the same behavior, but this time the print dialog displays
automatically

This patch is a little fix for a much bigger hidden issues.
The original issue:
1. Set the firstname and surname values of a paontr to utf-8 characters
("wide characters"), for instance 月月
2. Use this patron to login at the staff interface
=> In the header the logged in patron's info (concat of firstname and
surname) are displayed correctly
3. Hit whatever link
=> In the header the info are now displayed incorrectly
("ææ")
What happens?
After that the user loggin, loggedinusername is set with the value from
the DB (borrowers.userid)
On next hits it is picked from the session (which contains the decoded
utf8 value, see first lines of C4::Context->set_userenv)
From C4::Auth::checkauth:
834 $s_userid = $session->param('id') // ''
The quick fix is to use the logged_in_user variable in the template, but
it seems that issues may occurred if external authentication is used
(ldap, shib, cas). Could someone test this?
Test plan:
Make sure the original issue is fixed

When the syspref BlockReturnOfLostItems is set to Block, the item is blocked from being returned, but is still considered found -- it's set to lost=0 and a refund is applied to the patron (if circ rules allow). The item can then be checked in a second time and returned as it is no longer lost.
Test Plan:
1) Set an item to lost
2) Set BlockReturnOfLostItems to Block
3) Check the lost item in
4) Checkin message should say item is lost and cannot be returned
5) Check lost status of item, it should remain unchanged

Here we go, next step then.
As we did not fix the performance issue when autofiltering
the variables (see bug 20975), the only solution we have is to add the
filters explicitely.
This patch has been autogenerated (using add_html_filters.pl, see next
pathces) and add the html filter to all the variables displayed in the
template.
Exceptions are made (using the new 'raw' TT filter) to the variable we
already listed in the previous versions of this patch.
To test:
- Use t/db_dependent/Koha/Patrons.t to populate your DB with autogenerated
data which contain <script> tags
- Remove them from borrower_debarments.comments (there are allowed here)
update borrower_debarments set comment="html tags possible here";
- From the interface hit page and try to catch alert box.
If you find one it means you find a possible XSS.
To know where it comes from:
* note the exact URL where you found it
* note the alert box content
* Dump your DB and search for the string in the dump to identify its
location (for instance table.field)
Next:
* Ideally we would like to use the raw filter when it is not necessary
to HTML escape the variables (in big loop for instance)
* Provide a QA script to catch missing filters (we want html, uri, url
or raw, certainly others that I am forgetting now)
* Replace the html filters with uri when needed (!)

Code and variables to deal with the update child feature are not
centralized but copied/pasted in several scripts. Which leads to issues
obsviously (bug 20805 for instance).
Moreover the strings used by the templates are also in several template
files (or .inc)
To deal with that this patch introduces the idea to create 1 .inc file
per .js file
Here we have members-menu.inc for members-menu.js
Test plan:
- Remove all your adult categories (categories.category_type='A')
- Create a patron with a child category
- Try to update to adult category
=> The entry does no longer appears! (This is a change in the behaviour)
- Create one adult category
- Update to adult category
=> There is a JS confirmation message, if you accept the patron will
be updated to the adult category
- Create (at least) another adult category
- Create another child
- Update to adult category
=> No more confirmation message but a popup to select the adult category
- Pick one
=> The patron has been updated to the adult category

This patch makes a couple of minor interface changes and updates the way
checkbox change events are handled:
- jQueryUI tabs initialization sets a variable for "active table" which
can be re-used by functions which affect only the visible table.
- The batch "Actions" menu is shown or hidden based on whether there
are checked items.
- The item selection tools are shown or hidden based on whether there
are rows in the table.
To test, apply the patch and test various article request actions:
- Single "process," "complete," and "cancel" operations.
- Select all/ clear all operations on both tabs.
- Batch operations with checked requests.
- Process all pending requests to confirm the selection controls for
that table are hidden.
- Complete all processing requests to confirm the selection controls
for that table are hidden.

Clear and Actions menu.
An additional javascript function HandleMulti is placed between the form

the change
my @notes = $schema->resultset('Issue')->search({ 'me.note' => { '!=', undef } }, { prefetch => [ 'borrower', { item => 'biblionumber' } ] });
to

but am having problems on the template side. I can access the item and

The goal to this enhancement is to add the ability to cancel a hold and
mark items as lost from the 'Holds to pull' page.
A new pref is added to control the behaviour, default is off
To mark items as lost you need to set the new pref CanMarkHoldsToPullAsLost to one of these two values:
- "Allow to mark items as lost"
=> The item will be marked as lost and the hold will be cancelled
- "Allow to mark items as lost and notify the patron"
=> Same as previously but the patron will be notified as well.
The notification is done using a new notice template (code=CANCEL_HOLD_ON_LOST).
Feel free to suggest another default wording.
To update the values of the items when one of these 2 buttons are used, you need to
fill the UpdateItemWhenLostFromHoldList with something like: 'itemlost: 1'
Test plan:
1/ Place holds on some items
2/ Go to Home > Circulation > Holds to pull
From here you can cancel the hold or
3/ Mark the items as lost
=> You will receive feedback messages depending on different situations:
* The CANCEL_HOLD_ON_LOST does not exist
* The patron does not have an email address (but the notice has been
enqueued! It is the current behaviour with other notices)
* The notice has been enqueued
* The hold has been cancelled

Having to write [% KOHA_VERSION %] for each url is bad because:
- It's easily forgettable when adding new <script> or <link>
- It prevents grep'ing for the full filename
- It violates the DRY principle
- If at some point we want to change the "force js and css reload"
mechanism, it will be tedious
This patch:
- adds a Template::Toolkit plugin that generates <script> and
<link> tags for JS and CSS files, and inserts automatically the Koha
version in the filename
- use the new plugin to remove all occurences of [% KOHA_VERSION %]
- remove the code that was adding KOHA_VERSION as a template variable

Here we are, patronflags is used in a couple of places where (almost) all flags
were really useful: C4::SIP::ILS::Patron->new and circulation.pl
This patch only deal with the circulation code as I am not convident
enough with SIP code.
The change does not seems trivial because of the complexity of the
existing code, but the logic is the same. We send a variable to the
template depending on the situation of the patron.
I guess only code eyes ball could catch issue in this patch quickly.
Maybe we need to find a good place in a Koha module to move this code
and provide code coverage (especially when C4::SIP::ILS::Patron will
reuse it).

Before this patch set, we used KohaTable to display a table with the
column visibility plugin, and an usual dataTable initialisation for the
filters.
For the lost items report table we will need both.
To do so we need to reorganize the code a bit
We cannot pass a selector but the id of the node which represents the
table. Indeed it is how works currently the filters (we may want to
improve that later)

In order to simplify and make uniform the code, the controller scripts send
a Koha::Patron object to the templates instead of all attributes of a patron.
That will make the code much more easier to maintain and will be less
error-prone.
The variable "patron" sent to the templates is supposed to represent the
patron the librarian is editing the detail.
In the members module and some scripts of the circulation module, the
patron's detail are sent one by one to the template. That leads to
frustration from developpers (making sure everything is passed from all
scripts) and to regression (we got tone of bugs in the last year because
of this way to do).
With this patch set it will be easy access patron's detail, passing only
1 variable from the controllers.
Test plan:

the patron you are editing/seeing info are correctly displayed.

This patch fixes a bug caused by the changes in Bug 19641. JavaScript
embedded in circ-patron-search-results.inc executes before jQuery is
loaded.
This patch adds a separate javascript file which can be included both in
circulation.tt and request.tt since both use the same include.
To test, apply the patch and submit a patron name in the check out form.
On the page of search results, clicking a table row should work the same
as clicking the patron name link.
Perform the same test during the hold process: Locate and place a hold
on a title. In the patron search form, submit a patron name and test the
behavior of the search results screen.

appears to have been a long-broken three-column layout.
- article-requests.tt - Article requests list. Turn on the
ArticleRequests system preference if necessary. Go to Circulation ->
Article requests.

with wide margins on either side. At lower browser widths the margins

This patch modifies the circulation template so that
itemBarcodeFallbackSearch results show in a modal window.
To test, enable the itemBarcodeFallbackSearch system preference and open
a patron's account in circulation.
- Submit a string which will return search results. When the page
reloads a modal should display showing a table of title search
results.
- Test the "Check out" button and confirm that the correct item is
submitted.
- Test closing the modal and re-displaying it using the new "Show
matching titles" button.
- Confirm that the "Add record using fast cataloging" button still
works correctly.
- Submit a string which will return no results. No modal window should
display, and only the "Add record" button should appear.
- Confirm that normal checkout works correctly.
- Test with itemBarcodeFallbackSearch disabled, and with a user who
lacks Fast Cataloging permission.
Revision removes a heading which was made redundant by the modal markup.

Koha suffers of big bugs due to its history: When data are deleted, they
are moved to another tables.
For instance issues and old_issues: when a checkin is done, it is moved
to the old_issues table.
That leads to a main problem that is described on
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/DBMS_auto_increment_fix
However we tried first to fix the problem (for issues/old_issues) at
code level on bug 18242.
The goal was to prevent data lost.
Data lost may happens in this case:
Check an item out (issue_id = 1)
Check an item in (issue_id = 1)
Restart MySQL (reset auto increment for issue_id to 1)
Check an item out (issue_id = 1)
Check an item in => BOOM, the issue_id is a PK in old_issues and the
move fails.
Before bug 18242 the data were lost, we inserted the value into
old_issues, which fails silently (because of RaiseError set to 0 in
Koha::Database), then delete the row from issues.
That has been fixed using a transaction.
This patch introduced a regression we tried to fix on bug 18651 comment
0, the patron was charged even if the checkin was rejected.
A good way to fix that would have been to LOCK the tables:
1- Start a transaction
2- LOCK the table to make sure nobody will read id and avoid race
conditions
3- Move the content from one table to the other, dealing with ids
4- UNLOCK the table
5- Commit the transaction
But there were problems using LOCK and DBIx::Class (See commit
905572910b - Do no LOCK/UNLOCK the table).
Finally the solution implemented is not acceptable for several reasons:
- batch checkins may fail
- issue_id will always stay out of sync (between issues and old_issues)
See 18651 comment 66.
Since the next stable releases are very soon, and we absolutely need to
fix this problem, I am suggesting to:
1- Execute the move in a transaction to avoid data lost and reject the
checkin if we face IDs dup
=> It will only reject 1 checkin (max is 1 * MySQL restart), no need to
deal with race conditions,
2- Display a warning on the checkin page and link to a
solution/explanation
3- Communicate as much as we can on the proper fix: Update auto
increment values when the DBMS is restarted -
https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/DBMS_auto_increment_fix
4- Display a warning on the about page for corrupted data (see bug
18931)
5- Write and make available a maintenance script to fix corrupted data

The file circ/circulation.tt exposes the following line to translation:
%s %s [%% INCLUDE 'blocked-fines.inc' fines = chargesamount %%] %s %s
Translators should not be confronted with code internals.
This patch fixes it by removing a line break.
To test:
- Verify that code change makes sense
- Run QA tools in newest version (check for line breaks in tt directives)
- Bonus test: Create a "language" aa-AA (perl translate create aa-AA

hold to another patron
2. Check the item back in
3. Notice a modal box appears greying out the background with three
buttons 'Confirm hold', 'Print and confirm' and 'Ignore'. Click confirm
and notice that the page refreshes and no yellow warning messages are
able to be displayed
4. Now that you have checked the item in. Try checking it in a second
time by clicking on the Checkin tab and writing in the barcode.
5. The modal box will appear again, this time with three buttons
'Confirm', 'Print and confirm' and 'Cancel hold'
6. Click the 'Confirm' button and the page refreshes again and the
yellow warning message hidden by the modal box is not properly displayed
to the user. Notice that the focus is on the barcode input box.
7. Apply patch
8. Try checking in the item again, and this time after clicking the
'confirm' button on the modal box notice that the yellow warning message
is displayed telling the user the item was "Not checked out". Also
notice the focus is in the barcode inputbox.
9. Drop the hold on the item and make sure it is not checked out.
10. Repeat steps 1 and 2 and notice after clicking the 'Confirm hold'
button the page refreshes and the item is successfully checked back in.

This patch addresses template issues with the newly-added patron clubs
pages.
- Move Clubs tab out of second position in Circulation page tabs.
- Link patron name in enrollments list to the patron record
- Make page titles on some pages more specific
- Correct label "for" attributes so that it matches input id
- Correst style of buttons: Buttons in tables must be "btn-xs," all
Bootstrap buttons must have "btn-default."
- Correct "Edit" icons: Should be "fa-pencil"
This patch also revises the club template editing form to make it more
consistent with similar interfaces in Koha and (hopefully) make it more
clear.
To test, apply the patch and test adding clubs and club templates and
enrolling patrons in clubs via the staff client and OPAC. Confirm that
everything looks and work okay.

This patch adds a "Note" input field to checked out items in the "your summary"
section. The field allows patrons to write notes about the item checked out,
such as "this DVD is scratched", "the binding was torn", etc. The note will be
emailed to the library and displayed on item check in.
Patch adds two fields to the "issues" table - "note" and "notedate".
Patch adds syspref "AllowIssueNotes" - default off.
Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Update database
3) Rebuild schema
4) Turn on 'AllowIssueNote' syspref
5) Check out three different items to a borrower (may be easiest to check
out to yourself)
6) Log in as that borrower (or yourself) on the OPAC side and go to your
summary
7) Confirm text field shows under Note column for all checkouts. Set a
note for each issue, confirm all save.
8) Check the message_queue in mysql for the entries for ALL THREE issue
notes.
9) Disable javascript in your browser
10) Refresh your summary page. Confirm that you can no longer edit the
notes in the text field. Click the 'Create/edit note' button and confirm
you are redirected to a new page.
11) Confirm that the correct title and author show for the note button
you clicked.
12) Set the note and click Submit -> confirm you are redirected
back to summary page and note is saved
13) Confirm there is a new entry in message_queue
14) Enable javascript and go back to the your checkouts page in the
staff client for the borrower you issued the items to
15) Check in TWO items
16) Confirm that the issue notes show under the "Date due" column for
the two items you checked in, and are accurate to the item (i.e. the
right issue note under the right item)
17) Go to circ/returns.pl and check in the final item using the barcode.
Confirm the issue note shows and the date is formatted correctly.

If the AutomaticItemReturn system preference is set to "Don't" and you
check in an item which belongs to another library, a dialog will ask you
if you want to transfer. This patch corrects a bug to enable the "Yes"
buttons to work, triggering the transfer.
To test, apply the patch and check in an item which belongs to another
library. In the dialog, click the 'Yes' button and confirm that the item
has been made 'in transit' to the correct library.
Perform the same test with the 'Yes, print slip' and 'No' buttons and
confirm they are working correctly.
Since this patch changes the behavior of many other popups triggered
from this template, test other operations which trigger a 'print slip'
option like:
- Checking in an item which is part of a rotating collection
- Checking in an item which is on hold for a patron

There are many patron-related templates which still use event attributes
to define events. This patch updates these templates so that events are
defined in JavaScript.
To test apply the patch and check out to a patron.
- From the Print menu in the toolbar, choose "Print summary." The patron
summary page should open and the print dialog should be automatically
triggered.
- From the Print menu in the toolbar, choose "Print slip." The patron
slip page should open and the print dialog should be automatically
triggered.
- From the Print menu in the toolbar, choose "Print quick slip." The
patron quick slip page should open and the print dialog should be
automatically triggered.
- Click the patron's "Fines" tab in the left-hand sidebar and then
choose the "Account" tab.
-- Click the "Print" button for an account payment (the link should
point to printfeercpt.pl). A print receipt page should open and
the print dialog should be automatically triggered.
-- Follow the same procedure for a transaction which is not an account
payment (the link should point to printinvoice.pl).
- Click the "Create manual invoice" tab.
-- Select one of the "type" choices. Doing so should automatically
populate the "Description" field with the corresponding code.
-- If necessary, define one or more values for the MANUAL_INV
authorized value and confirm that those invoice types work as well.
- From the patron's "Pay fines" tab, click the "Pay amount" button. In
the "collect from patron" field, enter any combination of letters,
numbers, and symbols. When you tab away from that field your text
should be reformatted to currency format.
- From the patrons home page, change the filter in the left-hand sidebar
and submit it. The correct results should be returned.

The way the export options are displayed at the bottom of the checkouts table
was not consistent.
Prior to this patch set, they are display if ExportRemoveFields or
ExportWithCsvProfile is set.
It does not make any sense, the user could want to export the checkouts in
iso2709 format without having to define a csv profile and fill the pref.
Moreover the behavior of this pref did not match its description: it's used as
a default CSV profile when exporting records from the export tools or the
command line.
This patch set adds a new pref ExportCircHistory and remove
ExportWithCsvProfile. The new pref is set if ExportWithCsvProfile or
ExportRemoveFields were set.
A new dropdown list with the CSV profile list will be displayed in the
export area, at the bottom of the checkouts table.
Note that now --csv_profile_id is mandatory for the export command line
(misc/export_records.pl) if the export format is csv.
Test plan:
0/ Do not execute the DB entry
1/ Clear both ExportWithCsvProfile and ExportRemoveFields prefs
2/ Execute the DB entry
3/ ExportCircHistory should not be set and the export options should not
be displayed at the bottom of the checkouts table.
4/ Remove the pref
DELETE FROM systempreferences WHERE variable='ExportCircHistory';
and reinsert the previous one, with a value:
INSERT INTO systempreferences (variable, value) VALUES
('ExportWithCsvProfile', 'something');
Execute the DB entry again
=> The now pref should be now set
5/ Export some checkouts using the CSV entry
6/ Note that the export tool and commandline script still work using the
csv format. You have to provide a --csv_profile_id option to make it
work.

This patch adds a new circulation rule (no_auto_renewal_after) to block/allow
auto renewals after a given delay.
For instance, if the issue date is 10 days before today, and
no_auto_renewal_after is set to 10, tomorrow the issue won't be auto
renewed.
Test plan:
0/ Execute the update DB entry
Note: You will have to manually change data in your DB, make sure you
have access to the sql cli.
1/ Define a rule with no_auto_renewal_after (10 for instance) and
norenewalbefore (5 for instance).
(This new rule will behave the same as norenewalbefore: the unit depends
on the lengthunit value).
The automatic renewals will be done from 5 to 10 days ahead.
2/ Modify the issues.issuedate, to simulate a checkout in the past:
UPDATE issues
SET issuedate = "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss"
WHERE itemnumber = YOUR_ITEMNUMBER;
with issuedate = 2 days before for instance
3/ Execute the automatic renewals cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl)
Confirm that the issue has not been renewed (too soon)
4/ Repeat step 2 with a due date set as 11 days before
5/ Execute the automatic renewals cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl)
Confirm that the issue has not been renewed (too late)
6/ Repeat step 2 with a due date set as 7 days before
7/ Execute the automatic renewals cronjob script (misc/cronjobs/automatic_renewals.pl)
Confirm that the issue has been renewed (issues.renewals has been
incremented and date_due has been updated according your circ rules).

In the Staff client, under Circulation > Renew, the message shown after
successful renewal of an item contains broken URLs. This is also true for
the message shown when you try to renew an item that is not checked out.
This patch fixes that.
Test plan:
1) Go to Circulation > Renew, and search for the barcode of a checked-out
item. In the 'Item renewed:' confirmation message, notice how the URLs
for the title and the barcode are broken.
2) Now search for the barcode of an item that is not checked out. In the
'Cannot renew:' message, notice how the URLs are broken here too.
3) Apply the patch.
4) Repeat steps 1) and 2). This time the URLs work fine.

When the itemBarcodeFallbackSearch syspref is on, the wording in the
interface should reflect that you can enter a barcode OR a keyword.
Additionally, in the results of a keyword search the "Fast cataloging"
link should be more descriptive. This patch fixes these issues.
Test plan:
0) [PREREQUISITES] Ensure you have a Fast Add ('FA') framework defined,
and that your itemBarcodeFallbackSearch syspref is set to 'Enable'.
1) Go to Circulation -> Check out, search for a patron, then select a
patron to Check out. Notice how the text above the textbox reads
"Enter item barcode:".
2) Type something generic (not a barcode) in the textbox so that you'll
get at least one item as a result. Notice how the text in the yellow
warning box reads "The barcode was not found: <terms> Fast cataloging".
3) Apply the patch.
4) Repeat step 1), now the text above the textbox should read
"Enter item barcode or keyword:".
5) Repeat step 2), now the text in the yellow warning box should read

In previous versions of Koha, if a hold canceled from the "Holds over" tab had other holds on it,

This is the fourth and last patch set to remove C4::Branch.
The real purpose of this patch is to standardise and refactor some code
which is related to the libraries selection/display.
Its unconfessed purpose is to remove the C4::Branch package.
Before this patch set, only 6 subroutines still existed in the C4::Branch
package:
- GetBranchName
- GetBranchesLoop
- mybranch
- onlymine
- GetBranches
- GetBranch
GetBranchName basically returns the branchname for a given branchcode.
The branchname is only used for a display purpose and we don't need to
retrieve it in package or pl scripts (unless for a few exceptions).
We have a `Branches` template plugin with a `GetName` method which does
exactly this job.
To achieve this removal, we will use this template plugin and delete the
GetBranchName from pl and pm files.
The `Branches.all()` will now select the library of the logged in user
if no `selected` parameter has been passed.
This new behavior could cause regressions, for instance there are some
places where we do not want an option preselected (batch item
modification for instance), keep that in mind when testing.
GetBranchesLoop took 3 parameters: $branch and $onlymine.
The first one was used to set a "selected" flag, for a display purpose:
select an option in the libraries dropdown lists.
The second one was useless: If not passed or set to 0, the
`C4::Branch::onlymine` subroutine was called.
This onlymine flag was use to know if the logged in user was able to see
other libraries infos.
A patron can see the infos from other libraries if IndependentBranches
is not set OR if he has the superlibrarian permission.
Prior to this patch set, the "onlymine test" was done on different
places (neworderempty.pl, additem.pl, holidays.pl, etc.), including the
Branches TT plugin. In this patch set, this test is only done on one
place (C4::Context::only_my_library, code moved from
C4::Branch::onlymine).
To accomplish the same job as this subroutine, we just need to call the
`Branches.all()` method from the `Branches` TT plugin. It already
accepts a `selected` parameter to set a flag on the option to select.
To avoid the repetitive
[% IF selected %]<option selected="selected">[% ELSE %]<option>[% END %]
pattern, a new `html_helpers` TT include file has been created, it
defines an `options_for_libraries` block, which takes a `selected`
parameter. We could imagine to use this include file for other
selects.
The 'mybranch` and `onlymine` subroutines of the C4::Branch package have
been moved to C4::Context. onlymine has been renamed with
only_my_library. There are only 4 occurrences of it, against 11 before
this patch set.
There 2 subroutines are Context-centric and it makes sense to put them
in `C4::Context` (at least it's the least worst place!)
GetBranches is the tricky part of this patch set: It retrieves all the
libraries, independently of the value of IndependentBranches.
To keep the same way as the existing calls of `Branches.all()`, I have
added a `unfiltered` parameter. If set, the `Branches.all()` will call
a usual Koha::Libraries->search method, otherwise
Koha::Libraries->search_filtered will be called. This new method will
check if the logged in user is allowed to see other libraries or only
its library.
Note that this `GetBranches` subroutine also created a `category` key:
it allowed to get the list of groups (of libraries) where this library
existed. Thanks to a previous patch set (bug 15295), this value was
not used anymore (I may have missed something!).
Note that the only use of `GetBranch` was buggy (see bug 15746).
Test plan (for the whole patch set):
The best way to test this whole patch set is to test with 2 instances: 1
with the patch set applied, 1 using master, to be sure there is no
regression.
It would be good to test the same with `IndependentBranches` and the
without `IndependentBranches`.
No difference should be found.
The tester must focus on the library dropdowns on as many forms as
possible.
You will notice changes in the order of the options: the libraries will
now be ordered by branchname (instead of branchcode in some places).
A special attention will be given to the following page:
- acqui/neworderempty.pl
- catalogue/search.pl
- members/members-home.pl (header?)
- opac/opac-topissues.pl
- tools/holidays.pl
- admin/branch_transfer_limits.pl
- admin/item_circulation_alerts.pl
- rotating_collections/transferCollection.pl
- suggestion/suggestion.pl
- tools/export.pl
Notes for QA:
- There are 2 FIXMEs in the patch set, I have kept the existing behavior,
but I am not sure it's the good one. Feel free to open a bug report and
I will fill a patch if you think it's not correct. Otherwise, remove the
FIXME lines in a follow-up patch.
- The whole patch set is huge and makes a lot of changes.
But it finally will tremendously reduce the number of lines:

In order to remove accessibility issues due to the readonly attributes
on date inputs, this patch will remove them and introduce a javascript
validation on them.
This patch is not perfect for some reason:
I didn't manage to force the user to select a valid date. One solution
would be to reopen the datepicker plugin until a valid date is inserted.
But it could be annoying for users (and for me: I did not manage to
implement this solution).
You will note that input is emptied if the date is not valid. This is a
quick and efficient solution to prevent submitting invalid date and make
Koha explodes. A proper solution would be to implement the check server
side send a friendly message to the user.
Test plan:
For all inputs, try an invalid and a valid date.
1/ Debar a patron
2/ On the checkout tables (circulation and moremember), add a renewal
due date (at the bottom of the tables)
3/ On the checkout page, specify a due date
4/ On the return page, specify a return date
5/ On the invoice page (acquisition module), enter a shipment and
billing date
6/ On the invoice search page (invoices.pl) use filters shipment and
billing dates
7/ On the offline circ page, specify a due date
8/ On the edit patron page (memberentry), add a debarment
9/ On the reserve page (reserve/request.pl), use the date inputs to
suspend until a defined date
10/ Edit patrons in a batch (tools/modborrowers.pl) and use the
registration and expiry date inputs

At the moment when scanning in returns, it can be easy to miss a hold

to clicking the "ignore" button.
